Darren in the service department is awesome. Even with the spring rush, he got my equipment in and got me back up and going quick. I have worked with my equipment sales and service department through the years, but I will be coming back to K&M thanks to Darren.

Took my saw in for service 2 days before Christmas holiday. I asked if they could in any way complete it before they closed for the holiday. They said it would be ready before they closed 3 days later. 3 hours later I got a call saying it was finished. 5 stars all day long!!!!!!....

My Scag mower died while mowing leaves. I asked for my mower back ASAP and they fixed the issue and returned my mower in 3 days. Runs great now. Thank you.

I recently went in there to purchase a couple of items and see about getting my lawn mower worked on. I found the staff very friendly, knowledgeable and overall helpful. This is a place if you need items to take care of your yard from cutting it, trimming to digging it up they got it will get it. Also if you need supplies to trim your trees or climb them they have everything you need from safety harnesses, ropes, slings and saws. They carry a variety of name brands that most people know like STIHL, SCAG, YANMAR, HUSQVARNA, KOHLER just to name a few. Yes, I will be a repeat customer in the future because I like the service. Why just 4 stars..... always room for improvement.

I found that the same part they would have to order to get for $ 390 dollars I can purchase myself for $ 190 dollars and have it shipped free. I had a mower tire replaced by them and it was $150 for tire. I found the exact same tire at tractor supply for $50 .They sell very nice equipment but they definitely are not cheap. If you don't need it immediately your better off ordering it yourself.

Great Service and Sales. Easy to do business with. Well stocked shelves. Nice showroom. Plenty of equipment to choose from. 2nd visit, I brought a tire in for a new innertube to install. Price was reasonable and I asked for the return of the old to see what caused it to go flat. They actually do what they say and return it to you! And the time estimate was s week, instead I has it back in 3 days.

Left a riding mower (Craftsman 18.5HP) with them for approximately 3 weeks. They took it apart and ultimately told me that it would cost $800 to to fix a $1300 mower. It was diagnosed as having a broken crank shaft. Also told me it would cost me more to put it back together. They returned the mower in pieces along with a bag of parts (nuts / bolts). Basically I paid over $300 to have them tear it down and return it to me in pieces. Those are the facts and you can ask yourself if this was a fair deal. By the way, after some research a new crank shaft costs about $50. I would have been better off keeping my money and kicking the machine until it fired up. At least it started periodically before I brought it to them.Absolutely no help and very poor customer service. Do not recommend at all.Update 04/25/2022: Checked my card statement just to confirm amount charged: Diagnosis charge on 8/3/2021 for $81 at - K&M Lawn Garden and ARCulpeperVA and another for $234 on 8/23/2021.

Our 17 year old son went to K & M to purchase his very own Turf Tiger mower to mow his own lawns with. I must say the service is above and beyond what we expected. The sales representative s name was David and he did everything he could to make our son s shopping experience a pleasant one. He was there from the beginning and was very caring and helpful in every way possible. My son reached out to him several times with questions or concerns and he always responded so quickly! We highly recommend them for any mower purchase you may be looking to get. My husband has been a customer for years and they are superb!!!

Stopped by to ask for their help with a Husqvarna zero turn mower. It took a bit but the eventually helped us figure out what our problem was with our mower. Now I owe one of the parts guys lunch. We'll definitely be back when we need service or parts for our mower.

I love my Scag Liberty Z 52" Zero Turn that I got from F & M. David Silverman was great to work with and I found the other staff I have interacted with to be customer-oriented as well - and that includes Darren, Noah & Greg. It took me a while to id the mower for me, but after my first ride I know I got the right machine. It is powerful and fast, and my first experience with a zero turn - which is amazing. I've had no problems with my Scag, but David & the K&M staff are always responsive to any questions I may raise. I highly recommend David and K&M Lawn, and my Scag product. You won't go wrong! Steve

I have been in the market for a sub compact tractor for several years. After looking at the large inventory and speaking with these professionals, it was an easy decision. K & M equipment and their salesman, Buck are knowledgeable friendly, and go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure they do what s best for the customer. I would highly recommend them to anyone in the market for either a tractor or a top of the line 0 turn lawnmower.

Never had anyone sharpen mower blades for me before. They said they had the machine that does a perfect job and quickly. Dropped a set off and waited. 2 1/2 days later, I call to see if they lost my number. They said the blades were not done yet and to wait a few more days. I returned the next day to pickup the blades, get money back, and sharpen myself. I was told they didn't have the manpower to do the work. God only knows how long it would take if you brought in a zero turn, chainsaw, or other items for repair. They never told of a possible delay due to manpower when dropping off the blades.

