Anthony here at Jiffy Lube 240 Pantops center, Charlottesville, VA took such good care of my car. So nice and knowledgeable! Also, I sat in a very nice waiting area.

You get what you pay for, in the old sayings of time. You can have service that s either cheap and fast, but the quality won t be great. You can have service that is fast and high quality, but it won t be cheap. Or you can have service that is high quality and cheap but it won t be fast.This service location provides excellent service with good knowledge at fair prices to the customer. Most services can be done relatively quickly I.e. oil changes. Some individuals leave poor reviews because they get stuck in line waiting a while for an oil change.Not many individuals realize this company does their service work on first come first serve basis. So if you get stuck in line behind someone like me who has literally every oil and fluid changed on their vehicle. You re going to be waiting a while because I m not getting just an oil change. I m getting the oil and fluids changed on a front and rear differential, possible a transmission flush, radiator flush, a regular oil change too, axles potentially greased, etc etc.This means you that shows up for just a fifteen minute oil change might be waiting for three hours because I requested a lot of work to be done, close to $1000 worth of work to be done, and since I showed up before you I get to go first.Furthermore, customers that complain about the cost of oil changes. Stop it. You look foolish, 5 quarts of oil costs about $30 on the cheap end right now. If you drive a truck you re going to have to replace 15 quarts of oil. That s $90 minimum for oil and these people don t work for free so you have to factor in their labor costs. Plus the insurance. Plus the cost to replace parts used like oil filters as well.My overall rating for them taking care of my 2006 F-250 super duty. 10/10.I know it s sometimes an absolute pain doing work on large diesel trucks and engines so these are great in my opinion.If the shop isn t busy and you re going in for a regular oil change, you will be in and out in probably 20 minutes.Having been a maintenance technician on diesel equipment in the past, I understand that the technicians here genuinely appreciate the customers and care about the longevity of their vehicles. More often than not if I ve opted for a service my vehicle doesn t really need, they ll recommend against having it completed to save me time and money. They ll also give you a justification and logical answer/reasoning as to why you shouldn t. Not many people are that honest nowadays and I think that it is a great thing the mechanics here will protect you and your investments in many different ways besides just changing your oil.

Don t get headlights replaced OR drop your car off.My experience January 2024: I called and asked if they do headlight replacements. They said they did.I came by and stood by the front counter for a long time employees kept walking by saying just one minute until someone helped me 25 mins later. They said they were busy but could get to my car in the afternoon. So I dropped the car off and my wife picked me up.I called back 3 hrs later and they hadn t gotten to it. I called by another 3 hours later and they said they looked and didn t have the headlight bulbs in stock. (They did not proactively call me at any point).I drove back to pick up car and they had left it unlocked with the keys inside in the parking lot.Now, I recognize, my ask may not have been typical. Most customers just want an oil change and stay with their car. But the service i received was embarrassingly poor.My wife loves the Jiffy lube on Berkmar, so I want to give the JL brand the benefit of the doubt. We won t be returning to this location again.

I arrived 45 minutes before they closed. Took my fleet car in, added to their system...got the oil change done. No problems! Staff was very helpful. They could have easily said "NO you'll have to come back tomorrow". Thank you for the service you provided.

I don t know if it is only this location or the chain but I experienced an upsell based on a lie. I will not be returning to this chain for service for my car.

Timely & honest. As simple, yet thorough as an oil change can get. They get you in. Get you out. And along the way they are never pushy with reccomendations, BUT always make sure to check everything thay should be checked routinely, and to let you know your options in an open and honest way.

I had a very good experience here when I had a flat tire. They fixed it for only $19, and much more quickly than I anticipated (the whole thing probably took around half an hour, including wait time). I can't speak to any of their other services.

They lie about what your car needs in order to make more money. The most recent example was saying my brake pads are dangerously low, so I checked and they're totally fine, probably have 10k miles remaining. I won't be going back.

