I have been taking my personal automobile's to Colonial Auto to be serviced for many years. The staff are knowledgeable, professional and detail oriented. These qualities take the stress and worry out of keeping my automobile safe and operating at its best. They keep me informed as to the progress of their work and make timely recommendations for future maintenance needs. My business requires me to drive long distances and the knowledge that my vehicle is in top condition is invaluable.

I'm so disappointed. I was looking for a used SVU/VAN for My son who has four small children two in car seats. My limit was $15,000 cash. Colonial Auto showed me a Honda Odyssey that looked perfect. They assured me that it had been worked up and down and had no issues and that this would be a car that would last my son's family for many many years to come. So, we took it to our local and mechanic who found guess what, A major transmission issue. Within weeks of me notifying colonial with documentation that the transmission was in poor condition and would need to be replaced in the next year or so, a$7,000 investment on a vehicle that we were already planning to pay $15,000 cash for. Within days of notifying colonial with documentation about the transmission the vehicle was back up for sale. I feel sorry for the next buyer because colonial doesn't really care about you or your family's safety. Like most businesses this is all about the money. Laura the sales person spent copious amounts of time repeating to me how much work this van had done on it. High pressure tactics to say the least. As far as I know colonial had a decent reputation but you'll never catch me there again, And if I can discourage my friends from doing so I will. I do know the general manager says he is looking into this and If he finds a satisfactory resolution I will definitely update this review.

I get excellent service at CMA Colonial Auto Service & Parts. They have cared for my Ford Edge for several years and I keep going back because they're responsive and knowledgeable. Brandon is terrific; wouldn't go anywhere else.

I would give zero stars if possible. 3 out of the 4 people we communicated with were not customer friendly. Talk through you not to you. Their biggest concern is to get you out of their hair. Like we were nothing but an inconvenience. I guess some money is greener than others. Definitely our last time using their services for any of our GMC's.

Unfortunately I ve had to deal with this company on several occasion s. Tom with Cadillac is not good at returning calls, no updates. Last week after having my car for almost a week he says to me. you re not my only customer. Wow! Yes I KNOW I m not but at least return my call after I ve left three messages. He does this every time I have to take my Escalade to Colonial. He appears as one who hates his job and the people. This time I made an appointment and it took longer to get a diagnostic report than me walking in. Really???? I m not sure how the other departments are. I ve only used Cadillac. I do not recommend them at all. I think most people use them because of convenience, but I will be looking for another company to take my Escalade to. I don t feel like Tom values his customers. That s bad for Colonial. Update: it s been more than three weeks since I called and spoke with Tom and his assistant. I requested a copy of my bill to be emailed to me. He told me he would get to it. That he was out sick and just returning. Friday January 10, 2024 will be a month. I have not received what a requested. It was such a simple request. All he has to do was log on his computer and email the receipt. I hate to call unfortunately I have to. The lock on my Escalade was ordered but never repaired. This was back in November 2023. This is really bad Colonial!!! I would give you zero stars if I could.

Honestly, every time I come there my car gets pushed back and I end up having to pay even more money because they always have to keep my car multiple days.If I have an appointment for a specific time, I expect my car to be worked on at that time. So far today they have kept my car for 6 hours trying to figure out what's wrong with it when my normal garage could figure it out in 1 hour.I already know what's wrong with it. But they want that stupid diagnostic fee. It's already bad enough that you have to pay an arm and a leg with them.They're completely incompetent.

Unfortunately I've had to visit more than I would like due Ford having poorly designed parts. Brandon and everyone else here has been nothing short of great. Exceptional service, honest, and reasonable prices.