Great business. The staff is very genuine. I believe they really care and really want to help you. Skag mowers a little pricey, but worth the extra money.

We ve Used K&M since they first took over Swan s. We bought our first commercial mower from Ken in 2008 and still have it to this day. Parts and service have been great the whole time. They still have most parts on hand for all of our equipment. Local business, friendly knowledgeable staff, and parts on hand. 5 out of 5 for sure!

For more than ten years, I have taken my scag mower to K&M for annual maintenance. This year was different from the past -- perhaps a reflection of the relatively new change in ownership and management. I was extremely disappointed to the extent that I now believe I was "taken to the cleaners." While I did approve of most of the work that was performed, much of it -- I later found out -- was unnecessary. And the cost ($1,082.97), particularly for labor, was exorbitant. Since relating my experience to neighbors, I have found that some have also experienced the same outcome. For me, honesty is the cornerstone of reputation. And it will always catch up. As for K&M, never, ever again!

I can not believe no one thought of this before. The service that K&M is doing is propane tank pick up, fill and return. It is so easy! And efficient! And the service is above and beyond. They know what great customer service is all about. I encourage everyone to just call, get signed up and get the best service ever! We signed up at It's About Thyme and I am so happy we did!

No one even attempted to wait on me as i walked though the showroom then i walked around the outside looking at the inventory i wanted to purchace a mower as i had before nut they have made so much money they dont need anymore

I was in the market for a new zero turn. I called around to see who had the best bang for your buck. After doing my homework the Scag has the best around. This is by far the best warranty I found. All others were 3 years or 300 hours. I talked to Buck at 7:30 am on a Wednesday and I told him he sold me and I would be back to buy all my stuff, and I mean all my stuff for the yard.. A week later I did what I said I was gonna do. I couldn't be more happier with my purchase and service from K&M. I will continue to buy from here and get my service done as well.

I wish I have anything positive to say about this local business but I don t. For the prices they charge, their lack of customer service is remarkable. They insisted on servicing the mower which broke after three months (just a belt) and failed to mention it would be two weeks to change a belt. Called to complain and Management couldn t care less. I recommend taking your business elsewhere which offers customer service and a service department capable of handling their customer load.

Have had work on my mower three times. Work is fine, but service VERY LACKING. Kept in shop for a week without contacting me because the service department had inverted digits of phone number on work order, EVEN THOUGH my phone number is correct in their system. Another occasion, was called and told mower would be delivered the next day. I waited an extra day and called, only to find they had scheduled me for two days after that.UPSOT: DO NOT COUNT ON THEM TO KEEP THEIR WORD about scheduling or communicating with customers

I have been dealing with this company since they first went in to business. Greatest people that I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with !! I think they are the most knowledgeable people that I have dealt with about the products that they offer. They will do all they can to help you and get you up and running when you are down and crawling . From the owners to the people behind the counter and the mechanics back in the shop;Just all around good people!! I think they must have scoured the country to get that many people to work at the same place that know what they are doing and what they are talking about when you ask them about something that you want or need to know the answer to.As far as I'm concerned they are your go to dealer for lawn and tree care equipment. And the inventory is very plentiful. If they dont have it they can can get it in short order. I dont know how they feel about me but I feel like we have built more of a friend relationship.Check them out I promise you wont be disappointed . BrianTreeScape Services

On 10/27/20, had taken my zero turn in for an oil check and some routine work. Since it was the end of the season, I garaged it and left it until today. When I tried to mow my lawn, it started smoking heavily almost immediately after turning it on. Apparently they left the drain plug loose and it leaked oil all over the deck and stained my garage flooring. I m lucky I noticed before my motor locked up.

Horrible!!! We paid the $750.00 to repair our lawn tractor, only to have the engine blow up in less than 10 days after getting it back. We asked if they would apply a portion of that $750.00 toward a new lawn tractor and they said no! I think a GOOD mechanic would have known that there were engine problems and should have told us not to put money into this tractor. They are a rip off! I will never take anything there again. Very dishonest and very, very slow! It took them nearly four months to repair! They cater to the locals and to lawn and landscape companies. If you are a homeowner and are not from this area, do not go there....you will be disappointed!
