Their building is off the beaten path but it works in your advantage. Get In without any crazy wait times. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. Give them a try.

There s not much worse than being out and discovering one of your tires is going flat and has been pierced by road debris. I was lucky enough to come across Hampton Roads Tire Service. They were able to patch my tire and send me on my way. So very nice, professional and reasonable. Highly recommend Gary the Service Advisor and John the Technician.

Came here for a tire repair they were able to take me as a walk in. Unfortunately my tire couldn t be repaired but they had my tire size in stock so I just bought 4 new tires. They had them all mounted and balance and I was out in an hour. Customer service was very friendly and the place is very pro military,

This is a family owned business and they truly are friendly. The service is fast and efficient. The prices are fair. I go to this business often for my workplace, always the same. Great

Absolutely Horrible!! Took our company fleet truck for an alignment and after 10 days they can't get it done. They sent it to another shop without our knowledge to complete the repairs. After calling for an update they now tell us that the alignment can t be done and they delivered the truck back to our shop with the suspension completely apart and now we can t even drive the vehicle. These people have no idea what they are doing. Stay away from these guys!Update - Your response is completely untrue. Are you sure you are responding to the correct client? There was zero communication with us and we had to call numerous times only to find out that you sent it to another shop without informing us. Once it was returned to us the suspension was not put back together and had several loose bolts making the vehicle completely unsafe to drive. I will post the video of how you returned the vehicle for your reference. You failed to mention that you also had to pay a mobile mechanic to come out and repair the suspension YOUR company failed to put back together. I don't know why the vehicle would need new tires as new tires were installed 4 DAYS prior to driving it to your shop, I have the receipt. This was the only reason we sent it to your shop. It drove there perfectly fine. but when it returned it was completely undrivable. This is completely dangerous and could have killed someone due to your company's negligence.

Horrible horrible service. Went here to get an inspection last week Friday and they told me my vehicle failed for 3 things and that they couldn't work on it that day and I had to bring it back in another day, it was only around 3pm. Brought it back on Wednesday around noon so that they could fix the minor work that needed to be fixed (marker light, signal light, and replace a tire bracket), had to leave it because they said they wouldn't be able to get it done that day, that was around 1pm. They called me around 4ish to tell me that they have to order the bracket and it will be done in the morning. No call on Thursday until I called to check on it. They told me the guy is on lunch and has to finish when he gets back. That was around 11am. Just called to see if they finished 6 hours later and they tell me the shop is closed I have to call in the morning. Poor communication , very slow, and I'm just hoping the work they do doesn't match their communication and convince. Nice people work here but communication is not good. Will update with an after service review.

I was very pleased that they were able to get my truck in for inspection right away. I think they did a good job in regards to finding the issues but it was a HUGE disappointment once I drove my truck afterwards. My brakes are horrible now and my check oil light came on, both of which were non existent before the inspection. Also worth mentioning, I had replaced my brake pads with new premium pads within the last year.

Was not pleased with the service for state inspection. I was first in line with a first come first serve service structure which I was told the day before. They put me fourth in line. I inquired about it, they adjusted and made my vehicle next after the vehicle that was pulled in before me, which was a re-inspection. No problem with that, but the problem for me was when my vehicle was rejected, which I had no problem with, they didn't complete the inspection before they pulled in the other vehicle they wanted to inspect before mine. They were anticipating me purchasing tires from there. When I informed them that I was not purchasing tires from there at this time, I had to wait until the inspector finished the car they brought in without closing out my vehicle, which caused me to be late for work. I am not happy with that, especially since the inspector seem so bent on inspecting that vehicle he brought in, before completing my vehicle inspection; rejected or not. Basically it amounted to having two cars put before me. Unacceptable..especially for first come, first serve.

Recently started going here after things went downhill at the place I've been going to for years. Gotten 3 inspections so far and all were quicker than I've ever had one done. The folks there are really nice and act like they want your business. I was really getting frustrated with getting my cars inspected because a lot of shops act like it's a hassle or the inspector is at lunch/on vacation/on break, etc. I'll probably start getting my cars serviced here too. Seems like a reputable shop

Nice and friendly until you refuse services from them. Got a state inspection done, they failed for oil on my breaks went to another place 24hrs later...they failed me but not for my oil on brakes, but for a tire that was basically bald, break lights were out, and other very important things on the car that needed to be updated and replaced to ensure the safety of the vehicle, that this place didn't fail me for or even mention..... The state inspector there is rude and lazy and the office manager has no sense of customer service. Avoid this place at all cost

Customer service was very old fashioned. Register operators did not know enough about ringing out a transaction and the website advertises services that are not offered on site. I went to purchase tires and install them, get my head lights restored, and get an oil change. I left with only the oil change and I was charged twice for one service.

I got two tires changed here. The work they did seemed fine, the tire seemed a little expensive, but I don't necessarily blame the shop for that. I think I just have expensive tires. The biggest thing that bothered me is, while they have a lot of signs up mandating wearing masks, three of the five employees I saw while I was there were either not wearing them at all, or wearing them improperly. Also, they didn't enforce it with multiple customers that came in while I was waiting. Just something to be cautious about.

