This day and age it can get tough to find a shop that will not mess you around. This is one such shop. I called to schedule a State inspection. This was an easy process to accomplish.Come the date of the inspection intake was quick and easy. The whole process took somewhere under an hour in the morning.While I waited in between customers I had an awesome chat with the woman who had helped me before. Failed State Inspection due to front tires, left front tie rod, and rear engine mount. Verified independently by reputable repair shops that didn t need tie rod or rear engine mount. When returned to complain about misdiagnosis and $70+ plus mileage I was out they took car into their shop and tried to convince me that it also needed front and right side engine mount. What a scam.

Smitty was awesome! Was working in the area when I got a flat tire on my work truck. I put the spare on but that was flat too. Smitty put a new valve stem in the original wheel on put it back on and didn't charge me a dime. I didn't even ask him to, he just did it trying to be a good person.Service: TiresService: Tires

I took my 1997 Ford Aerostar here for an inspection and it had been sitting for 4 years. They said I needed to get my steering rack and outer tire rods replaced in order to pass. Work was quick they had everything done in under a day. The thing I wasn't super pleased with was they installed two different outer tire rods. I'm sure its mechanically okay but looks like trash. The guy from the shop actually took my van back in and lifted it up so I could see that they were in fact both new and working properly. I was impressed with the customer service but was not happy with the inconsistent work. Will not be returning.UPDATE: 3 star to 5 starShop called me and asked if I would bring my van in to get the part replaced with the correct one. I did and he immediately fixed the problem. That went a long way for me and I respect the shop taking the time to reach out to me and correct the problem. Very satisfied.

Took my car here for a simple inspection and an ac recharge. I had an appointment, it's not like I just walked in. But they said it would be best if I could drop the car off, so I dropped it off at about 10am. 430 pm I'd heard nothing and they close at 530, so I called to check in and was told my car was next up. 545 I showed up, knowing they were closing, they refused to give me a time estimate and told me that they recharged my ac but it didn't work so they were starting to take my ac apart to diagnose without calling to check or giving me any kind of quote on that service, and hadn't even started inspecting it. Then brought my keys back and told me to bring it back in the morning and they would look at it, after having my car for over 8 hours. They were charging me over 200 dollars in labor to NOT fix my AC or inspect my car. Not wanting to cause a scene, I handed my card and said just run my card so I can leave and then asked me to come back in the morning, to which I said, "I'm not ever coming back, your charging me over 200 to fix nothing and keep my car for 8 hours." This man at the desk THREW MY CARD BACK AT ME and said good, don't come back! He did not end up charging me for the work they did not do. But this was hands down the worst customer service and automotive repair service I have ever received. Once again a positive experience with Polo's. Rotors and brakes expertly replaced for less than half of dealer estimate. Staff are always helpful, friendly, and professional. I was a little disappointed that the car was not ready the same day, however the slight delay was fully explained by the mechanic that did the work. So, no real issue. Polo's has become my go-to shop for my car repair needs.

I was visiting from out of town and my idler pulley went out. I brought in my vehicle and the part that needed replaced to this mechanic first thing next business day. I was able to get my vehicle fixed and back on the road that same day. Least to say I had a three hour track back home and I had no issues with my vehicle at any point during my travel. And the price was reasonable.

Very good people to take ur car or truck too. I have taken both my vehicles and they called me if something extra was wrong they did not fix it till they got my approval. Great communication they get five stars from me.

Everyone here is great! Amazing service and they get things done in a timely manner, even when they find issues that were unexpected. They had my parts ordered within a day, and my car was ready the same evening. 10/10 recommend them

This was my first visit to Polos, they've been around for as long as I can remember and I've always heard great things about them. Went here for inspection, started off failing for spacers. So thats pretty dirty and all but if that was it I honestly woulda just moved on. What got me was it also failed for a lower control arm. So I ordered control arms and ball joints online before looking at it myself, very expensive mistake on my part cause as soon as I got behind the tire there it was, an obvious loose bolt. It's not like they're hurting for business, they could have easily tightened it up as a good gesture, would have taken 10 seconds. I'm not making accusations but it's also a little suspect that it came loose to begin with considering how little I'd been driving it, though, of course, completely possible. I tightened it up and made sure to have the arm looked at when I took it to another shop for alignment. They confirmed it looked fine.While the guy behind the counter did a great job of taking time to talk to me about things, I should have known to ask better questions. Either way I still felt mislead like it was not explained specifically enough. Judging by what was written on the paperwork, it sounded much worse than a loose bolt. It cost me a lot in part and another $20 for reinspection somewhere else.Do not recommend.

