I have had my car serviced regularly through Virginia tire and auto since last 5 years but this specific location has been nothing but a bad bad experience. I got my oil changed and noticed some oil burning in my cabin after some days, when i popped the hood open i found out that they had not put any engine oil cap.In previous instance, i was charged extra for almost 50 dollars extra as they did not provide me with any discount that came with my my Car Club membership (includes discount on labor, free tire rotations etc). When i later confronted them ( not once but twice) they would simply send me back saying the manager would contact me within some days. One day they said the manager is in his lunch and would call me back immediately after which i never received. I have had every single of my car repairs and works done through Va tire and auto, and it is very sad i have to move away due to poor professionalism in this location. If you find any other location, VA tire and auto take care of your car in great way but this location lacks that extra love for your vehicle which they usually provide.

I just had all three of our vehicles oil changed and all three were in a timely manor!Communication was punctual and staff was kind. Shout-out to Kay at the front desk who not only had my name memorized but also other customers as well!Kay had a very strong/welcoming personality and made this location VA tire/auto stand out to me.

We dropped our 2 cars off over 2 days for some routine work. We were helped with checking-in and picking-up for both cars by Mazen. He was an absolute delight. He was professional, extremely polite, and thorough. I have been bringing my cars to VA Tire since 1987 and for the most part all of the employees have been very good. I just wanted to single out Mazen for his good work.

I have been going to this location for years and I ve always had great service but this time was outstanding! I went in for my usual oil change and was greeted and by Brandon who checked me in. We cleared up some things regarding my appointment and I was good to go.As I waited, Kay came on shift and I was amazed with how she treated everyone. Kay greeted everyone with enthusiasm even while multitasking between the phone, the customer, and the techs. Each conversation was full of attention, compassion, and a big smile. It was relatively busy but Kay still managed to make a personal connection with each person or even recognize a familiar face and a previous conversation.After a little while, Kay brought me my estimate and informed me my car would be ready soon. Shorty after, I had the pleasure of checking out with Kay myself. She gave me the same attention as she did others and we conversed about a mutual interest. People like Kay and Brandon are why I always recommend and take my car to Virginia Tire and Auto Centreville.

First and last time. I went in for a tire plug. Pulled up to the building and the only handicap spot was blocked. My fiance walked in to ask the car be moved. AJ argued with him about a spot that wasn't open till he was in there asking about someone moving the car. A customer got up and moved his car so I could park. Going into the building (I'm in a wheelchair) I was right behind AJ and the door was closed as I was trying to go in.After 30 min I was told they couldn't plug my tire and needed to replace two tires because the nail was in the tire the wrong way.I left immediately and went somewhere else. They had no problem plugging my tire. Absolutely ridiculous trying to up sale me on a tire plug. I knew very well they could plug it. Lying to a customer who needs the help is poor customer service. DO NOT GO HERE. Several customers were frustrated with the workers and service as well. Not a good look.

Used to be a good reliable shop. Not so much anymore. Had service done to replace front tires today. I had my rear tires replaced here and they didnt even have that in their system. I also had my coolant flushed and filled here just last year and they didnt even fill the coolant correctly. There is an overflow tank in the chevy camaros and they completely forgot to fill that tank. How is a mechanic not knowledgeable about stuff like that? And of course I didnt notice it until i opened my hood a month later and then its too late to bring it up to them to get it resolved because even if I did try to say something to them they would likely give me the runaround. And then when i go in to get my tires replaced today, they tell me my coolant is low and needs to be filled....imagine that. They have also raised prices significantly and you can tell they are losing business. I live across the street and see this place everyday and they are no where near as packed or busy as they used to be back in the day. I learned my lesson and will be taking my car to the dealership for service from now on.

