I dropped my 2015 ram 1500 off to Southern Chrysler Dodge around July 5 For an oil change and a recall repair. A day later the service person called and said that the tech was going to have to drill out the oil drain plug. I replied that the plug does not have to be drilled out and should just come out fine because I have taken out before using a wrench with teeth. I even tightened it with same wrench. I even sent a new plug to replace the old one. Although I disagreed with the assessment I actually agreed to pay for the service. I pick my truck up on July 8 pay for the service and now on August 5, My truck is sitting in a Food Lion parking lot with the oil drain plug out and all the oil leaking on the ground. I will never take any vehicle of my vehicles to Southern dodge ever again. this had the potential to cause catastrophic engine failure. If I could give negative stars, I would. This is not the first bad experience just the one that I decided to post.

Bought my car in 2019 with Southern and had a great experience with their service at first. I did some minor repairs and annual service, plus purchased an aftermarket service package for my paint job and interior. The staff has been friendly and helpful to men.Then, last October, I approached them with an issue on my roof molding. The lady was very nice and set up an appointment for early November. When I showed up to that appointment, no one was there and I was told that the entire aftermarkets division was shut down in the meantime, plus, that my issue was not covered anymore. Despite me mentioning that I had gotten an appointment and the promise that someone will tend to my problem, I wasn't offered any real help.After I returned home with disappointment, I was contacted by the sales division multiple times in the coming weeks about offers to buy my used car via phone and email.I can't say anything negative about their technical staff, especially in their garage, but it seems that the new management has clearly shifted its focus from customer service to sales, sales, sales. Not sure if I'll ever return ...

I have not bought a vehicle in over a decade and this team made the experience perfect for me. Starting with Trevor, he walked me through ordering my dream car with updates on the build when it was entering new stages in the process. Every question I had he was quick to reply with exactly what I needed. Basically, from start to finish he walked me through the process and made it a breeze. He did miss one important update I will admit. On the day I was scheduled to come in and do the final paperwork because my vehicle was in transit and to be there that week, I turned the corner and saw that it was there. I smiled and knew it had to be mine with the protective wrapping still inside and out. When I saw him he started laughing and told me he didn't text me today cause he wanted it to be a surprise. It sure was! Awesome job Trevor and I really appreciated what you did for me. Caught me off guard but in a good way! He is the exact opposite of what you think of as a car salesman. Never pushed me in a different direction and worked with me on prices. Awesome!Next I was able to talk to Justin about my vehicle protection. She was extremely informative and knowledgeable with her portion of the process. We went over some options and as the trend continued, all my questions were answered. She listened to me ramble about wanting this car forever and we had a few good laughs.I was able to get a tour of the dealership with Kyle. He walked me through the property showing me different areas that I may need in the future making sure I wasn't gonna get lost.Lastly, I met Levi to discuss different options for financial protection. He went over a some options and scenarios about the importance of coverage. He was professional but like all others mentioned above, easy going and a joy to talk to.I guess I'll go ahead and wrap this up because it's time to go out for a late night drive but I want to leave with this. I am extremely appreciative of everyone that I got to meet and had a blast during the process. If you are interested in a Dodge, these are the ones to meet. You won't be disappointed! Thank you!

Great experience. I was helped as soon as I walked in the door. Trevor was an awesome sales man got me the lowest price they could offer. My finance person was Allie was awesome and very knowledgeable. We even shared sushi.

Fantastic dealership group! Such great team work!! My husband and I had been looking for a new vehicle. We wanted a truck and with gas prices increasing, we weren t sure we would find it. Brought my 2018 Pacifica in for a cylinder misfire issue. Diagnostic $199. Part $142 with 2 hours of labor (took 20 minutes in my driveway). Wanted $586 total to replace a part. Paid the diagnostic fee. Bought the Ignition Coil for $40 at Auto Zone and replaced the bad coil that was identified. NOPE the service tech put the bad coil in cylinder 5 and left it there. So had to swap it back out with the good coil. So they wanted $386 for a part I got for $40 and changed in 20 minutes. Sick of this kind of service. You can be upset the customer wants to save hundreds but put it back the way you got it.

