The staff was awesome! We've recently moved back to the Valley from AZ. The staff was friendly, informative, and efficient. New patient appointments are 6 months out. If you are new and need something before you establish a new provider, I would HIGHLY recommend them!

I always suggest this place to everyone because they take appointments and they are very quick and efficient! And the staff has always been nice to me and my daughter.

I was impressed! Had eye injury and wanted to make sure it was not serious. Called Velocity Care to see if they could even handle that or should I make an optometrist appointment. The woman who answered the phone was very pleasant, said they could take care of that, and offered to make an appointment to avoid the flu crowd. We made the appointment, and I had barely sat down in the waiting room before they called me back. Nurses were efficient in collecting background information and the PA who actually inspected my injury was confident and clear about what he was going to do. That made me feel better, as better as I could feel with someone working on my eye. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. Would definitely recommend!

Would not recommend. We saw the PA, Joseph eddins for my husband's issue and he was very dismissive and rushed. He was hanging onto the door handle trying to leave while we were still asking questions. He spent a total of maybe 1.5 minutes in our room and barely provided any patient education except for the bare minimum. He was very abrasive and unfriendly. There was only 1 other person in the waiting room and this is not the ED of a hospital... so no need to rush like that. Very disheartening. The front desk staff and the nursing staff were great.

Took my daughter in for what ended up being an ear infection and the staff were so kind to her, from the front desk to all of the clinical staff! Treating a sick toddler isn't always the easiest thing to do but by the time we left, she was in a great mood despite not feeling well. On top of that, we were in and out in 30 minutes. Highly recommend using the Save a Spot feature to help with wait time!

I usually go to the Velocity Care on Electric Road but I live closer to the Daleville location so I went today for the first time and it was very good experience. Everyone was kind and welcoming. The nurse and NP I saw had great bedside manner! I m prone to feeling lightheaded and occasionally passing out and the lightheaded-ness set in and the NP was quick to accommodate me and didn t make a big deal about it (which I always appreciate because the feeling will always pass, I just need a minute). I ve been to places where I feel like a nuisance because of my issue but didn t feel any of that today. I ll definitely be going back for non-emergent, urgent needs. Thank you!

Several years ago this place used to be great and really lived up to its name. Today I learned that now if you walk in for help, expect a wait as they take appointments. The big complaint is that the woman checking me in tried to convince me that scheduled time slots are not the same thing as appointments! Ridiculous!! So, had I known an appointment is now needed to avoid a wait time, I could have called for that before leaving the house for what used to be a great walk- in clinic. The same woman said they only have 2 providers here. The obvious solution would be to hire more providers or else change the name on their sign to Something such as Seen Same Day Care. Scheduled time slots= an appointment. Anyone with any sense knows that! That being said, the actual medical professionals that helped us, N P, assistants and x- ray tech were good !

Companies like this is what makes your insurance costs higher. Don't go here. This company charges you more if you bill with your insurance provider then without insurance. Don't give your insurance information to this place if you want a correct bill. They don't check if the bill is covered either.I called and they quoted $115 for an office visit without insurance.I received a bill for a $200 office visit after copay I owe $154 for the office visit.

Honestly this place does not deserve a 1 star rating. Friday, November 25th, 2022, I had my 16 year old special needs (Autisic) son scheduled to have a sports physical for Special Olympics at 12 noon. When we were called back, they got his height and weight, then took us back to the exam room to be seen by the attending physician. I gave the nurse the papers that the dr would need to fill out. She looked at the paperwork all puzzled and then said she didnt know if they could do the physical. I said "What do you mean?" She said "let me go check with the dr, I will be right back." So a few minutes go by and she proceeds to tell me that the dr doesn't feel comfortable doing the physical. I said why? She said because of his comorbities. She said they were under the impression that this was for a High School sports physical. I told her that when i called to make the appointment i specifically told them it was for Special Olympics. I said to her that the only thing wrong with my son is that he is AUTISIC, a learning disability, other than that he is perfectly healthy. All you would have to check would be his vitals, ht, wt, listen to his heart and whatever else. She said the dr just doesnt feel comfortable doing it. The nurse even said that they wouldnt even charge me for the visit. She said that i would have to make an appt to see his regular dr. I said i already tried, they're the ones who sent me here. I was so angry and livid when i left, that my son grabbed my hand and said it would be ok. So since i have had the whole weekend to calm down, i go to check my sons mychart that they wrote my son left without being seen. No, the dr refused to see my child and we were pretty much told to leave. So...... if anyone who has a child that has a disability and needs a physical for sports, please dont waste your time going here. They dont feel comfortable around those with special needs. Granted, if my child had major issues, i could see not doing the physical. But this was not the case. I pray i or my son never have to experience this type of discrimmination again. But I will say this, myself or my family will not be coming back to Velocity Care in Daleville.

