The Richmond, VA store is so professional in their delivery of services after the initial sale! I purchased my new travel trailer from the Grand Rapids, MI store, but regularly use the Richmond, VA for ongoing service and warranty repair. The Service team is diligent in making sure my expectations are met and I really enjoy working with Danny as a Veteran (he s a Marine). He always communicates every step of the service process clearly. Plus, he s willing to communicate with me using the method i prefer text! Good job Marine!

Our experience with Mike, Lisa, Mark, Andrea, and John at General RV was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we stepped in, they were attentive and went above and beyond to ensure we had all our questions answered. Mark's hands-on orientation of our RV was exceptional; his knowledge truly impressed us. He made sure to address all our concerns and relayed them effectively to the service team, who promptly fixed everything while we waiting on the installation of the fifth wheel on our truck.Mike and Andrea seamlessly handled our temp tag needs, making the process quick and hassle-free, despite our out-of-state purchase. John and his team were incredibly patient, guiding us through every step and explaining all our options thoroughly. And Lisa? What a gem! Her vibrant personality made our conversations delightful, and she, along with Mike and Mark, kept us updated every step of the way.This team's professionalism and camaraderie made what could have been a stressful day SO much easier. We're truly grateful for their stellar service!

Yesterday 15 March we picked up our new Brinkley Z3100 5th wheel RV and traded in our 25 tag along camper. We were met as we turned into the lot by Travis who took care of the trade in RV. Travis set the tone for our whole experience and was just fantastic getting us set and ready to go to pick up our new RV. Our walk through was very informative, the tech was absolutely knowledgeable and had everything set for us to check out. Colby made the financing as smooth as could ever be expected. We purchased this unit in Tampa Fl as a special order and the staff there Blake, sales from Utah and Sof, finance from Michigan told us everything would be set for pick up and they were 100% spot on. No surprises. Everyone else we encountered at the dealership was fantastic and very helpful. Back to Travis, he was also the last one we seen on the way out as he helped us in transferring items from one to another. Kudos again to Travis as he set the tone for our visit and to everyone else at General RV in Richmond!!!!

I just returned from 2 weeks on the road and during my travels I lost a little side vent from my camper. I pulled into this place because they were conveniently right off i95. While they didn't have the vent cover I needed, Brian Kelley in the parts department got on his computer and looked it up for me. He offered to order it and have it shipped to me but he wasn't sure when it would arrive so he gave me the printout of the item and suggested that I order it from Amazon because it would be cheaper and faster delivery to where I would be in my travels. I am so very appreciative of his help and kindness. A rare commodity these days.

We had a scheduled appointment for five warranty items on our RV. All items were completed correctly and timely. Great customer service at General RV in Ashland VA. I would recommend General RV to anyone looking to service your RV or to purchase a new one.

I hear so many people on YouTube complaining about General RV, let me say that as for me and the purchase of my luxury motor coach the experience was amazingly effortless on my part. My salesman Michael Mathias was very informative and worked diligently to make the deal happy. My Finance person Justin Clearfield worked wonders with getting the required financing, and the manager Jimmy Dameron even stopped by to congratulate me on the purchase. 5 stars is not enough.

Brian was very helpful alot more selection then campers world prices are a bit high but. I had a great guy help me for my roof top vent cover. Very spacious parking lot very clean dealership..

We had an amazing experience at General RV Center. We went, only to look, with a literal list of wants, wishes and needs. We worked with a very likable, honest and knowledgeable salesman named Luke Cassaneese. He was a pure joy to work with as a salesman. We gave him a list of our requirements and wishes. He listened ya to us and only showed us RV s that met our needs. He didn t show us anything that we wouldn t be able to tow with our truck or that was out of our price range. We hadn t planned on buying until next year and we didn t get any unnecessary pressure from Luke. However, one of the RVs he showed us was on my wishlist and it was the only one left of the 2023 models. I asked him not to touch base with me for a few weeks so that we had time to think and look over our finances. But I found myself calling and texting Luke quite a bit over the next few weeks and got immediate responses from Luke. We ended up buying the RV and the whole team at General RV was fantastic. They seemed to anticipate our needs. The day we signed all the paperwork, we also added extra finish protection and purchased rear and side cameras. They had the RV in the shop before the end of the day. Prior to pick up (11/1/23), they had already winterized our RV for us. We had a a few small items that needed attention before we left with our RV and they had a tech jump right on it, instead of us having to schedule an appointment to return at a later date. I can t tell you what a big difference it makes when you have so many service bays to work with (30+) instead of only 5-6 for the whole dealership. I didn t meet anyone there that did in not stop and take the time to give me their full attention and answer my questions or find an answer and respond quickly. I would recommend General RV Center over any other dealership in the area. I would highly recommend Luke Cassaneese as the salesperson to deal with.

