What's not to love about this amazing inn in a fabulous location. Tammy and Jim are amazing in every way. Service provided was top notch. Food was delicious. Communication was clear and left nothing for chance. Tammy even called ahead to a restaurant we were going to be having dinner at to let them know we were celebrating our anniversary. The owner of the restaurant provided us each a glass of champagne on the house in celebration. And that is just one example of the service Tammy and Jim provide -- it's above and beyond. We would stay here again over and over again. Book with confidence. Your every need will be cared for.

The PERFECT get away. Quiet, romantic, small town vibes. 24 hour coffee and tea bar. They offer breakfast and lunch downstairs and don t have to be a guest to eat there. I recommend staying a night for couples that want a romantic weekend together. They have bikes you can use in the back as well to explore the town.Nearby activities: Mini golf, local shops and a great tavern bar.Food & drinks: Downstairs they offer breakfast/lunch food. Excellent, what you expect your grandma to make on a Sunday morning.

We absolutely loved our stay at Bay Haven. Tammy and Jim are gracious, detail oriented, guest focused hosts. They have thought of everything to make your stay fabulous. The sheets and towels are delightful and the breakfasts were the best we ve had at any B&B. From the rosemary lined entrance which sets up your stay, to the immaculately clean home, this was a shear joy to experience.Keep on blessing your community, they are truly blessed that you call Cape Charles home.

My wife and I had a fabulous stay at Bay Haven Inn. Very peaceful location and also close to downtown. The hosts were very accommodating and ensured we have everything we needed and we were comfortable. The Inn was spotless and had beautiful places to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or beer. A beautiful Park is adjacent to the Inn that made for a wonderful early morning walk. Will definitely be going back.

What a grand old lady of a house in quaint Cape Charles! Bay Haven Inn delighted me with her gorgeous wraparound porch and soaring ceilings and beautiful furnishings. This place achieves a perfect balance of historic charm and airy comfort, and the quiet bedroom was to die for! Tammy, the innkeeper, anticipates and answers every need, responsive and helpful without ever hovering. Her breakfasts are lovely, between the excellent food and lively conversation. True Southern graciousness, and I could have stayed forever!

What a wonderful getaway! Exceptional hospitality, southern at its finest! I arrived in Cape Charles several hours before check in, while having brunch, I got a text from Tammy saying my room was ready early, if I wanted to check in! Lovely room, comfy bed, delicious breakfast each morning! Best thing, sitting on the porch having coffee in the morning and during a rainstorm having a glass of wine in the afternoon. Great suggestions on things to do and restaurants to try, all were perfect. Will definitely go again.

Spent three lovely days at the Bay Haven Inn. Well appointed rooms, loved hearing about the history of the old house. But I have to say I think that the hosts Tammy and Jim were very cordial and accommodating to our needs. They added special treats that weren't expected. Also the breakfasts were delicious. We highly recommend this B&B for anyone.

My husband and I just returned from staying at the Bay Haven Inn this past weekend for our babymoon! It was the perfect place to stay for our relaxing, peaceful getaway at Cape Charles. Tammy & Jim are such great hosts and innkeepers; they were kind, easy to talk to, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. They shared all about the history of the town and the inn itself, and they gave us recommendations of places to go to. Their breakfasts are so delicious and top notch, and they take a lot from their own garden. The inn itself is gorgeous and was pristine. We felt it was cleaner than any hotel room we've stayed in by far. Truly an outstanding bed and breakfast experience!

What an amazing find! We recently spent a weekend here and are so glad that we did. They don't have a lot of rooms, but if you can find some availability, I highly recommend it. The rooms are very well appointed and the hosts are magnificent. They have thought of every detail to make the stay special. It wouldn't be a bed and breakfast without the breakfast and the breakfast here is among the best I have had. The breakfast was fresh, exquisite and unique. Unlike other places I have stayed where breakfast is an after thought, Bay Haven makes it a highlight.

April 2023, my husband and I took our first vacation in 3 years. It was magic from beginning to end. Bay Haven Inn is simply beautiful - elegant, spacious and historic, but still relaxed and comfortable. Tammy & Jim were the best hosts. Breakfasts were gourmet delicious, and we truly enjoyed hearing about the history of the town. Great conversations with other guests. The Inn was totally booked, but never felt crowded. Our room was very private. Golf-carted to the beach, shops and several top notch Cape Charles restaurants. An unforgettable weekend of true "R & R". Thanks to the Holloway's!

