Had to have my speedometer calibrated for court. I handed them my keys and sat down to read a book expecting a lengthy wait. Within thirty minutes I was being handed my keys and out the door I went.Courteous staff and a clean waiting areas. If I didn t live in Maryland I d make this place my primary maintenance and repair shop.Highly recommend.

The team did great work on my 4Runner. Frame repair and rear axle seal. They even fixed a couple things along the way including an exhaust leak and replaced front sway bar bushings. Super quick turnaround

I have had my cars serviced by Donnie and his wonderful team for over 6 years. After being ripped off by dealership mechanics, it s wonderful to have a trustworthy place for my car to be serviced. I drive from Stafford to Chantilly even for oil changes. In addition, they handle servicing of hotel s van fleet. Thanks again Advanced Automotive for being the BEST consistently!!

What I like the most about advanced automotive is that the team is accommodating, competent, and trustworthy. It seems like anytime I go to any shop to get anything done for a car, I get some big sales pitch to do things that I know for well don't need to be done. My experience with advanced automotive has been completely the opposite. I get my car inspected there every year, and periodically they've commented on things I should keep an eye on, but they've never tried to convince me to change my brakes early or change my fluids early or any of that kind of nonsense. I just paid my car off at 6 years and brought it in for an inspection. I asked the team to take a special look over the entire vehicle and let me know if there's any preventive or responsive maintenance I should do it this point. Again, they came back with a couple things to keep an eye on, but there was no artificial sense of urgency to trap me into doing something now. For this reason, there is a 100% chance that when I need work done, they're going to get the job.

Took care of the issues nobody else could! I needed an alignment and have a 2 inch lift kit on my SUV. We drove it overseas for 3 years on some horrible roads - off road, places it shouldn't have gone, and really pushed it to the limit. The mechanic at work told me what I needed to get done (that he couldn't do) and when I took it to Advanced they diagnosed everything exactly like the mechanic at work did (I didn't tell them what I knew so they're top notch in my book). The guy at the front who helped me (Preston I think) was great! He kept me updated and gave me alternatives with different prices.I would definitely go back to them (although I hope I don't need to) as I feel they can fix anything and were honest.Thanks!

I was dropping my car off on a Friday evening for service on Monday. I was greeted by Preston who was so pleasant and very helpful. He said we can look at the car now and let you know if we find something wrong. Donny came and told me it needed brakes.They replaced the brakes and I was ready to go within and hour.What excellent service! I will never take my car anywhere else.

I have gone to have my car serviced there for the past four years, I remain impressed with the staff's professionalism and reasonable prices. When I needed to replace my shocks, they quickly found an alternative source for them when their first choice fell through. Great customer service.

Did a speedometer test here and it went great. They have a dynometer to test your car. Also a very respectful team and front desk. I applaud you guys for your speed and customer service.

Took my 2021 JT here and Robert and team helped to assess and mitigate my alignment and geometry issues associated with my 4 1/2 inch lift. If you have a lifted vehicle that needs some alignment work, you can t go wrong with Advanced Automotive. The team treated me with professional curtesy from start to finish!

There I was, broken down on Rt.50, cars blaring their horns at me, so scared people would have accidents... I called AAA first, and then 911 to ask for assistance with traffic. AAA sent Black Horse Transportation - Eddie was like my knight in shining armor, but instead of riding a white horse, well... who cares what color it was! He saved me and whisked me back home (I tipped him well) before taking my car to a repair shop. Now Mr. Eddie told me to go to HIS repair place Advance Automotive, but I was unfamiliar with them, so I asked that he drop it to the place that used to treat me right. Notice "used to"... After looking at my car, this place told me I'm looking at $6-8K to fix it!!! I was trying to get my 2006 to 20 years old but not for that price. I called Eddie back to see about a tow home so I could pay my final respects - and Eddie said to please call Advanced Automotive - just ask what it'd cost to replace the timing belt since that's what first place said I needed (but they also said new water pump, and new engine, plus other untold items until new engine was in place!) I called and they were willing to tow from 1st repair place to themselves (less than 6 miles) - so I said YES! Chris, the service manager called me back SAME DAY and told me what was up. Engine was fine, just needed a new timing belt and they'd let me know on the water pump. Wow! Glory day! I got to keep Old Blue after all! This is a normal item on your 120,000 mileage service recommendation so was no surprise. Everything else on my 2006 PT Cruiser was working just fine. They got the job done so fast!!! Found out my neighbor has been using them for years and swears by them - which was the extra confirmation that I needed. Thank you Eddie! You saved Old Blue! And Thank you Chris, Donny and my mechanic (sorry I didn't get your name) for your part in fixing my car that I wasn't ready to say goodbye to! *** After my visit today and last visit I have to add to my post! Everyone I have met and spoken to here have been incredible! Chris who usually answers the phone is so very knowledgeable and calm in demeanor, so when I call all stressed out about a problem with my car, Chris always calms me down with his words - and they're never false nor inflated - he gives it to you straight but in such a positive way that you immediately feel hopeful - he's magical. The owner Donny is usually on site and oversees everything, so I feel like he's the one who insures all is done right. The mechanics I've met have all been real and respectful. It's such a well run business and I'm so glad my neighbors recommended me to them. I've had two big jobs done by them - the first one I was told by a different car repair place that it was time to get rid of my car, that it was non-repairable. Advanced Automotive was willing to tow it to them (was about 9 miles away) and within a day gave me the great news of just how very fixable it was and their cost was so very fair! The next big job was a new front brake job. Much less than the dealer who had discovered it during one of my free oil changes, and lightning fast are they! Today blew my mind when they diagnosed and took care of a scary to me issue plus gave me a clean emissions test I needed for my registration renewal. Had a issue with the way one of the employees was driving. A company owned truck. Brought to the attention of Donnie and he brushed me off saying it was not his problem, well. You are the owner. So it is your problem when you have employees representing you re company. Hope you do better with the next people you hire.

