VOLVO is one of the smoother running distribution Factory/Warehouses, I've been to. The guards are vigilant, but friendly for the best part. They do their job well and efficiently. Checking in is usually quick and easy. The only place that is slow, is in waiting for a pre-loaded trailer. It gets a little backed up, but the yard spotters are fantastically quick. So, usually the wait isn't too long. Overall, it's a good place to ship and receive. The photos are of the waiting area.

I was working here installing some assembly equipment I had done the control systems on. Plant is clean and well maintained. People here are friendly and helpful. I've worked on this plant a few times over the years and it's always been a good experience. Also the drive down here is really nice. Virginia is beautiful.

Extremely nice people. Easy to get unloaded. We had an expedite load so that probably made a difference. We also have a Volvo that was made here. Love our truck!

My Partner works here and it's a great place for people to work and for the most part the company seems to care for it's employees and means something. Just add a little raise due to inflation and we would be in business

A dreadful place. The management team is awful. Working conditions have only gotten worse with the influx of cheaper salaried staff from Brazil. Be sure to learn Portuguese so you understand them when they are talking about you.

If you're a truck driver enter through main entrance. Exit 98 turn left then turn left at light on Alexander (McDonald's on left) follow to plant. Straight through light guard shack will be on right. In and out

I'm a owner operator driving trucks for over 25 years I have purchased few volvos before. Finally I got my brand new 2023 VNL 860 truck after one year and 2 months waiting time . Through all that time communications were very bad with Volvo seems to me nobody knows what's going on in that plant to get some answers. My brand new truck came pretty bad damaged due to the transportation with a lot of scratches, The truck came with some missing parts ,that I was not informed they will be missing, they put wrong parts, My engine breaking and cruise control is not working. My inside cabinet doors will not close or not lock .And a few other issues. My question to Volvo is where is the quality check control And why did they not catch all those problems with the truck before you ship it. The truck was sitting for one month in the parking lot due to parts shortages they could have checked everything I just spent close to $200000 for a truck and is this what I get. Great quality work volvo I'm not sure I'm buying another volvo. And who's gonna pay me for the downtime when I have to leave my truck in the shop so I can get it fixed for all the problems ,and the damages. When you order a brand new equipment you expect to be perfect not having issues to start working on it ,,that's my opinion thanks everyone.

They don't put family first . Don't treat their employees very nice . The only place I have ever seen take benefits and pay away to accommodate the company in a new contract The union is not a good one . .

There was a strike going on at the Volvo plant, the two times I picked up a Volvo Tractor to deliver to Atlanta , GA. Security staff were very helpful while I was there both times.

This company treats their people like dirt. Ex. 52 employees tested for 16 new job slots. After telling some they had the jobs, they decided to retest. With the new scores, they posted the 16 promotions, then changed the list and posted again, then again. Some people were given and lost the promotion 2 or 3 times in 1 day. How is this good management? Should we support a company that treats their people in this way?

My appointment was at 6am. I get there 3 hours later just because they didn't allow to stay on the property and make me to leave and come back. I couldn't come at 6am., because of my logbook. So I come back after 10 hours rest, was already 9am. They rescheduled same day but for 10pm.They don't care about u, or your family waiting for you home. I spend 16 hours on my truck just waiting.I remember when the covid-19 started to spread everyone was saying thank you drivers and God bless you for helping us on this hard time, but now everything is ok.When the business starts to close again, I hope this is going to be the first one.FEEL BAD FOR DRIVERS, WHO HAVE SIMILAR EXPERIENCE LIKE ME. BE SAFE EVERYONEFor management ( if u guys can work out and help, then do so, don't be bossy, tomorrow u will need help.

It is fairly easy to get to the docks, and everyone I encountered was quite friendly from the guard shack to the receiving office. The only problem is that the place is absolutely packed far beyond capacity. Make a space for your loaded trailer, and may God be with you when you're getting an empty trailer. You will probably need a yard dog to pull various empties lined up in front of other empties, buried 3 deep.

If you drive a box truck or cargo van, you can t drop until 0600. My drop off time was 0400, got to plant at 0200...was shooed away until 0600. There s a Walmart off of Alexander Dr, 2 miles away, to sleep. Other than that two nice security guards.

Nice people, easy in and out. Can't park on the premises. But there is a truck stop and also a Walmart couple miles a way. I've added a picture just for clarification because I went to the wrong gate then was directed for the this gate.

The Global Security bunch is a joke. The most unorganized group on planet Earth. There is absolutely nothing secure about having them at Volvo.

I've just left the Volvo dealer in Charlotte, NC, and in the last two months I've been twice more in Tucson, AZ with the same problem. The Volvo "mechanics" got no idea what they're doing. I paid almost 10,000$ and still have the same problem, they just replace random parts on my truck. I've got the invoices and everything.Stay away from Volvo !!!!!!

Warehouse team is great, but security guard unfriendly and unprofessional towards drivers. Based on interaction with her, I could never see myself buying a Volvo.

It was a pleasure to deliver to Volvo. They got us in and out in 45 minutes and there was plenty of room to back in

Terrible signs of where you need to be and the the receiving guy suffers from little man syndrome and talks big behind the glass and is very rude to drivers.
