Had a bad experience when my car went in for its inspection. They first tried to over charge me for brakes. Then my car got damaged in the back while with them and they are denying it. I would not ever take another car to them and I would not recommend this place to anyone. They are rude and unhelpful. The damage to my car got worse the next day so it was fresh when I picked it up.

Great place to take your vehicle. They got the job done quickly and right then didn't overcharge me and didn't give me anything I didn't need. It's like taking your vehicle to your grandfather to work on. Highly recommend them over any other auto place in Culpeper

Reliable, local, and good Culpeper people. Gilmores carries out very relaxed service. You re not oversold or undersold - nor have to listen to a dozen upsells.ALWAYS my first choice outside your own dealership. Recommend highly.Timing is important, you need to be early, random walk-in not advised!

This place has always treated me well. As a teacher in the county, they are very convenient, honest, and respectful which is nice after a long day. They have worked on both of my vehicles and have done nothing but a fine job. My wife has also made appointments over the phone and has had nothing but nice things to say about this establishment. I recommend this shop to all the teachers I work with.

Inspected my vehicle last year they inspected my vehicle last year no problem one year later they discovered issues that would have taken years to develop in order to make money including door hinges and motor and transmission mounts The Ripping

Run!!! Run!!! Run!!! The owner cursed at me. Last month i went to get my car inspected and it failed for brakes. We asked for estimate on brakes. When they took apart, they told us needed to replace. They could not take it down off lift.....$900 later and they gave us our car back with rejection sticker on it. Now we need new tires. So we got new tires. They passed our inspection on May 6 2019, now June 25 2019 my brakes are failing. Went back to talk to owner... The owner curse me out, wanted to lift my car again. I said no. I wanted him to drive with me. He stated he doesn t want to deal with me. Only my husband. He never did business with me. However, the owner looked up my invoice under my name. The bank account is in my name. I said fine my husband and i will come back. He curse me more. I looked at the owner and stated i was not cursing please don t to me. I simply want to understand what s happening to my vehicle. He told me get get the (curse word )out. I m on lunch i got plenty of business...... don need you. The owner stated. Ive been in business over 40 years!!!!! Run Run run. Don t use them!!!

Very professional and much quicker than they had estimated it would take to do my yearly State Safety Inspection. I needed to replace my two front tires but I thought that might be the case. There was no pressure from Gilmore's to have them replace the tires. I very much appreciate not being pressured. That's why I keep coming back to Gilmore's.

I have had breaks, rotors and new tires done here and all went well. Only thing is every time I went in the young lady at the desk was always on her cell phone. Nice kid but little unprofessional. In all I do plan to continue using the shop

Tech needs to clean his AZZZZ before stepping into other people's vehicles. Dirty AZZZZ left oil stain on my door handles and floor mat.

Excellent customer service!! Highly recommend to anyone. I called just to ask questions about a vehicle inspection and he helped me answer questions and give me leads on what to do even though he had nothing to do with selling me the car. Thank you kind sir!

I went to Gilmore's this morning to see if they were able to look at my car, which failed inspection due to a tie rod needing to be replaced. The man behind the counter seemed to be confused or irritated by the fact that I brought my vehicle to them despite being inspected elsewhere. I informed him that my inspection was done by a small dealer in Warrenton that does not perform the needed repairs. He told me they could not perform the estimate until Thursday, which is fine. When he wrote my name on the calendar for a Thursday morning drop-off, he had trouble spelling my last name. I informed him I'd been there before, thinking he might be able to look me up and he actually said "WHATEVER". I turned around to leave and another gentleman in the waiting area made sympathetic eyes at me; he also seemed shocked by the rude interaction, as was I. I've had several pleasant interactions with the other gentleman who works the counter there, and had some work done there before, which is why I came back in the first place. I'm not sure if this guy was having a bad day today or what, but this to me was totally and completely unacceptable. I don't think I'll be back after that.
