HIGHLY recommend THIS Maaco.Katie (the owner and master painter!) and her team did a phenomenal job. Couldn t be happier with results.And I know what you re thinking: Maaco? Seriously? BUT YES, THIS particular Maaco!And I ll tell you why .A good car friend in the VA Tidewater area, felt my pain of my damaged car as well as the hassle of getting estimates and finding someone who really knows what they re doing that s not trying to rip you off so they led me to this place. It had not crossed my mind to actually ship the car halfway across the country to be repaired and painted.A deer decided to take its life and run directly into the side of the passenger front fender (see pics) and Acrobatically fly through the sky landing on the back rear quarter panel. Its antler dug into the hood as it started its aerial act; While I was cruising down the interstate at 75 mph. Broke my heart, as my 2006 S2000 is extremely rare, having never been modified, scratched (before now) and less than 50K miles.Primarily Garage kept most all of its life, I decided to go ahead and just repaint the entire car anyhow. I never plan to get rid of it so figured I may as well. ESPECIALLY after I received the estimate(s) from Katie. She and her team priced out a couple of estimates for me; repairing what was damaged only and also the repairs plus just repainting the entire car the estimates were almost too good to be true, in comparison, to the other estimates I had received in the St. Louis Missouri area Now, Maaco will do an inexpensive quick sand and paint if that s what you want/need. (It s also what they re known for)BUT they also do top tier painting/projects as well at THIS Chesapeake, Virginia location on Smith Ave. And this particular Maaco has a massive semi-truck paint booth as well, that will hold a 40+feet trailer. I knew when I saw that that they knew what they were doing at this location. Very few places have capability of repainting an entire full-size motorhome.Basically, it s up to you on how much you want to spend; with what you want done and on what level.I have seen many results of Katie s top tier projects since, and the results of my car in no exception. THIS IS the place you want to have a car (or massive truck/trailer etc) painted on any and all levels.And don t underestimate the bodywork skills at this Maaco as well. These folks don t smack a bunch of Bondo on and call it a day. They clearly spent a lot of time knocking out dings/dents, using the most minimal amount of Bondo possible.I was happy to ship my car over 1000 miles, JUST for Katie and her staff to repair and paint it. NO regrets! And you will not have any regrets either .Check out all the pics. They even sent me pictures of the work they were doing, in process. Now that s TOP NOTCH customer service and rare to find these days!Hope this review helps!

They repaired a few dents in my Dodge Challenger and did a fantastic job! Matt was superb for the entire experience. Super nice dude, and worked with me on getting my car back quickly! Hopefully I never have to use them again, but if I do I will specifically go to this one! Thanks for all the help!

Not only did they give the Mini a fresh paint job, they expertly popped out a couple of dents from these wonderful VA roads. They were also able to change the color of my roof.Furthermore, they offered to order some pieces that were missing from my chrome, I denied it but it shows the pride they take in making sure it came out better than what it went in as.Great customer service and efficient in what they do. Best Maaco on the area, hands down.

Great customer service from the moment I walked in to the day of pick up! Needed touch up on faded trunk and peeling on the roof. This gave me an opportunity to do something fun with the roof (color change) but kept trunk same color. Tracey took the time to explain their paint packages and their painting process. Matt provided me with a book of colors to choose from. Dropped off Tuesday and picked up Friday! They made this process so quick and easy. The trunk looks brand new and I love how the roof came out! This is hands down the best place to take your car! They did an awesome job on my truck painting,sanding, and fixing my dents. All the people that work there are very friendly and very helpful, I highly recommend Maaco for all your car needs.

When I first arrived at this Maaco I was greeted by Brian who made me feel very welcome. He answered all of my questions. His price was the best and they were able to take care of my 2005 Silverado NOW. The whole process took less than 2 weeks. The final product is amazing. I ve already received comments that my truck looks brand new. Big thanks to Brian and his team of Chad and Landon. If you re in need of a super paint job with great customer service make this your Maaco.