As a new and first time RV owner, and after a number of bad experiences one with the chassis manufacturer and one with the RV dealer who sold me the RV, General RV has been great so far, and Nikki has been wonderful to work with. I also very much appreciated that Nikki was able to work me in this last time on such short notice :)

Thank you to General RV Center on delivering us our new, beautiful REV Group's Holiday Rambler Nautica 34RX (35' diesel pusher). The purchase and delivery involved four of the General RV Center locations, with us taking delivery at the General RV Center location near Richmond, VA. At GRVC-Richmond the team provided outstanding friendly, customer-focused service. During the whole delivery process we frequently were told they wanted us to be 100% satisfied before we left. Yes, there were a few last minute issues to solve which was not unexpected for such a complex unit (it is an entire house on wheels with a engine). Each time they, or we, encountered a bump, they discussed how to solve it and then did so. Thank you to the Richmond team we worked with, including:- Michael Cordra, delivery manager;- Beth who provided a thorough orientation and answered out multitude of questions or found the answers,- Brian B. who followed up finding solutions to items through our drive-off;- Blake Curtin, business manager, for explaining all the support options and then working with us on those we selected;- Bo Hurst, sales manager for stepping in to help advise on some of the issues;- Tamara in sales who took us on a very helpful orientation test drive answering more of our questions;- Jeff, parts advisor who found solutions to the few little extra items we needed;- Shane, service manager, and his techs who immediately came out to solve the last minute items;- Nikki, service advisor for the straightforward explanation of the future service process, and- Ben, operations manager, for volunteering to help find a tech when the others were unavailable.This was a great multi-location effort, with the initial sale coordinated by Ron Hendrickson (General RV Center Tampa location) at the Hershey RV Show and and Business Manager Sebastian Beltran, Business Manager (General RV Center Ocala location) who then followed up after the sale. The initial test drive of a Holiday Rambler diesel pusher was provided by the Elizabethtown, PA team which convinced us we wanted to move from a front gas engine to a rear diesel engine configuration. Thank you to all of you.Last, thanks to the REV Group team support to the General RV Center team which was instrumental in making this deal happen for us, led by Casey Hamrick, Holiday Rambler national sales, and Alan Farash, GM of the REV Recreation Group.The customer-driven support we received throughout this process went beyond our expectations and we thank you all for this experience!

We just bought our second camper from general! Zack and Hillary tagged team to help us with the sale of our RV and they were so helpful! They were very responsive and were very flexible along the way. When we did our walkthrough, Shana did an awesome job at explaining everything and helping us understand all the bells and whistles of our new camper. Chris was professional and did a great job explaining all the financing items.All in all, a second great experience with general rv. Thanks team!

We visited General RV yesterday to look at travel vans. We had a great time with Jeff McCarthy showing us around! He listened to all of our wants and needs and was able to show us the exact van we would need. We appreciate the time and effort he put into us and we would highly recommend working with him!!

Extremely pleased with the level of service and quality of work completed. We had a an issue with our floor and we were out of warranty. Floor was replaced and was covered by the OEM. Jeanie, our service representative was a charm to work with. She stayed on top of the work and sent numerous notifications updating me with the status. 100% improvement from my other visit.

Outstanding experience purchasing our Fifth Wheel camper!! Everything went smoothly from start to finish. Brian coordinated every step ensuring no delays. Maintenance staff, Scott, ensured we had our tow vehicle set up correctly and installed the options we requested perfectly. The walkthrough with Beth on our camper was very informative and her knowledge of all systems was a pleasant learning experience. Ben, the Operations Manager, should be very proud of his team! The whole atmosphere and professional attitude of this dealership reflects from the top down. We are very pleased with this experience! General RV Richmond is definitely top notch!!

We just bought our 3rd RV. Buying it from General RV was a wonderful experience. All the employees are very friendly and helpful. We had some minor issues with the RV we bought. The Service Advisor, Nikki Hughlett was amazing. She documented the items and was able to get us into the shop early since we had a camping trip scheduled that same month. Nikki was a great communicator and kept us up to date on the repairs. She truly was an advocate for us.

If I could give them a 0 star I would. The camper my family bought came with several things wrong with, and when we brought it back to be fixed it wasn't done right every single time. The staff is rude and snippy, we should not be getting attitude when asking you to fix a problem under warranty. They won't do Saturday drop offs so time has to be taken off to drive the camper down there as they're several hours away. And the seals around both skylights, were not sealed properly and have been leaking most likely since we bought, so now the whole roof has to be replaced. I do not recommend buying from them.