Close to my house so this place was convenient for me. Wanted to replace a spare tire I was using since my original tire blew on the interstate. Told them my tire size and they helped me find a replacement tire and gave me a price. They informed me I would be paying the price of the tire + taxes and a disposal tire fee. Around 6 additional dollars in total. I agreed and the process was quick and painless. Overall I am pleased with my experience dealing with this business.

I came in for state inspection and a tire with a slow leak. They could have told me the tire could not be repaired and I would have been none the wiser. That is NOT what they did. They told me it had a nail and could be fixed, thereby losing the possible sale of 2 new tires. Honest mechanics do exist! Who knew?!

Dropped my truck off to have the Balance Beads taken out to go with regular stick on weights, they didn't remove the beads and tried to balance the tires with the beads. Ended up with 5 oz of weight on one side of the rim and 2 oz 180 degrees out>> didn't ride very well! Took the Stick on weights off and rides much better.

Honestly, I thought long & hard about writing this review because I NEVER write reviews, & rarely complain, but it needs to be said that this place is a JOKE! Last Friday, my car overheated and once my husband realized he did not have the time or tools to fix it we took it to Hampton Roads Tire Service. They took my car right away, and even called us quickly to let us know they found the problem. My husband went back because he had already looked at the car himself and what they were telling him didn't add up. My husband went into the garage and had to show the mechanic things he had found earlier. We should have took our business elsewhere but didn't because I really didn't want to keep driving my car that clearly had something really wrong with it. We left, & on Saturday they called to say that the part they needed to fix my car was no where to be found on the east coast, they could order it, but it would not arrive till Wednesday. At this point we were frustrated, but understanding & said ok. We agreed to let them do the work, but said that what we didn't want to happen was come Wednesday, get a phone call saying that wasn't the issue. They assured us this would not happen. Well, Wednesday came & they called to say that they discovered an even bigger issue that they didn't have time to fix, but would only charge us $133 & that my car needed to be towed. So I drove my car there, and now it needs to be towed because you can't fix it, but will only charge me for diagnostics/labor?! The only labor you succeeded in doing was tear my car apart, & as far as any diagnostics test, my husband pointed them out! After going back & forth with them, they did waive the fees, & said they could put the car back together, but they would charge us for labor, or they could tow it for us but didn't know when they could get around to doing that. "Gee thanks!" Overall, this place is a disappointment. Perhaps they are competent enough to do basic maintenance, but that's about it. Don't waste your time/money on a place that clearly can't tell when they are in over their head.

2 mechanics out this a.m. so took longer than previous years. Great inspection station though. Ask to pet one of their office pugs...cute dogs, and coffee! Whats not to like! Professional mechanics also.

My tire had been punctured by a bolt in the road, coming off the interstate, and I needed an emergency tire replacement. It was closing time, but tht didn't stop one of their employees, Tony, from quickly helping me out by replacing the tire, and at a VERY inexpensive price. Customer service is THE BEST!!!

Waited 6 hours for an oil change and was failed to be notified of its completion. Had to call the shop after hours (luckily someone answered) and have them leave my keys in the car so that I could pick it up. Turned the vehicle on (in their lot) and my low-pressure tire light came on and air pressure slowly escaped the tire as I drove down Military Highway. Pulled over and found a nail in my tire. They said, "it couldn't have happened at their shop because I didn't change the spare tire in their lot". Will not be returning.

Got very poor service. The staff except a guy named Lee were very professional. Went in for a reinspection and an item that passed a couple weeks ago failed. I asked why. Had me leave without any inspection sticker. Lee called me a liar when I question about not having an inspection sticker and my business is not welcomed. He refused to apologize to me for calling me a liar.

Took my truck there for a state inspection. They told me I needed new brake pads and rotors on the rear end and a new headlight bulb because "it wasn't bright enough". I asked for a quote and they wanted 650 dollars. I told them to drop it and I would do the work myself. I get the truck home and went to take the tires off to change the brakes and the tires were seized on. So I asked myself, how do they know I need new rotors if they didn't even take the tires of the truck? So I take the tires off and there is nothing wrong with the rotors. I change the brakes and replace the light bulb and take it back to get reinspected. They now tell me I need just 1 rotor replacement. So I ask which is it 1 or 2 ?you said before I needed both. Then I asked how did you say I needed new rotors and you never took my tires off? They said huh! I told them I knew they didn't take the tires off because they were seized on. And he replied I just figured you needed them because your pads were lowand if you were going to replace we recommend to change both.So I say look we both know that there is nothing wrong with the rotors he insists that he put a micrometer on it and it was was like .037 to low to pass but the other 1 is ok. Bottom line is these people think they can get away with ripping off people but guess what not me

Just bought a tire for my minivan here havent made it 15 miles and have put air in it twice and going to have to put air in it again to make it back to them when and if I do. They never checked the air pressure after the tire was put on the van and were more concerned with getting back to working on the other car they had been working on to even say when they were done. I will edit this post with how they handled the situation once the tire is fixed.