My wife dropped off her vehicle for an oil change and asked that a license plate holder get mounted on the front of the vehicle, which originally came from North Carolina where it's not a law to have the license plate on the front of the car. Here in Virginia, that is not the case.When we picked the car up the oil change had been completed and license plate bracket had been mounted, but I realized once I looked in the glove box of her vehicle that the screws to mount the plate were missing.I asked Branden, who works inside, if I could purchase screws to mount the license plate and he said, "No problem, I've got you." He then proceeded to grab four screws and a drill and mount the plate to the vehicle. When I how I could pay for the additional work, he said, "Don't worry about it."While it was seemingly a small act of kindness and didn't cost a lot of time or money, I thought Branden went out of his way to go the extra mile and that made all of the difference.Thank you Branden for your kindness, professionalism and hospitality! We'll be bringing our vehicle back again and again.10/10 would recommend to friends and family. Please retain and promote Branden...he's good people!Services: Body & Trim, Oil change

We were stranded on Charlottesville because our van broke down. Were towed to Colonial by AAA. Staff was amazing provided 7s a shuttle to a hotel,picked us up in the AM. Fixed our van everyone was so nice. Great service wonderful staff. CMA service was excellent. I am from out of town and had a problem due to poor maintenance from another autoshop in which they did not align my steering wheel properly on the alignment. This triggered the electronic traction system and the trailer breaking system lights to go on and turn off the tow haul . All of that combined disabled the signal to my trailer breaks which keeps them from working. I am towing a 9000lbs trailer with my family in the truck. They truly stepped up to help at the last minute.. thank you CMA

Rating this place one star is being generous. Period point blank they sold my friend a LEMON She bought her car 5 months ago and has had nothing but problems with it. What type of dealership sells you a car and doesn t even have a warranty even if it s just a limited warranty. I think it s sad that people run a business that literally scams people out of hard earned money. I was going to go here and buy a car too until I heard from several people that there cars are NO GOOD. I wouldn t EVER recommend buying a car from here unless you just have money to throw away

Previously been to this center and the service was pricey. I was trying to avoid the Honda dealership so I reached out to see if they would be able to fix the Honda Sensing features on my car that were no longer functioning. The appointment was made a week out. I show up first thing in the morning to drop off my car and a gentleman tells me they can t fix it. I don t understand why I wasn t contacted about this previously as they had plenty of time to let me know. Thank you for wasting my time - won t be back.

One of the most underrated things in todays age is to pay for a service and still be respected. We purchased a used van about 5 months ago. The service center took care of a few cosmetic repairs befofe we purchased the van. After we made the purchase, we had our mechanic look at the van and it needed a new strut. The service department said it was on back order. We noticed the transmission would kick periodically. The service center said they could not feel the kick and if we noticed it again to bring it back. This was during the warranty window. As of today (11/16), we are being told that the strut is still on back order. We made an appointment for the van to be looked at today. They never "got around" to check van or drive it. They had the van for 8 hours. They then said they could check it out tomorrow. However, the appointment was for today and the van is needed tomorrow. They wanted to charge a diagnostic fee for an issue that would have been covered while under warranty.I do not feel like they checked the van throughly while the warranty was valid. I believe they do not want to check van now since we are requesting to not be charged the diagnostic fee as this is an ongoing issue that they did not fix to begin with during the warranty window. I think it was unprofessional and rude to make an appointment and to not even look at the van.

We were traveling through Charlottesville on our way to meet our kids at the beach in North Carolina. Saturday morning the truck would not accelerate. We googled and found Colonial Auto Center. We were greeted by Brianna in service, who got the truck in to be assessed right away. While we were sitting outside waiting, we were greeted by Sharad Shah who was very kind. Tina and Shah both offered us a ride to get something to eat. Then Jeremy in service found the issue, which was really easy to fix to get us back on the road. We were vulnerable, stranded and desperate. Your dealership and employees showed their true integrity and made a bad situation so much better. Thank you so much.Service: Auto exhaust system repair

My wife was was traveling out of town when her car broke down. The tow company dropped the car off at CMA where Jamie took control of the situation. She was able to get my wife in a loaner and back on the road! Thank you CMA and Jamie!