TLDR, they lied to our faces about the condition of our tires. Just go to Peacock or Scott s in Ivy or anywhere else honestly.Came in for an oil change and tire rotation. The tech came in at the end and told me that the oil got done but the tires were so worn that it wasn t even worth rotating them.Problem was, we had literally just bought new tires three months prior and I checked the tread wear before I went in. So they basically lied to our faces about the tires, and I have no idea why. I didn t check how well the oil change went, but I under no circumstances will return to a service station where I get lied to about the condition of my vehicle.Services: Tires, Oil change

A little bit of a wait which isn't really an issue as I didn't have an appointment. The issue that I had was the attempt to up sell. I know what a dirty air filter looks like. Don't try to tell me that a three month old filter, which shows barely any discoloration from dirt, is in need of replacement. The only reason I went there to begin with is that I was overdue for an oil change.Also, my oil was a little low so I need a treatment added?Definitely won't be back.

Dangerously incompetent.Thankfully they accidentally yanked the cabling on my transmission or else I might not have noticed they left the oil plug loose. They of course denied everything but when your car can shift into second before an oil change but now it can't it's hard to miss.I took my car to my normal mechanic in first gear where the oil leaked out.Edit: followed up immediately and the owner eventually gave up on responding. They did nothing to make things right.Service: Oil change

The guys were very friendly, and great to work with. Unfortunately the credit card machine went down during a very busy time which is not their fault at all. But they did a great job at resolving the issue quickly and informing anybody who showed up that they were only taking cash. They handled it very well. All around a great experience.

I will never spend another dime at a jiffy lube Damion hung up on me and I'm not sure but the so call manager on duty tried to lie for him talking about the phone disconnected and it's all on camera well pull them then!!!!! customer service sucks with you two but you won't get my money anymore so no worries can't even answer a simple question lmao so called manager said well that's fine about loosing a customer not for a second did he try to solve a problem you wouldn't care because it's not ur company ur just working for it getting a paycheck like the people you are supposed to be teaching to give great service you Sir failed with me

Went here for an oil change the other day, two service bay lines were busy so I left and came back an hour or two later and just one car in the service bay so they seem to move cars quickly. When I came back and was told it would be about 45 minutes because the mechanic was having trouble with the vehicle in the bay I regretfully agreed to wait instead of going somewhere else. That s the good part now the bad.When the service writer or whatever his title is checked in my car he never checked with me to see if in fact I wanted the same oil change as last time he only asked what I was there for (in a decently polite way).Except for waiting for them to start working on my car I stuck around so I saw my car driven around front but was never told it was ready I just walked inside to pay. This happened the last time I was here when I walked somewhere else in the shopping center and was never contacted once my car was done. They don t even bother putting the sticker on your windshield for when you re due for for your next oil change. They also don t reset the oil life tracker in my car. Last time I had to Google how to do it myself. Not a huge deal the paperwork says the vacuumed my car. Either they used a toy vacuum or didn t do it all because I did it that evening when I got home due to the fact it needed it and I finally had time to do it plus jiffy lube didn t.I had a coupon which is one reason why I went here and I know this location doesn t set their prices and what s included in their services so I don t blame them but I could have gone somewhere closer to work for a synthetic oil change, had more included like a tire rotation and paid less even when the coupon. I would have needed an appointment at the other place which I ll do next time but I didn t need one here which is the other reason I came to jiffy lube.Service: Oil change

It s hard to imagine a better experience. I went in for oil change and tire check-up and they had everything wrapped up in 11 minutes. Excellent customer service top to bottom. Thank you!

Wow so fast! And on a Sunday! We went to the food lion across the street for a couple items and it was all set when I got back. Prices went up recently from what I recall, but great service.

The guys did an awesome job with changing my break pads and rotors and the pricing was great! Dakota made me feel really comfortable talking to him about what's going on with my car and the rest of the guys had an awesome attitude! Would highly recommend

These guys were great they changed my oil and used my oil no hesitation at all. They were really nice about it. I called Pantops first the guy that answered was not very accommodating at first. He wanted me to drive there and then tell me if my filter was available instead of checking. I did get him to check but also decided to go to 29. I m glad I did!!!! I think I will continue to go here!

Staff was unable to change the oil filter because it was allegedly over-tightened by a previous oil change at a different auto repair shop. The old oil had already been drained so there is new oil running through an old filter! I will not return to this Jiffy Lube.
