I entered the shop with minimal expectations, cautiously guarded due to past experiences. My work-used car bears the marks of its labor, showing signs of wear and tear. My sole purpose was to purchase a couple of tires, expecting the usual pressure from shop owners to buy more than necessary and the accompanying guilt-trip for my current situation. However, I was pleasantly surprised to encounter a team of professionals who treated me with respect and understanding. The service provided was exceptional.

I was warned not to go there. But gave it a shot anyway. They wanted to charge me $700 for 2 new tires because they said they couldn t plug the hole in my one tire. I took it somewhere else and they plugged it no problem. Avoid this business and go somewhere honest.

DO NOT COME HERE FOR A BRAKE INSPECTION!! I recently had my oil change done at another auto facility and it was perfectly fine then came here for a brake inspection. They then called me saying I had no oil in my car which means they drained it after saying they didn t touch it. Now I have to get another oil change thanks to them.

If you have a young daughter, stay away from them people they are crooks and rip off . Please stay away. The window Tint, been on the car for three years they find a way to make money if you are female then when she called back and asked, can you cut the part where the blocking the brake light they say no they got to take the whole thing off no that s a rip off $120 I don t care what people y all rip off people cause I call a couple people said no that been on that car three years and been to different places to get inspected including couple of times it was just a money grab you didn t need to take the whole thing off but it s OK. She knows better next time never go to y all rip off place.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.This auto body shop is an absolute rip-off! They not only try to gouge you with exorbitant charges but also deliberately failed my vehicle during state inspections for no reason at all. Took my car elsewhere, and surprise, it passed immediately. This place is a total scam, taking advantage of people who trust them. Save yourself time and money and go literally anywhere else.

Thanks to University Tire for the prompt attention to my problem - a flat tire that I hoped could quickly be repaired or replaced, even though it was late in the day when I arrived. The manager explained that his Technicians were busy, but he took the damaged tire, found the hole, plugged it and put it on the car, taking off the spare and replacing it into the storage. When I asked "how much?", he kindly said, "No Charge!". Will I go back to University Tire? Will I recommend them to my friends? You can bet on it!

STOLEN CAR.My car was towed at their lot after it broke down. After it was sitting there for quite some time, I went to retrieve it only to find out it s been stolen. When I asked them about it to get more details, they said they don t know and that they noticed it was gone. The shady part is when I asked them for the copy of my car key, they said they don t know where it is and couldn t locate it. They were very suspicious and acted like nothing ever happened.I would highly discourage anyone from doing business with them.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Chuck, Melton of University Tire and Auto centers at the Seminole square location who is competent, professional, and goes the extra mile to make sure that your treated well and quickly. The experience was so pleasant that I decided to replace all of the Tires on two of my cars.

Cameron and crew saved the day for me when my tire blew out 200 miles from home. They were fast, helpful, and friendly, and they made sure I was back on the road so I could get home safely. Thank you! You all are the best!

Went for a state inspection of coarse a list of things they want to do. Said needed head lights restored to pass. they said on the phone would be about $20 but then charged over $150 in labor for headlight restoring (which dont look any different) and state inspection. Won't go back. Should be more clear on the cost.

I have been going to University Tire and Auto located at 200 Seminole Ct, Charlottesville, VA 22901 for about 2 years now. The staff is friendly, courteous, always explain everything to you prior to doing work. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else. I am very pleased with the service I have always gotten and will continue to go there.

Dishonest and sketchy. Paid for new tpms sensors. Found out from a more reputable shop that University Tire and Auto just put new stems on my factory sensors. Invoice indicted new sensors were installed and programmed... Front desk guy also conveniently forgets to include the labor charge until after you ok the repair. Would not recommend. Steer clear. They have the cheapest tires for a reason.

They only get two stars because the one person I actually interacted with was polite. They took my car on Tuesday to get a check up and told me they d call on Wednesday. On Thursday, I called them to see what was up, and they said they would call me right back. They never did. I came in on Friday to get the car because, as I had told them, I was leaving for a big trip on Friday. Never spoke to a mechanic. The man at the front desk gave me a paper claiming that every possible component of my car needed repairs and charged me $150 just for looking at it. Really bad experience. Wouldn t recommend.

Car was towed to this shop by AAA. The positive is that they performed a break job quickly. Car was dropped off the night before and was completed by 12 the next day. The negative is that their prices are extremely unreasonable compared to quotes I received from other companies. They were unwilling to budge on the price but I was stuck because the alternative was to pay to tow the car to another shop. Many reviews on line talk about them saying brakes were needed but when customers took the car for a second opinion the brakes were fine. I m not even confident that what I was charged for was needed. I feel ripped off but did get the car back on the road quickly.

I got an oil change on my car today. I spoke with Rob up front and he did a great job getting my car in and worked on right away. The staff are extremely friendly and highly recommend this shop as they always do a great job working on my car.