On 8/2/22 I made an appointment for 8/9/22 for an alignment and inspection for my 2018 Silverado. I dropped my truck off at 7:50 am and filled out paperwork. At 4:45pm truck was still sitting where I left it. I was casually told they probably didn t get to it today and could I leave it overnight. I was told they could do the inspection by close of business. I truly felt that this was a ploy to get my truck in the shop and then say it had to stay. I asked for my keys and left. I can t believe Discount Tire recommended them.Mark Rich

Just wanted to give a shout out to the staff and mechanics at Polo's Automotive. The guys really got me out of a jam when i needed them. My brakes got out of wack and when it was done drives and brakes better than when i drove off the lot. Customer Service and Mechanics A++++. Polo Automotive, what great service. I had a 9am inspection appointment and all went well, they are super punctual, and I was done by 930am. I highly recommend them. Customer service is AWESOME. Had a 9:30 am appointment. Smitty took info. Tire sensor was bad. Doug, tech programmed and installed a new sensor. Out the door in 1.25 hours. Excellent attention and service.

Came here to get a vehicle I was thinking of buying off of my neighbor, looked at. The whole staff was great. They were honest and thorough and put me at ease, knowing I was purchasing a solid and safe vehicle. I had a bunch of questions and they took their time answering everything. They didn't rush me out to get onto the next. I feel the charge for that job was fair and well spent. Only thing I didn't care for was the wonky parking lol but you pretty much find that at EVERY garage you go to! All in all, they are great and I would feel comfortable recommending them to others or using them myself in the future.

I've been looking for a local place to have our vehicles serviced and or repaired. I've been there multiple times during the last 2 years, not 1 complaint. Polo stands behind the work performed and I will continue to use them. I go here for my motorcycle inspections. The place is always busy with mechanics working on cars, trucks and fleet vehicles.Each time I call head to for an appointment for my inspection and Smitty says, "just stop on in, we will get you taken care of. No appointment needed". The service is to the point, done correctly and I have never had any problems. It is not like going to the dealer and want to sell you something or suggest you do get this or that done. Just good people doing their job.

I was in Richmond, VA for company training when I noticed the low tire pressure sensor in my car came on. With having to travel over 250 miles on the upcoming Friday, I wanted to see if I needed a tire plug before I ended up on the side of the road with a flat on 95. I contacted shop and was told I could bring my car in during my lunch to have it looked at. After about 20 minutes, they let me know that the tire was just low in pressure and possibly could have a sensor issue and if I have an issue the day before I leave Richmond, to give them a call and they will figure something out. I was extremely grateful for them offering to assist me the following day and also not charging me for the service of checking my tire. Hands down a phenomenal experience and anytime I am back in the area they are the only place I will call for my automotive needs. Thanks again.

These guys are FANTASTIC!!! My alternator died on the way to a vacation on 95S about a mile from the exit at 5:30 on a Thursday afternoon. I managed to get it to them, not knowing anything about them or if they could do it. Even though they were closed for the day, they looked at it and agreed to do it the first thing in the morning-and they did!! I was so grateful and relieved (and surprised-it's hard to find service like that these days!) Everyone I spoke with was patient, understanding, and kind, which is a treasure in a tense and unexpected situation. Makes me wish I lived closer to Richmond!Service: Battery

Was having a problem with some loose lug nuts this morning, called up Polo's and asked if there was any way they could help me tighten them up a bit. Spoke to Smitty and he told to me come on. Promptly took the car back and tightened them right up. Excellent customer service and always great to support a local business!!

I'm very picky when it comes to taking a vehicle in for repairs. I tend to replace any old part that has to be taken off to get to what needs to be repaired. This place took care of everything I needed and even went the extra mile to save me money. Not to many automotive shops try to save the customer money! As long as they stay honest and have great service they will continue to earn my business!