Thank you to Chris and Advanced Automotive for the excellent and efficient work done on my car! I had lost hope in car repair shops after dealing with another local repair shop and my dealership. But you have renewed my faith and created a new fan. They are a AAA recognized repair shop and within an hour of my car arriving provided me with the diagnostic report and estimate for repairs. No trying to sell me anything additional just get my car repaired so I can get back on the road. My repair was completed the next day, so I was without my car for less than 24 hours. I can't say enough good things about this place and the service I received!

Now we all know it's hard to find a REALIABLE, TRUSTWORTHY, HONEST mechanic now a days but I'm here to tell you this is the place!! I've been going here for more than 2 DECADES and the folks here never disappoint me from simple oil changes to full blown in depth auto repairs, this is the place to go! These guys are top notch and always get me in and out. The technicians come out and personally deliver your vehicle, go over what they did in detail and the service advisors are very knowledgeable and professional also. You would expect to pay to dollar at a facility like this but the prices are the best in town! Highly recommend AA for your maintenance and repair needs, minor or major.

Awesome job by the advanced automotive guys! I took my 1998 BMW E36 there to have a rusted front swaybar mount replaced. I had talked to a bunch of other shops in the area and they either said no verbally or said no with a crazy price.I dropped my car off at 7pm Tuesday and it was ready to go by 10am Wednesday.Id thoroughly recommend these guys for any make or model regardless of year, they didn t hesitate for a second when they heard 25 year old BMW.

5/5!*This is a review purely based off a speedometer calibration service*The Service: I went here after a friend recommended Advanced Automotive for when it came to speedometer calibrations. Gave them a call and was able to come right in and get the service done. The calibration didn't last too long and before I knew it, I got the calibration paperwork i-hand and notarized.The Staff: The staff were friendly. On the phone, I explained what I needed and they gave me a quote and it was true to their word. After my calibration, they gave me the paperwork and I paid what was discussed over the phone. Everyone was nice and straight when it came down to the service and pricing.Overall, a very good experience with Advanced Automotive in regards to a speedometer calibration. Prices are fair and work is good. Highly recommend.

this was couple years back. just happened to stumble upon this shop. I got alignments from them many times after trick trucks installed BDS lift kit on my Tundra. Wasted so much $$$ and they do not warranty any alignment issues when they are the one who did it initially. Scammers! Beware of this shop + trick trucks.Edit: after reading other reviews, yes they do not treat minorities the same as white people. I felt this as well.

2019-03-08 called AAA for roadside assistance, requested a tow, they told me that Advanced Automotive (John, driver) would arrive by 8:02am, John arrived by/before 8am, met me at my door, was really nice and professional, John recommended BMW of Chantilly, which is closer than BMW of Sterling, 8:10am John had my BMW on the tow truck, I decided to go with BMW of Sterling, asked John can he take route 606 since it is a shorter route, he said yes, he calculated the miles, and he said that it is not worth it to even write up a ticket (for the tow), so he told me that AAA is paying for the tow (and I did not have to pay an additional cost for the tow), before leaving John had one question, he asked do the headlights stay on, I asked, did he turn the car off, he went outside, turned the car off; John must have dropped off my car at BMW of Sterling by 8:45am because Eric @ BMW of Sterling called me after 8:45am and told me that my BMW was there at BMW of Sterling. Thank you Advanced Automotive and I highly recommend you all!