If I could give the Southern Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Service Department negative stars I would. They provided the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered. DO NOT bring your vehicle here!We dropped our 2022 Ram 1500 off at our scheduled appointment for a check engine light that we suspected was a bad fuel injector. It took them 2 days to run diagnostic testing to figure out the issue even though we had waited 5 days to bring the truck in at our appointment time. We called on day 2 to see if they figured out what the problem was. I left a voicemail with our service advisor Emiliee. She did not return our call. I also left two texts over the two days with no response. I continued leaving a voicemail everyday to inquire about the status of the truck and what the timeline was to fix it. Finally on the 7th day I asked the call center to forward me to the regional manager because at that point no one including the service manager had called me back to let me know anything about our truck. I was told I could not speak to the regional manager and that I would have to leave another voicemail with the service manager. Surprisingly enough, I received a call a few hours later saying they figured out it was a bad fuel injector and that they would have it fixed by the next morning. This was the only time I had received a call back or any information on my vehicle since dropping it off. When I went to pick it up the next day, I was lazily pointed to the cashier desk from the service department and handed my keys. I asked where the truck was parked to which the cashier said over by the service department. I walked backed into the service area, my advisor Emiliee was texting at her desk looked at me and said have a nice day. She did not get up to show me where my truck was parked. I then had to walk around aimlessly outside in the dark to the back of the service lot to find my truck.This was the WORST experience I have ever had. Their inability to answer a phone or return a phone call is absolutely unacceptable and the fact I had to walk around to the back of the dealership where they keep vehicles serviced in the dark was absolutely ridiculous. I will never bring a vehicle back to this dealership.

Their service department is outstanding. My previous experience with their sales department has been very positive; however my salesperson left during COVID and they connected me with a salesperson from the old Greenbrier Dodge (they merged with Southern a year or so ago) and he is awful. He gave me inaccurate information and wasn t really interested in helping me with a factory order.

Vehicle service is terrible and no one returns calls. They broke our truck, and it's been a 18-month process trying to get them to fix their error. Then, they held our truck for six whole weeks for service under the vehicle's warranty and have yet to get us paperwork for reimbursement on SIX WEEKS worth of vehicle rental through a third party because they don't have loaner vehicles nor a relationship with a car rental business. Furthermore, I have left 4-5 messages daily over the course of a week and cannot get an answer when I call or a call back from a service advisor. I have never seen such poor service or communication from a dealership.

What is the point of making an appointment in the service department if when I show up it s a 3 hour wait? I called during the week and made an appointment for an oil change for today at 8:20 am and at no point was I told that it was first come first serve. I was told to show up at 820 and would my car would be taken in at 820. I showed up 10 minutes early and was told point blank by a service rep that appointments don t matter here and it s first come first serve and it s going to be a minimum of 3 hours wait time. I literally was shocked. The woman told me to come back later and we may be able to get you in or come back during the week and try again but don t make an appointment because again APPOINTMENTS DON T MATTER. I woke up early to get here today and ended up waiting for 3 hours for an oil change because I had plans after and couldn t come back later and have work during the week and can t make it during the time service is open.I bought my car here so I get the free oil changes but honestly, I m going to be going somewhere else from now on and spend the money for an oil change because this is ridiculous and it s not the first time it s happened either. I ve had appointments for a few different reasons here and I literally have to wait a couple of hours each time. Being told that appointments don t even matter is such bad customer service. Why even offer appointments? I understand having to wait a little but 3 hours? It s insane. The customer service has definitely gone way down hill here.

Lot was cleanTrucks were cleanEverything seemed in order except no one ever asked if we needed any help. After being on the lot 30+ minutes we decided to leave.Maybe next time I will be able to raise the 3 star to a 5 star.Update:There was a next time and let me tell you what, Trevor the sales rep went above and beyond any sales rep that I have ever dealt with before. Due to some unforeseen circumstances with my trade in the buying process ended up taking nearly two weeks but Trevor communicated the entire time. At no time did I ever feel pressured or like I was being misled in any manner.If your looking for a great truck buying experience then by all means you need to swing by Greenbrier Dodge in Chesapeake.

Bought my truck here and they ran my credit 9 times without me knowing. I told them no several times and they wouldn t take it for an answer. It was super late by the time we left and neither my wife or I even wanted to buy the truck.The tech I had for state inspection the following year clearly can t even read. I was told one thing from two other service departments on an issue yet here, since he s clearly illiterate, he didn t pass my truck for the state inspection. I pulled up the state law and showed him but it still didn t help. Don t take your vehicle here for inspection.

Factory ordered a Jeep Wrangler Willys. My sales guy Trevor was awesome to work with and he was very knowledgeable about everything I needed to know about my jeep.
