Went in and found exactly what I needed. The great things about stores like Autozone versus big box home improvement stores is that if you are looking for a handtool, it's right there in tools. I checked online, it was in stock, there was not a long wait. I was in and out in under 5 minutes. The tools were a little more expensive than I would've liked, but hopefully it's a Buy Once Cry Once situation.

My son bought rotors, calipers, hoses, and pads in November. He supplied the store with the VIN to be sure he received the correct parts. After swapping out the parts and bleeding the fluid he wrapped up and tested. All seemed fine in the neighborhood. The next day, the brakes tightened down and was causing high heat and smoking. He took the truck to a local garage that confirmed the work he performed was done correctly. They also confirmed there was no trash in the brake fluid and that the calipers, the brand new out of the box from Auto Zone, had locked up. The garage brought the defective calipers to the Chester Auto Zone and obtained new ones from that branch. The new calipers also locked up. So the mechanic obtained replacement parts from NAPA and they worked and have worked flawlessly since. I wrote a letter and hand delivered it to the store to inform them of the costs of the repairs and the day of pay my son list due to the defective parts that was sold to him. The damages to that point was $1800.00. We later found new damage the mag wheel on the passenger side and the bearings on both sides burned up within a week afterwards. After not getting proper communication from the management, I stopped by over a month later to see what was going on. Since that visit, no one has reached back out to explain ANYTHING! This was extremely disappointing. In total my son's losses near $3000.00 in repairs and lost time from work. My son has purchased parts from here exclusively. He is a bit passive about it but will be shopping elsewhere unless AutoZone makes him whole or does something to make it right. I would expect management, especially at the district and corporate levels to be better at communicating to explain what their position or plan is. I am willing to update this post if things are dealt with appropriately. At minimum PLEASE COMMUNICATE! If this happened to their children I am sure this would already be settled. #disappointed dad sad to see a hard working son being wronged...It's been about a week since the last review. No communication has come from AutoZone yet. More disappointing...1/13/2024...Still no communication from AutoZone. Discouragingly disappointed...1/21/2024.Still no response. 2/4/2024.

The staff is always courteous and helpful whenever I have to get a part for any of my vehicles and they almost all the time have the part in stock.

Can't say enough good things about Jalen. My tools are in storage right now from move, and he was able to help me change my wife's battery that I just jumped to get the car to autozone. Awesome customer service.

So where to start with this transaction First I was coming in to have my battery exchanged under a warranty. The young man helping seemed new and a bit unprofessional but I m going to charge it to his age (maybe 16-18). He told me I should ve had boss man come up here referring to my husband because i called my husband twice to confirm information. He had to call the manager who seemed less than happy to help me (or maybe it was the young man she was less than happy to help). She never once addressed me apologized for making me wait for her when the young guy was the one that should have been able to help me but as he said boss lady gotta help you wit dis . So that was inside and then we get to my battery being installed by another man who was eager to help but unfortunately made a mess of a simple battery switch. Granted my car battery is locked in like Fort Knox but why put the bolts and screws on the side of the car? Yup, you guessed it. Those went flying everywhere under the hood. Out of 5 he retrieved 3. Thirty minutes later The manager comes out after this poor guy has tried all the bolts he could find, she had the correct two bolts my face. No here you go! I found something sorry for your wait ma am . She just put them on to test them and walked away. The guy finished screwing them on and was finally done. Not to mention my air pressure in my hood is gone so I had to hold my hood this entire time so the poor guy wouldn t get whacked in the head. Just a terrible experience as a whole. The young man was nice who installed the battery just a bit clumsy with the tools but nice and apologized. I know these things happen but it s how you make a customer feel when it does that matters. Let s do better AutoZone Boulevard Colonial Heights!

My car was having battery issues so I took it out there. They tested the battery and said that it was bad. They offered a lot of options for replacement and even change the battery for me had me in and out in about 20 minutes very excellent service and very respectable store manager.

Anthony Haines the manager in training was wonderful and very helpful. He was patient with me and help me with all my needs for my truck. Also, Keith in commercial helped me with finding the right parts I needed he took time to explain each part too me. Great customer service!!