Took my car there for a Sate Inspection. They tried to charge me over a grand for unnecessary repairs, some of which I knew for sure were phony because they were trying to replace things I'd gotten replaced at Jiffy Lube a couple weeks earlier. Told them only to do what they needed to to pass inspection. When I get there to pay there was a $100 repair they tried to charge me for that I didn't ask for and they didn't do. When I pointed it out they said they "forgot" to remove the charge. Ended up getting out of there avoiding most of their phony charges, but did end up needing them to replace my windshield wipers which they charged 56 dollars for! They are scammers, avoid at all costs!

Totally useless.Dropped off my vehicle for a state inspection. Appointment was at 8:00 AM and I arrived at 7:45. One positive was customer service rep recognized the vehicle was due for an oil change and offered to complete that as well. I was informed the vehicle would be ready about 5:00 PM that evening. When 5:30 arrived and I had not hear from them (they close at 6:00 PM) I phoned to see if the vehicle was ready for pickup. It was not. No work had been done and I was still three cars down the line for the inspection. As I needed the vehicle that evening I'm thankful to have called, otherwise they would have closed without informing me that it was not ready and I would not have had my vehicle. To further emphasize the poor level of service at this location, my vehicle's door was not locked when I retrieved it from the parking lot. Presumably it had sat like this all day.Cannot recommend not using this establishment emphatically enough.

Great customer service at UT! Cameron and Craig were so helpful and explained each part of the process and repair thoroughly. Left with a brand new set of tires at a great price! Highly recommend this business! Trustworthy, fast, affordable, prompt and friendly! 5 out of 5 stars!

I don't think they deserve even one star! If I was able to select 0 that's what I would give this place.Had my car inspected there a week ago and got on the interstate for the first time today. Shaking at increased speed and found that lug nuts on passenger side tires were loose. Called to ask if car could be brought to them to check all the tires and was told I could drop it off and leave it with them the next morning. Said they were short of staff so they would try to get me in and out in a couple hours but couldn't make any promises.Highly unprofessional, their work can not be trusted. This could have been a dangerous situation and they just brushed it off.

I recently took a newly purchased used car to University Tire (at Seminole near Marshalls) to get it inspected, an oil change and few other things checked out, the service I received was above and beyond. The Manager and employees were knowledgeable and pleasant and this is not always the case at other auto shops. As expensive as everything is today I wouldn't hesitate taking both my cars there again.

Polite staff. Great and quick service. Reasonably priced. Managed to get an appointment for the next day. Even noticed I was running low on washer fluid and topped it up for me at no extra cost. 100% recommend.

Have had consistently bad customer service experience here. For example: telling me they'll call when vehicle is ready to pick up and then buy doing so, staff being confused about what I need help with (new tires - you'd think this would be their area of expertise), having to bring the vehicle back because of a tire pressure light coming on after they changed the tires because they didn't recalibrate the car computer with the new tire pressure after replacing the tires (and again, being confused when I came in for this.)Will definitely avoid in the future. The shuttle driver was really friendly. The rest of the staff seem ill equipped to do their jobs, including things that should be within their core competencies.

I always go to university tire when I need work done. Rarely do I use other shops UNLESS they are too busy to fit me in. Management and staff are normally very friendly, down to earth and explain any work needed and costs before hand.

I booked an appointment about 2 weeks prior, and asked for an oil change and a state inspection. Idropped my car off the morning of the appointment and they said they would call me. By four o clock, I didn t hear anything so I called them and was checking on my car. They said the oil change was finished and they were still waiting on the inspection, and they d call me in 15 minutes. I decided to go down there around 5:30pm right before they closed. They said they couldn t get the inspection done and they asked me if I still wanted to get my oil changed, even though he told me it was already taken care of. They did my oil change while I was there, and I had to wait in the lobby until that was finished.I know that these types of shops get busy and I understand being short staffed, but I wish I was told earlier in the day if they couldn t have completed all of the tasks I booked for.Everyone was really nice though.

I drive a Mercedes Benz and was needing an oil change anyway. The dealership was going to charge me $190 just to change the oil, so I started looking for a less expensive place. Then disaster struck; I had a flat while at Trader Joe's! Trader Joe's let me leave the car over night and after putting the spare tire on, I limped across the street to University Tire and Auto the next day. University Tire not only replaced the tire, but they also changed the oil for $100 less than Mercedes! Everything was done according to spec and they treated me quite well. They even drove me home, as I had to leave the car overnight. From now on I will look to University Tire and Auto for all routine service work.

I was worried about leaving my car here based on previous reviews, but I didn't have any issues, on the contrary! Came in at 9 am for a state inspection appointment, they called me early afternoon to say it was done and I had my car back by ~2 pm! I hadn't expected to leave my car though (thought I would be in and out), BUT turns out I also went to the wrong location and didn't actually have an appointment with them, SO I'm very grateful they actually fit me in and finished before 5!
