We recently had car trouble while in town visiting our daughter (actually on the night before we supposed to leave to head back home). My husband took our car to Price's the next morning. While they weren't able to service our car for us that day as they were very busy, they took the time to take a look at it and help us diagnose it, checked a few things and provided a solution for us that helped us determine that we were able to make it all the way home to our regular mechanic. We are so incredibly grateful as we had to get back home to work, and really couldn't afford to stay in town for several more days to wait for it to get fixed. Highly recommend Price's

I am new in town. I had steering hoses replaced previously and on my mind I believe something is still leaking. Came in talked to Mr. Steve. He diagnosed and test it out. He told me it is not leaking. I'm not sure. Maybe his shop is completely booked for the next 2 weeks Anyway, I can tell he is honest and willing to help. Thank you Sir! Lovely town and people. I'm from Florida and people is not that nice.

I love Price s Service Station. They are honest, do a great job and very reasonable. I highly recommend them. I also get my gas there. My car runs better and I get better gas mileage with the gas with no ethanol. I was told I needed a new catalytic converter from a different place. I started using gas with no ethanol and I never had to change the catalytic converter. It is a little more, but with the extra gas mileage and my car running better, it is well worth it.

One of the most friendliest garages in Blacksburg! They're transparent, upfront about the required costs. I had a regular oil change. There was also an issue with the check engine light. They were kind enough to diagnose the problem for me free and also suggested proper steps to be aware of. I highly recommend this garage.

My daughter is a senior at VT and her Honda Fit s door actuator failed so that the driver s side door wouldn t shut. Price s Service Center was able to fix it the same day that she brought it in and for a reasonable price. Robert was extremely helpful, friendly, and honest. I d definitely recommend Price s to other Hokie parents and everyone!

Just brought my car to Price's for the first time for a pretty expensive repair. They were incredibly honest about how long it would take, and the repair also ended up costing LESS than they said it would. They fixed another problem and didn't charge me any extra. Great experience, I will be coming back for sure.Edit 11/2020:I took my car in for state inspection, and they got it done so fast. The only repair they said it needed was a small repair they mentioned last time I took it in in June. I'm a fairly new car owner, and they made the experience super easy and stress free

My son is a Tech student and lately it seems as though his vehicle has service needs that can't wait.Considering that I'm 275 miles away, I take comfort in knowing that there's a capable, reasonably priced garage run by some of the nicest and most honest folks that I've dealt with.Our last service required a complete front brake job and bearing hub replacement. A big job. I made an appointment with Steve and it was done that day.Robert's communication was courteous, thorough and concise. They also discovered an issue that needed immediate attention and fixed that as well.I'm a car guy, and I can vouch for Price's level of expertise.I wish we had a garage like Prices here in the DC area.

Great service, Great pricing, Great customer service, Fair and Honest. Had my daughters car in there (a Va. Tech student) a year ago and they were talking about a possible $1300 fix. Robert made some calls, did a little research and $110 later it was the Temp Control that was malfunctioning. I highly recommend them.

I just want to say Thank you to Price s Service Center. My son is a student at VT and his car would not start. Had car towed on a Sunday evening and left on Price s lot. I chose Price s based on overall reviews. Called Monday morning and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Back on the road. Very fair and helped us out in a pinch. We now have a local Blacksburg mechanic. Thanks fellas!

Our son moved 6hrs away to go to VT. As soon as we left,literally 2hrs, lights lit up on the dash. We read reviews and he decided to take it to Prices. They were great. The repair was taken care of and was less than the quoted amount.. I recommend them to all VT students!!

On a long trip we need to get our car examined on short notice. We brought it in in the morning and they were able to take care of it that day and allow us to continue with the trip. I really appreciated that they were able to take care of my issue, during what looked like a very busy day.

Fair, honest place. Really glad to have found this place when I moved down here. They work hard to keep your car going. No matter what im getting done They look over my car each time I come in here and will walk me out to the garage to show me something that needs to be fixed or replaced before they do it. This place gives me a lot of confidence for when I'm on the road knowing they keep up with the maintenance on my car so well. I highly recommend prices center.

