My new favorite mechanic and inspection location. Very honest. The prices seem fair. I will definitely be going by back next time I need an auto mechanic

I have gone here for my last 3-4 safety inspections. Nothing unreasonable about those previous inspections. Today however the mechanic inspecting my vehicle asked me who did my rear brake service. When I told him I did it myself he said he "could tell". When I asked him to elaborate he refused, citing trade secrets. Never had a mechanic try to troll me so hard. Tell me what's wrong and I'll pay you to fix it. I'm not paying someone one to sprinkle pixie dust and tell me everything's better.

This station has been under new management the last few years and they are so awesome. As a woman, it's so great to have an honest auto shop in the neighborhood... they have proven time and again that they are trustworthy mechanics.. and my husband agrees they do great work. They have good prices, excellent service and everyone is friendly and welcoming. We wouldn't take our vehicles anywhere else.

Hands down, the best mechanics and service center in Arlington. Fair prices. Friendly owner. No upselling, just honest feedback about what your car needs and fair prices for labor and equipment. This is my go to mechanic and should be yours too.

Always the most friendly and helpful staff!! They could be busy with the whole town and still have your headlight and car inspected in under 15 minutes at 1:20 on a Tuesday!!They are always affordable and all go out of their way to be kind and helpful!!I will ALWAYS come here for services on my car.Not all heroes wear capes.

Excellent service...these guys where excellent. Came here on a Saturday after 12pm took them 15-20mins to help me with re-inspection my vehicle. Excellent customer service and quality. Diffently recommended to anyone this is the right place for all auto needs. Thanks again Guys you won my service.

My service was great! Friendly staff and informative about what's going on with my car. Had my oil change and brakes change a few times here. No issues. Though it's new management, I think their rates are far. I mean really i'd be spending way more money at the dealer getting my car fixed then just going here.

I have brought my BMW here twice, and both times were great experiences. The first time I had an oil change, and inspection done. The second time I had my gasket valve repaired, coils changed, spark plugs changed, and they found the oil leak and repaired it. The car runs like new and I couldn t be happier. The technicians are very knowledgeable and the manager, Ryan, is outstanding. I would recommend anyone to take their car here for fair pricing, and great service.

Been going to these guys for about two years now. Always provide great service. They explain everything in detail when it come to getting your car repair and even gives you advice to save money on certain. Both management and mechanics are awesome people. Will continue to keep coming for great service.

This place is great for quick car maintenance/emissions checks/state inspections. They get you in quick (I hardly ever have to wait) and get the job done quickly and efficiently, too. Very professional and friendly staff, and very conveniently located for me (easy to get in and out of the parking lot). I've also had a nail removed from a tire and patched up here, and had the same experience. I changed jobs and this gas station is no longer on my route home from work, but I go out of my way to come back here.

I appreciate Inspector was honest with me- He did explain my car problem because I took my car to old mechanic and the answer was exactly the same-

Had my car inspected here, failed my inspection, but told me what I needed to do to get it to pass. I came back over 2 weeks later to have it reinspected and wasn't charged. The guys here are very friendly, do fast work and are very willing to work with you. Don't let some of the poor past reviews deter you from stopping here and getting what you need done for a great price!

It s funny how the negative comments on here doesn t match my experience when it comes to this shop working on my cars. And I say cars because I ve taken both vehicles here and I ve received nothing but great service. And.. they will never tell you something needs to be replaced unless it is really required. And they will even show the reason and explain it. Hands down the only place I would take my car to get it serviced.

These jerks "changed" my oil and told me I had an oil leak. I was desperate to get one done before my 6 hour drive to NY the next day. I decided not to fix the "leak" and have my mechanic in NY look at it when he was fixing other things. They took advantage of that fact apparently because I drove up to NY and my mechanic told me that the oil in my car was ridiculously dirty and old. They never changed my oil! And the oil was leaking because the filter they put on wasn't on correctly. Charged me $27 for nothing and tried to scam me for their mistake! It wasn't a mistake though. Never go to this place! I'll be trying to get my money back when I return to DC this week. Horrible!

Quick and painless. I really liked the guys working here. I came here for the state safety inspection. Good news I passed. I came Friday during lunch and was there for about 30 min. They had to replace a light bulb so it wasn't too long for them to get me in and out. Prices are reasonable.

Beware! The station appears to be under new ownership and using questionable practices. We recently brought our 2011 vehicle to this station for it's annual VA safety inspection. The mechanic failed our vehicle's inspection claiming a defective exhaust system. To fix it, and to get our safety sticker, required $700 worth of repairs. Firstly, the vehicle was not due an exhaust inspection. Secondly, the vehicle had a thorough examination at another station 2 months prior and was deemed in perfect condition. We refused Glebewood Shell's recommendation and took the vehicle to another mechanic who thoroughly inspected the vehicle, especially its exhaust system, and found no issues.

Here is a summary of what happened:- I dropped off car on monday morning for inspection and emissions test.- I had to call to check on status and was informed everything was complete.- I picked up car monday evening and only inspection was done.- I dropped car back off on tuesday morning for emissions test.- I received no call on status of car during the day.- I picked up car on tuesday evening and was told emissions test not completed b/c their machine was broken.Seriously? So why didn't they tell me all this on Monday or even Tuesday morning? To make matters worse, they didn't even know where my keys were when I picked up the car Tuesday evening. Thanks for wasting my time.

Went for steering oil leak problem, charged me $280 and made the problem even more worse. Mechanic over there is not efficient , takes longer time for fixing only to make the issue even more worse. The alternator stopped charging the battery after steering fix. I don't recommend anyone to use the services over here .

Please beware!My wife came to have the test emision and replace the sticker the guys working in there where doing some questionable practices. We check the car with a mechanic and seems everything fine but the guys were saying was missing some lights and another stuff and for checking they were trying to charge my wife 90 usd, only for checking and she was not allowed to see what they where doingUsing bad practices to scamm, please avoid at all cost!!!

I had a flat, aired it up and drove over to this Shell. The mechanic was very fast and helpful. They had me patched up and ready to go in about 15 minutes for $20. The place is sketchy looking but the service is great. I would definitely go here again.

The vacuums don't work and the station doesn't have anyone working the cashier's desk to address problems despite being "open." Their posted phone number isn't answered and has no voicemail set up which seems especially sketchy for a place that's also supposed to be a service station.

I've been in there quite a bit over the last few months and I've been very impressed. Everyone's been amazing and i really trust what they tell me. I love dealing with Atfi and Ryan. I learned today that the company was sold and Ryan is leaving. Very disappointed, but I wish him the best.

I would never go to this place again nor i recommend to any of my friends. The mechanics over there don't diagnose the problem well. It was good before the change in owner ship.

You can call ahead and schedule an appointment or try and drop in for a quick fix! They've always been quick & helpful and offer fair prices and explanations.
