I would recommend this place to anyone with transmission troubles. Mike took great care of me and even saved me a lot of money. I came in for a transmission flush and Mike recommended we do a diagnostic first. I agreed and it ended up that I did not need a flush at all since the diagnostic came back with no troubles noted. Ended up saving me about $150.

I normally don't leave negative reviews but since I have no other way of reaching this business this might be the only way to go. My husband and apparently other people are standing outside trying to figure out how to get their cars back. According to the workers that were still there they "decided to close early today, they sometimes do that". Which is baffing to me because they must have been super busy today because when I tried to call multiple times today they either asked me to call back or didn't answer. I understand there are personal emergencies but you need to have a back up plan. Calling me at 345p to tell me to get the car by 4pm is crazy. I hope they have a good weekend and I guess they will call me on Monday if they want payment for the alleged work they did which I now have serious doubt about. Anyone have a recommendation for where I can get a 2nd opinion?

Just had my transmission rebuilt here very high quality workmanship and amazing customer service. There transmission guy that rebuilds is very knowledgeable and very helpful. We broke down while moving our son to VA from NJ. All of a sudden, when starting on our way back to NJ, our car stopped moving. It seemed like the transmission broke without warning.We towed the car to this facility after hours and used the key drop that was offered.In the morning I called to explain what happened. They told me they d check it out and call me as soon as they know what s wrong. About an hour later they called and told us the rear drive axle broke and slipped out of the drive. They gave us a price and said it could be done in a couple hours.They had the perfect opportunity to take advantage but didn t. They could have told us it was the trans and charged us thousands but they were honest and it cost about $700.This AAMCO is fair, quick and honest.I highly recommend them for that time you need their services.Thank you AAMCO of Winchester VA. They told me my transmission needed to be replaced. When I got a second opinion, it turned out that the car needed a tune-up.90 minutes and almost $100 I will never get back.

Trevor and Ricky serviced my car on my last visit to AAMCO in Winchester. I needed an oil change and a state inspection in the same visit, and they were able to take care of both of those things for me in a timely manner. These guys really know how to work together and take care of customers needs. I have referred several coworkers and friends to have their cars taken care of here, and I have been thanked plenty never had any difficulties with pricing or services here.Service: Oil change

I could not have had a better experience than the service I got at Winchester AAMCO. Ricky, Jim, and Trevor all took a look at my vehicle and worked to address my concerns. They did not stop until the problem was solved! They took my concerns seriously, test drove the car several times, and made sure everything ran smoothly before letting me know my car was ready to be picked up. I've only visited AAMCO Winchester twice so far, but I will continue to come back. They have excellent customer service and the staff is always friendly. I scheduled an oil change the day of, and they called me within an hour of scheduling the appointment. They are fast and still thorough. Highly recommend using them for your car maintenance needs!Service: Oil change

After replacing some transmission lines, the technician refilled too much transmission fluid and it was overflowing through the vent for a week and burning up on the catalytic converter. Sloppy work.

These folks are serious scammers!!!! They supposedly diagnosed my HHR transmission and charged me $84.00 ( my trans was shifting hard now and then ), their diagnosis was that I needed a new transmission for 4K+, or a re-manufactured one for less, I took it to another local transmission place and after a fluid change and new filter ( as requested initially ) as well as a sift point reset my HHR is running/shifting perfectly, Again I would not recommend bringing any work to these folks.........Service: Transmission

I called in and Mike answered the phone. Felt right away I had a professional on the other end. That was a great feeling. See, I have a Black Ford Sport Track that was the last new Vehicle I bought from my Father who was a Ford Dealership GM, before he passed a few years ago. I love this truck and at a out 180,000, put a new drive shaft and transmission in it. Unfortunately the previous mechanics and transmission guys I took it to, could not resolve a serious issue, and I had started to worry. Mike got me in right away, and within a couple hours his team had diagnosed and corrected the issue Completely. That was three days ago, Shadow is running Better than New. I had a really good experience with AAMCO Transmissions. Very friendly service and also very knowledgeable. Jason is a fantastic manager who goes out of his way to make sure you get what you need, done right! I had the transmission replaced on my 2006 Ford Crown Vic, and the car now drives perfectly with no issues. The 3 year, unlimited mileage warranty is also a huge perk, as they will stand behind the product and work.I want to say thanks to Jason and his team for getting me back on the road in a very professional and enjoyable way!