The sales reps at this location were very helpful courteous and attentive. Walked in with questions and walked out with the products i was looking for. I replaced all the bulbs on the front end of my Silverado 1500 and the transactions couldn't have gone smoother.

I came to Autozone to replace my rear blinker bulb and was greeted with extraordinary service. Particularly, Anthony and Steve went above and beyond in making sure my bulbs were working prior to leaving the store, and treated their customers with kindness and attention. I cannot thank these two enough for the positive experience I've had at Autozone!

Get what u need and take parts to the mechanic.. That way, you are just paying for Labor!!!! Then they may say we'll there is no warranty on the part.... You tell them so what I don't need a warranty because with auto zone you get a warranty on most parts so all you have to do is bring the part back to them and they will replace it for FREE

Customer service is A+++++. Had to make a product return (which was purchased in NC location and returned to va location) manager made the process simple quick and painless. Lots of employees standing inside and out hollering a joking ignoring the line of customers waiting to be helped by the 1 guy who was working. After waiting for 10 mins, I got to the counter. They're inventory said they had 2 of the batteries I needed, but they couldn't find them. I then had to drive an extra 45 mins to go to another store to get the battery.

Fast and Friendly. Went in to get two rear brake calipers for two diffrent Honda Civic. One was a 2009 hybrid. That one rear passenger side. The other Civic was a 2012 it need the Drivers side rear. I was in and out quick. The one thing that i did not like was when i called the store when i was on my way to the store. An asked if the parts i needed could be pulled for me. I was told they couldnt pull them until I got there. I remember when they would pull them for you.

A superhero saved me! Big statement but every word is true. If you don't like long reviews then skip to the end because this will take a minute. My wife and I were traveling to DC from Hendersonville, NC via I95 and stopped for gas in Richmond, VA. After fueling up at around 8:15PM our car wouldn't crank. A kind young man tried to jump it but to no avail. My wife called AAA and they said they'd have a battery to us in under an hour. An hour later AAA called back to tell us they had made a mistake and no they don't replace batteries they only jump them off. They scheduled a tow truck to get us and take us to the nearest auto parts store and of course the store that was three minutes away had already closed at 9PM. It was now 9:15PM. So while we waited for the tow truck that AAA said would be there in ten minutes, I called AutoZone eleven miles away to let them know we'd be coming. The senior employee working said they'd be open until 10PM. Fine by me, we were 5 minutes away. THIRTY MINUTES LATER the tow guy calls and says he's on his way. Like, WHAT?! We franticly call the guy at AutoZone. He graciously and mercifully in superhero fashion said he'd keep the store open until we get there. OMG. We get towed to the store and dropped in a dark, deserted parking lot lit solely by the inviting glow of florescent lights inside AutoZone. I have never been more scared to push on a door than that moment. Was I a minute too late? Will the door be locked forcing me to cancel the room I had booked in DC and be towed to a nearby hotel? Sounding like a sigh of relief the glass door swung open and two young men welcomed me in. It was a few minutes after 10PM. The senior employee sold me the battery we needed and asked if I had tools to install it. Ugh, we did not. "No problem," he said. "Let me shut the store down and I'll get my personal tools from my car and replace it for you." How could we be anything other than grateful. Grateful for him. Grateful AutoZone employed him. Grateful the car cranked after the battery was installed. I asked his name and offered him what little cash I had. He refused it. A classic superhero move. That night was so exhausting for us I am sad to say we could not recall his name but I'm close to finding it out. I checked my phone records and have narrowed it down to the correct store location. When I get his name I'll let you know but more importantly I'll let AutoZone know they have a superhero working for them... but my guess is they already know.

Made a late night stop here coming from put of town during an ice storm. The staff was so helpful got me exactly what I needed in under 5 minutes even came out to my car to help and provided auto mechanic advice to ensure I didnt wind up stuck on the side of the road.

They usually have what I need. Truth be told for large purchases I use Advance Auto. I get good online purchase discounts. If I need a single quart of oil I'm going to Wal-Mart. 5 bucks beats 10 bucks all day.
