Had AA check out what we thought was transmission slippage and low fluid. Told us that fluid didn't need replaced and wouldn't charge us for the diagnosis. Thanks Kevin. You have restored my faith in people.

Had a transmission put in the end of Sept. 2019, back within a month and a half with gears not engaging. Though Kevin said nothing wrong transmission fluid full and color good. Pandemic started , didn't drive at all. Pandemic lifted slowly and slowly ventured out with declining fuel economy and RPM's off the chart. My own mechanic said it sounds like transmission. So called Kevin second time (still under warranty)I was told to bring in. Kevin said I see you have O2 censors showed on code. Though I just replaced them. Still yet he calls and says nothing wrong transmission fluid full and color is good. Within this time I had to have it towed. Due to some kind of heater pipe/hose replaced at The Mechanic 382.00. Still having major RPM issues gas smell and terrible gas mileage. Then the inevitable happened. 3rd gear code showed. I called Kevin again he states that warranty is almost up. Bring it in. So I did. He cleared the check engine light and called and said he could not find anything wrong . He said and I quote " transmission fluid full amd color is good. Now the warranty is now up. Ive had that 3rd gear code for over a year. I have not been able to drive it. Due to not wanting to be stuck somewhere and have to have it towed. On Sept 19, 2023 I called Kevin and expressed my feelings on this situation pertaining to the fact that this transmission only has 23,077 miles on it. He said bring it in. So I did..Long story short I took it to the original company and they found that the radiator had been bypassed and recommended new transmission and hook the radiator back up correctly.So now what!!! He said I am not going to buy a transmission to put in your vehicle. He said call the ones that paid for it for you. "THE KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS". $3984.47 is what they paid, so I ran this by The Knights and was advised to do a Warrant in Debt. Ive had problems for four years. Severely bad fuel economy. Missed appts, Ubers, the use of other persons vehicle not for free either. Doctor appts in Rke 2 times a month. Granddaughter missed homecoming due to no ride etc.This is a TRANSMISSION PLACE how could this individual not know that the radiator was bypassed. 4 1/2 years ago AA Transmission replaced my radiator $300 plus due to the transmission fluid being in the radiator.BIG DAH HUH!!!!

My truck got towed here after it broke down on the highway. The staff was really quick to diagnose the issue and didn't charge for the diagnosis. When they say free estimates and test drives, they mean it. They also worked with me until I could get my truck towed home to NJ. Highly recommend!! My check engine light turned on the day before I was supposed to travel home for the holidays. I called AA Auto Transmissions and the staff was so kind. Knowing I was leaving to go home the next day, they offered to take a look at my car right away. They diagnosed the issue, explained what was wrong, and they didn't charge.

Extremely honest, upstanding folks. A few months back, I was having a mystery issue with my car - took it to several mechanics who were all happy to hold onto my car for several days, take my money, and suggest "well, it *might* be..." but provide no real solutions. One mechanic suggested I take my car in to AA because they believed it was the transmission. Kevin was very friendly and helpful over the phone and was able to see my car without booking an appointment weeks in advance, and got my car back to me the same day I dropped it off. He admitted that he wasn't sure what was going on with it (turns out it wasn't the transmission after all), and when the potential fix he tried didn't work, he refunded me back what I had paid - and offered to do so without my asking.

Kevin, who I believe is the owner, took care of my car start to finish. I needed a transmission replaced, and he quoted a price and a date that he stuck to 100%. Highly recommend!! 2003 Taurus transmission quit on rt 81, 400 miles from home on our way to take daughter back to college. Tow truck driver recommended this place as we were getting towed to another place closer - and boy am I glad we called on Monday to have Kevin tow the car to his shop. He told us immediately what it could be based upon his experience, and once he had a chance to see the car and diagnose, he told us it was the torque converter, not the entire transmission. Could have easily charged us for a new transmission - we wouldn't have known the difference, so we really appreciated his honesty. They have obviously done a lot of work with transmissions and know what they are doing. Kevin was extremely knowledgable and honest and we were amazed how quickly the car was repaired! If he was closer, we would use them again and again, - but I feel safe knowing we have a shop we can count on if we have ever a problem again on our way down rt 81. Highly Recommended! Kevin took great care of me when my jeep's transmission had a leak and slippage. Honest people and quality work. He fixed my jeep for exactly the amount of his estimate, and exactly when he said that it would be repaired. Was able to make my road trip to MA a week later with no issues and it is still running great months later. Best place in the NRV for transmission work

In a world where dealerships are charging over $100 just to open your hood and diagnose, these folks had my fluid leak taken care of and out the door for less than $100. Was without my Town Car for only one day, too. Not all problems are this simple, but if yours happens to be you can count on this shop not trying to inflate the job!