I brought my vehicle in for a tire replacement, and after picking it up discovered damage to the rims. I understand there is a risk of damage. Some scuffs/scrapes would not be a big deal, but 3 of the rims had portions of the finish completely chipped off (2 of which were larger than a quarter and 1 where the aluminum underneath was also gouged. When I brought it back to ask what could be done the manager tried to tell me the damage was old, but they would look into it and call me back the next day. Never got a call. I would expect a business with tire in the name is capable of completing a tire change without this level of damage. If they can't do something this simple without causing damage, then I would not trust them to do more extensive service and repairs.

Fraud alert. Went in for two tires in and emergency as my tire had been cut on the sidewall due to debis in the road. (I am a very good mechanic by the way) The price was very high in comparison to my normal guy but ok I get it i am in emergency mode. While waiting i am overhearing the conversations with other customers (First one was that the light is on and that the cost for the Catalytic converter with be over 2k. Second was about and inspection is requiring major front end work at over 1k and then they came to me to try to get a front end alignment done of which was definitely not needed) They finished up and i paid the due amount and then had to go to the car and put the spare away properly as it was just thrown in the back and then after a few miles I realized that the tires were way out of balance of which was confirmed by my normal mechanic the next day. This is not the place to go and after talking with one of the sister stores they stated that they do not send anyone to this store as it is well known what is happening. I tried to call the manager of this store and never got a return phone call from him. Buyer beware.

Disappointed in the bait and switch. Called for a valve stem replacement for vehicle with working TPMS system. Was told that they have the valve stem I needed but when they inspected my tire the valve stem I wanted to replace went from a slow leak to inoperable. They did not have the valve stem I came in for and instead suggested a new TPMS that works with the valve stems they have for $100+. Ended up getting just the valve stem so I can drive the vehicle out of there for $30. So spent $30 and an hour of my time to be in the same position I was in before I got there. Net of the story is they didn t have the part they said they had and made my situation worse than when I got there

My first time there to have my emissions done. It was quick and had no issues. One plus they have against a lot of other places is they have a spot for kids to play. It was perfect as I had my daughter with me and she loved it.

If I could rate this place 0 stars, I would. Son took his car there and they failed it - saying he needed new sway bar links and an alignment. 4 brand new tires and an alignment were completed two days prior at Hogan & Sons. They NEVER mentioned the sway bar links as a problem - other things, yes, but not that...and they completed the alignment! Took it somewhere else and it passed with no problems. VA Tire & Auto in Centreville do not have honest techs. They will just take your money. Take your money and your time elsewhere!

Have been going to Va Tire for over 20 years and have spent tens of thousands on our families 7 cars in that time span.Increasingly shady business here. They ll give you an estimate and then call back and add a bunch of items once you agree to move forward.Same is true if you fail a safety inspection. They ll recommend services and then come back and tell you there s other items you need to get fixed or it won t pass.Service is not team oriented. If you re concierge is out for the day or for the week no one else will help you because they won t receive a commission.Will no longer be a customer of this establishment or any of their other locations.UPDATE: I took my car to another shop and was quoted a vastly different price for the most recent work required.$1150 instead of the over $3k that VA Tire was quoting me.My family will no longer be customers of Va tire & auto.

I have been going to Virginia Tire and Auto for over 5 years and have always found the quality of service and professionalism to be best in class. Kay, in particular provided excellent service when I was there yesterday for an oil change. Keep up the great work.

There is a young man named Trevor who works there ( Virginia Tire and Auto, Centreville location), who has impeccable customer service. Everyone that walked through that door he greeted and acknowledged while checking out another customer or while answering the phones. Everyone that was waiting on their vehicles he kept them updated. This young man was professional and polite. I had to write this review because it's been awhile since I've experienced good customer service.

