I contacted Mr. Major when I was in a bind, my regular mechanic was tied up with a job and I needed my car on the road ASAP. I was a bit nervous using someone new but I took a chance and it paid off. Mr. Major was professional, polite and very knowledgeable. He even told me about a problem he saw that could potentially be a problem down the line. When I contacted him he contacted me back that same day after 7pm which surprised me but I was grateful for, and he came out the next morning. His price was in industry standards or lower so I know I wasn't ripped off. When he finished he cleaned up the area so there was no evidence he was even there. If you need a mechanic I recommend Major Mobile Mechanics. He will get the job done and have you back on the road in no time. Thank you Mr. Major for your help, and service is greatly appreciated!!Just FYI I never met this man before today this review is real and if his service was bad or lacking in anyway I would have put that in this review.

Im leaving my original comment for people to see that i only asked for help and i was willing to change and delete this comment desperate for help and now giving 1 star becuase this man misunderstood a plea for help. This was was not demean anyone or mess up anyones business. I have two children two part time jobs i was desperate for help even if it costed my last penny. I will not be spoken to like that when my words and intetions of NEEDING HELP was clear. It had nothing to do with him not answering i simply assumed my number was blocked because its not a nomral number for this state so i was reaching somewhere he could see i was a person and not a scam.Original comment "Leaving three stars for now hoping to find a reliable mechanic. It says 24 hours but my call is now going to voicemail. If someone could give me a call back tomorrow morning im the (609) number thats calling im from out of state and cannot start my car to get it to someone ive been without it for a week Ive had very good luck with mobile mechanics in the past even better than a local shop. Very satisfied with my experience. I had a scheduling conflict, but he was willing and able to work with me to get my brake pads changed after I failed inspection. This man was fast, reasonable, and obviously knew what he was doing. I bought the proper brake pads on Amazon, drove to him, and paid <1/4 of what Meineke quoted me. He was done in 10 min and I watched the whole thing. Amazing work--I'm eager to return!

Called a little before 10am to see about replacing rear brakes. Arrived a little after 11am and he was done within about 35 minutes. Hands down a great mechanic! And you can t beat his pricing! We will be using his services again! Thank you so much!

Update:I needed my brakes serviced so I called him up. He accepted the task and in under 2 hours I was on my way. Needless to say, he was awesome! Professional, efficient, fast, and affordable service as usual!!!I needed my front and rear brakes done. I also needed an oil change. Not only was the price affordable, but Major was done in under 45 minutes. This mechanic does outstanding work. He is very honest, and that is hard for females to find in a mechanic. He always tries to help you save money where he can. He even explains and shows you what he is doing. Which helps me to understand better. He continuously works on your car no matter how long it takes, for the same price quoted. All you do is bring him the parts, if I needed another part he would tell me, I go get it and he even waits until you get back. Cheaper than going to the shop and saves me so much money, that I leave him a tip for all his hard work. I haven't seen any better prices than his in the whole tidewater area. There is no other mechanic I'd rather have. I will always be a customer.

Had a radiator problem which a mobile mechanic came to my house to repair last Thursday, left the job undone and never came back. Called Major today Feb. 2nd about 10: 30 am, he gave me a price, very reasonable, and was by my house around 1:30 pm. Very courteous, and efficient. The job was done in under 3 hrs, I'm very happy that I have a running car again. Would recommend Major 100%.

Excellent work on changing my rear brake pads. Even checked my brake fluid because another company failed my inspection because they said I needed my brake fluid flushed. He said that my brake fluid was fine. I went to another company to get my state inspection and they confirmed that the brake fluid was indeed fine and passed my inspection. I will highly recommend Major Mobile Mechanics to anyone.Service: Brakes

Major mechanics will definitely be my new go to mechanic. He worked fast and was thorough. Add the fact that he comes to you so you don t have to sit and wait in a waiting room for hours with affordable prices. You seriously can t beat that. Definitely give him a call your pockets will thank you.

Solid , honest fair mechanic. Went there thinking I needed rear pads and rotors (i provided parts) after he got everything apart we found out that wasnt the case at all he could have just done the job I asked him to do and sent me on my way. Instead he drove my van to see exactly what was wrong fixed that and saved me money ! He also did a phenomenal job showing me every step of the way what was going on, what I needed and why. Definitely earned a loyal customer ! He was also friendly and professional! I went to his location but he will also come to you for a fee.

Best mechanic in town. I called Major around 930 this morning due to needing work done on my vehicle. He was at my house in 30 minutes in the rain. Very quick and efficient. A job well done! Will recommend to family and friends .

Major was very professional! I was searching for a mobile mechanic to fix my starter since I was trying to save money and couldn t get it towed to a shop. His price was reasonable and he was done within no time. We did have a slight hiccup because advance gave us the wrong part but Major went to a different store and changed the part out for me! I was very thankful for that I didn t want to spend any more money on an Uber. Best mechanic I have encountered while being in Virginia!!

Reliable and easy to work with. I drive a hummer h3 which most people won t even touch. He was able to do my brakes and tie rod for a great price. Will definitely be back for any of my vehicle needs..

Extremely reliable and does a great job. Responds quickly, and is very knowledgeable. Helped me with a troublesome caliper bracket bolt, and changed my brakes and rotors. Even helped me out with another rotor issue. Have used him before and will use him again. Appreciate the help brother!

Did great work. 8 years+ experience.I bought my brakes (and brake sensor kit) as instructed. For a small extra fee they'll come to you! I love my EBC performance brake pads from Amazon, too!

TIP YOUR MECHANIC! We forget to tip our service people and Major definitely provided great service! He changed my starter IN THE RAIN and he came to me. It doesn t get more convenient than that! #1 mechanic in Norfolk! Highly recommended

I tried to use this service to have my coolant exchange. First, I called because it was an emergency where my car was overheating and he said I would need to have a diagnostic first. I took care of that by going to Autozone, having a person look at my hood to make sure there was no leaks, and which everything was fine my coolant reservoir was empty. Finally, I call him back where he ignores my call two times and texted, pop open the hood, fill the coolant and to please stop contacting him. When in actuality, I NEEDED the water to be drained as I couldn t just put the coolant in. Very unprofessional and needs to realize if someone is willing to give you money for a case of emergency where if they drive they are putting their lives in more danger because of the car issue at hand. Never will recommend this place to anyone.

Very reasonable along with excellent service. Would recommend the services to anyone I know. It s very rare you find someone who is timely and informs you of other things with your car during the job he is doing. If there were more stars to give I would definitely give them.

Poor service. Hung up on me once I asked for a quote. Very unprofessional could've just said he didn't offer the service or didn't wanna do the job. Definitely only contacted dude once answering a question he asked and informing him i already had the part. He didn't respond so I called him hours later said sorry not trying to be annoying but can I get a quote. He answered the phone all nice to "hello major mobile mechanics" hung up after I asked for the quote.