Me and my girl got into a rear end accident after we had just gotten our 2021 wrx back from subaru earlier that week for a catalytic converter replacement. Winston and his guys very much made the car look brand new again! Me and my girl couldnt have been any happier with the results! My car was at this Maaco site for over a month. Tracy was one of the best customer service representatives I could ve ever asked for. While my insurance put me through the ringer Tracy was always on the other end of the phone giving me the truth. Just by the customer service, and bodywork of the shop, I would recommend them to anyone!

I have been here a bunch of times with different vehicles of mine and they absolutely kill it every time! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. They work fast and are very detailed oriented. I have been to other body shops in the area and no one else even begins to compare with the level of workmen ship and communication. These guys are the best plain and simple.

I was hesitant about this place from just general word about it. But I took a chance. This place did some good work. It isn t a factory quality paint job by any means, but Winston was always keeping me updated. My car did no cure properly the first time around, but because of their warranty and friendly staff they repainted the whole car and even did some extra work just for any inconvenience. I will say the car overall turned out great! When I did receive my car I have noticed some missing pieces and things not reinstalled properly, but when I brought my concerns up to Winston he always made sure to resolve the issue and more! Winston made the experience very good, and they WILL be seeing me again at this Maaco! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

What a great team! Gave competitive pricing, no hidden extra fees and was done within the time frame expected. I took my GMC Terrain in for a paint job when the stock paint started to delaminate and it looks like a brand new car! I will take take all of my paint and bodywork to this shop! I'm so pleased!

In February 2024, our CRV was hit and person did not leave a note . Took to Maaco to get bumper repaired . Matt was a great help and had it finished few days early !My 2010 Black Honda CRV was showing sun fading on he hood and roof . Winston came me a proposal to fix that and then one for the entire car . The proposal was so cost effective that I had the entire car painted . He even fixed the golf ball dent on the passenger door. The car looks brand new and my friends are so impressed . They had my car ready early to save on my car rental . Winston and Tracy were the most friendly and respectful young men. I definitely would go back . The last time we had been to Maaco was overt 30 years ago when they painted my sons car . Very good business .Service: Painting

Jeep XJ paint job. Turned out amazing! They finished within a week! By Friday evening my truck was complete. I swung by Saturday, it was parked outside and finished. Unfortunately, their hours do not support your weekend needs. Your vehicle might be finished Friday evening but you won t see it until that following Monday due to working hours. Overall, my experience was great.. slightly over charged for the expected hourly man power (proven by current employee/friend of mine) but that is expected with companies like this. Still, a magnificent job on the paint work!Service: Painting

Super happy. This location did a great job with a full paint job of my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Brian and Tracey were super at communicating and very patient as we tried to figure out the best color. They took the time to make sure we were happy with our choices and went above and beyond to make cards with the different colors - super helpful. Not sure about other locations- but this one is professional and friendly. And the cost was worth every penny! Nicely done Brian and Tracey.

I just don't know what to say paid $3,000 for a paint job they did not primer the vehicle took it in on a warranty ..they did spot fix it ..I'm not upset with customer service ..but paint job is failing because they didn't prep correctly and they know it I would love to have my truck repainted under warranty and let's try to get it right this time....more paint peeling.... looks good from 25 ft

This Macco on Smith Ave is terrible. I first brought my pilot for repair and when I got it back it had a dent that they did not take responsibility for. They made me come out of pocket to fix what they did. Second time around I brought my Accord to fix a fender bender, they took my front bumper off to repair and did not install the bumper in correctly. I took it back for them to see and they refused once again to take responsibility. I regret giving them my business. I d give zero stars if it was possible.Service: Body & Trim

The paint job didn't come out as perfect as I expected. Had the car cut and buffed afterward with little difference made. It's important to know "macco is still macco" and that you won't win any carshows.