I recommended this site to a friend of mine to get his inspection done on his Mazda. Turns out, they charge $20 for inspection!They failed his vehicle for small marker lights. They weren t out, the orange film was just slightly wearing out. The inspector failed him and put a rejection sticker on the car. My friend asked for a quote to replace the bulbs and they quoted him around $100 to replace 2 tiny markers that were still working but just had the film slightly worn. With the rejection sticker, my friend drove to a local parts store, got the bulbs for around $5, put them in in less than 5 minutes, went back to get the rejection sticker off from the shop, and they charged him an extra $1 this time for re-inspection . That s the last time I recommend anyone to this site. I had heard that it s been going downhill over the years after the ownership change, but I didn t imagine it was this bad. I remember they used to focus on the customer service aspect of their day to day. Looks like that is no longer the way they do things.Service: Vehicle safety inspection

Came in for an oil change and state inspection. Waited 4 hours and noticed my vehicle was removed from the property and stored in a nieghboring parking lot for some time during this 4 hours. I will never come back to this location for anything again

Tire with a leak: Quoted 45min-1hr.... 2 hours later they couldn't even find the leak, and they lost the factory stem cap. Took it somewhere else and they had it identified and fixed in under 45min.

This place is the worst. We have been using this location for all our car needs and the quality of service had deteriorated to absolute rock bottom. It s a shame because the location is close so it s very convenient. It s the only reason we ve stayed with them for as long as we have despite everything. This last service we had was the final straw. We went for a tire rotation and the tires are all over the place. The tires were making sound. They can t even rotate tires correctly. I m so fed up with their service that, I didn t bother going back to have them fix it. Instead I went to my dealer s service center and got it redone. I would highly recommend for you to stay away from this location.

I would give them a zero if I could. The level of customer service has really gone down over the past year.Made an online appointment and upon arrival at 430 was required to wait 10 minutes in line and then the he/she asked how can they help me and I said I have a 430 appointment and was told that I was 15 minutes late and that they would have to keep my car overnight. I was in shock because all I had was a nail in my tire, the unexperienced person advised me that I could pick up my car the next day at which point I left to another tire place no appointment and they were able to plug the tire in 20 minutes and I was done for the day. I would not recommend this place to anyone and I would give them a zero if I could, and I will never be returning to this place ever again due to the lack of unacknowledged employee, and due to the way I was treated and the disrespect as a customer was very unprofessional.

Being a female, I think that some mechanics try to overcharge or suggest unneeded services. VA tire & auto makes me feel comfortable and is my initial go-to shop.

Went in for a car inspection and it got rejected for marker lights of all things. MARKER LIGHTS!! They then quoted me $100 for them to get it replaced so my car could pass!! I asked them if I could quickly get my own bulbs and replace them myself from advanced auto which is not even 5 miles down the road, and they refused to give any leniency. Having been a former veteran employee back when Myron the founder was running things, I'm shocked at the complete and utter downgrade in understanding and generosity to the customer. It wasn't just talk the talk, but actually walk the walk in terms of treating the customer as part of family. I'm honestly surprised it's still in business with Mike and Julie Holmes running it like this. I wanted to believe they weren't as bad as their reputation had gotten, but they sure did prove me wrong. I will not be going back and neither should you.

They charged me- $70.83 for Cabin Air Filter Replacement- $64.60 for Engine Air Filter ReplacementThey also charge all their customers for additional $15.07 under the name of "Shop Supplies".I wish I could have reviewed the price before allowing to make them the replacement.Service: Air & cabin filter replacement

I came here for a tire repair - they had me waiting for two hours, just to tell me they cannot repair my tire, and they tried to sell me 4 new tires. I'm not buying new tires from a place that wasted two hours of my time. Other tire & auto locations have been significantly better and faster. Not coming back here unless I want to waste time for nothing again. :)

The best customer service ever. Professional, on-point, fast with quality. Even the mechanics are very helpful when it comes to understanding the services that are required and wanted. They take the time to explain and go over the bill with ease. I believe this is a great aspect of the customer service when it comes to communicate the services that are going to take place. And this location does exactly that.Always had great experience with this location. The best place for every service without the dealership prices.
