Republic Services replaced GFL for dumpster service at a condominium association I manage. Leah did a great job getting us a competitive rate and she has been a pleasure to work with. Republic did an excellent job with the transition and their service has been good and consistent.

The worst customer service experience I have ever had. Please read before using this service.Short Version:Small business owner on auto-pay incurs large bill after contract expires. Offered no recourse but to agree to higher contract or pay large bill for two more months. In addition, local nor Corporate office would remove their dumpsters from my property even if paid.Detail Version:I purchased my apartments 3 years ago and inherited this service. On auto-pay and one day received email bill had not been paid. My auto-payment max had been exceed by a 50% bill increase. CS told me this was because my contract had expired and now was on the 'open-market'. I was willing to sign a new contract and return to my normal pricing. Since I auto-pay $240/m for a commercial service, I asked they allow me to pay my normal $240/m for that month instead of the $310 bill. This was denied (problem #1). Decided I would pay the $310 and asked for new contract but noticed the new contract price was higher than before. I decided to look around and found two competitors charging a little over $100 less than my old bill. (problem #2) Interestingly when both services found out I was with Republic Services they assured me 'you won't have to worry about those additional fee's' with us.'Because I was already out of the contract with Republic Services, I agreed to begin with one of the other services. When I told Republic Services I decided not to sign the contract they sent me and that they could pick up their dumpster, I was told I WAS still under contract and would have to write them a letter of 60-days notice and pay out of market price until then. ($620 additional) (problem #3) I asked 'how is it my contract is expired ($310 charge) yet I am still under contract and needing to send a 60 day notice? (problem #3) The local Customer service could not answer that and referred me to my account manager, Paul B. He too stated I needed a 60-day written termination by certified mail to end my contract. I reminded Paul my contract had already ended hence why Republic charged me a price outside of our contract agreement ($310) and sent me a new contract with new terms. I also told him CS had confirmed this as well when I called in. He responded vaguely saying that in one way my contract was expired but in another it was still active? (problem #$4). He then decided to say to me that his companies customer service 'were like your cousins kids who drop out of school and get on crack' (?) (I can't make this up). I simply listened and made notes. Getting the sense of how this local office may be, I reasoned it may be best I pay the $600+ for the additional two months to be done with the company. However, when I asked if they could go ahead and remove the dumpster so two dumpsters are not sitting in front of my apartments, I was indicated to me that may not happen either. (problem#5)I decided to call corporate. Initially customer service would direct me back to my local office until I asked for their managers. I spoke with two mangers and even the managers manager. In all three instances, they listened, promised to get back to me (two even promised that day) yet, after a month and a half, the $600 plus bill and both dumpsters sitting in front of my apartments, I still have not heard from anything from anyone.(problem #7)I have had bad customer service before but thought this was an exception and felt I should write. I hate the money I feel I will ultimately lose with this company, the hours I have spent with customer service and even the hours it has taken me to write here and the BBB. I know, when dealing with a company as large as this, its not uncommon to run into bad customer service, and even some very different personalities who do not accurately represent the culture of the company. However, for me, a well-paying small business owner, to experience such a response at both the local and corporate level - I felt I should at least make it know here for anyone who could benefit seeing as the company has not been willing to help me.Service: Junk removal

Where to start?! Dealing with this company has been a challenge from the start. I can never get call backs, the rates are pricey, the sales reps are communicative in the beginning when they are signing you up but then it takes mass chasing down to speak with anyone about my account - needless to say, I've cancelled my service and am now using a local service who I have referred several friends and businesses to. In fact, my place of employment and my spouse's cancelled service with Republic and went with the local guy - best decision we made to avoid the headaches we were dealing with from Republic.

What a terrible service!! Republic made a mistake and delivery a dumpster to our private property/business that was never supposed to be here. People have then used it unknowingly to us so of course bears have gotten into it, spreading trash all around our property on a regular basis. We have called at least 10 times to come get it or at least service it with no resolution!!! They tell us dates they are coming, reference numbers to check and nothing. This has been going on for over a year now and It s completely ridiculous, showing very poor customer service!!

Awful. Called to sign up and immediately changed my mind and cancelled. They sent a can anyway and a bill for service I never had and then twice didn't fix their mistake when I called and eventually sent the bill to a collections agency!

They literally ran me off the road with a garbage truck right in front of their entrence way. I had to drive into the grass and up on the sidewalk to avoid being crushed.Went inside and complained to the boss, he yelled and swore at ME.They are rude, uncivilized, and downright dangerous.They are also the first place I've ever seen with 100% one star reviews. That's embarrassing.

Awful customer service. Never picked up trash on time. Got to call every month and they say they came, where they didnt. Stay away save your time and money for better services that are out there.

Their mechanical arm on the dump truck tore the trash can so all future loads got stuck and not emptied. When we replaced the trash can ourselves they took that trash can and wouldn't give it back. Find another service to use, these guys are garbage!

HORRIBLE Service!! Don't pick up trash for weeks at a time. When you call to report a problem you are put on hold and no one ever picks up call. Website also does not work when you try to submit a problem report.NOT REPUTABLE! Look elsewhere!
