I stopped in late yesterday (10/4) hoping to have someone look at my broken door handle, maybe give me an estimate. Oh no, not only was he extremly courteous, he followed me to my car & proceeded to FIX the issue! I am so grateful, I can now cancel the appointment with the dealer (sch'd for 11/10)! We've brought several vehicles here & always have the best service. We will continue to bring all our vehicles here & highly recommend them to everyone. Regards, Debbie Osmundson

Love AAA! Have been using AAA Car Care for many years. Mechanics are awesome, friendly and willing to explain and answer questions. All staff are friendly, helpful and work with you on getting your vehicle fixed and back on the road as soon as possible. They also give a 24 month guarantee on the automotive work. When we last moved one of the must haves was to be near AAA as we have an older vehicle and depend on our AAA Car Care Center to keep us road worthy. Thank you AAA Staff, you are the best!

Outstanding quality car care service. Took a chance and walked in with my grinding brakes. AAA was able to inspect, assess, and replace my rear brakes all before lunchtime! Very clean, safe, and honest establishment. No wonder the phone can't stop ringing! Awesome member discounts. Professional staff that will explain the work and show you what they did. Will always return.

Called the day prior bringing my vehicle to this shop. Rear window slipped into open position which needed repair. Told me to come in or leave overnight. Explained this was our only source of transportation. He told me to come in first thing in the morning and they will work with me......and that they did. I certainly made those arrangements to get there in the A.M. and I'll tell you why. I dropped off my husband three hours early to work and proceeded to this facility. Not knowing how long this would take, we made the decision to drop him off at work before coming here, that way he could open up our business in time and not leave to chance of not opening our business in time, should we were running late leaving here, and as it were, I left here a half hour early before having to open up our shop and made it in good time (and was even able to get some breakfast!). Kyle and Daniel worked very well together, a comradery in the works, took care of a barrage of customers that came through their doors first thing in the morning, and handled themselves and their business outfit, namely AAA Car Care Center in Chesapeake, in a professional and caring manner, which is a dying trend in so many places. The price quoted me was half of what I have paid in the past. I tell ya, I cringed when I was given the task of having to call around to get a price to have this done, until I called here and they told me their price. Unbelievable!! Thank you Kyle and Daniel for making my stressful day a more peaceful pleasant one.....And that is why I made that decision to come here for my car repair. Just sayin!Service: Auto power window repair

My daughter needs an oil change and a wheel stud replaced. They had it done in just a few hours for a reasonable price.

The value of having a AAA card has degraded over the years. At first, the care centers offered free state inspections for being a AAA member. Then, a little while ago they changed it to half price. When they offered free state inspections I thought it was worth the price of being a member. I soon found out that there are many other ways to receive roadside assistance these days (credit cards, auto insurance etc.) and discounts for travel. There are numerous websites that provide travel discounts nowadays also.AAA isn't as necessary as it used to be so for that reason I decided to cancel my membership. Along with cancelling my membership went the discounted state inspections which wasn't a huge loss.My experiences with this care center have been fine with the exception of one time. They had not passed my car once because of foggy headlights. Now this wasn't the problem. The problem was that they wanted to charge me something around $170! So I kindly declined and purchased a kit for $14 on Amazon which did the job. I know that labor would have been additional but $170?? I just thought that the price of the work seemed exorbitant.

I called to make an appointment. The young lady that answered the phone told me they do not make appts . I told her we needed a inspection and oil change. She said they take first come first serve. She told me to come on Wednesday morning at 8 am. We arrived at 7:30 am waited and the manager arrive at 8:00 am we went in told him what we needed and what the lady told us. He said he could not take us today and he pointed to some paper work and told us that he all of this to do today. There was customer that arrived after us for his motorcycle to be inspected.

I went here for a simple oil change and inspection. There were 4 cars ahead of me they claim. 6 hours later I get a call that my car needs 900 dollars worth of fraudulent repairs and they lost a piece to one of my hubcaps and it fell off!! I only went here because it was close to home. I definitely will take the extra trip to have my car serviced by the people I've trusted for years. I will never come here again!!Service: Oil change

The office staff are so friendly and accommodating. The mechanics are obviously very capable since I've never had any issues with any repairs done at the facility. Being a AAA member provides some very nice discounts. I would recommend this business.

Way too expensive repairs. I had my car serviced here twice. I had some problems with their warranty. They just honored the alignment warranty. Last problem I was dealing with, I was expecting them to contact me after I spoke to their vice president. They never called me to see what they could do about the situation. I would suggest you look elsewhere, even if they perform a good job some times, it is still ridiculously expensive, where you can have the same job and better quality for a much lower price somewhere else. This is AAA's worst part of offered services.

My car was smoking from the hood. AAA Auto found the problem quicky. My car is a 2007 Toyota Highlander with 128,000 miles. They checked it out thoroughly and found other issues I was unaware of. They fixed the issues quickly. I left feeling confident and satisfied. Thank you AAA Auto repair!

Went for a diagnostic test of my friend's AC. So that we could figure out what was wrong with his compressor and clutch. When we looked under the hood to see if there was any dye (which is usually used to check for leaks). We figured out that his radiator fans were no longer working. We also came to find out that the mechanic had used a razor blade to cut the wiring harness (for some unforeseen reason) and left his razor blade in the engine bay sitting on the engine. The only decent part about this visit was that the lady in the front was very polite. I DO NOT recommend this place whatsoever.

