This place was very insightful. They were able to give me a solid and fair quote for what was originally needing to be fixed. When they found a big risk, I was able to get a call from them and work through what was wrong and still get it fixed. They put in solid work and did it right the first time. I will for sure be recommending anyone that I know to come here for car services.Services: Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Our car would not start & we chose to tow it to Minter s Auto Repair based on prior reviews. I m so glad we did!! Jimmy was phenomenal! He was professional, friendly, forthcoming, and promptly serviced our car the same day! THANK YOU for the exceptional customer service!

I had my car towed to Minter's Auto, based on google reviews, when it broke down driving near Charlottesville. The owner Jimmy was professional, began working on my vehicle immediately, and charged a very fair amount for his work. He had several opportunities to take advantage, but showed tremendous integrity even with my being from out of town.Super impressed with this shop. Don't let the curb appeal turn you away :).Service: General repairs & maintenance

Had a great experience. They were able to find an aftermarket part for my car and were very conscientious in making sure that the correct part was ordered. When the part arrived, I was contacted to bring my car in for repair. The repair was made and completed on the same day that the appointment was confirmed. I would recommend them and will bring my car back for service/repair. The business is located behind Yellow Cab.

I ve been a returning customer for couple of years now and I can tell you that Minters is the best in town. Amazing service and great prices. They went above and beyond helping me to pass the state inspection and fixing all the problems I had with my car. They even inspected the car for me and offered a ride to and from home. Jimmy found some other small issues with the car and fixed it free of charge. Really hones and great team. I can t be more happy with them. It s so hard to find a good mechanic that know what his doing and is not trying to rip you off. I wish this business great success in the future and many more customers. Thank you for your help.

Jimmy was able to get my car's heater & defrost working again in a timely and efficient manner at a reasonable cost. Thanks, Minters Auto Repair. I would highly recommend them!

We had a breakdown and they were the closest repair center. Wow are we lucky we came here. Ed and his people were the nicest people we ve ever met at an auto repair center. Not only did they help us right away with our repairs but they went far over and above to help us. They were also more than fair with price. We will be bringing all our repairs here from now on. Highly recommend! They replaced the intake manifold on my Crown Vic quick and in reasonable budget. Jimmy Mintner, Kenny and the guys are honest, fair and skilled. I've never had a problem with them. They are also very accommodating. When I haven't been able to leave my vehicle, they worked things around so I could wait for it. I have recommended them to others who have also been very satisfied.

Had an emergency breakdown around the Holidays and I am glad we came across Minter's. The guys were amazingly friendly and accommodating. We were traveling with two dogs, luggage, and bags of Christmas gifts. They allowed us to use their office space as storage for our things while we sorted out another ride. Even with the Holiday, repair work was done quickly and at a fair price. For being in a pinch, we really lucked out in finding Minter's. I highly recommend!

Absolutely love Minters, I bought a car that's known to be a transmission nightmare, because I loved it. I've only ever brought my car to Minters, bc they used to be solely a transmission shop. They've always been extremely honest, and very pleasant to work with over the past 4 years. I don't trust any mechanics except for these guys and Agron over at A-1 Auto. I always recommend them on FB bc you really don't find a lot of honest mechanics anymore. They're also fair priced, and let you bring your own parts. I honestly don't know what I'd do without them.

We were camping in Charlottesville when my car battery died. The battery is located in a difficult spot under the hood, so Advanced Auto and Jiffy Lube couldn t fix it. We came to Minter s on a whim that they might be open, and Dunkin happened to be there despite the shop being closed. He was more than happy to help us and install the new battery. His price was more than fair and we couldn t have gotten luckier finding this great place!

These guys completed two reasonably priced mid-level repairs on my older Mazda pickup in 2015. They scheduled an appointment quickly and finished the job within 48 hours both times. Kenny was responsive and communicated often as the repairs were made. The no-frills appearance and location is reassurance that I'm not paying for marketing, uniforms, overhead, or a view of W. Main St. in addition to repairs on my vehicle.

Duncan does amazing work. I call him my Nico's doctor. I always trust him with my G8. He lets me know exactly what's wrong with it and is always helpful.

its the only place we take our car. we all pretty much grew up in belmont and we keep our business there. no worries of overcharging or making up problems. we trust them and that means alot!

For older cars! You're better off going to a dealer.Take you r car to a dealer once and get your car fixed. Take your car here and become a repeat customer!
