I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this company. Their behavior was not just rude, but downright unacceptable. From the moment I dialed their number, hoping to explore their services, I was met with a facade of friendliness. Initially, the individuals on the other end of the line seemed accommodating, patiently addressing all my inquiries regarding car diminishing value appraisal. Their apparent helpfulness lulled me into a sense of trust, prompting me to proceed with their services. However, the pleasant demeanor quickly dissipated as they attempted to pressure me into an immediate purchase over the phone, despite my insistence on taking my time to decide. When I finally decided to proceed and provided my credit card information, I anticipated receiving a comprehensive report.Regrettably, upon receiving the report, it was glaringly incomplete and lacked any substantial evidence to support their claims. It seemed they had conjured a figure out of thin air, without any documentation or comparison to similar cases. Despite my request for supplementary evidence and comparisons, they dismissively declared the report final, showing a blatant disregard for my concerns. I am at a loss of $408.00.In light of this experience, I strongly advise against engaging with this company. Their actions reek of deceit and manipulation, making them nothing short of a scam. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere for reliable services.

AAG performed a pre-purchase inspection and valuation on a 1963 Studebaker Avanti R2 for me. The inspection was easily scheduled and executed within two business days. I received a call from the inspector before and after the inspection. The inspection was very through and professional with the report and photos available within 24 hours of the inspection. I talked with the owner of AAG concerning the valuation and he provided a brutal, but well-reasoned valuation. He took his time explaining his valuation and reasons for his decision. He also provided a great deal of good advice on purchasing a classic car. I highly recommend AAG and will be using them again.

Worst company ever... Paid $500.00 to have them inspect a car and Scott said he would refund my money- if I was not happy. So I get the car and it runs like crap and I call them and say "hey your inspector said it was nice and it isn't" All Scott said was "take it up with the inspector" and completely dismissed the entire thing. I said well your calls are recorded; so why don't we play that recording back where you indeed say " we will refund your money" His response "I know what I said I do not need to listen to the call." I said no let's hear it and if it does not say that- I will take my losses. He wouldn't do it.. He just got irritated and said "take it up with the inspector".

The AAG team should be your first call before making any classic car buying decision. I am a repeat customer and have had the opportunity to consult with three different AAG inspectors in different states and venues on potential classic car purchases. Every inspector provided a professional & patient experience that enabled me to make an intelligent fact based buying decision. AAG will provide you with more information on the car of your choice than any other potential buyer.

I used AAG for a pre purchase inspection on a classic car I was interested in. I was very pleased with the level of expertise and customer service that I received throughout the process. I spoke with the inspector before and after the inspection, and then with Larry, the owner, for an appraisal on the vehicle. If it weren t for contacting AAG , I believe I would ve made a purchase that I would ve regretted.

I called the Auto Appraisal Group for a pre-purchase inspection of a classic car I was considering to purchase. The arrangements were made by Kevin, the inspection was done by John, and the owner Larry contacted me to discuss the appraisal after I received the inspection report. All three of them were highly professional. They brought considerable experience and expertise to their work, and were a pleasure to speak and engage with. The inspection was comprehensive and the results and appraisal discussion were very clear. These inputs enabled me to make a very well informed decision about the car. I am really pleased that I decided to engage AAG for this appraisal. I would definitely call on them again if or when I consider a classic car purchase in the future.

These guys are outstanding -- from start to finish! I had never worked with them (or with any auto appraiser) before so I had some reservations. But I very, very quickly got a sense of trust from how they handled their basic communications with me. And that trust was only reinforced by working with the agent who inspected the car I had been interested in buying from a dealer: super-detailed photos and far more of them than I had expected, and a very, very detailed and easy-to-follow report on the car.And then... the actual appraisal, which sealed the deal for me. Or rather, the non-deal, because the very candid feedback from AAG was that the car I was so, uh, infatuated by very tired and in no way worth anywhere near what was being asked. So thanks to AAG, I have saved a ton of money...Absolutely five stars for these guys. Will definitely use them again.

I am so happy I reached out to them. I had a claim and AAG helped me a lot step by step. They are very responsive, helpful, and very fair priced. I cannot thank him enough to help me get through this process and get what my truck was worth from insurance after getting totaled. I recommend AAG Appraisers for anyone going through these insurance claims.

Not very good at their job, not very good at customer serivce, and very poor ownership. Larry was worthless.Had them inspect a car, recieved report that said there were no leaks and everything was great. It took me 5 seconds to find a pool of oil by the intake manifold. How is this so easily missed? When I contacted them to fix it, they did not respond. Hire anyone but them.Talking with Larry about the value of the car can easily be done with a google search. He literally sent me a list of cars currently on the market. Thanks bud, already have that info.

Fantastic service! Car inspector goes out and does an intense review. In my case, seller was flipping car, so inspector was able to give the seller play by play on what he was finding. Which IMO was great. No surprises when came to negotiating. Report is detailed and on point. After report you get a real world verbal appraisal as well from Larry. With the report and appraisal you have the info and confidence of an experienced car buyer to make your offer without worry. Because of their work, I won purchase a car on my dream list, but was afraid to purchase because I didn't have knowledge of what to look for.

Larry and his team are real pros. Detail oriented, and really take the time to do a good job. If you want the plain, unvarnished facts and opinions about the vehicle you want to buy you will get it from these fellows.

Thank You Michael Sullivan for doing your job. AAG does something that other appraisers do not do. They measure the wheel base of the vehicle to make sure it is correct. The front wheel base on the vehicle he inspected for me was 3 inches wider than the specs. Michael then found a welded patch on the frame of the vehicle. There were countless bubbles under the paint and in even hard to see places. By doing his job correctly, Michael saved me thousands of dollars. Needles to say I did not buy the vehicle. I will only be using AAG in the future for vehicle inspections.

We highly recommend AAG, Auto Appraisal Group. We have had five total pre-purchase inspections performed by three different companies with AAG being the best as to communication, report and fees. Praise goes out to Gary Finney who performed the inspection. The companies practice is to have the inspector contact you before and after the inspection as well has submit a 16 page report and a link to an abundance of pictures. Once you receive the pictures and the report, a conference call appointment is set up between you and the actual owner of the company, Larry. Larry provides his overall thoughts on the car inspected and provides his opinion as to the value of the vehicle.Larry and Gary were both fantastic! Although the deal fell through I was able to make an informed decision as to if I wanted to make an offer on the vehicle and what my offer should be with regards to the provided estimate of the value of the vehicle. I should add that the seller of the vehicle I had inspected also had praise for how Gary the inspector conducted the inspection and to his level and understanding of the vehicle.Richard and Donna

I have had 3 HORRIBLE experiences with Auto Appraisal Group. The inspector always goes over the car, states cosmetics look good but they can only rate everything mechanical as Fair condition as they cant have any liability on a car out of Factory Warranty..... All of my inspections have been CLASSIC cars that have been recently restored! This statement is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. They state it is how they do it so buyers don't have any recourse against them (Their words not mine) as they never recommend someone to buy a car. Furthermore from all past experience they have NO idea on what actual value is. They are giving me values on cars that are not even close to what I can buy cars for. SCAM is best way to describe their service.**I am UPDATING my response with a follow-up. Go figure this company that has a 1.5 star review on Yelp and horrible reviews here obviously has no problem forgetting or lying about who their customers are. BEWARE of this company!

AAG delivered exactly what the customer service associate promised. The service was professional, the report was comprehensive, and in plenty of time for me to be able to phone-bid an auction. Larry is straight ahead, has tons of experience and helped me focus on the most important factors in my decision making. Will definitely use these folks again.

I was referred by a local classic car dealer. I have had three cars assessed by AAG over the past year and a half. The first contact is Dustin who is helpful, efficient and professional. Each time, I have received a call the same day or early the next day from the appraiser. Each has been friendly, generous with his time and clearly outlines what he will do and the time frame in which to expect the full report. I have received the report within 24 hours of the inspection with over one hundred photos. There is a phone consult with the appraiser and, at the end, with the company owner, Larry. The appraisers clearly like their work and they are informative and helpful. They have all been generous with their time and offer to talk again if needed. Larry is also very helpful and offers a wealth of experience. This organization does a great job......and they are all happy to talk with you at length. Very highly recommended!

Incredible service on all levels, and an Eyes Wide-Open(ing) experience! For having never bought a vehicle other than through a local dealership, along with never having purchased a used vehicle, here I was looking at purchasing a 1969 Firebird from over 900 miles away. I knew I needed to have the vehicle inspected and appraised, so I asked the national lender I was using to finance the loan "Who are some good reputable auto inspection/appraisal companies?" Auto Appraisal Group (AAG), was one of the very few that were recommended and were nation-wide. Although the finance institution was rather comfortable with the classic car dealership I was working with, in regards to being very reputable, I knew I needed to have someone represent our interest, especially with this significant of an investment.Once I called and requested the inspection and appraisal, a very seasoned inspector/appraiser was at the dealership within 2 days, and had the 12-page detailed report along with 60 pictures of every nook and cranny of the car, along with the report, the next night. That's called Service! Even more amazing was when I called and asked about the appraisal of the vehicle, I actually had the opportunity to speak directly to the owner of AAG who gave me more information about buying classic cars than I could've ever learned through reading books, or browsing on the internet. There is something to be said about generations of experience when buying a classic or used vehicle, especially when those people are working for you! My conversations with the appraiser and the owner actually drove me to stop, take a step back, and take the emotional aspects out of the process, and look at it much more pragmatically. My wife and I took two more days to debate the pros and cons before we finally decided to move forward with the purchase, and note, we did so with our eyes wide open .I would like to thank the AAG team for going above and beyond to help us as we journeyed through this experience, and for teaching us more than I could have ever asked for from anyone. Thank You!Sincerely,Two very satisfied customers

Auto Appraisal Group provided top notch service. Tony Cela conducted a thorough pre purchase inspection including a couple hundred photos, videos and a complete checklist. Tony called me before and after the inspection to ensure he understood my concerns and answered all my questions. After the inspection, I spoke with Larry who provided a brutally honest appraisal which is exactly what I needed. Thanks AAG!!!

Very disappointed. Someone hit my car that was only a few years. I had heard of diminished value so I called them. They said I could get as much as $4K so I purchased the diminished value package for $400 (hoping that I recoup at least that much). An agent provided me with a report that I submitted to the insurance company (now I know that's all I bought for $400). Insurance company said it didn't support the claim that there is diminished value. I was going back and forth with the insurance company. Support from AAG was horrible. They didn't respond to my e-mails and when I called they gave me bs advice. Basically they are not able to provide anything you can use as leverage in these cases. After 8 months of struggle I gave up.Don't waste your time and money on them!

I contacted AAG this past summer to get an appraisal of our 1959 Silver Cloud II.Stephanie Tripp was the agent and did a very thorough job in appraising the car with lots of good suggestions on how to market and list the car.. He had 6 calls and sold it within a week after advertising it in The Flying Lady!

I was very pleased with the exceptional service that AAG provided. The inspector contacted me and informed me of the inspection time. He sent 99 pics and the grading sheets. An appointment time was set up for the vehicle to be appraised and to go over the pics and ask any questions. I will use this company again. Such a professional team. Thank you Larry

I was recommended to contact AAG by my local classic car dealer (Old Town Automobile) based upon what they considered to be extremely thorough and professional inspections performed on other vehicles AAG had appraised. I contacted George Hatcher AAG s local inspector, who returned my call within 30 minutes even though on vacation with family. He called the office and within 2 days I had been emailed an 18 page vehicle inspection report and 213 color pictures of every aspect of the proposed vehicle. I then received an extensive hour-long phone call from Mr. Batton to discuss every aspect of the report in relation to my purchase and usage intentions. I then received a written insurance appraisal within 60-minutes of call completion. It is rare when a business exceeds all your expectations, and AAG absolutely did. I now would not consider buying a used vehicle of any type without an AAG inspection first.

This company is ruthless and works for only money and contracts that liberty mutual provide. These guys will lie about valuations during appraisal clause valuations to make sure they meet what amount that insurance company has told them not to exceed. They do not play fair and are completely untrustworthy. Do not do business with them and if your insurance company hires this company to value your car it's all contracted work and they work for the insurance company to maximize there profits and keep the insurance companies contracts. The owner larey and his son and have defrauded many policy's holder based on corrupt valuations and I believe there are many 3rd party insurance appraiser that have been collecting enough evidence to hit these guy with a big lawsuit. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Please find a local trustworthy appraisal group that will actually help. I also have heard many people do write reviews against them but they end up burying the reviews.

