I had a flat tire and had to drive on it. Thought my sidewalls were shot from that.They said they'd check to see if it could be repaired...I was fully prepared to have to replace.Turned out to have two punctures, one a wood screw don't know what put the other hole in it. Both repairable. Saved me from having to buy a tire. Charged me for one and a half patches...because it was only one tire/two holes.I was in and out in about an hour and around $65 and had friendly conversation while waiting.

Scott and his crew at A.C.WOW Tire & Auto were very professional and friendly. They mounted and balanced the new tires for my vehicle very quickly. The price for the new tires was exceptional. I highly recommend visiting this business very much. They will treat you excellently

This place was great. Had a screw in my tire and had to pull off I-95. Called these guys up and they took care of the tire in like 30 minutes. Friendly, punctual, fair priced. Thank you!

I've been for a few things. Getting a couple tires patched while I waited most recently. They're polite and realistic on how long it will take. Priced up front as well.

Quite simply one of the best privately owned auto repair shops in the Richmond area. Scott & Ray are the best, they were able to locate and install hard-to-find parts for my vintage Bronco, but that's just the beginning, they do it all, we trust them with all of our cars and don't go anywhere else; for maintenance / tires / repairs / suggestions. We found them to be honest, fair and reasonably priced.Services: Auto battery replacement, Auto brake repair, Auto brake replacement

I got the same work done here as I had quoted at another shop and saved about 50%. The first shop quoted out at $1016 for the same work that A.C. WOW charged $544. You may have to wait to get in, but they are great to work with. If I could give them 10 stars I would.

I ve been going to AC Tire for 5 years now. Scott has continually gone out of his way to accommodate my family and our crazy schedule. Many times he ll squeeze us in right before go on a trip. I ve also found him to be very trust worthy. He shoots me straight and prioritizes the repair for me. The work is quality too. I ve never been unhappy with anything they ve done.This is the quintessential small town auto shop!Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Wow they are amazing Wow they work so quickly and so efficiently. Wow today my bill was much lower than I anticipated. I dropped my car this afternoon For a possible flat repair on the driver side rear flat repair was done and I has my car back all in less than four hours and that includes the time it took me having to walk back up shop to retrieve my vehicle when it was ready. I have been using this business for all of my vehicle repairs for quite a few years very fair very professional very amazing. Wow what amazing customer service Honestly they wow me every time. I made an appointment A WEEK in advance to have maintenance done to my car. This was going to cost several $$$. Not a cheap fix and I was prepared for that. I was told it would take probably 4 hours for repairs.I rearranged my busy schedule and my daughter did also as she would have to drive me to and from the shop. I dropped my car off at 12:30 and was stuck all day waiting for my car. I was told I would get a call to update me on what they found. At 4:00 I called the shop to check on the status and was told " sorry we couldn't get to it today it will probably be ready sometime tomorrow!! WHAT?! I work a full time job and I can't wait around till they can get to my car. I think LIVID is a good word at this point. So why did I bother to make an appointment?? My biggest problem is why didn't someone call me and tell me that something came up and they couldn't get to my car today?? I will NEVER take my car there again and I certainly would NEVER recommend them. Their word can't be trusted. When the previous owner ran that place it was #1. Not true with the new owners.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Four years ago i posted this. 'I've been a customer for more than 20 years at this family owned/operated repair shop. They are honest to a fault, knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend them to take care of your automobiles.' Today, March 2022, after 25 years I don't believe I will be returning. The business has new ownership. After 2 state inspections, I no longer have trust in this facility. We received a call with first vehicle that it was ready and they had removed a fog light because it wasn't working to pass inspection. True, fog lights if present must be functioning. I would have liked being given the choice of fixing before it was removed. Second inspection was an almost $900 brake and rotter job when brakes were done less than 3000 miles back. This visit began with a less than happy to see me attitude about my dropping off for the state inspection. I was open to leaving my car more than 2 days, Thursday thru Saturday. I even ask the desk person if I should not, since he was so negative. He said they'd work it in at that point. Sad

Realized on my way to work at 4am I had a headlight out. Since I knew I would be driving for hours in the dark over the upcoming weekend I really needed it quickly taken care of. Called while still at work and was able to stop on my way home and 20 minutes later was on my way. Always phenomenal service and I feel like they're family. I highly recommend them.

I had taken my vehicle here not to long ago for an alignment and look over. The alignment was not where I wanted it I called back and they told me to bring it back in and they fixed it. I believe they are honest hard working people and they stand by there work. I just dropped off my other vehicle for an inspection and look over and I m so happy because they always find out whatever needs to be done and there reasonably priced.Service: Wheel alignment

Definitely going down hillBeen a customer for many many years but the last 4 services have been shoddy and they leave you hanging for days wondering the status even if you schedule a timeActually charged for work they didn't have to do, told tests were run that definitely weren't and we have taken the car back 3 times for same problemAlso they did not honor road hazard warranty on tires we boughtSo new management? What's happened?This is their last chance, if I drive away disappointed for the 5th time I need to find somewhere else

Took my 2013 mustang in for an oil change and state inspection. Drivers side floor mat had greasy footprints and other dirty debris all over it. Took a half hour to clean it up. Also the driver's side fender well and hood had VERY large greasy areas where the mechanic leaned over it while adding oil. This car was clean inside and out when I took it in. I had to wash those greasy areas! Not using floor mat or fender protectors anymore I see. Not going back after years of using this shop. AC tire...WOW!Service: Vehicle Inspection

We have a 1987 Jeep Wrangler that nobody wants to touch. Scott and his team not only touched it, they made it run like new! And I was amazed at how affordable it was. They actually came in under estimate, and I felt like the estimate was a great deal.This family has a history of being able to fix anything. And it is heartwarming to find someone that can do exactly that - they say what they are going to do and then they do it. Always good service. I took my vehicle in for an inspection at 8:30am and had asked if it could be done by 1. I received a call at 1:02 telling me it was ready. ....Now here's the kicker. Since they knew I was on my way to pick it up, instead of pulling my car out into the hot sun, they left it in the bay until I arrived so the interior was not hot. By the time I was finished paying, it was sitting right outside the door.

