I ve had two experiences with the Ashland Autozone. Both VERY positive, even though they didn t have the parts I needed. First one I was looking for a heat gun they didn t carry, I was just about out of the parking lot when a younger man ran out of the store to tell me about a store I didn t know about that might have it. He was correct and it helped a lot, unfortunately I did not get that young man s name. The second was the other night and I was looking for a tool. I tried Ace, Home Depot and AZ. I was helped out by a young man named Christian. He tried everything under the sun to try and make something work for my situation. It wasn t happening, but it wasn t for a lack of him trying. In both instances those two employees went over and above what most people would do to help me. I can t say enough about them, not only should Autozone be proud of them but their parents should be too.

Needed a new battery and the staff at this location was so knowledgeable and helpful. Jimmy got my battery in fairly quick considering the corrosion and he was so pleasant to take to! Thanks Jimmy

Do not return anything to this store. The staff is incompetent. I returned 3 items to the store. And they wrote the recite for a part I never purchased and was never refunded my money.

Went on their website and ordered parts that stated that were in thier inventory, drove from Doswell to pick them up ONLY to hear from desk clerk they didn't have them. How in the world can you run a business in an industrial and multi car dealership area, pathetic. ADVANCED AUTO here I come! Keeping it real

This location was okay. The staff seemed less knowledgeable than staff im used to in an auto parts place. I needed some jugs of DEF fluid and noticed one of the jugs had significantly less fluid than the others. It was only a quick stop so I cant really say much about anything else.

Stopped 1.5 hours from home here and they were extremely kind and Eric specifically, helped me look for the problem and helped me the best he could in my predicament. I appreciate this store and it s kind workers!

Top notch attention to customer care. Today I experienced a mortifying caution on my card, which caused my transaction to be declined. Twice we tried. I subsequently called my card company and frustratingly had to go through hell just to verify my identity. Never had to do this UNTIL TODAY! The gentleman there was very accommodating and could see my frustration and dismay. When I finally resolved the issue 15 minutes later, he had given me a very special promotion on my purchase! I was totally shocked! I had no idea people were still empathetic in service. This is the first time since the pandemic, that I have had such a positive experience! He took a mortifying experience and improved it drastically. Thank you so much for that!

Traveled from NC to DC with family at night with my kids. It was dark and raining really hard. We could barely see so I stopped over at AutoZone to replace our wipers. Masin and Sam were fast and friendly and even helped us install our wiper blades!

Updated: played phone tag with the manager of the location (after their response to this review) but ultimately, she never returned my final call . Called when my truck died, 17 minutes before close and was less than 2 miles away. I could literally almost see the store. Told them the battery that I needed and asked if they had it so they could pull it before I pulled up. The guy said yes they had it, but they wouldn t install it for me, so close to closing. I let him know I had no tools with me to try and change it myself and my truck wasn t going to start again after I turned it off to purchase the battery. Still wouldn t help me. This guy was going to leave me stranded in the dark, alone in a creepy parking lot. All over 5 minutes. I truly hope that when this guys wife, mother, child, etc, finds herself stranded in the dark alone they they don t find themselves dealing with this kind of guy. Chivalry really is dead.

Always has the parts I need, the managers and staff are very knowledgeable. My part was in in one day. Good loaner tool a availability. Even let me do repairs on site when not too busy.

Today I went to auto zone and Montae was walking past after he helped another customer. We asked if he could assist with the replacement of my headlight bulb and he went above and beyond to assist me. I could not have done better with paid services. I just want to say a THANK YOU!!

Our vehicle broke down due to a dead battery while traveling through Ashland, VA on our way home from vacation. After a jump from AAA, AutoZone was the closest place to get a new battery. The staff was amazing. Crystal was extremely helpful and friendly, and had a brand new battery installed quickly and we were on our way. Thank you so much. The staff made a stressful situation much easier. We are very grateful.

We broke down 4 hours from home. The 2 guys working inside were so helpful, they helped us to figure out the problem and the tools needed to fix our truck. We spent a solid 6 hours trying different ideas to fix our truck. Thanks to these 2 guys we were able to drive home safely.

I cannot begin to tell you how good the customer service is at the store. I ve shopped at the store for years but tonight it was put to the test. I bought new lights for a 2012 Chevrolet Malibu. You have to take the entire front bumper assembly off and the headlight assemblies out to change those lightbulbs. At 8:58 PM after I put the bulbs and I found out one was defective. I called the store. They waited for me. They swapped out the bulb. I was able to finish my project.Good customer service makes all the difference in the world. There are three other auto parts stores closer to my house but I ve always gone to this store and tonight they showed me all the reasons why. Thank you guys so much.

I needed to replace the headlights in my car and had multiple people elsewhere try to get the old ones out with no luck. One of the managers at this store came out to check to see what he could do before I had even purchased the replacement bulbs. Thank you Mr. Sprouse for your invaluable assistance!

We stopped in after getting a jump start and the car still wasn t running right. They tested the alternator and it was bad. Unfortunately there aren t any for my car in stock or available for a couple days (it may be too new and only available from Mazda), but the 2 guys working were very friendly and helpful in our search for a towing company to get us back home where we can wait for a part to come in on special order. It s nice when people treat you right even though they know you aren t buying from them.

We were traveling and had an alternator issue and the guys working went far above my expectations. Great customer service. We were in and out quickly and back on the road. Thanks for saving the Holiday.

My husband and I where heading to Florida and our AC wasn't working so we stopped here and one of the employees helped us put the freon in out car after we purchased it and explained why it hadn't worked when we did it ourself when we started out trip, I wish I could remember his name because I starred this location on my google maps 3 months ago just to leave a review. I truly appreciate when people take the extra step to help out and this auto zone saved me from a long hot trip!

Stopped into Auto Zone in Ashland today to pick up a battery for my 2001 Toyota Tacoma. I LOVED that it was all ladies in there, working hard on a Sunday. Michelle was AMAZING! She helped me get exactly what I needed and put the battery in for me, in no time, on a hot summer day! Thank you Michelle! You Rock!

This place completely sucks and would get zero stars if I could. Do NOT go here. They all act like they are better than you and know everything (some know nothing). Also completely rude all the time. I have gone in a few times and always had this issue so no longer will go in. My advice head an extra mile down the road to advance auto. They treat you like you are a human and if you go in more then once they will remember you and have a personal bond with you.