My car needed some significate suspension repair work due to rust. The sub frame, lower control arms and the sway bar links and bushings need to be replaced.The Toyota dealer quoted me an exorbitant price for the repair, claiming that the engine would need to be removed in order to make the repairs.Advanced Automotive accurately diagnosed the problem and fully explained the issues, my options, and their recommendations.The work they performed was excellent. I know this because I checked, and all of the work was done exactly as quoted. The car now drives perfectly!The entire process was professional, straightforward, honest, and I could not be more pleased with their service. And the best part is that I saved almost half of what the dealer wanted, and the engine did NOT have to be removed. Humm.Service: Steering & suspension repair

I think any car owner's worst nightmare is having your car break down on the side of the road, finding out that your auto club only tows you a short distance and you land at a repair shop that you know nothing about, to find out that you need an entirely new engine. Fortunately for my situation, we ended up with a knowledgeable tow truck driver who towed us to Advanced Automotive where we received excellent service, an honest assessment of what needed to be fixed, and regular communication with updates about the status of the repair. From the owner of the shop to the mechanic, we met them all and talked with them one on one about what needed to be done. I also greatly appreciated being shown on the car where there were issues and having knowledgeable people explain what needed to be done and why in terms that one could understand. The charges for labor are very reasonable and you leave the shop feeling like you received reliable service from a mechanic who takes pride in his work and will standby his work. While sitting in the waiting area, I could tell that my level of service was not out of the ordinary but was the normal course of how Advanced Automotive does business. I highly recommend them. Additionally impressive, was the waiting area, which was inviting, clean, and friendly!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair, Car towing

Awesome experience. Robert and his team are top-notch mechanics. This trip was an oil change and I was out in 20 minutes. I was shown some future work that will be needed and I appreciate the heads up.I ve had more extensive work done in the past and have always been satisfied with the honesty and professionalism that I ve experienced.Service: Oil change

I highly recommend Advanced Automotive-they feel like our family! We have been taking our vehicles to them for 5+ years now. They are always friendly, honest and extremely prompt. Robert is so kind and has an extensive knowledge of cars-which is much appreciated when you are not car savvy! Tommy performs quick services and is very thorough! They are genuine and they do not try and push unnecessary services. I have been coming here for a couple of years now. They are experts when it comes to my Jeep and I will never go anywhere else. Trick Trucks first sent me here to get an alignment done which was quick and priced appropriately. When something actually broke I went back and they gave me a written quote which I took home and researched as it was a pricey repair. They did not over charge me at all (being a woman this happens a lot). Work is always completed in a timely fashion and on another visit they even saved me some time and money by sending me down the street to Trick Trucks to get an easy fix I could do myself. Once they assess the problem they always call with my options and a recommendation for the best solution. The best solution usually costs more but I trust their opinion and if I chose the cheaper option they would happily complete the work just the same. Thank you to all of you at Advanced for being amazing!!

DO NOT GO THERE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF! The guy running the front desk, seems like he is the owner, is the CROOK you need to watch out for. I took my car for safety inspection, and it failed for two reasons. 1. Taillight was not working and 2. brake light was on.They quoted me $30 upfront for the tail light, but charged me $135 when the car was done, claiming they had to clean corrosion on circuit board. They went ahead with the work without my consent or prior approval of the amount. Easy way to slap an extra $100 and dupe people for "cleaning corrosion" without consent. They charged me another $67 for the brake light, which they claimed was fixed, but as soon as I got home the light came back on! They spent all of 30 minutes or less on my car for "repairs", so their labor rates must be higher than dealership to charge $167 for 30 min or less for doing nothing productive... They are ripping people off with bogus "corrosion" claims. I wish I had read the reviews prior to going there. I called this shop and made an appointment to discuss frame rust and integrity issues. They were recommended by a top frame repair sections manufacturer because of their ability to install their products and willingness to take on tough jobs where fabrication is necessary. In my case, parts were not available for my Toyota Sequoia and I would need them to be fabricated. I found a friendly manager, a clean well organized shop, and an expert who clearly understood and could explain to me the extent of my issues and safety implications. He raised my truck and showed me in detail where I had problems and urgency to make repairs. He took his time, and we put together a plan with estimated costs that seemed fair. I have a technical background and was impressed by his knowledge and thoroughness. I went 30 miles out of my way to get to Advanced Automotive and look forward to working with them in the future.