They are scam artist ,they put in the first transmission and it stopped shifting ,took it back ,they put another transmission in and it stopped shifting, took it back to them, well Kevin said my motor was the cause of the transmission going out, so I took the truck to Harvey Chevrolet and had them check the engine, of course that wasn't the problem with the transmission going out,AA TRANSMISSION do not stand behind there work or transmissions etc. And if they were professional they would make things right and stop selling junk transmissions.

I had a transmission problem. I took my truck to a dealership. They wanted to charge me $1,100. This dealership had already had my truck once and supposedly fixed it. Someone told me about AA so I had it towed to them. They said the only problem was a leak because the dealership hadn't tightened something back up. They fixed it for $150. Very honest people at AA. Highly recommended.

Absolutely HONEST!My truck was struggling to get up the hills. Took it to have it fixed. These Fellas didn't take a penny- even refused a tip!Nothing was wrong with My Transmission!It was the calipers.Thank You Kevin & Team!I appreciate Your help more than You would ever know!

I couldn't be happier with my experience here. I took my vehicle there because we thought the transmission was slipping. Kevin spent a lot of time diagnosing and trying to get it to recreate the issue, and then when it did, he called and we talked in depth about it. He determined it was an engine misfire and didn't charge a dime. This is the kind of business I will definitely support, and recommend to others. This is what gets you repeat customers.

I've gone to them multiple times and have been very happy with their work every time. Additionally, they are super honest and will not fix something unnecessarily. If they don't think they are the best for the job, they will recommend an alternate place for you to go to. All-in-all, they are a great shop!

Highly Recommended. Kevin took great care of me when my transmission died on Rt 81...300 miles from home. Kevin towed the car while I continued on my trip. He fixed the car for exactly the amount of his estimate, and exactly when he said that it would be repaired. I traveled down to Christiansburg by bus, and Kevin even picked me up at the bus station. If I lived closer, he would be my regular repair shop. And despite the name, he repairs more than transmissions.

Spent $3,000 on a transmission, took forever, and then had to get someone else to replace the clutch and flywheel. At all cost stay away from these people. As far as I am concerned they are thieves!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Very, very pleased with the dedication to excellent service. I was heading to Phoenix, Arizona from Lynchburg, Virginia when the transmission blew just outside Christiansburg on a Sunday. My car was towed to this shop Monday morning and Kevin said they could have a transmission in one or two days. The transmission arrived Wednesday morning and was installed by that afternoon. Incredible!! Kevin said he would do it the same day, but I didn t believe it would happen. I m a believer! Great shop.

I took my 2008 Volkswagen Jetta to AA Automatic Transmissions when it started slipping in 4th gear, after being recommended by a coworker. My experience with this shop was above and beyond what i expected. I had a bad experience in the past with another transmission shop and have been weary ever since. Gomer and Kevin were very professional, addressed all my concerns and questions, and made me feel at ease. My car was in and out quickly and the price was exceptional. My car is doing great and will definitely recommend to others. Thank you so much.

We took our jeep here for transmission work. We were expecting to replace the transmission but received a call from them and it was only a sensor. The cost of $40!!! Very honest and professional ! Thank you and highly recommended!!Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

Needed a transmission fluid change a few days before leaving on a fairly long road trip in August. Dealership said it was going to be at least 2 weeks before they could get the car in and were giving me the general runaround about what they thought the issue was. Brought the car to A A and they immediately knew what the problem was and had it done within 2 days. Professional people who know what they're doing. 0 issues with daily driving the car since August. Would give 6 stars if I could

My car broke down on highway 81 . I struggled to find a shop that would answer the phone before 9am. There were several recordings prompting me to leave a message, which does me no good when the tow truck is on its way and I need to tell driver where to tow my disabled vehicle. The shops that answered the phone either didn't work on my make/model or they couldn't even look at it for DAYS.I was lucky to find AA Automatic Transmission. I called and described my issue -- transmission fluid spewing out as I drove up a steep hill, I feared the worst!The staff was courteous, knowledgeable & honest. They diagnosed my issue , explained it to me and showed me the parts that had failed. They obtained a used part and repaired my vehicle quickly. An unscrupulous shop could have easily manipulated the situation into a major repair bill - up to full replacement of the transmission. I am happy to be back on the road with confidence - thanks to AA Automatic Transmission.

By reputation only. wanted to talk to them about a transmission for my car....used cars are way over priced. my car has been sitting for a while and I needed an honest opinion could it be refurbushed.

Would not recommend this place to NO ONE!! Rip off!! All about the $.. Over priced....rude...they need to realize that the customers keep them in business. If they continue to treat customers with no respect..and over charge for services that other places do for half the cost..they will loose business...word of mouth can make or break a business!
