Best repair center you ll find anywhere on the east coast. Jeff is by far the best service manager to handle any and all RV or travel trailer repairs and service to get you back on your way. They pride themselves in working with your schedule so you don t miss out on any camping adventures while getting your trailer or RV fixed up. Best prices around, and most importantly is their integrity. Under no circumstances will they compromise on making a sale or charging you for anything you don t want or need.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever encountered! I had damage to my class A Motorhome and went to this location to obtain an estimate. I was promised an estimate and it never showed up in my email. I went back a second time in person and was promised an estimate again, which was never provided. Several emails and months later with follow-up phone calls also failed to get an estimate.

We were 2000 miles from home in our brand-new camper, in a heavy thunderstorm, when copious amounts of water began leaking in around a window. The manufacturer put us in touch with Pete s. Jeff and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. They got us in the same day on an emergency basis. We were expecting a temporary fix - just enough to get us home - but they took everything apart, diagnosed the problem, and did the repairs in just a few hours. Great, great service!

A winterizing was preformed on our camper witch was fine but the tech failed to clean up the overflow of antifreeze that spilled out on to the outside of camper ,I don't feel I should have to go behind him & clean up the mess,so take more pride in your job. Campers aren't cheap so please treat other people's campers as if you would your own.

I recently had a major repair completed due to water damage in the back of my RV. Dean replaced a section of both the floor and wall. It looks as good as new. Once complete, there was no evidence of teardown, construction debris, or muddy shoe prints. The work area and repairs looked great. Both Dean and Trisha took time to show me the repairs. It wasn t a rushed experience and I typically pickup near the end of the workday. Dean even took additional time to reattach my window valence that I had forgotten to leave with him during the repair. Trisha consistently sent updates on the shipping status of repair parts which were impacted due to COVID/shipping delays and provided weekly updates on the repairs. Trisha and Brandon have always been easy to reach and helpful when scheduling preventative maintenance. Overall, the folks at the service center are a pleasure to work with.

We recently purchased a Class C RV from this dealership. The salesman was polite and kind. The dealership is clean and friendly. Yet I can't help but put out there that they do not seem to mean what they say. We committed to our purchase and it then came out that well the RV needed a new A/C. No big deal I suppose. They assured us that they found this out in a thorough inspection of our RV. Well during our first trip we find a bad seal on our sewage line. Surely something you would have inspected in your "thorough" inspection. So we take that in for service only to find out that we needed many gaps filled in our roof sealant. Again, something, had you done what you implied, would have been found. We were also told that they found a slow leak in our right rear tire because there was a nail in the tire.So within 3 weeks we will have 3 different service appointments on a 4 year old unit. Maybe this is on us for not following up more. I do know that when I asked them about what their inspection entailed, it was a basic, "does the engine start and it is safe to drive". That is a far cry from what they purposefully implied.I would add that the folks at the service center have been great and we have no issues there. We have just been surprised at the dealership associated with this service center.

We had a water leak in our new, 1week old, fifth wheel. I talked to Trisha about it explaining that we are living in our fifth wheel and needed it repaired ASAP.. She arranged for us to bring it in the next morning and she would have it checked out and, if possible, fixed . We were lucky that it turned out to be loose fittings on several connections and they were able to fix them and get us going. On our way out we were having trouble hooking up when a technician, Spencer, came by. He came over to see if he could help and found a problem with the hitch. He went back to the shop, got some tools, came back and fixed it, then helped get us hooked up and watched as we pulled out to be sure everything was all right. We can t say thank you for all the help we received today from Trisha and Spencer at American Family RV Service Center on Centerville Rd in Chesapeak, VA. Even though they were all booked up with they worked us in and took care of us.

I dropped my fifth wheeler off for an insurance claim in September. There were also some manufactures defects that needed to be addressed, one of them being the front compartment did not close at all. They left the compartment open for three months and I got a mouse infestation. This fifth wheeler is a Montana high country bunkhouse, it was only a few weeks old when I dropped it off to them for service. I dropped it off in September and they did not finish the work until May, their excuse was their technicians kept quitting. Once my fifth wheeler was ready to be delivered; their technician ran into a security gate causing damage to my camper damaging; my fifth wheeler went back to the shop for more service! They dropped my fifth wheeler off in May to a covered storage area. I just took it out, two months later and there is mouse droppings everywhere! I bought new mattresses for all the beds and there is mouse urine and droppings all over, making the beds usable. Mouse droppings in my and compartment, covering my sons stroller, toys and new playpen. Everything was thrown away for our children s safety. We asked if they would sanitize our fifth wheeler because they have a RV detailer on site that sprays a disinfectant throughout your camper. They refused to help even if it was for the safety of our children. Karen the head manager, did not take any accountability for the mice being in our camper and actually told me the more I use my camper, it would be less likely to get pest! We had to pay a company $500 to come and clean and bleach our camper immediately. I also asked American RV as a courtesy if they would patch any areas that the mice were coming in through and they said I would be financially responsible. No accountability at all for keeping our camper nine months rendering it unusable the entire winter season and returning it with an infestation!

We have a brand new fifth wheel and everything that needed to be done under warranty has been addressed and is being handled. Heather has been great and so far everyone is helpful. The fifth wheel is made by Forrest River, the second one we purchased, there have been a lot of issues, but American Family has handled everything. Our slide broke on our third trip and they actually had their service guy come out and get the slide to open, even though it was broken. That to me was wonderful service. I wish we would have purchased a different brand, but we really like the style of the one we purchased. Amy and Patrick Grogan

Did great job in replacing awning. Had new water tank installed and they used old brass fittings with plumbers putty still on threads . So hot water tank leaked on first use .

I'm brand new to pulling a camper - trailer! I was in a jam, needing a 7 way connector and electronic braking, and "Mike" was able to get the truck in the same day. Heather, as she wrote up the order, put my mind to ease. Characteristics: AWESOME, friendly, helpful, and teaching!

The level of service is hit or miss here. I've had an awful experience with the service department and then a time where they went above and beyond for us. They are extremely busy and under staffed so keep that in mind.