I m going to start off by saying the service here was extremely unprofessional for my experience. I took my wife s car in for a state inspection at around 9am said it would be ready around 1-130, which was fine. 1 o clock rolls around wife gets a call about needing tag lights for her car, which he then tells my wife it would cost an additional 31.00 dollars to put a 1.00 peanut bulb in for the license plate. I called the shop back wondering why a 1.00 light bulb would cost me that much, basically told me that they charge 100 dollars an hour for labor. I asked him to unscrew two screws would cost 30 dollars? He then goes on to say, we don t make money off state inspections. I told him your not supposed to make money off inspections. Which he replied he wouldn t be in business if he didn t charge these, in my opinion, outrageous prices for simple tasks. I then ask him can I run down there pop the bulb in, which would take 5 seconds max. He refused and said we don t do that here . I have been to places where I was told, it wouldn t be a big deal for something as minor as that. Frustrated I told him put the rejection sticker on, I ll put the bulb in and return it tomorrow to have them reinspect the tag lights. Next morning wife takes the car back at around 9-930. They now tell her it will be 3:30 before we ll get it back, saying her car was the last one for the day. I didn t realize you couldn t run outside, and flip the lights on to see if they light comes on. So fine I spent the entire day running around, waiting for the car to be done. Finally they call and say it s ready, went to get the car and wife tries to start and the battery is dead. So now on top of wasting my time, I now have to jump the wife s car in the parking lot. I say to everyone who needs any kind of work done here. Do not waste your time here. They don t seem to care about you or your vehicle. I will never do any kind of business here again, and will be telling my family and friends not to do so either.

I do not recommend taking your vehicle to AC Wow for any of the services they offer. Took a car to them for an alignment and when we went to pick it up it would not start. Didn't really think much of it until we took our truck to them a few days later for an alignment and state inspection. Our appointment was at 8am for the alignment and they called my husband around 1pm to tell him that it failed inspection because both front lower ball joints were bad and they also told him they weren't able to do the alignment because the truck was too long. They told him the truck would not start in the shop and they had tried jumping it and clicking the starter until they could get it to start, who knows how long it took or what really happened. They told him the starter was bad. My husband does all of the mechanical work on our vehicles(he is a diesel mechanic) and he was surprised to hear this because he had just replaced the front tires and checked over everything and had replaced the starter last year. When we went to pick the truck up we tried to jump it but the battery was too far drained to to be jumped. We went and bought a new battery and installed it, then the truck started right up. End result: They were wrong starter was fine, battery was dead because of something they did. Took the truck to another inspection station where the owner did a full inspection and found no issues. I was also in and out within an hour and the truck started right up. I did not have to drop off as AC Wow told me that was the only way they would do service. Charged the old battery overnight and installed it back in the truck with no issues.It is very strange that both mechanically sound vehicles we took to them had issues starting. It almost seems like they were trying to scam us to turn the job into more especially since the other inspection station found no issues.No point for AC to respond with an apology because this is past that you know what you are doing and it is wrong and no way to conduct business.

On the road with many miles ahead of us, and Scott was so understanding and got us fixed up and back on the road quickly. Great customer service. Would recommend for locals and travelers alike.

Always have a great experience with AC Tires! they do everything they can to make this an affordable option, especially for college students! They also have a cute puppy in the office to keep you company. Highly recommend!

Took my vehicle in for an Inspection. Was told to pick up because it would not pass. Apon pickup, no rejection sticker, previous months inspection still on, Parked in the same spot. Was told he pushed on my hood ( didn't know he was trying to compress stiffer coil springs and shocks by man power) and saw my suspension didn't flex and didn't bother to do the full Inspection to notify me of what else I would need to fix. Never had a car fail an inspection without getting a rejection sticker or a marked checklist.

My son was driving home from his Marine Corps base the night before the Fourth of July. His truck has very large, heavy-duty tires but somehow a large piece of metal cut into the tire and the tire went flat. He had the truck towed to the nearest place, which was A.C. WOW Tire & Auto. When he Ubered over from the hotel the next morning it happened that the owner had stopped in and talked with my son. He fixed the tire (and did a great job as it survived the rest of the drive to PA and back to NC and still is good!) We are so grateful that he took the time to help especially on a holiday! I tell this story to so many people and their response is "It's good to know there are still good people in this world"

I love driving home from AC WOW!Always a perfect experience for at least 6 years now on 4 different vehicles and two sets of tires.Today they worked on our 2000ish Cherokee again (ugh...used cars) and I'm as delighted as ever.AC WOW communicates with us and has never led us astray. I asked them to fix something that ended up not really needing repair so they let me know and let ME decide whether or not it was done. That's called INTEGRITY!Theories abound regarding what the name AC WOW stands for. It's pretty simple, ALWAYS CONSCIENTIOUS so WOW!!Don't change a thing AC!p.s. no offense intended AC, I like you and all but I sure do hope I don't see you again too soon

Needed to have my car inspected and they were happy to squeeze me in even though I did not have an appointment. Quick and friendly service. I will go here again to get my car inspected and for any repairs I may need. I plan to also try out the manual car wash services.
