I left the European car which the Volkswagen Passat 2018, here.I went to the dealer before I came A1 auto tech.the dealer shop couldn t find out what is problems and couldn t fixed it.So I got to know the A1 auto shop by my friend's strong recommendation. Mr.Steve Lee and other staff were kind and explained in detail, and it was as perfect as when I first bought a new car after fixing it.Services: Transmission, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic

Easily the best mechanic in Chantilly. There is good, reliable service here. They've even been nice enough to use parts I've brought in for my vehicles. If you need an honest mechanic, look no further!

Steve has really come through for me many times now. When the previous owner sold, I wasn't sure about the new guy, but after numerous excellent repairs to my family's vehicles, I am very happy.I hope he will be around for a long time!

Excellent car care company, I had a Honda Accord serviced. Mechanic fixed issued problem plus future parts it might go malfunction. I m not a mechanic but still my car had no issues it s running good.

NO LONGER A-1 CAR CARE INC. The business has been bought out and changed into A-1 AutoTech who is owned by Steve Lee. Who has been nothing but generous with his clients.Yesterday (06/13) on my way home from work I had a low tire pressure due to a nail I found. As I arrived in the shop, I was greeted by a lovely young lady. Once I explained my situation, she informed me that Steve was at the Patient First across the street and that he'll be right back in 30mins. Which in fact, he was back quicker than expected. Steve was able to locate the nail and was even kind enough to show me where it was and that he'll have me patched up and ready to go in no time. Less than 10mins later and I was already paying and out the door!Pricing, 5 star.Customer Service, 5 star.Speed, 5 star.Will continue to bring my car in for any service needed!

Steve is the new owner! He has worked on three car issues for me since he purchased the business. I would highly recommend him. He works hard, gives you a good price and it is nice to find a truly honest shop!If anyone that lives in the Chantilly area this is the only one place to go to get all of your automotive needs met with professionalism, only recommended items that need to be replaced at a reasonable charge. I have recommended numerous individual's to this business. He also has a wonderful cat that he adopted as a stray around his business. Say hi to Tiger the Cat and tell Cavin, Chip recommended his shop. edit to add: FYI - the below review was for the prior ownership, new ownership (Steve Lee) took over in early 2023, and I look forward to checking out the new shop in the future. I will update my review then.-----------------I have been a customer of A-1 Auto Care for a few years now. I take my cars to them for oil changes, inspections, and whenever anything goes wrong with the vehicles. The owners are very polite and very professional. They were the ones I first went to on an acquaintance's recommendation when I was ready to let go of the dealership for maintenance, and I am very happy I did. I have grown to trust their recommendations, and I have not once felt that I was being pushed into unnecessary work or charged unfairly. Hard to believe from an auto shop having come from a dealership where I felt that every time, but that's why I'm here recommending them.

We had our car inspection done at hogan and sons,, they failed our inspection saying we needed tires and brakes changed. Which was completely not true. I was recommended A-1 car care by one of our friends. The gentleman was very kind and did the inspection which ofcourse passed. They sure earned a customer for good.

I had an emergency issue with my tire very late in the day. The owner kindly squeezed me in at the last minute before he closed. He quickly fixed it and only charged a small fee. He definitely saved me. Thank you so much!! His cat is very cute too and that is a plus. Service: TiresService: Tires

Part of me is torn writing this review. It is one of those places you want to keep to yourself. They are excellent mechanics. Cavin telks you straight what you need and what can wait. They are a busy shop already because they are that good.This is one of those rare shops that stand behind their work. They do things right. Did I mention they are reasonable price wise? They don't do traditional appointments, which I love. call ahead, ask if they can take the car. They'll offer another an alternative day if they're swamped. We usually have the car back in a reasonable time for most things.

Great service, Cavin is extremely kind and knowledgeable. He has diagnosed my cars many times and fixed well. I have taken all my cars there for years and don't trust anyone else in the area. Most shops are out to fool you in overcharging services that are not needed, but this shop doesn't. Not sure what the yelling comments are, but I have always received great service at this shop with very courteous interaction.

We have been going here for years and they have always done wonderful work. A-1 Car Care is one of the best car repair shops I have used in my driving life. I am a long distance driver and I love to take care of my cars. These folks are not only honest and excellent in their trades but also provide a service that is prompt and reliable. Almost always I rely on them to keep my car running in excellent condition. All my questions are answered promptly and the owner is very knowledgeable. I recommend this shop to all my friends and family as I want everyone to have a safe driving experience. Keep up the Good Work ! Families rely on your craftsmanship to transport their loved ones safely every day.p.s. please ignore the reviews that say that they are angry or provide poor customer service; they speak English well.

