Best place ever. I have a jeep, and most likely, when I went off road, one of the sand dunes must have bent my transmission cooling line. So i had a small drip. A friend of mine had a hook up at the local Jeep dealership. That mechanic told me what part to buy online and he will replace it. After he repaired it and i hooked him up with a few bucks, I noticed my transmission fluid went from a drip to now a puddle with the new line. I decided to stop by, and Adam looked at it, and he did what he could, but it still dripped. He told me to get the line from the dealership vice online and bring it back to him. I did, and he put it on, and it works perfectly.. I should have dealt with him in the first place. It's a shame that a mechanic at the dealership that works on these vehicles all the time could not fix something, and it cost me more money... Thank you. Cannot complain about someone that gets you in and out quickly for the quoted price. Too many tines have I had a vehicle go to tge purgatory of repair shops to never get it back or its never the same. Well not here these guys are great and all about getting the job done fast and efficiently.

This shop is great! Very good on the phone and in person communicating what I needed. They under promised and over delivered! All the work I needed was done in less time than originally estimated and under my expectation on cost. On top of that my car stops on a dime and it's cold as ice now. Adam has provided beyond exceptional service for my partner and I. From doing a quick oil change to replacing my popped tire and snapped bolt in a timely manner for a reasonable price. He even put on wiper blades for me for free. I m extremely grateful and I believe I found the right guy and right place to work on my car. American Car Care is the best place I have ever had the pleasure to work with! Adam and Alyssa are some of the most outstanding, honest people I have met in the business. Not only was the work done in a timely manner they also gave me a great price and genuinely cared about the issue I had. I feel completely confident In the work that was performed and I know It couldn t have been done better by anyone else. They stay true to their word and the work ethic is undeniably the best! I would recommend anyone reading this not to hesitate to let them work on your vehicle knowing you will be well taken care of. I live in Williamsburg and will drive the 45 minutes to have all my vehicles worked on from here on out. Thanks you guys, and gal, YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!

This is my first ever Google review and the owner Adam deserves every good review he's got and more. My car brake had seized resulting in a destroyed rotor and brake pads causing metal grating sounds when the car was in motion. Being out of state, my folks and I were unsure where to go and were wary about mechanics looking to charge us extra since we were in a pinch. After calling about a dozen mechanics for estimates, Adam was the only one who gave the most reasonable quote for the fix AND stuck to it when all was said and done. Not only that but he even saved us money by identifying that it was a caliper pin issue meaning we didn't have to spend money on new calipers. He took the time to explain everything clearly, had the car fixed very quickly, and even gave us travel suggestions and tips. Adam was an absolute pleasure to work with. My family and I were very thankful for his transparency, integrity, and professionalism. Thanks to him we were able to continue enjoying our vacation seamlessly and had a car which was now safe for the long trip back.Services: Brakes, Auto brake replacement

I'm from New England. Up there I had a trust worthy mechanic. Coming down here I don't know anyone. Trying to find a likewise worthy mechanic is very risky. I've done business with a couple places since my arrival here in Hampton roads and it's all been shady and sketchy. Not here, Adam is very honest and proffesional and I highly recommend this shop. I will be getting all my automobile services done here from now on.

Pulled in with a messed up transmission. Mr. Adam checked and I did need to have transmission rebuilt or replaced. American Car Care was patient and worked with my warranty (who denied my claim), but Mr. Adam gave us good pricing and had us back on the road in a couple days. Good service. Keeps you updated every step. Good and fair pricing. Works with warranty companies. Friendly staff.

This morning 01/25/23 at 9:35 am I pulled into the parking lot to get my transmission checked . The sign says open but the door is closed and locked. I call the telephone number provided on the door twice and they just let it ring. I see the receptionist at the desk and she ducks down so I can t see her. Very poor service for a place that doesn t look busy .

I've been dealing with Adam for years. He is honest and loyal type of man.Much respect but I really like there customer services and how they treat people. Great energy and spirit everytime I walk in. I would definitely recommend anybody that needs work done to go there. The work they do gets done right and they have very fair prices.

I absolutely love this shop. Its where i bring all my vehicals to be repaired. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are affordable and do great work. I've recommended this shop to many friends and they have always come back to me happy and satisfied. Adam, you and your crew are doing a great job. I'm so grateful to have finally found an honest mechanic I can trust, thank you.

I came here for issues I was having with my cvt transmission. I d gone to a competitor company in the area, prior to going to American car care, that had made me feel like they might have been trying to get over on me. Adam was honest and explained what was going on. When I took my vehicle in to finally get it fixed, it was worse than originally thought (partly due to it taking a few months to get the cost of replacing a transmission), but Adam still worked with me to get the best option With the most reasonable costs. He even wanted me to bring my vehicle back a couple weeks later to make sure everything was still going good. Adam is wonderful and has great customer service! I definitely plan to come back for future car repairs. Thank you!

Great shop, honest, fair pricing, and fast service. Took my car in because it was not running right. Shop had me take my car back to place that replaced my catalytic converters got those replaced. Brought my car back found the problem, fixed it and even gave me a great deal. I would recommend anyone to go to them for auto repairs because they are honest and will not give you misleading information.

Outstanding customer service. They towed my car from my house and looked at it same day. Very knowledgable with lots of experienced. Very good pricing. Will leave feedback again after one year for an update to see how well the car is doing.

This place was recommended to me by a friend. I had my car towed to them for the mechanic to tell me that I need my transmission rebuilt for $2300. He gave me a story about how well the car ran and how the job would get done right. When I told them that I needed my car to be towed back because I needed time to get more money. The car came back to me unable to start. I called them back about the car not starting and the mechanic said when the tow truck came to pick up the car, it wouldn't start and that no one did anything to it. I didn't send the car to them because it wouldn't start, all I needed was transmission work. The car was still driveable. Now, I have to spend money fixing whatever they sabotaged on my car, then get the transmission repaired. Even the tow truck driver said that he didn't care for this shop.

Took my car in to get the transmission replaced and got a really good deal and fast service. It has been running strong for the past 9 months and still feels good as new. I will continue to bring my cars back to this place for anything needed.

If I could give them no or negative stars, I would. We were referred here for transmission work and had high hopes. We were told the transmission would need to be rebuilt. We trusted them. $3300 later, we move back home up north, more troubles with the transmission arise, and we go to a trusted family mechanic.....and we find out the transmission was rebuilt with junkyard parts, parts that dont even belong in my husband's vehicle, all while damaging other components in the vehicle. If I had the finances to sue them, we'd be in court already. DO NOT TRUST YOUR VEHICLE THERE!!!!!

I will recomend highly to anyone. I bought a car when I got devorced and if it wasn't for Adam I would have lost all hope. Bought a lemon. Transmission and other issues. I was in my car and on a new path of life in no time. God bless him and his family.

The first time i came here to American car care I have had terrible experience from other workshops who wants to reap you off but I came here and they were really honest and did what they did and that was it I never had the same peoblems with my car,even though I stay far from there workshop I really dont care about the distance ,because I know they will give me what I want,so if u want to bring your car believe you me you are in a good hand,they are very reliable,just leave your car with them and go relax because they will take car of your car,for me they are the best,and there customer service is perfect with the on and off receptionist.

Had something dragging under my car on the interstate, pulled off and into these guys. They took care of me for free, within 5 minutes. Good people.
