Used to be my favorite shop to get work done. Not sure what has changed but now they charge $150 as a diagnostic fee. It's not waived if you get the work done and isn't cheaper if you're a prior customer like it was originally every time I've come here. I suggest anyone seeing this to look up the average diagnostic fee and scratch your head as to why theirs is 3x the average. For easy jobs you'll end up spending more on the diagnostic than the actual work done.

Strongly recommend this shop, good service, pricing is greatly affordable. They did changed my brakes, rotors, brake lines and serpentine belt. They offer free bottled water and coffee. Will be returning for future services

Staff took me in close to quiting time, like 4:45pm. Got my car in and out and they still closed on time. Fair prices as well.

Driving through VA and got a bolt in our tire ....they were closing in like 10 minutes but they took the time to go ahead a fix our tire so we could continue our trip. Very kind and quick. Very highly recommend these guys!!!Service: TiresService: Tires

Whatever you do DO NOT let Uncle Leo s work on your vehicle!!! I took my Volvo there for service 1) to get front brake pads and 2) for an oil change, and neither was done professionally!!! So instead of Uncle Leo s installing Volvo break pads on my vehicle they put the cheapest brakes they could find and by doing so them particular pads DID NOT seat properly which in turn cause my vehicle to make weird noises and to brake improperly! And with regards to the oil change the mechanic DID NOT secure the seal on the oil filter ( maybe he pinched it rushing!!! ) which in turn cause my vehicle to have an oil leak. I highly recommend NOT taking your vehicle to Uncle Leo s for service!!

Horrible customer service. If you do maintenance on someones car and notice another problem, it would be of common courtesy to mention to the customer what you noticed and not the customer ask you about it, and you fumble your words and act if you don't care cause the customer called you out. If you're going to own a business definitely be trust worthy and not about money. This used to be my go to shop but after the the last experiences I definitely will not be a returning customer.

Wasn't gonna come here tbh, was headed to jiffy lube. However, I saw it was vet-owned so decided to try them out. Very honest staff didn't try to upsell me or bs me straight up told me my car was in great condition. Most people try to bs me on what the car needs because my car is 9 years old. So, I do appreciate that. Most definitely will be back. Thank you.Service: Oil change

Today i had a razor blade in my tire an was grateful for it to happen not far from uncle leo's. I was short on time an these guys took care of me above an beyond. Uncle Leo's Auto care was great walked in for an appointment for my inspection and it was only a few days wait unlike other places where it was weeks before I could get an appointment. They did a great job with my oil change and changed my brakes. My car runs amazing!! I went to Uncle Leo s because my car had been having major problems cutting off for a LONG time. They were able to get my diagnostic done FAST the same day! I really appreciate how they kept me updated throughout the process. I took a chance on Uncle Leo s for an oil change and they were fabulous. Very nice, efficient, and reasonably priced. They found some work needed to be done on my car and I made an appointment to drop off my car in the morning of my one day off to get it done. Just over an hour after leaving it with them to do this work, I received a phone call saying it would take them an hour longer to do the work than anticipated, so my cost would be $100 more than quoted and when I said to go ahead because I didn t have another open day for it, I was told they couldn t finish it in that day, I would have to leave the car overnight. When I explained that wasn t an option for me, they said I could drop it off one day the following week and they could do it then. I don t understand why they couldn t do it within the day that I had already scheduled for it to be done. I had to pick up my vehicle and make an appointment elsewhere to get the work done at a later date. I will not be going back to Uncle Leo s.Service: Oil change

Incredibly helpful auto care provider. Everyone that works there seems to be willing to ask questions and ensure that they know the problem before they start trying to solve it. The only thing I wish they could do is alignments. I know it is because of a limit on space, but I just wish I could get that done there as well. But regardless, once I find a mechanic that I can trust, I don't want to change, and I think I have found that with Uncle Leo's.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I am one of those people that still believes that a company should held to their word. Back in April of 2021 I had an issue with my car. I went in knowing what was wrong and didn't need a diagnostic. Well they did one anyway and wanted me to pay for it anyway so, I did but I was NOT happy about it. I later called back up there to let them that it was wrong for me to be charged for something I already knew was going on with my car. After a day of complaining and saying im going to write a review about the service because it wasn't right I received a call from Gab apologing and telling me I have a 50.00 credit for an oil change when I want to use it. Well I call today and and asked for Gab who answers the phone but he claims I don't have a credit and to do what I have to do.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I will always get my oil changed here. They can always get you in the same day. They make sure fluids are topped and tire air is good. Great price and better service.

I took my vehicle to Uncle Leo's as a first time customer for some brakes and rotor's and check engine light issue. My A/C was also not blowing cold. The staff was very courteous and gave me an estimate on my repairs. The price was more than fair and right on once everything was fixed and they even waived the diagnose fee ($50) to see exactly what was wrong with my A/C since I was already getting work done. I will now be using them for all my auto service needs in the future. I usually go to the dealership and they wanted over $100 just to tell me if I needed an A/C recharge. Very impressive team here. I came in for breaks issues but was advised of other issues. I m thinking here we go again ripping me off - but nope they were honest told me what was important and what I needed to hold off. I got the oil change and literally came back two weeks later after payday to get my situated and tires taken care of. When was the last time a mechanic shop told you that some issues on your car did not immediate attention? Ya I thought so.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Stopped by uncle Leo s during my lunch break to try to get an oil change. They were busy but still fit me in my oil change was done in like 20 minutes. These guys are sent from heaven. If there is a Buisness partnership I admire - it s these two gentlemen. Two brothers each using their strengths to deliver a high quality service in the most efficient and cost effective manner. I hope to see their shop prosper and one day have a shop in the Richmond area. But as of now, driving from Richmond to use them as the primary shop for all our vehicles is worth it. Fair prices and honest work. That s what they are about.

I live in Hampton ,Va and my son attends VSU. He had a front tire that was loosing air. So I google Uncle Leo's and called them. Told the guy who answered the phone about my son tire and he said send him to the shop and they would take care of him. Once my son arrived he called me and stated that stem was bad on the tire. Uncle Leo's you now have a new customer. Thanks for being honest and taking care my son vehicle. I pray that your shop continue to be blessed .Service: Tires

Highly recommend you go here! Especially if your a veteran or still in the service. With there already low prices you get a extra discount added on. Very professional owners, that look forward to providing you quality service. If your looking to get away from those big company s that over charge. Went in here for a tire patch a couple months back. It was still leaking, but I thought it was from the valve stem. Turns out it was still from the hole they patched. Fixed it no charge the second and third time. Second time the leak slowed down greatly. So greatly I was sure it was a different place. Came back fully expecting to get the value stem replaced. Nope. Found it on the same patch. One more patch and things seem good. Next step is new tires.Service: Tires

Not only were the staff professionals. They gave me the most competitive price I've ever seen on tires!! And then did it all in record time. I was in and out in less than 30 mins...for a tire change!!

Since I bought my vehicle 2013 I have not taken it in for a tune up. I thought I was going to be charged an arm and leg for the work. I was wrong I was charged a reasonable price and my vehicle is running great!! This is a amazing shop I mean they customer care is awesome they really do take care of you !!! Had a great experience with this shop. I knew beforehand what was wrong with the car and they correctly diagnosed the issues and charged a fair price. Would love to keep doing business
