Went two weeks ago and was very pleased to find a reliable auto shop. Tune Up Plus took me in the same day for a state inspection that I wanted looked over from a failure at another business. The mechanics working there are honest and knowledgeable. I will be using this location for future services.

I ll be going here from here on out! First of all, Lisa is amazing. She knows what she s talking about, explains everything, and is overall a wonderful human to talk to. Just came in for a vehicle inspection without an appointment and even with some things that needed fixing, I got my truck back later the same day. Definitely an awesome crew working there. Highly recommend!

Excellent all around. Things I didn't know beforehand: they do an 85 point inspection for every car at every service; they are a small local company; they have very convenient locations, and it's possible you could get your repairs financed if you don't have another option. I like those things. I have zero time to take my car into the shop as I work 3 jobs right now. It's also my only car. I called a couple hours before closing and asked if there's any way possible to get an oil change today. She asked the mechanics and they said yes! Now it's not the busiest time of the month for shops and I know that's not typical, but I was so glad I didn't have to wait another day. I know I need other things done for a state inspection and because they already do the 85 point inspection, I didn't have to pay an EXTRA diagnostic fee to get most of the info I needed to plan ahead for that. I do take care of my car for the most part. Things are expensive these days. Their prices are better or comparable to other places. Plus they were nice. I spoke with the lady working her booty off at the desk and one of the mechanics, and observed interactions between others. They weren't b-holes assuming I didn't know anything about cars like almost ALL the other places I've been. Can you imagine being treated with respect at a car shop? I mean... wow. I don't know if they are able to price match, but before I get work done anywhere else I'll make sure to ask!

Lisa was very knowledgeable and helpful. I was able to get my safety inspection done without too much of a wait. I saw that they offer lots of other services at fair prices. Being new to the area I am glad I found Tune Up Plus.

I had to replace the catalytic converter with the manifold and my O2 sensors. I contacted Lisa at Tune up plus who provided me with the options to help me be able to afford getting this repair done and doing allshe good to make it as inexpensive with parts and labor as possible. I really appreciated her friendly demeanor and knowledgeable expertise in this situation.

Small but mighty! One or two extremely efficient and knowledgeable mechanics. Surprising that a shop with two bays knocked out five issues for me in ~6 hours (including turning off the daggine CHECK ENGINE light without me asking, which my last three mechanics neglected to do). And I wasn't even the first guy in line. Good job, Lisa, Elmer and Chris!

LADIES BEWARE! Took my car here for a state inspection and they failed it saying the brakes were worn down and the shock/suspension was blown. This was news to me considering I had just gotten my oil changed a month prior and the dealership said nothing about either. Picked my car up and took it to the dealer to have them check out the shock/suspension as I have a warranty and maintenance plan. Dealership came back saying the brakes were still measuring just fine at 6 and 7 mm, not the 2.5 this shop said. They did say the suspension/shock was leaking a bit, but not completely blown like Tune Up Plus noted on my rejected inspection. Seems like they have no problem taking advantage of women in hopes they will have no idea about their vehicle and will just shell out money.

We are new to the Chesapeake area. I dropped my wife's Nissan Maxima off for a state inspection and within minutes of getting home in my Uber, the friendly and courteous woman at the front desk called to let me know my inspection was complete. She also informed me of the maintenance issues the mechanic found that were needed, how much everything would cost, and about how long things would take. Besides the inspection, I got an oil change and a brake fluid flush. I also went home with a detailed list of issues that will soon require attention. I was not pressured to get every issue handled that day, and the order of importance of the issues was well explained to me in a friendly way. I'll be back next month for the inspection on my own car. As a technician and a business owner myself, I appreciate good customer service, great communication, and technical expertise. All of these were displayed yesterday on my visit to this shop. Thanks and Cheers, Mike Felician

I went in to get my car inspected and they took me even though it was late in the day. Turned out I needed brake pads and rotors and they accomplished that for me too. Lisa and the guys are great, very helpful and went out of their way. Thanks so much.

Let me tell you. Lisa and her team were fantastic. I love the professionalism, the energy, and they were quick, thorough and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this Auto Store for oil changes, vehicle inspections, you name it. Having your car fixed is good, but having an awesome team to do it is even better.