I come here every single time we are not feeling well. I have seen some reviews on here about the time wait and a lot of people don t know it may be due to the allergy clinic on certain days. I have always came here and had a great experience. The doctors, nurses , and staff are great!! I m never in there long. Thank you to the drs and nurses for being so great with the kids!

The worse place to go to of you are sick! Their providers are a joke! I came there about 6 months ago and had Covid but their testing said I didn t. Went home and went straight to the hospital to get proper treatment. Then my son who is high risk went there about 2 months ago and they claimed he did not have Covid only for me to take him to the hospital and guess what he tested positive for Covid! My daughter yesterday went there with obvious flu symptoms they told her she just had a cold and to go home and rest and drink plenty of fluids. I woke her up this morning and she had a fever of almost 103! So I took her to the hospital and come to find out she has the flu! I called velocity care to see why a chest X-ray was not done and I was told cause the providers did not feel it was necessary! Not necessary? The child went in complaining of chest pains! That should of been the first thing done! If you care about yourself or your kids health do not go to velocity care in Daleville! They are slow in more ways than 1!

Some visits here have been decent, most have been frustrating. I ve continued to go here simply due to the closeness to home. After today s visit I will be going to the one at Tanglewood.Today s visit was due to some flu like symptoms and a bad cough. I was there 7:55am and called to get checked in at 8. Someone answered saying the front desk was tied up and they d have them call me back to get checked in. About 10 minutes later (after seeing multiple people arrive and go in) I get a call to finally get checked in. Then about 50 minutes later I m called again to come inside. (Usually I wait for about 3 hours so I was surprised at that).Dr. Potter saw me but was very unsympathetic and not easy to talk to. I let him know what was happening and he checked a few things without saying anything. I had to ask him if everything looked ok. After he left, I had to ask the nurse if I could be prescribed a cough medicine because he didn t even consider that even though I have bronchitis. The staff there is passive aggressive (with the exception of a few amazing people, I don t know their names).Overall one of the worst clinics I ve ever been to. Should not be labeled an Urgent Care.

Doctor and nurse were very helpful and competent. Check in was horrible. My 2 hr wait turned into four because whoever checked me in didn t do it when I called. Then when I called at the 3 hr mark to ask about it the woman was rude and kept insisting I was only checked in for an hour and 45 min (my phone said otherwise). Plus, when you re there for an infection, telling the patient to take Tylenol that ll mask the fever, is inappropriate.

DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE!! My 2 year old got yelled at for crying and being inpatient what 2 year old with a deep gash needing stitches would be! The receptionist took it upon herself to yell at my two year old which made the whole situation worse!! Definitely not going back and I pray no one else experiences that my son and I did

No longer an urgent care. It is now a an open 7 days a week by appointment care clinic. Why call it an urgent care when an appointment is needed and they can't even schedule it for the same day?

Took my son there the other day . He is 9. Not only did they tell me I can make an appointment and not wait because my son felt so bad but they totally missed my sons ear infection. I had to take my son to urgent care by towers . They listened and now my son is on antibiotics but his ear infection is so bad blood was coming out of his ear..never again going there.

Usually really good but tonight went with a sick baby and waited for 4 hours and only 3 cars in parking lot. When PA Danny Hogan saw us he ended up sending my baby s prescription to the wrong place than we agreed to send it to and they had closed by the time I was able to get there. Now my baby has to suffer because of this doctors negligence. I will only go back if I absolutely have to and never want to see that PA again!

Took my daughter to this velocity care in Daleville on December 2nd 2021. The PA came in room and ask her what was going on. After she told him she had pressure above her eyes and below them he looked in her nose. He never checked the pressure above her eyes or below them. He never checked under her neck for swollen lymphoids. Never listened to her lungs or heart.Yet, he was able to diagnose her with an upper respiratory infection. Just by asking her about six questions and not checking anything but her nose. Also, he wasn t interested in giving my daughter any type of antibiotic even though she has a well documented history of chronic sinus infections.I would not recommend this place and will not use them again.

