The store itself is as you'd expect, just your average car parts shop. The staff though, that's where they shine. Knowledgeable with or without their computers nearby. Went in for a battery swap, I dropped a bracket in my engine compartment... the dude helping me went above and beyond. He spent the better part of 20 minutes squeezing his arm down until he finally retrieved it for me, this is AFTER we failed to get it with a grabby claw. Excellent staff!

I failed an inspection for wiper blades and a low beam headlight, came here for parts and they were very helpful. Can't remember the name of the first gentleman that helped me but he got me setup with blades and the bulb I needed. He even offered to put the new blades on and showed me how to do it for next time, incredibly helpful. I went back the next day because I decided I wanted to return the 1 bulb for a pair of better bulbs. The lady that helped me with the exchange and picking new bulbs was also very helpful. Would absolutely recommend this place and I'll be back when I need more parts or advice.

It Trully is great to be able to walk in and get the help you need and also they will change your battery out forts free after you have paid for it they will do a Dianostic on your vehicle to see what's making your vehicle run ruff and if they can't get the part for you they will check to see where you can get it!! Traveling from Luray to Maryland we had truck problems. We stopped at advance auto in culpeper. My husband went in and ask for some help and James Y. brought out testers, check out the truck determined alternator was bad, had the replacement in stock, and helped us find a mobile mechanic to changed the alternator. James was awesome, great customer service, thank you.

Went into the store today and stood at the counter while everyone was in the corner talking with their backs turned.. one guy said was I ready and I said yes and he got someone else to come up to help me.. then when I called the store I was put on hold 5 times!! the first two people answered asking if I could hold and I said yes and then they just kept putting me on hold.. I finally hung up and called somewhere else.. both of these experiences have put me off going there again..

Good evening everybody. Like the Bible says "through knowledge," a man increases his strength and I was certainly weakened by the lack of knowledge pertaining to how to pinpoint what was wrong with my car. However, David came to the rescue by first narrowing down the exact code I needed and then proceeded to explain thoroughly the possible things that could be wrong and the most cost effective way to fix it. The knowledge he gave me was very well rounded and he didn't sugarcoat the cost of repairing it. Great job David. Dios te bendiga

My truck's key fob was beeping the horn and repeatedly locking the doors!UGH!Went to Advance Auto and got friendly and knowledgeable help...shared his opinion about the best deal on replacement batteries, too!After explaining the company's policy against him opening it for me...he showed me how to change the battery and let me use the micro tool I needed to open it right there in the store.(I'd rate it as 5 except that he'd not known there's a tiny screw holding the fob together.)

I had the worst experience today in your store. Only 1 employee at the counter while many others we standing around in and outside the store. The guy at the counter tried to help but he was unsuccessful he couldn t cross reference a spark plug but I don t believe he put much effort towards helping us the phone was ringing and only the guy helping was answering. I now realize why help wanted was on the front door.

Great selection and prices, really helpful and friendly staff, always willing to order a part or call around for you if they don't have something in stock. They've made some great recommendations for fuel cleaners and wiper blades as well.

The gentle who waited on me surprised me. He asked what I needed and for what. I told him and he said OK. I was like what... your not gonna go and double check and make sure the vehicle infos correct. Lol!! Other places have in the past years. Thinking to myself I bought the vehicle so I ought to know what it is and I drive it and pay for the gas so I ought to know if it's a V6 or V8 are turbo or even a 4 banger.

Brought my old battery to the store, it was heavy. Someone from the store came out and got it and put my new one in the car for me as well. Excellent customer service! Super knowledgeable, friendly...They have my business.

Good store and staff. Always a quick and fast visit when I'm in. Not sure how knowledgeable the staff are as I usually do online pickup or know what I'm after but they are always friendly.

I love Advance Auto and it is the only auto parts chain I deal with. Unfortunately this particular location is not typical of the chain. I was told by Judy that I couldn't get a refund on a part they had sold me even when I needed to buy the correct one for over twice the price of the wrong part. I went to the location At Salem Church, where I was taken care of without any problem at all.

Always so helpful and courteous. As a woman it is very refreshing when dealing with auto related issues to get treated with respect. Culpeper and Fredericksburg locations have been very good to me over the past 17 years.
