Worst service! If i could give a 0,i would!I had a rattling sound from my wheels and smoke from my engine. I came here to fix the problem. They gave me a quotation for $1k. For changing valve cover gasket,stabilizer bar replacement, disk rotor change, brake shoe pads replacement and shock/strut change. I didnt have severe noise that is why I excluded the strut change and decided to do the others for $600. ($303 part +$280 labor)When they delivered my car I immeditely found some issues.1. Engine was shaking like crazy. My engine was completely smooth before they handled my car. So I asked them. They said my engine misfired. Then they tried to blame that on my engine checklight engine which was there before and it was for O2 sensor. I checked that earlier in Advanced autos. I didnt buy this explanation. Then after a while they found out it was a fitting error and they forgot to plug in a hose/pipe sort of thing. Thats why the engine was shaking like crazy. Totally unacceptable.2. Whenever I tried to drive my car, bad metallunc sound was coming from the frame. They said it was coming before they did anything its not their fault. As per them,the only way to solve this is changing the struts which they recommended earlier.I was in total dismay to now fix my car with another $600 and seeing the current condition of my relatively perfect car before.Fortunately,I didnt go to them and checked my car with another mechanic. He took only an hour to fix my car. But the alarming thing is what he found!1. He found out that there were a lot of misfittings. Walnut changed my brake unit,but the screws were loose. I posted a video where you can see I can rotate the screws with my bare hands!!2. The metallic noise which was coming after their service was due to another major misfitting. It turns out when they changed the stabilizer control unit,they didnt fit it properly and whenever i was driving, this was damaging my car frame. You can see the fresh scratch mark in the photo I have attached. It turns out the problem was not with my strut,rather the setting Walnaut did.3. I had some AC problems. I asked them to have a look. They said they'll charge $75 just to inspect. I am glad i didnt check. But they lost my intake cap too somehow! Otherwise they would mess that up too. I later fixed that with a $11 gas canister.I just feel that they were very unprofessional with my case and tried to blame my car whereas the problem was with their ability and fixing. Never going back there again. Just horrible.

Came in originally for an alignment ended up needing a steering idle arm and a steering Pitman arm with no hesitation they had the parts brought down, same day installed, and did the alignment all within a couple hours. Amazing service. Highly recommend. Also they have the cheapest alignments around in Blacksburg and christiansburg I called every other place. Trust me.

Clay, George, and Jerry, are the only people i honestly trust working on my vehicles. George has been my mechanic for 8 years now and wouldnt let anyone else touch my rides.

Did a horrible job, had to redo a majority of the work they did, rushed it, lost some of the stuff I had on/ didn t put it back on the right. I m changing my review for the 3rd and final time. Found out why there was about a inch gap between my headlights and my bumper.. you guys didn t install ANY of the bumper supports. That means the bumper was only supported by the 4 clips that hold the grill to the rad support. 4 plastic retainer clips were holding on everything. (It would flop around when I d hit bumps ect)The only decent thing you guys did was the paint. The paint looks great. But everything else was horrible. I took off the bumper and re installed everything myself in the span of about 3 hours. You guys took almost a month with my truck and it s almost insulting of how bad the quality was. I used to be able to fit my entire hand between the gaps between the headlights and grill fenders. I fixed most of the issues now, but considering I payed you guys to fix it is why I just can t give you a good recommendation. You guys also didn t reinstall the mid flaps and even reused the screws from them to install the inner fender and I found for the rear you had the mud flap head up with one out of 3 screws. The only thing I will recommend you guys for is the paint. It has some flaws but overall it looks basically like factory and whoever did it did a great job. And the people I talked while I was there seemed nice.

Worst place with worst mechanics. My car had a light humming noise from the back. These guys completely misdiagnosed the issue saying it s due to faulty wheel bearing and charged me 800 bucks. The noise was still there after their fix, i went to them again, and this time they said that the transmission and brake have gone bad. Later i found out that the noise was because of viscous coupling disengagement which was a whole different thing than what they said.

Great service! Staffs are very friendly and try to fix any problems with your car. Oil change was fairly priced. I might visit this place for my car s next oil change or repairs if needed. I recommend this service center.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND these guys! I went to another car shop in town (Campus Automotive), and they wanted over $1,000 of repairs to pass my car for state inspection, but Walnut Spring Auto got my car up in running AND passed state inspection for just a fraction of the cost. Don't let these other shops in town haggle you. Go to these guys! They will definitely be receiving my business again!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair

I always have my doubts when it comes to any mechanic or repair shop, but Clay and George and the staff proved beyond any doubts that they are NOT like everyone else. Fast and friendly, prompt and professional. Walnut Spring Auto is hands down the best mechanic shop in the NRV... Probably the state... I have a fleet of 6 vehicles that I will now only trust to them. Just AWESOME!

ok, I was really happy about their service. I used to visit Clay for every repair/fluid change services while I was in Blacksburg. A year ago, I bought my car and realized it had a power steering leak problem. I came to Walnut and fixed it! (according to them at least its fixed!!). I also replaced my transmission fluid the same time. Today I went to inspect my car to another repair shop at Fairfax (I moved here a month ago). Now, the mechanic told me my power steering has still a leak. Not only that, my transmission fluid is very dark, and it needs to be replaced. I went to two other mechanic shop to re-check and they both said the same thing. How can someone's transmission fluid needs to be replaced within a year? I drove my car <7000 miles.Now, I am really concerned about their honesty and clarity.

Clay and his guys are hardworking and ridiculously fair. As a student who lives away from home (my dad does most of my work), it really is so reassuring to know I have people I can trust here in Blacksburg. They take care of their customers like everyone is family. With awesome prices, quality work and efficient turn arounds, I will absolutely be going back to Walnut Springs.

Clay is probably the most humble and kind mechanic you will ever have the joy of meeting. I have a 2001 VW Jetta that had a major oil leak leading to the corruption of my electrical system. Clay and his team spent a ridiculous amount of time researching and working to fix my vehicle. This shop is so much more affordable than the Bug Shop and Clay will do everything in his power to get you in good shape. Walnut Spring Auto should be considered a Volkswagen/European specialist but without the scary price tag. After tracing just about every wire and connection in my car, Clay was able to save me and my nearly antique vehicle at a FRACTION of the cost that it could have been. Thankful to have finally found an honest and fair mechanic in the Blacksburg area. IF YOU HAVE A EUROPEAN VEHICLE and don't want to lose an arm or leg paying to get things fixed, take a short drive down to Walnut Spring Auto. I highly recomend them especially if you are a student looking for *affordable* help! I could not speak more highly of Clay and his shop.

Never go there, Total waste of time and energy. The worst place ever. Never keeps there promise and unprofessional behavior as well as work.I wish I can give negative star. They don't even deserve 1 star.

It took them forever to fix your car here and the manner of the staff is extremely rude. They spend over a week and just won't do the simple painting for me. Never ever come to here.
