Stopped here today after an exhaust clamp came loose on my car which disconnected the exhaust pieces. I was still a few hours from home. I believe his name is Jason, helped me out and got the car in the air to tighten everything down. Good people here!Thanks again!!

I was the 1st person in line through the opening and all I needed was an oil change. I waited 2 hours and 17 minutes to get my car back. It has always taken between 30 minutes to 45 minutes to get my car back. They have always taken those who wanted an oil change and are waiting for the car. This time they did all the cars that were dropped off 1st.This did not happen in the past. I am very disappointed in this process. If I need to make an appointment or there is a change in policy I would have like to have known this when I talked to them last Friday. Thanks for listening to this situation.

Had a fantastic experience at Big Al's Mufflers & Brakes. After getting a sky-high quote of $1000 to replace parts at another shop, Manager Jim at Big Al's offered a much more reasonable price. They inspected my vehicle and decided that a full replacement was unnecessary, a patch job would do, costing less than the quoted price. Their honesty and swift service was refreshing and superb. My car passed the state inspection flawlessly after their repairs. Big thanks to Big Al's team for their integrity, speed, and excellent service. Keep up the good work!

The front desk associate was absolutely positively pleasant. Not only with me but with everyone that came into the shop. Even when answering the phone. He gave you is undivided attention when you approach the counter. He also explained to you want was going on with your car and answered any questions that were ask with patience and compassion. Job well done!!!

Great work and good prices. Eddie was quite helpful in organizing the work and helping me figure out what figured needed to be done. Jason was SUPER quick at installing my new muffler and really helpful. He walked me under the car and showed me where the leak was before he did the work and then again after he was done. He even took the time to talk to me about some other car questions. Really nice guys and honest; I plan to go back for more work in the future.Service: Exhaust

This place is a waste of time and money. Last week, we took our Ford Focus in for diagnosis before my boyfriend went to work. Despite reminding the man at the counter of my boyfriend's work commitments, he engaged in consistent chatter with another customer, unable to multitask effectively. Meanwhile, I waited in our other car with our whining baby, feeling irritated by the lack of consideration and focus. It's frustrating to be ignored while the staff prioritizes casual conversation over customer service. To make matters worse, we were quoted $1,700 to replace the intake manifold, with a total job cost of $2,300, which we found outrageous. Fortunately, a second opinion from K&D Auto revealed a simple vacuum leak, costing only $50. Needless to say, we won't be returning here.

I went to the establishment for an oil change. I was checked in as well as gave my keys to the receptionist. After sitting for maybe 5 minutes. The receptionist comes in the lobby and tell me your car ran out of gas. I informed the receptionist that how was that possible if I pulled up with a half of tank and drove 35+ mins to get to that specific location. The mechanic said he only pulled the car from the parking slot that I backed into and then it was a gas spill. Once I asked how is that possible since I m not familiar with cars, the mechanic started assuming I was implying he actually put something in the tank. Long story short, they said they will have to lift the car up to see if the gas tank has a leak. It didn t but nobody knew until one of them would be able to take the tank down and that wouldn t be until April 1st, 2024 since I came March 31st,2024.

Went in to get my brakes and rotors serviced. James waited on me. He was so pleasant knowledgeable, and made sure that I was aware of the issues that were going on with my brakes. I m definitely going back.

I was told by a dealership that I needed brakes on my truck and when I took it Here, since they are the ones that put my brakes on the last time, they told me that my truck didn't needed brakes. I was very grateful that they didn't just put new brakes on it with out inspecting them first. They said it was something else that was making the noise.

Fast and got it done, was a bit pricey, especially for how simple the job was, wide open, nothing to go around, even re used my existing tailpipe and parts, but was basically charged top dollar for a bottom dollar muffler.

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION !!!! The price of a radiator for an Acura Tl went up to over 400 dollars when the matter at hand was obviously a blown head gasket now the car itself is no longer drivable due to the fact that Jim Brown at this Indian river location for Big Al s decided to slap a Bandage on a serious issue P.S. the radiator cap was included in the total price when a cap should already be included in a brand new radiator package, want my advice ? Steer clear of this place of business !!!

Went for a simple oil change and alignment my car was working fine then they said that they couldn t align it cause the front shock or strut assembly needs to be replaced for 669.00. I told them that I didn t have that kind of money and couldn t do it. The very same night I left I started hearing knocking noises and within two days the front right tire totally went to hell I took a lot of pictures and talked to people like Michael Taylor who I just bought the tires from at discount tire on battlefield on aug 10th and everyone s wondering the same thing how the hell did the bolts get so lose?!lNow my car can t even drive the car had no problems until I took it there

They did not install a plug in the catalytic converter. I contacted the company and they admitted they made a mistake. However, they refused to correct the problem in a timely manner. I will have to spend more money to fix it myself to avoid damage to my vehicle. In the video you can clearly see the missing plug.

Looking for HONESTY and INTEGRITY, go to Big Al's on Indian River Rd. and speak to Jim. It was easy to get an appointment and greeted pleasantly with my coupons. My car dealership told me car needed 4 services for over $300.00. Had 1 done for $85.00, ouch!!! Took car into Big Al's on Indian River Rd. for remaining 3. After hooking car up for testing, I was told nothing was needed and there was no charge, not even for testing.Appreciate you Jim.

We had our car in two other shops before coming here. With two completely diagnosises that would have cost us a lot of money. Well, we brought it here because I had previously had my exhaust fixed on our other car here, i wasn't away they did more then exhaust systems until I further looked into them. They had that car in and out super quick with an accurate diagnosis and fixed in no time.Apperently both shops were completely wrong and it was a really simple fix. Big Als got us in super fast the day before the 4th of July holiday weekend and on Monday the 3rd we had our car back. Mind you our car was already out of commission for weeks because the other shops took awhile. The second shop had our car for over a week without even looking at it.I believe I talked to Rick each time I called and he was super professional and nice. He was straight forward with me and made sure the car was safe for us to drive before giving it back. We definitely will be doing service with them in the future.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement

I was recommenced by my mechanic shop to come here for an exhaust leak because they are honest and upfront. That is exactly what they are. These days so many are trying to take advantage and scam people out of there hard earned money. They of course could of told me this, that and this needed replaced but they told me what actually was wrong (which I already knew by the way) and fixed it for a fair price. Thanks to the staff at this location for being honest.

I was always told that Big Al's is a discount shop. First I found that to be untrue, Good thing I didn't take out a $3,000 credit card for my two Catalytic converters I went down the road and found a much better deal around half that price. Anyways to update the Manager Jim Brown made things right, he refunded me the diagnosis fee and showed me that they can match the price of the place that did the repair. Impressed

Travis is great! He s been kind enough to show me when a pipe was rusty and needed to be replaced. He also came out with me a couple times when I was in the parking lot and needed him to listen to the car or turn the steering wheel recognizing that he didn t need to test drive it once he got in and turned the wheel . He instills trust and the offer a Military discount on some pricing. All 3 employees I ve spoken with were great I just know Travis much better highly recommend this location and plan to return.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes
