Great experience getting new battery today. Told them what I was looking for, they even suggested that my current battery should be under warranty (which it was, but didn't want the hassle of dealing with the dealership). Christine was awesome. Old battery out, new battery installed, all told about 10 minutes. And when she was done with me, she offered to help some young men parked next to me who were trying to figure out where to put power steering fluid. Highly recommend!

Need to give Larry a shout out for helping my wife and I. We needed a new Honda bulb replaced. Larry knew exactly what he was doing- had us on our way in a matter of minutes. Excellent customer service. Would recommend to anyone. Ask for Larry

Went their about a week ago to get some new wiper blades and had a wonderful experience! I went in and the gentlemen at the counter immediately asked if I needed help, told them I needed wiper blades and they helped me pick out the perfect ones for my car. Larry then went and picked them out from the shelf, rung me up, and then installed them on my car! He did a great job, they work incredibly well, both the front and rear! Want to give a big shout out to Larry, he was very helpful and nice through the whole experience. Will always be coming back for my car needs when I am in town! Thank you!Wanted to give an update: Had to go back and get a new battery since mine died when I was getting gas. Went and saw Larry again and he was a huge help once again! Tested my battery first then gave me a list of options, went with the die hard 3 yr warranty. He then installed it in a timely manner while being nice and helpful! Battery has been working great! Thank you again Larry! Can t say enough good things about him and this store. Have a great day!

My experience at the 29th Place St store was quick, easy, and educational. I am someone who is not car savvy, and Christina helped me every step of the way, confirming I had the right size wiper blades and even came out to my car to give me a lesson on how to install them step by step. I ve never had such a pleasant experience at a car shop!

I purchased a replacement belt for my vehicle from this location in Charlottesville on 11/22/22. They sold me the incorrect belt the first time so I had to travel back to the store and swap it for the correct belt - no big deal at that point except that the belt I needed vs the one they sold me originally was more expensive. Their selling point was "this belt has a 3 year replacement warranty". Due to time and the urgency to fix my vehicle, I paid more for the correct belt.On the drive home, the new belt broke while I was in the interstate. I returned to the store today to take advantage of the "three year warranty" that justified this part being more expensive and I'm told that I have to have the belt in order to get a replacement or refund...No belt no warranty... What?? I did make an attempt to search the 30 mile stretch of interstate for what remained of the belt with no luckI visited a different Advanced Auto location with the one little piece of belt that was left on my car. I was told that it wasn't needed and they immediately ordered a replacement. They also refunded part of my balance because guess what... There was a cheaper option available. All this without me even having to ask.I'll never purchase another item from this location. I will also be contacting the corporate office and filling a complaint specifically about this location. I realize that in the current world we live in people's moment of need becomes a chance to be taken advantage of but I did not expect that from such a reputable company!

First and last time ording online. Was supposed to get 15% off ordering onlineWent in to pickup part Clark told me weDon't have anything to do with the discount,he then told me we don't haveThis part don't know if he could order.Finally after twenty-some minutesThey found it.Then got home to find outSteering stabilizer had been opened up and was missing parts .Had to pressSteel sleeve from old one.

Went for an oil filter. Reference book was missing from shelf area, but staff spotted us struggling quickly, and were super helpful getting us hooked up with what we needed.

I love Advance auto parts!!! They are friendly and very helpful. I ve never had a problem with returns but have got the wrong part a time or two. They are entitled to a mistake every now and then right? We are human, we do get tiered and look at how they get treated by complete strangers! Other than that I ve had no problem and never plan to change auto part stores

Went in to replace a battery. Graciously checked my battery, offered to charge and retest. Purchased a new battery, they quickly installed it and I was on my way. Great customer service.

I purchased an item on-line for pickup @ this store. Upon arrival to receive the item, I noticed that the box had been opened. I brought that to the attention of the attendant, to which he replied that if it didn't work that the item came with a warranty. I trusted him, and decided to take it. Well, that was a huge mistake, because the unit was defective, and I was so mad @ myself for trusting the attendant, that I decided to just throw it away instead of returning to the store and unloading on the attendant.Well, another disappointment while making on-line purchases at this store. I went to pickup the items that I had ordered for pickup at this store, and noticed that the package had been opened. When I asked for a replacement, I was told that they did not have another one.When I asked for a refund, I was informed that since I had made the purchase with my debit card, that the money would be refunded to my account. Then I asked what I should do with the item being returned, and was told that I could keep it 'til I received my money back. That setup a RED flag, because I may never get my money back.

They had all the parts I needed. Quick and easy getting in. The staff is always friendly and helpful finding any part needed. They have added in lots of safety measures to help keep staff and customers safe right now. Very efficient checking out as they had 3 staff ready to help at any given moment.

I ve use Advance Auto Parts since I ve been able to drive. They are well trained and knowledgeable, consistently great service and they stand behind what they sell. Can t ask for more than that.

Depending on the day of course, this location is NOTORIOUSLY understaffed, so if you're stopping in to pick up, say, a pack of tire plugs in a hurry (you're on your way to help your mother who's stranded across town with a flat.....in the pouring rain), you're apt to be peeved. Lucky for them they're an established company.

I stopped in to replace some windshield wipers. They assisted me in finding the correct wipers, and then promptly came outside and installed them for me. They say they will do these things, but it was nice to see that in fact they did! Based on that service I feel I can recommend this place for automotive part needs.

Bought part online and picked up at the store, but just like every other auto parts store around here, everybody is real nice, but there is usually a longer wait than one cares for. I walked out of Autozone the other day as they were ridiculous. No one really has sufficient staff especially if they are helping someone in the parking lot.

Went in July 21st at 10:45 am. Stood in line for 11 mins. Only one sales person was working. Then watched as the sales person went back to the parts dept. Not once did he acknowledge me or say a thing. I heard him laughing and chatting with another person in the back too. When a customer is in line and waiting for over 5 mins, do us a favor and look up and say "hello" and tell us you'll be with us shortly and call for HELP! Common sense in any retail sales. Went to your competitor! And will use Amazon.

In my experience the service at this particular location is utterly lacking. The prices are significantly more expensive than competing auto part stores yet the customer service is far below that of what others provide.I paid 15 dollars for a bulb to be told that they "don't offer insulation for parts they sell" yet if I would have travelled a few miles away to auto zone the same bulb would've been several dollars cheaper and an associate would've gladly installed it for me.Would not have even come here is I didn't have a gift card to use up.Save your money. Go someplace else!

Every store is stocked with polite,intelligent people who want to help you get it right the first time.Except the Hollymead store. Sarcastic and rude old woman behind counter who just pushes buttons. If you actually need help,she sends you to other stores. Lazy.

Ordered a couple items online and they were ready when I arrived to pick them up. While there inquired about battery testing which they immediately tested. Needed a battery, purchased and they installed. Great service!

Younger guy who replaced my battery was great! The elderly guy who I asked for change for $50 bill was rude to me. Upon asking, he responded with "this isn't a grocery store". I asked for this change so I could tip the young guy who changed my battery.

John at Advance Auto was a big help to my wife when she had to get some car help on a trip through Charlottesville. He was called ahead of time and was waiting for her. He verified what was necessary for a foreign car and even helped take care of the issue for her. Kudos to John for great customer service!

Terrible! I was met with hostility and anger when asking about how to fix my Jeeps death wobble. I thought tie rod ends and ball joints might help me out. I was told that he s worked on Jeeps his whole life and never seen tie rod ends be cause for death wobble. I then asked what he might recommend and was met with some attitude laden response. I hope this individual feels better.