I've tried nearly every mechanic in town for one job or another. These are the guys I keep coming back to. Their pricing is fair, they're friendly, and fix things quickly. Most importantly, though, I know that they will take the time to correctly diagnose an issue before repairing it. My car is 14 years old, and some of the other highly rated shops in the area have completely misread the problems it has. Catalytic converter and senors shot? No, that's actually a bad muffler. CV joint needs to be replaced? Nope, that's just a dirty seal. I trust Price's Service Center because they get to the bottom of the symptoms, call me to discuss options, and then fix what's *actually* causing them.

I told them all I need is a failed state inspection sticker and oil change. I do know my headlight was not in working condition because I took the connector off my self. And they charged me 16.25 for so called "fixed your headlight". All they did was connected a freaking connector and they made it sounds like they did a lot of work on it. Absolutely disgusting. They also filled up my windshield washer fluid for 3.74, which I did NOT request whatsoever.With all this you may think they helped me "fixed" everything right? Nope, they only did what they may put charges on me. The tire pressure was low and they didn't inflate it. I would guess because they can't really charge you for air, so why do it when it won't make money right?I'm glad that I'm leaving Blacksburg real soon. No more headache for me.

Great honest service. My daughter went there because she had a bent rim and a check engine light. $67 later the rim was replaced and the light diagnosed. We were told it was the O2 sensor, approx $300 to replace. They want us to run some fuel system cleaner through a tank of gas and see if that would take care of the problem. So they reset the light, put a bottle of fuel system cleaners do sent us on our way. I have never had a service garage have is try a cheaper option first. Also the cheapest I could find a rim for was $65. They replaced the rim and diagnosed the problem for less they I could find parts for!! Customer service at its best!

I ve been to numerous mechanics in the New River Valley for around 20 years. Price s has shown the most integrity and honesty of any other in or around Blacksburg.

I absolutely trust the folks at Price's. I go there for oil changes, inspections, weird car noises - they've never failed to help me out. They never try to sneak in any extra charges, as some places do. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The only problem is sometimes there are so many cars in the lot, you can't find a place to park!

Swell folk but I sure did I get done over. Brought it in some months ago for a tire fix and rotation. They ended up failing to fix the tire, and did an oil change instead of a rotation. Tire leaks worse than before. In the oil change they impacted the drain plug in so hard I can't get it off no matter what. They stripped the hex out my oil filter cap too, can't get that off. Sure are some nice folk there but they have absolutely screwed me.

Best place to take your vehicle for service. Hands down. Been taking my truck to them for years and trust them explicitly. High quality work, honest people and pricing. You'd be hard pressed to find somewhere better.

Very nice and honest staff. They were even able to fix my vehicle for less than anticipated and it runs without any issues now. Will definitely be taking it back there for any future issues that come up!

The most trustworthy, affordable, and honest mechanics in the area. No matter how busy, your car will be ready in a couple of days max. They make you feel welcome and comfortable, and thoroughly explain things, so you aren't left feeling intimidated or overwhelmed.

I went to Campus Automotive to have my car inspected. They "suggested" a number of repairs in very strong language, but they wouldn't tell me, exactly, how my car was in need of those repairs. So, I called Robert to ask if he could give me a second opinion. Not only did he allow me to bring my car in so he could check my fluids, he taught me what to look for -- the color of my break fluid, for example. He also taught me a lot about oil change intervals. On top of that, he wouldn't even let me pay him for labor. Robert was so honest and kind and sincere that I felt like I'd been going to Price's for 20 years. I won't be taking my car anywhere else and I will be recommending Price's to anyone and everyone.

So good to know I have a trustworthy shop while my kids are at VT. They have been great to work with each of the 3 times my son needed auto services, accommodated my requests and didn't try to rip me off. I wish I had a shop like this near where I live.

Real 100% gas, no ethanol. If you have an older car you should get your gas here. I've had them service my vehicles as well and they did a fine job. Good local service shop.
