I still use L&M Scooter Repair for ALL of my moped needs. Butch is a great mechanic, knowledgeable, conscientious, very reasonable prices, by far the best in the business I've seen. Often I'll just stop in to say hi and talk while he's working on a bike or something else. Just one good guy. Highly recommend his services.

I don t even write reviews but this guy is awesome !!! He came and picked up my scooter and dropped it off at my job all in 2 days ! My scooter running like new . He is highly recommended to anybody in the area

Butch (the mechanic) is legit! I normally don t write reviews but I recently got a kit put on my moped. At first it was having bad start ups bc the battery which was due to the guy/con at import cycle center throwing a bad battery in it, so he made sure to come switch it out for me before i even had work! He s respectful and will actually fix your scooter up the right way instead of doing just enough to get some $$ out of you just so it can break down month or two later. Theres a-lot of dishonest mechanics and he s definitely not one. You don t go to just any barber to get your haircut. Why would you do any different for your moped theres too many mechanics that are shady this guy isn t. I wouldn t let anyone touch my scooter if its not L&M scooter! That decision is up to you . Fair prices great work!

I been going to L&M Scooters and auto repair shop for a few year now. The owner of the shop name is Butch, he also the top mechanic. The guy is a professional licensed mechanic ,very reliable, has affordable labor prices, and get the job done correctly at a reasonable time. I get my 50cc moped value adjust every year from him. For my engine can keep driving with good air compression all year around. He a good mechanic very knowledgeable about 4 stoke engines, two-cycle engines, and all types of vehicle engines. I normally don't write reviews this long. But, a good trustworthy mechanic is hard to find nowadays. So, I have to give him his recognition for being a good, respectable mechanic.

I know large amount people that go to this repair shop, to get their repairs done. The people are pleased with their repairs and equitable labor prices. One of my friends brought an brand new Yamaha 50cc moped from Honda of Norfolk in 2016. He had a one warranty then it expired in 2017. Early January of this year. His moped was having problems. Like cutting off when driven and sometimes taken one hour to 5 hours to start back up his engine. He took his moped back to Honda of Norfolk. where he pay for it. The cost of his mop was 3,000. Found out the problem was he needed a new brain in his moped whatever that is. Buying the part was 500 and 500 to 700 for labor. It was to much for him. So, he thought about put in it up for sell for as is. Then go back to HRT buses as his transportation. So, me and a few other people recommended him to try out L&m. Before you know it, he got in contact with the people of L&m. His moped was fixed for nearly half of the price. Now his moped been running good for 8 months now with no problems at all.

I have called these folks throughout memorial day weekend and beyond. I have left messages and received no response either way. This is not how a business should be run.

I been going to L&M repair shop for a couple of years now. Overall good experiences trustworthy and professional mechanics. The prices are very affordable and the work get done correctly.

Repair rate for mopeds/scooters is 35/hr. I did not use their service but owner was knowledgeable. They'd be my first choice for repairs in Chesapeake.

My variator on my scooter was trashed, needed one asap..man sold me like new one for $20, beats buying one for alot more at other scooter shops, will come back again next time i have emergency.

Picked up a truck from these guys. The owner was very cool and helpful! Aside from Auto repair work, they also do Budget truck rentals.

When my rear-locked up on my scooter this guy picked it up and had it ready the next day. Will defiantly use him for any repairs I need that I can't do myself
