Had a no call no show when first scheduled, eventually got back to us that he had over booked, and we had to reschedule.Told Vinny that I'd like a "superior" detailing as offered on their website. After he was done, he said that he had not brought the stuff for the wheel wells, so he didn't do that. He didn't do the engine bay (no reason given) but he would knock $5 off. He also told me there was nothing he could do for my head lights, nor for a stain on my instrument panel. I was told if I noticed anything inside I could just wipe at it with a rag, or give him a call.After he was gone and I was able to inspect my car I noticed that in addition to not doing the engine bay, nor the wheel wells, that none of the glass had been cleaned in addition to many areas of obvious debris being left. Nothing was done to treat the external plastic accents.First thing I did after paying for a Superior detailing service was to bring my care home and clean it. Leaving this review as I feel like I was mislead by reading the others left on Google, highly disappointing.Service: Auto detailing

I recently bought a car from carmax and the interior smelled a little musty or like previous owner smoked in the car. Downtown Detail did an amazing job on the interior and had to come back to do the exterior due to incoming back weather. He came back and did an amazing job and even offer up suggestions on how to keep the exterior looking like new. I definitely recommend and will use again.

I am very pleased with how my 2011 Prius looks after Vinny used his skills and magic on it yesterday. On-time, efficient, conscientious, and just a good guy. So awesome. Called and he got me in quickly. Mobile service so he came to me. Worked hard for 2.5 hours in full sun in the heat of the day. My car is unrecognizable!! Highly recommend. Absolutely amazing. Mold was growing between my drivers door and seat and by the end of the clean it was completely gone. Not only that, but it looked like it did when we first bought it ten years ago. The steering wheel has never been this clean and the leather feels buttery. The carpets are also spotless now. Not only do I feel safe riding in the car again without the mold. but I also just can't believe the cost. I plan to recommend this guy to absolutely anyone and everyone who asks. I called and he was there the next day willing to work with me in the apartment complex parking lot. I just got my vehicle detailed on Friday afternoon by Vinny. When I dropped off my car as well as came and picked it up, he was very well respectful and very professional about his business. My vehicle was done within a reasonable time. My car looks excellent from the inside out. Great job well done!!!!! Will definitely continue having my car serviced by you in the future!!! These guys got my interior looking almost new after not getting a detail service in 3 years, all for an AMAZING price. Cannot recommend highly enough. Give this dude a call asap of you need your car cleaned.

Vinny was so fast (finished my car in under 2 hours!) and did an unbelievably good job. My car looks brand new on the outside and the inside. So shiny and clean. Also awesome that he comes to where you live, you don't need to drop your car off at an auto shop and not be able to use it all day. 100% recommend over anyone/anywhere.

Downtown Detail caught my attention when they offered to come to my country home to do our cars. So much more convenient that dropping off and picking up the cars! They came out and rushed through the job before rain was due, and missed two minor cleaning commitments. I called and expected to hear excuses and evasions. Was delighted to hear a prompt apology, and they returned the next day to not only fulfill their promises but also overcompensated practically redoing the entire job. Their commitment to customer satisfaction was impressive and appreciated. Highly recommend especially for the convenience of coming to your home, and high quality customer service.

Vinny had my car back to shining and immaculately clean within hours. Literally two hours. Fast, friendly, and inexpensive. I just wanted clean, but there were scrapes and scratches along the side of my car that he removed, now I can never tell they existed. Above and beyond, excellent job. I'll definitely be a returning customer!

Vinny came to detail my car the next day I called despite it being the weekend. He brought his truck and was able to clean my car at my house. After two hours, he was able to clean, polish, and detail the inside of my car and made it look like brand new. He even got out small scratches with his work. He encouraged me to look through the car to ensure I was happy with the work and continued to polish the tires and rims until they shined. Friendly service and the most reasonable price in charlottesville. I will recommend him to friends and call him again for future detailing.

My husband's car was "well-loved" and in desperate need of a spa day. Vinny was quick to reply and set up a time to detail the car before we left for a long trip. We were both so impressed with how clean and revived his car looked afterward.

Detailed our newly purchased 2011 gold Toyota Sienna. Passenger side looked amazing, but driver s side looked only partially done. Some superficial scratches remaining and polish not wiped off. Under door handles not buffed, and things missed that I specifically mentioned... around gas tank only partially cleaned, and sliding seat tracks inside still very dirty. Wonder if he ran out of time. He also took $200 instead of $180 from our babysitter because he didn t have any change . He never contacted me to let me know. I will take the van elsewhere for a 2nd opinion and to finish the job. We have a baby in the hospital and are moving so I do not have time to chase down our money or haggle over workmanship. We will not use this company again. ***Update: 5/15/21 Received the $20 in change via Venmo***

I can not say enough about the great job that Vinny did for my car. He worked for several hours, cleaned off all the dirt inside and out, and buffed out some scratches. He worked extremely hard and was very thorough. Also, a nice guy, who came to where I have the car. So, I give him 5 stars for a good, efficient, thorough service. Highly recommended, and I will certainly continue to hire his service.

Vinny Came out today and did an amazing job detailing the inside of my car despite a cold rain that was falling. He exceeded my expectations and the car looks great! He couldn t do the exterior due to the rain so he is coming back next week when the weather dries up a bit, and I am confident that the outside will look every bit as spectacular as the inside does now. His rates are very reasonable considering the amount of time he put in. Thanks for a job well done Vinny!

Dijuan did an amazing job! We couldn t be happier! He detailed our daughter s car (21), which hadn t been cleaned since she got it 3 1/2 years ago. It was such a disaster that we did not expect it to come out as well as it did. It looks like a brand new car! Dijuan is very communicative and accommodating. We live downtown and park in the Water Street garage. He brought everything he needed, including water and power. His prices are extremely reasonable. Because the car was in such bad shape, I insisted on paying more than his stated price. Well worth it! We will definitely have him come and detail our other cars soon! I cannot recommend Vinny from Downtown Detail more highly for a car detail. My appointment was super easy to schedule and Vinny was professional, friendly, and on time. They did such a great job with my car!!!! I was almost possitive they weren't going to get some of the dirt and grime out of the floor and seats but my car looks brand new on the inside!!!! It was completely worth my money. My car finally smells good!!!! She looks amazing. The outside has returned to it's original color. I was so impressed. Highly recommend!!!

Excellent service and great detail! Easy to contact and stay in touch with. I dropped my car off with Vinny, ran a few errands and returned to a spotless Jeep less than two hours later. Very satisfied with Downtown Detail!

Outstanding work! Removed 5 month old melted candy off my back seat and caked on bugs from my front bumper that a regular car wash could not touch. He made my car feel new again and for a price that beats anywhere else I could find for a interior/exterior job that he provided! I would highly recommend this service!

The first time we used Vinny and we were so very impressed. The convenience of him being a mobile service is really a luxury. I was doing my chores and did have to worry dropping car off or waiting for the car. He is such nice man who does expectional work at fair price.

Vinny was at my house within 24 hours of initial contact, despite e-mailing him on a Sunday. He gave me a very reasonable quote, did a fantastic job detailing the interior of my truck, and did it all within an hour (and at my house, no less). Really nice guy who did a great job. Highly recommended.
