Guys are great .Pricing is quite hefty. They do use scare tactics unfortunately. Use cheap parts( Owner standard to maximize profit) but tell you they uses in-between. Say they could have charged you this and that which they did they just hid it in other numbersInner and outer tie rods both side. Cheapest CARQUEST part inner and outer together which one just screws into the other. 82.48 each side for material from advance auto they charge 384.25 per side to put in plus the 82.48. Real cost they charged 384.25 a hour Just to install inner and outer tie rod.I personally think they tried to nickel and dime me cause i have a nice truck they had so much wiggle room and still charge me convince fees ,shop fees ,extra labor hours.Great workers but office will try and upcharge you so be mindful then pretend like they could have charged you for this and that when they already secretly did u just don't notice but they know

Made a appointment on a Friday and dropped off my car for check up. They didn t get to it and didn t let me know they are closed over the weekend. Thanks for nothing but waisting my time.

Honest, skilled, and efficient mechanics.Our company trusts American Alignment to service our vehicle fleet and they have been very helpful in keeping our trucks on the road. Since my experience with American Alignment with my work vehicle, I have used them to service my personal vehicle as well.Would recommend.

Took my truck in for an Easy strut replacement, turned out to be a whole ordeal. Very professional, kept me in the loop the whole time, weighed out all my options! On two occasions, I've received some very good service from American Alignment! I unfortunately was unable to hold on to my 12 year-old Chrysler, but it was their expert advice that kept me from putting more of my hard-earned money into my aging car.The honesty on thier mechanic's part really helped me make the best decision, and I appreciated then entire staff for being more concerned with my interests over making a profit! I will highly recommend this business to others!

Extremely courteous & timely establishment! I love that they accept appointments and uphold them. This is an example of wonderful customer service! My inspection took minutes! I will be sure to return for any additional automotive needs!

I've been to this location three times. Two inspections, both of which went quickly, timely, and professionally. Never had a moments concern that they were going to say anything even remotely untrue for an extra buck. The last was to replace an expensive and complicated LCD light in the tail of my car. Super expensive part they managed to find for a reasonable price. Bless them for looking.All in all, this is the sort of place you don't expect to see in a population center this big. You can walk in, pantomime some noises, and have a mechanic at least look at it right away, though you might have to wait for actual work if they're busy. From what I've seen, if you come with some regularity and trust them with your car, they will repay that trust with honest, reliable service and kind customer service.May they never change ownership.

Love this place. I think this will be the only place I will ever use while I live in Chesapeake. I know when we 1st moved here we were looking around for a place to get our cars inspected and these guys were amazing. One thing that I really love is how they allow you to make an appointment so you are not wasting half of your day waiting for your car to get done. They are all really friendly and professional and I probably won't go anywhere else but this place. More places need to do appointments because nobody has time to waste a whole day waiting for their vehicles inspected and not everyone has multiple vehicles and multiple people to drop off vehicles. The fact that they take in to consideration people have better things to do, is amazing. If you are thinking about using this place I suggest you do.

Excellent service!!! Very professional and courteous. This was my first time going to this auto repair shop. I have been up and down Oak Grove road for decades and never noticed this place.I scheduled an appointment on the last day of the month for a State inspection... no waiting; I was in and out in 20 minutes. This place is the best kept secret!!! Very thorough inspection and they do just about everything in auto repair. I highly recommend them for all your auto repair services. I will definitely be back and will tell everyone I know about them.

Super amazing. Had to get a wheel bearing replaced while I worked. Dropped my car off in the morning and they were done by the time I finished work in the afternoon. Called me and explained everything, answered my questions. I have a hard time trusting shops with my car, but this place went above and beyond. I will gladly drive from North Carolina to this shop for any future needs.

Charles and his crew are amazing! They do business the old-school way, with honesty and integrity. They are efficient, use quality products, and keep you informed. Being a single mother getting her car fixed USED to be intimidating, but not so after I found these guys. They fixed my daughter's car (Hyundai) and my truck (F150), so they have a highly knowledgeable crew. I definitely recommend them!

Amazing service !My truck broke down and was not drivable, had it towed into the shop midday and by later afternoon it was ready to go. Service was professional, timely and affordable. TERRIBLE Experience. .. they diagnosed the problem as one thing it took a week to repair. As soon as we got the car (paid several hundred dollars) drove the car down Battlefield and got as far as the Auto Zone less than 5 miles a way on the same day and the car was shaking and vibrating something it never They hooked it up and said it was a cylinder 2 mis-fire. We waited until Morning and took it right back. They then said it was something else. They kept it for another week. We begged them for a status....Nothing. We had to rent a car because we had things to do to get around. The car Sat there all weekend I have video proof. ONLY to be told that it would be another $650.00. No apology NO Consideration Nothing from them. I'm so very sad they would do that especially since We referred people to them and used them in the past. I wouldn't recommend them again to anyone. They did not treat us well as customers. They did not fix the car right the first time. They misdiagnosed the problem and would not apologize or give any consideration for our situation.

I was hopeful to have found a good place to take my explore for work when needed. But, When i am told to be there on new years day 3 different times at 8 am to get there and wait for 30 min. to nothing. Then going the next day to have work done and to get my re- inspection. I was told 1 and half hours maybe 2. and 4 and half hours later it is ready. The charge on the bill is for 1.4 hours. The time quoted before i got there. So that is not a discount. Even with the alignment at 45 mins. to an hour. That is only 2 .5 hours NOT 4.5 hours. When speaking to the lady at the front about the day before and the wait today Jan. 2. All i got was they was waiting on parts. There was not i am sorry for yesterday or any update for why it took so long today. I get it was a parts issue that advance gave the wrong part. NO I AM SORRY for wasting you time to come to a closed shop or sorry for the wait time today. It was recorded so there would be "i did say i was sorry ". No offer to discount my bill for making me come to a closed shop and wasting my time. NOTHING. Just when i think i found a good place to do business with i get nothing but excuses. I was wanting to tell so many people about this place and now i tell them what happened and i will not tell them to go here because of the way i was treated with not regard to my time that they wasted. Honesty means more then discounts but can not seem to find that anymore. I had other things to do today and could not do them because of their lack of respect for people that they need to keep them in business. Even though me not going back or referring others many not run them out of business. But maybe this will make them think on how to treat people if they want returning paying customers.

This shop is so helpful, they truly give great customer service and auto work. They work fast and their prices are honest. The towing company they work with as fantastic as well. Really appreciate them and happy do you have an auto shop I can trust

I look for locally owned mom and pop shops everywhere I go. I came here and got exaggeration and lies. To clarify I was told "it's so rusty under there my hand went right through it", referring to the rocker panel. I was under said none existent rust hole personally 2 weeks ago. Because of this obvious lie I will recommend not using this establishment for any service.

I've been looking for a shop since moving to Chesapeake. After one visit here, I know this is the place. This is an honest, hard working shop. You can tell they want to earn long term customers, rather than try to gauge you on the one visit. Definitely recommend.

We were quoted one price for a repair and the price doubled! The work that needed to be done was not a mystery and so the price should have been straight forward. I was also told that the vehicle would be done one day and was not even given a phone call the day it was promised. Will not do business here again!
