Excellent service, same day in my case. Friendly staff, knowledgeable mechanics that talked to me like a person and didn't send instructions for my husband like I've had before. Definitely recommend, it's hard to find an auto body shop that is knowledgeable, upfront, and honorable.

This place is like an oasis in the desert. It's not easy finding a good auto repair shop in a place as remote as Beaverdam. They have always been fair and honest with me. Prices are reasonable. If you're lucky Steve will take you home in the Rat Rod as part of his shuttle service. What could be more "boss"?

My brake light bulb needed changing, I went here and they charged me $60 to change a light bulb. I live in Beaverdam and it would have been nice to make a relationship with a local mechanic but I ll never go back. After the 15 minute service was complete and I questioned the $60 to screw in a light bulb I got the biggest smug attitude from the little guy. Their word of mouth is true way over charged.

The crew at Clem's really took care of me. I was headed in to work and after coming up Union Church rd my right front tire area was clicking and rubbing. I pulled into Clem's and they were finishing up a inspection. I told them what was going on and they jumped right on it. After checking everything the guys told me I might need to leave it there and it was a holiday weekend so they wouldn't be back until tuesday. After they checked prices for parts they told me they would get it done within a couple hours. The fellas even corrected some work that I recently had done. Im very pleased and will recommend Clems tire and auto to anyone passing through the Beaverdam area

Took my vehicle there to have the heater core replaced. Was quoted $1000 to $1500. When I went to pick it up I was told $2200. After my son looked at invoice we saw where they charged me for 6 more hours of labor than the book called for. When I called to complain I was told there's no way it only takes 10 hours. After looking it up the owner called me back, apologized for not checking his techs time but in the same breath made sure to say that the Ford dealership charges more per hour. After deducting the overcharged amount it came to what I was originally quoted. He also charged me $45 00 to put in a $3.00 bulb for inspection instead of calling me and letting me put the bulb in myself. Finally, they left my car a mess and broke my son's phone holder. And yes, I know they did because it was perfectly fine and they put it back in the vent broken without telling us. Not professional at all. He is allowing me to make payments on the bill but believe me I won't go back or recommend them to anyone.

Went in for an inspection & oil change. Truck would not run when service was completed. Steve backed it up & it worked. We drive home only for the truck not to start again. We finally got it running & had to drive back to Clem's for them to look at it. We saw Steve pull out the clogged oil filter that was never replaced. He replaced the filter & the truck ran fine. Steve told us it was a bad filter when we literally saw him take out the old filter & replace it with with new one on our 2nd trip meaning he never replaced it in the first place although we were charged. Not good service!Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Had truck and 10 k trailer. Inspect. Trailer failed. Came back week later they had to order 4 new tires. Called and now getting new tires as I type this. Took me right away . Very nice and professional people thanks. Ps the youngn man fixed my trailer brake pull pin system . He installing. Thanks for his work ethics. Work.

Just went for oil change, and I was in and out. Great folks. 9\27 update. Still great and very fair in pricing. Mechanics have to be better now due to technology, and these guys are keeping up with the times

Clem s has always been upfront and honest with me. We go to them for everything that we cannot do and trust them wholeheartedly. They are fair in pricing and decently quick with their work. Would not consider anywhere else.

Springs were put in wrong had to have repaired at another shop. Exhaust was put on with a horrible weld that leaked . Had to have repaired at another shop.Ive called 4 times to speak to the owner who hasn't returned my calls. Bad work. Bad service. Never again would I waste thousands of dollars here.

I followed Clem's from their previous shop in Ruther Glen. I'm sad that they are a bit further, but when we tried a few different local places, we realized we just won't get the service we're used to. So we drive the extra 20 minutes for honest, hard-working, and personable mechanics and staff. They have never charged me for something that wasn't 100% necessary, and helped me with the things that were.

Clems used to be our go to for state inspections but we noticed that they kept charging for extra unnecessary things. After the third time they charged us again I will not be going there plus they are overpriced for any type of car repair. Not to mention the lady at the front office is not very friendly.

I walked in and got my Car inspected on 8/31/16 and they we're so Professional and even replaced my Head lamp that I brought in with me! They got me in and out within 1 hour! No other Auto Company even attempted to fit me in to their schedule today! I would suggest you go to Clems Tire and Auto, Ruther Glen, VA! They just gained a new customer with 3 Vehicles me and my Family will deal with Clem's from now on! I got service with a smile and a few good laughs too!

I ve been coming here since I got my car, it s not far from home and the service has always been top notch. I ve been driving my own car for almost a year now and the guys here have helped me every time I ve come in. They are so trustworthy and even have stopped what they re doing to help me when I came in once for a problem with a mouse in my car and they gave me advice. High quality customer service at an affordable price. So worth it.

I attempt to do most of my own repairs on the vehicles my family owns. Occasionally, (ok frequently) I get in over my head, and need help. Clem's is where I go for that help. These guys are good people. Bluntly honest, accurate, and straight to the point. I confidently send my non-mechanical family members to Clem's if I can't help them. They will tell you what's wrong with your vehicle, what can wait a while, and what needs to be fixed immediately - all at a fair price. This is the only mechanic shop that I have ever been to that consistently surprises me with a LOWER bill than I expected.

Wonderful people who care and are 100% honest, which is the most important aspect of an automobile repair company. They stand behind their work. We are local and they take care of all 3 of our vehicles: repairs, inspections, tires, etc. Whether you are local or a traveler stranded on I95, you get the same first rate, honest service!

Garbage service. My mother and I both used this place to get work done on our cars and each and every time we received our cars in worse condition then when we sent them in. It s incredibly upsetting. Not only that, they won t return one of our keys. They said they would leave it somewhere for us to pick up and we drove all the way out there to get it to be done with this place and they didn t even leave it out so we wasted an hour trip there. It s like they really don t care. It s unreal.

Went here today and had an awesome experience. I first went to Ladysmith Auto right off of the 1-95 exit and it was a huge mistake, as all of the locals already know. I was hoping that since I'd been there before for inspections that they wouldn't try to pull one over on me. They did. I went in and told them about the banging that I was heating from under my car. They had me leave it and called me back. They quoted me $930 plus $89 diagnostic fee for bad wheel bearings and a brake caliper bolt that was missing, and said that they may not be done until the next day. Went to Clem's for a second opinion because I had heard good things in my neighborhood about them. They took me right in during their lunch break, jacked it up, and said that the wheel bearings were fine. They confirmed that it was in fact missing a brake caliper bolt, and that was what was causing the noise. They had one on hand, put it on in 5 minutes, test drove the car, and then had me ride with them to verify that the noise was gone while also explaining to me what we were listening and feeling for. They charged me $27 and sent me on my way with a smile. These are some great guys and very honest and trustworthy. They could have easily charged me for the wheel bearings that I asked them to replace, but instead they did the right thing. God bless 'em. I highly recommend you go here for all mechanic work.

Two motorheads who know their craft run this surpringly modern shop. Friendly, helpful and honest. They"ll tackle any kind of problem and also do state inspections with no lines.