I went for my covid test, first was negative went back a week later due to me still being sick, positive test. No complaints pay, then my younger brothers who stay with me have been sick as dogs my grandma went to take them they lied and told her it would be a $120.00 co pay per child. We called Medicaid they told us the office was not being truthful and that they cover it completely. Then I took them the next day and they told me that they will decide if they want to test them or not.. we ll they don t test after 7pm we got there at 5 pm then the parking lot started to fill up they took every single person that got there after us and we had sat in the lot from 5pm-7:45pm and they told us they can t test them after 7.. they are passive aggressive, they did everything in their power to not let my little brothers get their covid test. All testing sites were booked and both brothers have asthma so on top of that they needed a new Enhailor they were awful to these kids even tried to be passive aggressive. Then my friend went and they lied to her and told her she has a 50$ co pay for her stitches. Well called her insurance and that was not true. They try to scam money out of you! THEY ARE PASSIVE AGGRESSIVE!!

Lisa at the front desk is very passive aggressive and rude. Very fake. I arrived with my son who was wearing a mask and I wore a mask as well. Lisa, like a Karen, slid a medical mask over to me and said I would have to wear that instead. She said I only had a face covering and not a mask. Only Carilion owned place I ve been in since the start of Covid that has had this new rule. Don t be like Lisa.

I m surprised to see so many negative reviews for this clinic. I just moved here from Colorado and have had to go to VelocityCare twice. I ve seen two different nurse practitioners and they were both super knowledgeable with great bedside manners. I was very impressed with them. Hopefully I won t need to go back, but if I do, at least I know that I m in good hands.

To start the office opened late. People were standing outside to be let on, but no one cared to open. I was 4th person in line for the day. At 8:40 I was finally asked if I had ever been seen before and given paper work. At 9:00 I was finally called to be checked in. A full hour after arriving to just be checked in. I asked how long before seeing a doctor and was told there was people in front of me....how???? I was the fourth in line. When o asked to have my credentials return because I was leaving the receptionist slammed them down and said thanks for wasting my time . She was very rude and incompetent at her job. It should never have taken a full hour to check a patient in. I also was not the only person to leave before being seen. The doctor for the day didn t arrive until 8:25. And had to ask to be let in because the receptionist was not paying attention. Place just needs to close.

Waited on HOLD for almost 3 hours. When I finally walked in to see if that was normal, they said I shouldn t have been on hold. They then mentioned that someone in the back must just have not picked it up. The check in system is absolutely terrible.I tried again and had a much better experience now that the lobby is open. The staff was much kinder and efficient this go around.

We waited over 2 and a half hours for a doctor to see us about a sprained ankle. They are severely understaffed, even though there were not many patients to be seen. If there was an emergency or anything related to kids, you're better off going to the ER or traveling a little farther to a different medical care location.

My wife was seen by a so called Dr at this facility. He was in there for 3 minutes and never gave her a diagnosis, he sent her home with steroids. Less than 24 hours later she felt like she was given an improper diagnosis so she return to the office with hopes it would not cost anymore money. The staff told her she would need to pay another copay and that she was being harsh on the Dr. The staff then proceeded to ask her why she didn t do a self diagnosis and ask for a flu shot. We have already been waiting for 45 minutes on the Dr. to come back and revisit. I can only imagine what he has to say. I am writing this review before the outcome because I am so upset about the services that have already been delivered. I do not recommend this office, if you are at all able to avoid this office I would highly recommend it.

I have been to this Velocity care multiple times and have never had a bad experience. We took my 4 year old there lastnight for a high fever and the nurses and doctor were all GREAT with him. They were very patient with him (he hates going to the doctor), and gave him some gingerale because they heard he was thirsty. The doctor was extremely kind and took her time talking with us about his diagnosis. It was a good experience. Today I recieved a call from thek just checking in to see how he was feekings and to see if I had any questions for them. It was a pleasant surprise! Thank you all for being so kind and going above and beyond for my son!

I usually have pretty good experience at the Velocity care, however today was by far the worst experience with them. I went in for what I thought was an ear infection/ sinus infection. The dr checked my ears and throat but never said anything g about them. I was refused any antibiotics, they stated that I hadn t had symptoms long enough and that I should have a covid test done before they issues me any form of medication.

Showed up an hour and a half before close on a Sunday with an infected cyst. After waiting an hour to get a room the male doctor on staff saw me for all of 5 minutes, wrote a script for antibiotics (very weak ones for a serious infection it turns out) and sent me on my way. I just left the ER from VCU MCV (where I live) and the doctor was baffled that's all that happened! It got severely worse and I had to undergo a very painful emergency procedure. If you think you actually have an urgent issue, stay away!!Only redeeming quality was how friendly and nice the receptionist was.