I dropped my Dodge Grand Caravan off at AAMCO of Winchester, VA today very close to closing time (4:50pm) Jason assisted me and my wife with filling out the card and he assured us he would call us and notify us every step of the way, he was extremely kind and well mannered, his customer service skills were top notch. Jason even stayed after closing time to finish talking to us, I look forward to hearing from him when the service team get time to check out our vehicle. I did not get a chance to talk to any of the technicians but from reading the reviews posted on here I don't think I have anything to worry about. I will update this review when I pick my van up in hopefully a few days with the rest of the experience.

my experience with this business truly could not have been better.from my first phone call to in-person experience with each employee I had contact with. Professionalism, customer service, communication and of course, repairing my vehicle.. it was all simply stellar.I took a chance by contacting a business I had no prior experience with and knew no one personally who had either, and I was extremely impressed!Thank you guys! you will 100% have my business in the future!

Wonderful, Honest, Employees. I had an appointment to diagnose my transmission issues. After asking the model of my car they let me know they could diagnose it but couldn't fix it. They in turn made me aware there was a recall on the transmission of my 2014 Ford Focus. After checking into it,turns out they were correct. Folks- the recall was for 7 years or 100,000 miles from the date of original 1st owner purchase.I purchased it used May, 2021. The recall ends March 2022 on my car. I was only 11 days away from having a HUGH expense. Thank you AAMCO! You could have said nothing. I would have never known until it was to late. If you have a ford that is automatic & manual with transmission issues you have 7 years or 100,000 miles from the first purchase date to get it fixed FREE!Service: Transmission

...I brought my SUV in a day early- I had an appointment the very next day, hoping they could at least diagnos my vehicle- they refused to accept the diagnostic sides that I already recieved on the vehicle. I had to pay $90 to hear something I already knew. They were unable to diagnose my car early! I feel it was mediocre service at best overall.

Jason and his crew did an amazing job on my vehicle in a efficient and timely manner! My car was unbearable to drive so I took it in expecting it would take a few days if not weeks to get an appointment.They fit me in SAME day when they were already busy and found a crack in my Y-pipe and fixed it within 2 hours and I was back on the road!! Highly recommended

Best costumer experience ever! I had to get my AC system recharged. They did that no problem, but found out I needed a new fan for it to work properly. They were able to price match a fan they had found in stock to one I had found online and had it delivered within 15 minutes! Then they also were able to get me in early morning before I had to leave on a trip to do a re-check after I installed my fan. Only after they insured that my system was working properly did they charge me, and on top of that, the bill was significantly less than what I was quoted over the phone. I want to thank the Manager Jason and his whole team for having superior customer service!

Last year my transmission went in my car right before Christmas. Jason and his mechanic team treated me with respect, kindness and did everything they could to get me back in my vehicle asap. They were in touch with me and helped ease the process. Because of their outstanding service and family like attitude they have a customer for life! I go to them for everything!! 100% recommended!!

Very kind and professional. I brought two vehicles on the same day and Michael and his crew were kind enough wait for me to jump the second vehicle and come back with that, after going home with the first. I have a 2005 Ford Explorer with about 153,000 miles. Around 150,000 miles my original transmission went bad. Had it replaced at a certain shop with a Jasper's remanufactured. It lasted about 2000 miles. Ended up taking it to AAMCO on S. Loudoun St. in Winchester. Jason and all of the crew were superb. They helped tremendously with the parts and labor warranty, and did a very detailed inspection of not only the items pertaining to the operation of the transmission, but of the vehicle itself.I've driven about 800 miles since picking it up. At this point with the first replacement, I had noticed several issues. This time I haven't had a single issue.Jason, if you read this, thank you to you and your crew. Job well done. I highly recommend your shop to anyone needed quality work.

The service and repairs that were needed were diagnosed quickly, and completed in exceptional time. Michael was really helpful with the appointment booking, and constant updates. The prices were fair and I will be bringing my vehicles here for any service needed based on this visit. Highly recommend. I got ahold of Jason and told him the issue I was having with my car he got me in and out within a couple days! He didn t jump to replacing parts until his team knew what was wrong. I would say the most trustworthy and pleasant experience I have ever had with a car shop. 10/10 recommend going they will take care of you.

This was my first time using this company. I was very well impressed. All the staff I met were very courteous and friendly, and things were done very efficiently. I called first to see if there were any openings for inspections and the other person on the line was very friendly and courteous! He said if I went in within the next 15-20 minutes I would be taken care of and he lived up to his word - my inspection was completed very quickly which is a HUGE win for me! Everyone in the establishment was very friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend this place in the future and will coming back for any future auto needs!