Everyone was so friendly at general RV, as soon as you walk through the doors your greeted and sent in the direction you need help with. Shawn was there to greet me in less than a minute. He seemed almost excited as I was to buy my first travel trailer. He asked me specific questions to help narrow down my search to the perfect trailer. He drove us out to see the trailers and listened carefully to the things I liked and I didn't like so he could help find the one I was looking for. He was patient and attentive. He went above and beyond to help get me everything I wanted. Once I found the one I wanted He still stayed through the process of paperwork and Financials. He then delivered my trailer to my house and set it up so I was ready to go. The General RV team was super helpful. Not only did Shawn help me find the trailer I wanted, but general RV had other team members who helped me with Financials, a how to walk through to teach you all about your new trailer, and help with finding any accessories you need before you are on the road. I highly recommend checking these guys out.

My wife and I began this process with zero expectations.I went into this with almost no experience with campers, and even less in purchasing one.Our salesman Kris V. Was fantastic start to finish. We looked at models that checked particular boxes for us within our price point, before we elected to up the budget. In no capacity did Kris pressure us, or upsell us on anything at any time which was a nice feeling. My wife and I discussed going nicer and more expensive on our own. Once we decided, Kris made sure to revisit inventory and ended up showing us a fresh trade in that hadn't hit the lot yet. We made up our mind and decided on that unit.The entire facility is very nice, clean, friendly and orderly without sacrificing competency. As an employer I pay attention to how employees behave, their competency etc, and everyone I interacted with seemed happy to be there, to see you and to answer questions. An oddity in today's world.Justin, the finance guy we dealt with was friendly and informative. He considered the context of our use heavily and focused on potential supplemental items that would be useful to us. He didn't push anything irrelevant or unnecessary. He brought up things we may need or want only. It was nice to not be pressured and for our needs to be considered, rather than just a sale.The guy that did our walkthrough (unfortunately I forgot his name, friendly gentleman with glasses.) was extremely knowledgeable. As a mechanically adept person I had some technical questions I almost didn't ask regarding the inverters and electrical distribution, because I figured he wouldn't know. He never skipped a beat. He knew the answer, asked for additional context and helped me plan a move.Brian was helpful throughout the entire process, filling voids and assisting in between interactions. Never seemed bothered, quick to help. Really made it nice not getting lost between different parties and even finding our camper after. He even pulled out a last minute stop for a small issue at hook up.Danny, the services advisor was also extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I informed him I'd be doing our maintenance and repairs and that didn't dissuade him from remaining very personable and friendly through our continued conversation. I'd trust him and their service to handle anything that came up.Everyone was great. Unfortunately we will likely never have to return, but if we have to, I won't go anywhere else. I'll be making a several hour drive back to this place, over trying another.10/10 staff, facility, inventory, efficiency and atmosphere.I'm jealous of how well this place runs, and how everyone seems to be having an good time while at work.Thanks everyone.Carly and Michael.

If you are looking to purchase a motor home, I highly recommend Matt Davis at General RV Center, Ashland VA. I just purchased my second motor home with his help. He stands up for his buyers. He is knowledgeable with his products. Very good listener to what you the customer wants. Ask for Matt. You will not be disappointed. I have also purchased previous motor homes from his father-in-law Doc Holiday. Another great person!

Very disappointed with my experience. I bought a used 2022 Thor Windsport and had problems right away with the generator stop working with days of purchasing. I was told to bring it in however they would be able to look at the unit until mid January (I called in mid December). Being a 2 hour drive, I opted to take it to the local Cummins shop which set me back $2000. I realize I bought the unit as is , however it was apparent that any servicing done was inadequate (see picture of battery/ leveling compartment). I reached out to the service office who directed me to sales. I was told that they would be in touch and happy to investigate and a resolution by the following Monday. That was almost a month ago. And the kicker is the generator isn t working again! What a nightmare!!

We purchased a 2021 Grand Design Momentum from James Brown. He was a very knowledgeable salesman. He made sure he knew what we were looking for and found us the perfect toy hauler. He was very helpful and kind throughout the whole entire process. We highly recommend him at General RV in Richmond VA.Lexi did our walk through the day we purchased and she did an awesome job. She s very knowledgeable when it comes to the units that she shows. She was easy to talk to and answered any questions we had.

Just can t say enough good things about Dustin Crooks and the General RV team. We first connected with Dustin at the RV show in Doswell VA. We had been following a New RV, Brinkley RV and it was to be at the show. We looked it over with Dustin and Brinkley representative Rocky. We new we wanted it so I approached Dustin with quote a no B.S. offer. He and his team went to work. Didn t get all I wanted, but neither did Dustin. Nice that the art of communication is still alive and working. A few weeks later my wife and closed on the first Z3100 Brinkley in the area. Thanks again Dustin Crooks and General RV. If you re looking for a representative that knows his products and treats you with No B.S. Go find Dustin at General.