I've been coming here for inspections for many years, they always do a great job! This year, I came in on a Friday, but couldn't stay due to a unforseen situation, so they let me come in and stay on Saturday, because I was unable to drop my vehicle off. Lisa at the front desk is awesome and knows cars!

Smooth as silk! Worst time of year is State Inspection Month! Now that it s a Secondary Offense why even bother doing it! Newest car I own is an 09 so when I pull into a shop for State Inspection I can see the mechanics drooling at the chops. I ve gotten Red Rejection stickers for everything under the Sun and always been poked for upselling maintenance I don t need. I do all my own maintenance and repairs it s really frustrating to listen to the Rediculousness from greedy shops and disappointing that so many mechanics thrive off playing shady shenanigans with regular joes that are punching time cards same as them. 100% no nonsense trip today. I got lucky went in early ~ got in got out no wild stories about wet CV boots or shocks that pass but don t look good or made up stories about needing full brake overhaul even though they pass this time. Nothing more annoying than sitting in a shop 4 hours to be told getting a Red Rejection because the wipers blades need replaced for $75.00. If it s that time of year for you try em out and leave a review support shops that don t charge $100 to clean battery terminals .

They were fast efficient and friendly! I got an inspection and an oil change...and they suggested a couple things that I should consider...which I took their advice. The lady at the front desk is a hoot!! Super funny, friendly, and down to earth. The workers here are fantastic. I walked in needing to get my oil changed & state inspection after an issue at another company. Expecting to have to make an appointment, they fit me right in to get my services completed. They do good work and are very kind. I continue to come back to this place because of the phenomenal customer service, outstanding workmanship and friendliness of all the staff. They make you feel like family!!! I can't give them enough stars. They would be rated a 12 out of 10 in my book. They took great care of my 2013 Mustang GT!!!!

This is my one-stop fix for everything but body work. I'm a mechanic myself but I don't have time to work on my own vehicle due to working a different job. The people that work here are really kind and every time I take my monstrosity of a vehicle to their shop they always try to help. The knowledge from the person at the front desk is amazing he can basically almost pinpoint just by you explaining the problem.

Wonderful experience! I was in the area and needed a state inspection and new tires. Travius was so very professional and knowledgeable! I felt like I could trust his recommendations about what my car needed in order to continue operating safely. I plan to keep getting my car service there because of the service and customer care. Priority Hyundai let me down and was not able to perform a diagnostic on my car until June 8th. I found Tune Up on Google. They had a lot of good reviews, were open Sunday and had time to look at my car. I called and explained my car was making unfamiliar noises, they explained their process to me and I took my car to them at 11:00. They kept me updated on what was going on, fixed my car and flushed the brake line before 12:30. I would definitely return and I highly recommend Tune Up.Service: Auto maintenance

On 20 June 2022 I took my car in to figure out what was making the noise and I took the guy at the front desk with me. They took the car into the shop and proceeded to try to figure out the issue, they came back and told me it was the serpentine belt and bearings causing the noise. I opted to pay for the service because I wanted the noise to stop. I waited for over 4 hours for the part and service. It s time for me to leave and the car is still making the noise, I took it back immediately and now the mechanic drives around with me and I m now being told it s the struts, I recently had the struts worked on some where else. They looked at the struts, said they had to tighten one but that didn t fix the noise and the front desk guy proceeded to tell me that maybe the place that did the struts used cheap ones and that s why it s making the noise and that I should go back to that mechanic shop. The front desk guy even said that the mechanic that do the state inspections says it s the rear left struts. I took it back to the mechanic shop that did the struts and it wasn t the struts it was actually the front sway bar that was making the noise. I told the front desk guy then as I am saying here, I felt like I got taken advantage of because the reason I took the car to get fixed wasn t fixed instead a different issue that I wasn t concerned with at the time was fixed and played off to seem like my problem was solved. I will not be returning to this establishment and I suggest you get second opinions and pricing before using them. Trustworthy mechanics are hard to find and this place is not it in my opinion.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Brought a car in for a pre-purchase inspection and they gave me the whole rundown on what needed to be fixed.They were available same day and better priced than others in the area.I ended up negotiating a better price on the car because of the inspection.

Great mechanics. Friendly staff. I've used them for everything, from fixing a flat to rebuilding an engine. They've always been as accommodating as possible with picking up and dropping off vehicles.