My guy and I just returned from a wonderful birthday weekend at the Bay Haven Inn Bed & Breakfast. Walking up the steps to our B&B, we knew we were in for a beautiful experience. Tammy and Jim were the perfect hosts. The amenities, the warmth of the entire place, our room, our gourmet breakfasts, these are just a few mentions of what we loved. I think what we loved most though was Tammy and Jim. The stories they shared made us feel like family. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

Tammy and Jim are wonderful Hosts!!! I used to visit Cape Charles in the 70's when most all houses in the community were in disrepair! It's a NEW community today. In part, due to Tammy's involvement in the community. She and others in the community have made it a place that you want to visit! The house is lovely and comfortable. The breakfast is great. Oh yeah, Tammy is also a Master Gartner!!

It's all been said here, so simply "seconding" what others have said. Tammy and Jim and lovely hosts, and excellent at orienting their guests to the charming treasures of Cape Charles. The house / room(s) are comfortable and accommodating. Breakfasts by the hosts were always special.I will also say that the atmosphere (of the town and this B&B) is such that encourages socialization... we very much enjoyed meeting an mixing with the other guests (while also having our privacy). We found that, in touring this small town, dropping Tammy's name at any restaurant or store was a passport to be welcomed anywhere, as she has become well-regarded around town.

The home is historic & gorgeous. Our room the Alyce Wilson was large and very comfortable & private bath. We fell right to sleep in the comfy bed after driving around all day in our rented golf cart. At night we sat on the covered side porch & loved the breezes on the swing. Innkeepers Tammy & Jim were very friendly & the breakfasts were filling & delicious. Such nice people. Highly recommend Bay Haven Inn you won't be sorry.

Staying at Bay Haven Inn was a delightful experience. The Inn is in the historic district of Cape Charles and is centrally located just a short walk from the Mason Ave downtown area with shops and restaurants, the beach, and the rest of the historic district. We stayed in the James Wright room and it was tastefully decorated, with a very comfortable queen size bed. The bathroom is small but worked fine for my wife and I. TV with Dish service and Wi-Fi was included. The living rooms and porches at the inn are very comfortable. Tammy, the owner, made a delicious breakfast of a ham and egg souffl, fruit, and home baked pastries. The best part was that Tammy came and sat with us at breakfast to chat and gave the guests the history of the inn and the town, and a lot of information about current events in the town. She s a great source of information about where to eat and things to do in the area. There are only 4 guest rooms so make your reservations early. We ll go back again for sure.Rooms: Very nicely decorated and comfortable. Dish TV and Wi-Fi included.Walkability: Within a few blocks of downtown and the beaches.

My wife and I had been to Cape Charles quite a few times but never overnight. We just returned from 3 night stay at the Bay Haven Inn. Tammy and Jim are perfect hosts. They have a beautifully restored historic home and we stayed in the Alyce Wilson room. Spotless clean ! Go online and see how beautiful it is. The breakfasts were excellent. Super nice hosts and guides to the area. They seem to know everyone and everyone knows and speaks kindly about them. Again, Perfect hosts for a getaway. We will go back again.

Tammy and Jim are two very wonderful innkeepers that make you feel like you are at home. We thoroughly enjoyed our two day stay and definitely plan to visit them again. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and the breakfasts are prepared by Jim who is most definitely a first rate chef! They engage everyone not only at breakfast but during the evenings to make everyone feel right at home. The overall rating from us is .........Awesome!!

This was our first trip to Cape Charles, and we had the best time! Tammy and Jim s bed and breakfast, Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles, was perfectly splendid and made our weekend very relaxing and comfortable. The house is so pretty, and very festive with holiday decorations. The location is really great because you can walk easily to the beach, historic downtown shops and restaurants, and you are next to a huge park. Our guest room suite with bathroom was not only well appointed with nice furnishings but it was spacious, very clean, and everything was provided that we wanted like bathrobes, coffee maker and more. We arrived Friday late afternoon, and had champagne and Jim s homemade chocolate covered strawberries on their gorgeous front porch. We sat in cushy porch chairs relaxing and planning our weekend. The hot breakfast that Jim and Tammy serve each morning at nine is simply divine, garden fresh, and all homemade. I would recommend Bay Haven Inn to any couple that is looking for a fun and charming get away.

A stay at the The Bay Haven Inn was a lovely way to relax and enjoy the Cape Charles area. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last. Our hosts, Tammy and Jim, were attentive and very hospitable. Our days began with decadent breakfasts of stuffed French toast, egg and ham souffl and scrumptious sweet potato ham biscuits. Fresh squeezed juices and a special coffee blend rounded out the meal that could rival any restaurant brunch. Our room was clean and so very comfortable and cozy! The inn is a short five minute walk to the town s center of restaurants and shops. We will definitely be back!