Utilized this company for a long distance inspection for an expensive vehicle. Their inspector missed quite a bit.Severe scratches on both mirrors, leather peeling on dash, quarter panels with hundreds of rock chips beyond the clear coat to name a few.I would not recommend this company at the prices they charge.

Highly recommended. Used their services related to an automobile diminished value claim with an insurance company. The appraiser came out to my house to review the vehicle, was very professional and very thorough. Provided a 13 page report documenting the appraised value. Insurance company OF COURSE responded with their own cut rate appraisal (w/o ever looking at the vehicle). Mr. Batton and the entire team have been walking me through the process step by step and I'm very lucky to be able to rely on their expertise and knowledge.

Best $550.00 I ever spent! Inspected a 1970 Chevelle SS396 prior to signing the dotted lines. Comprehensive inspection of vehicle and documents revealed many issues involving document and repair history. Extensive final review with the president of AAG further confirmed the results. Only way to go before learning the hard way! A+ & THANK YOU!

I was extremely satisfied with the service of AAG. My local representative, Tommie Mallory was extremely good. Going out of his way to help me. Larry Batton in the home office was also very good in helping me learn about my 1935 Cadillac and its pre-purchase condition, value, strengths, and weaknesses. He made it possible to communicate with the seller discuss weaknesses and thereby support the reasoning for my offer. Between Tommie & Larry they educated me enough to make an offer the seller was comfortable with while saving me more than their fee. Thank You for all the help & service.

-Brand new tires and rims, less than 100 miles on them all, and they rated them a 3 out of 5 for condition.-Brand new carpet and mats, and rated them a 2 out of 5 for condition.-Dash completely restored. Inspector said it looked brand new from the factory, but rated it a 2 out of 5 for condition.Unbelievable!Cost me huge on the loan valuation. I wouldn't let them pay me for an inspection. Zero stars if I could.____________________________________________________________________Post AAG response: That fact that they say "could have possibly given a couple of individual items a higher rating"? Possibly? Plain arrogance right there. The condition of brand new tires and rims are a 5, period. The condition of new carpet and mats are a 5, period. The condition of a completely reconditioned dash that looks better than the factory is a 5, period.Own up to it, apologize and learn from your obvious mistakes. Instead, AAG chooses to say how their incorrect appraisals are based on decades of experience. Then they arrogantly say that my expectations where based on emotions and hope? I hoped to be paying for an accurate honest appraisal, but what I got was 3 major errors in judgement from a so called reputation of integrity. Is it really good integrity to classify 2 brand new item condition anything but a 5? Another item completely reconditioned anything but a 5? Everyone reading your response? Then they arrogantly accuse me of asking for an inflated appraisal, which I never asked anything from AAG but an accurate representation of the facts, which they obviously grossly failed to provide.AAG's final closing states they give an honest assessment of the car's worth, (which must be based on the condition), and they will always do exactly that. When the car's worth is based on an incorrect evaluation of the facts?AAG is arrogant and has lost all credibility. They have so many 1 star reviews. No surprise at all. My bad for not reading google reviews first.

I recently had a vehicle inspected for the purposes of obtaining a loan for an older car. The bank required a certified appraisal so I contacted AAG. They did the appraisal and I had questions about the results. I was directed to the owner of the company who called me back. I was present at the appraisal and walked around the vehicle with the appraiser to see everything that he was looking at. As I was asking about why certain condition ratings were what they were I was told because that's what they are. When I tried to get a better explanation, I was met with interruptions to my questions and a very rude attitude. I was told that if I wanted to be an appraiser I should do it, but the ratings are what they are. The conversation elevated to the point that I could not believe that a business owner was using the tone and words that this business owner was using for one of his customers - I paid for an appraisal and told him that I felt that I was entitled to an explanation of the results. It didn't get me anywhere - I would never use this company again and would not waste my hard earned dollars for this kind of treatment whether the appraisal was accurate or not!!

Great customer service! Very thoughtful, considerate, thorough. These people know classic cars. Reasonably priced. Money well spent -- saved me from buying a 1969 Corvette that looked good on the outside, but was a mess internally. I highly recommend them!