I am the same boat as the other poster who wanted to keep this place to self. This is a low key and good value shop. Kevin is honest and trustworthy and does not force or recommend any services that you do not need. He even pushed me to get some of the work done at the dealer as it might be under an extended warranty which I did not know at the time. Our family used to use other local repair shops. My wife needed help and these great people took care of her and made her feel comfortable and at ease. I tried to get an inspection done at my regular place and I was treated like cattle. I came here and had 2 cars done in the same day and have been coming here for years now. I highly recommend this family run business for the quality of the work they do and how reliable they are.

Always had great service at good prices at A-1. The owner and staff are friendly and courteous, but most of all they are trustworthy! A mechanic you can trust is very rare, and I never leave the shop wondering if I've been taken advantage of, unlike many other places. Been coming here for years; I recommend the shop to my friends and, more importantly, to my business coworkers and customers. Top marks across the board!As for the one star reviews, notice that some are from anonymous posters - sounds like someone's trying to cheat the system. Ignore the haters, this is a quality business.

I had a great experience here. I came in with a bunch of questions about my car and he explained everything very well and very patiently. Honestly, this is the only shop where I felt I didn't need to be on my guard for aggressive up-selling. The woman in front was very nice too! This is the only place I will continue to go to in Herndon.

A-1 Car Care is the only mechanic I trust! I've been going for about 10 years now and they have always been dependable and honest. They don't try to upsell me and Cavin is great about telling me if something is needed or not and how long it can wait. Whether it needs to be fixed asap or if it can wait til next payday. Their rates are also cheaper than other places I've been to. They're definitely trustworthy mechanics that I highly recommend!

A1 Car Care provides such a great customer service as well as the car service! I have been their customer for about 3years now and never been this satisfied with any other car reparing shops. Some other people on the review says angry man but I don t know what angry man they are talking about because they have the most nice people working there. And most importantly, the price is reasonable. They don t charge me for things that doesn t really need to get fixed. I recommend this place to all my friends and families and to all of you reading this review! :)

We started taking our cars to A-1 at the recommendation of a neighbor (after we had gotten ripped off at one of the national chain shops). They do only the work that is needed and can always fit me in. They always explain what my options are and whether it makes sense to go for the higher cost option or not. The work is ready when they say it will be, and have always been very friendly. I have recommended them to others who have also been happy with them.

My second time going there I try to explain to the owner that he has to replace the windshield stick something simple, because he wanted to get rid of the old windshield. But instead he vilvio to install it and when I complained he brought me he began to scream, to get angry and repeating the same thing for more than 20 minutes, I told him to calm down and in return he showed me the door. an inappropriate and unprofessional way of dealing with his cliques. this guy needs anger classes. In fact, the first time I got to do a car check, I left about $ 5 in the car. when I return they were gone, which speaks a lot about the people who work there.Services: Auto glass repair, General repairs & maintenance

They were very professional and friendly when I went there for a state inspection. They showed me on the car everything that was wrong and explained it very clearly. The work was done quickly and inexpensively. I'm so glad i found this shop, I am new up here and an honest mechanic is priceless!

First of all, the old Asian dude behind the counter needs to learn to take a deep breath and calm down before talking to customers. I came in to get my car checked after having been to a couple other mechanics. I told him what the other mechanics said and asked him if he could take a look and tell me his price. Instead, this man started telling me that I was underestimating the situation and how I don't understand how the process of diagnosis works. Well of course I don't know the details but as a customer I expect a car repair shop to calmly explain what the problem is instead of the worker raising his voice at me and getting argumentative. Very rude and unprofessional. His demeanor and sour attitude turned me off. I strongly urge you not to go to this third rate shop. You'll be saving your time, money, and dignity.

I had a screw in my tire. Even though it was almost closing time, they squeezed me in and got it fixed fast. I couldn't be more pleased! Friendly and fast service.

Brought car in multiple times for same problem. Issue was never fixed, will not bring car back again, nor can I recommend A-1 since Cavin has left.

Cavin and Jenny have been taking care of our family's car repairs for more than fifteen years. I came there because their repair estimates were reasonable compared to other local repair places; I stayed with them because you will not find a more honest car repair place that does more reliable work. If my car didn't really need a repair, Cavin would tell me. If I suspected a more expensive repair, sometimes Cavin would diagnose and find a less expensive solution. Some people may not like the bad news about what's wrong with their car, and yes, sometimes it is a big expense. But at least Cavin is going to tell it like it is, and get your car working right.

We have taken our all of our vehicles to A1 Auto care. They get fixed properly every time. Kevin takes the time to inspect them and make sure the vehicles are done right. We recommend this place to anybody that has mechanical issues with their vehicles.