Refused to standby repair warranty. Had part replaced a few weeks later my car had the same issue. They claim it's not the part they repaired to fault. They say there is nothing they can do for me and to take it to dealership. Save your money and time and stay away from this shop.

We recently had trouble with our truck. AAA thought they fixed the problem but it was actually a different part that needed replacing. After a few phone calls and conversations, they finally realized the issue and eventually took care of it with no extra charge. Allen was helpful in relaying the information to the manager.

On August 11 our car broke down on the way to to the Outer Banks close to this Car Care Center. We were towed by AAA to the Center. We knew something was really wrong with our car. The woman at the service desk was so helpful and kind. They looked at the car quickly and let us know the car needed to go to the Hyundai dealership because the problem would probably be covered under warranty. They helped us find a dealership nearby and we had it towed there. We got a rental car company to come pick us up so we could continue on our trip. They didn't mind getting the keys to the tow truck workers when they arrived so we could go ahead and leave when the rental car people arrived to pick us. She was great in explaining the problem and the seriousness of what happened with our car. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and patience with a stressful situation.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!To pass inspection....AAA REPAIR COST : $1,897.95Actual repairs needed : $17.00Hose and bulb replacement (25 minutes and 2 screwdrivers +/-). I could have actually cut the cracked part of the hose off and reconnected, but replaced because it's a few dollars and 10 minutes.I will NEVER use their services again. After failing an "inspection" and reviewing the costs I thought I would share....They attempted to charge me for things that are in working order and more than added a "0" to the cost of one items actual cost and even more on others. They did my last inspection with "extra" charges I never questioned . FYI, I put maybe 50 miles, yes 50 miles on the truck all year. I get a charge for a task as I am a contractor, but this robbery! Shame on you AAA!!!Parts only:1 - check valve hose (visibly failed - dry rot)AAA=$315 vs. Autozone= $9 (5' vacuum hose)2 - check valve (working order not failing)AAA=$205 vs. Autozone =$153 - exhaust manifold (working order/no leaks)AAA=$305 vs. Autozone =$185Labor only:1 - check valve hose (visibly failed - dry rot)AAA=$285 (disconnect 2 hose clamps - EASY access)2 - check valve (working order)AAA=$90 (1 nut off and on - EASY access)3 - exhaust manifold (working order/no leaks)AAA=$305 vs. Autozone =$3894 - reverse light diagnostic (NOT parts/repair)(blown bulb - 2 for $8)AAA - $655 - defrost diagnostic (NOT parts/repair)(inspection report they placed on dash blew off when I turned on defrost)AAA=$129

Firestone and the dealer said it would cost in the upwards of $2500 to fix my car. AAA did it for $340. AMAZING! The staff is always very professional and kind.

Paid over $500 for new tires and alignement. $90 alignment was not done. Called and took it back in and had another one done no problem but they definitely tried to pull a fast one. No good! Will not be returning business!

On a Monday I needed one tire checked for a leak and plug if needed. I was told it could not be done until that following Wednesday.....but there were 3 garage employees just standing outside of the bay....just laughing and talking...oh and it was not even close to closing time....

If you can avoid it I wouldn't take your/my car here for inspection (in my opinion).. They failed not only my husband's car but other people I know. They broke something on his car and wouldn't take responsibility to replace it for him. He asked to speak with the mechanic who inspected his car (that same day), but they wouldn't allow it. So now we have to pay for a part that they broke during a routine inspection. Never coming here again, and we know other people who aren't either.

This place makes you want to pay for problems that aren't there. I took my car in for a state inspection, and despite having some work done on my car a few days ago, they flunked me for lack of "hotspots" on my headlights, bad rear drums, and the seat belt coming apart. I got a second opinion at the place I had my car worked at, and they agreed they were scamming me to pay for more services than I needed to. Never take your car for a state inspection here, or for any kind of service! They'd flunk your car just for not having enough padding in your seat I bet!

Had an alternator replaced last Thanksgiving by AAA in Cincinnati, OH. Alternator went out again July 3rd. This time I was at this location. I did not receive a call when my vehicle was ready. I stopped in to check again on July 6th and found the vehicle was finished before close on July 5th. Therefore I had had to rent a vehicle for an additional day. I began my journey home and found I was losing power steering fluid. I checked & found they had split the non-pressure, return, hose from the power steering pump. I then went to AutoZone and spent about an hour replacing the hose in the parking lot in 80+ degrees in the sun over a hot engine. Hmmmm, on the positive note, they were polite here and that's why I'm putting three stars instead of two. Now to check everything else they did.

Man these guys are the best. My membership fee covered Towing and on top of that they waive the diagnostic because I guess they felt sorry for me? I don't know whatever the case I highly recommend their service center and I highly recommend getting AAA

This shop is tops since being managed by Clark and Chris. I was broke down 500 miles from my home. They gave me top priority and got me running again in record time. The shop mechanics were superior and electrician Adam was a blessing to the crew and myself. He was knowledgeable and professional and completed the repairs in record time. His abilities could not be matched.Since hotel bills, rental cars and subsistence were eating me up daily. Thanks to Clark I was able to deliver my son to his ship waiting in Norfolk harbor.I will be upgrading and renewing my membership immediately. Thanks AAA. I can depend on you.Terry Sherman

Got my oil changed and tires rotated. Friendly and honest employees! They had free coffee, tea, hot chocolate while you wait. I barely waited 30 minutes. I will be back.
