After getting sticker shock from my local dealer on repairs needed to pass my state inspection, I came to this Midas for a second quote on the repairs. After Matt and his team looked over my truck they called me with the pricing information i requested, but then went one step further. They informed me that while they weren't currently able to do state inspections (at this location) based on what they were seeing, they weren't sure if they agreed with my vehicle failing the state safety inspection. Based on that, I decided to take my truck to the other Midas down the road for a re inspection. After the re inspection, I was informed that my truck did not fail the state standards and I was able to remove the failure sticker and get a passing one. Both Midas locations informed me that this is a regular practice that they see with other customers coming in from other local dealerships.I cant thank Matt and the team at this Midas location enough. Your honesty and transparency is much appreciated and earned a new regular customer going forward.If you think your repair quote is too high, or just looking to get some honest feedback from a mechanic, visit this location. You wont be disappointed.

Matt and his team were very helpful. My car failed the DC safety inspection due to the catalytic converter code which indicated it needed to be replaced. This is very expensive to replace so Matt recommended we replace the catalytic converter sensors first which fixed the issue and it passed the inspection. I am very grateful to Matt for coming up with an alternative that saved me money.

Matt Niaz, the store manager, is like a neighbor who happens to manage a car repair shop. I recently took in our Honda Fit for evaluation of one of the rims and also replacement of the hatchback shocks. We have taken our Fit and Civic there many times over the years. Matt s repair recommendations are, in essence, the things that he would do if it were his own car. Of course there are things Matt cannot control the quality of your car, how your car has been maintained, whether a part in fact needs replacement, the number of other cars in the shop, and so forth. But the things he can control greeting you in a friendly manner, giving you a fair and honest assessment of your car s service needs, and treating you with respect these are the reasons we keep returning to Matt s Midas shop.

I have found my go to shop!Typically I don t go out of my way to write reviews but this place has been outstanding. Unlike many other auto shops is this area, they are always looking out for your best interest and are very upfront about prices. Highly recommend you book your next oil change / tire replacement / safety inspection here.

My review is based on this verbal engagement, as this is an important part of the service, to the extend that this portion of the service was provideI call this Midas to find out if they perform alignment services at that location and asked for an estimate. The person who answer the call told me yes and provided a quote for $199.00. He then asked why do I need an alignment? I told him that the control arm was changed. He the stated that because they did not changed the part on the car, they will not be able to guarantee the alignment.He has started the proposed service with making excuses for the work to be done.I asked if Midas is providing alignment, especially where the car is checked that it can be aligned, then why refuse to offer guarantee if the work is performed. Because if the work is performed, Midas is saying that the car can be aligned and that they have done the work properly.At that he became very mad lost his customer service manners and geared in an off-putting mode. He asked me to hold. He came back on the phone, for gotten that he had told me I could bring the car in, he said the Alignment machine was down and they are booked for the next 2 weeks. I told him I was going to review this encounter and made it clear that Midas would be busy for the next 2 weeks and their alignment machine is out of service indefinitely.Someone may be wondering why review based on this. Because that Midas employee does not believe that the information provided was part of his service to customer. And because this is how repair shops may take advantage of customer, especially where it is unnecessary. if a shop properly aligns a car, they should stand behind their work.I wish there was a way to post recorded phone calls, because it tells the encounter better.

Our experience at the 6730 Lee Highway Midas was outstanding, and Matt Niaz is a phenomenal store manager! We trust and highly recommend this establishment, and will definitely be returning for all of our future auto repair & maintenance work. I have owned several cars and have encountered many dishonest, over-priced and/or unqualified auto repair shops that try to take advantage of female drivers. When my brakes needed replacing, I did some research online and called multiple shops for cost estimates. From my very first phone conversation with Matt, I knew that he was the one for the job! He was calm, pleasant and professional. He was also very patient, gave honest answers to all of my questions, and was able to schedule my service immediately. When my fiance' and I arrived, Matt greeted us with a warm welcome and gave us a pretty accurate timeline for the initial brake evaluation and inspection. The waiting area was clean and comfortable, the shop was neat and organized, and the staff was working diligently. Once the evaluation was completed, Matt took the time to thoroughly explain the needed repairs/replacements, discuss all of my options, and review each cost estimate. He even walked us through a demo of the entire brake mechanism and pointed out other maintenance issues that needed to be addressed. Matt is so knowledgeable, and is such a great teacher, that we suggested he start his own YouTube channel! Matt's price quote was fair & reasonable, and his team completed the job to our satisfaction within his estimated time frame. I stopped here with a check engine light on because it was close to my kids school. There was a catalytic converter code, but also a misfire code. Matt and the crew there did a thorough workup and determined that the spark plugs were fouled and in need of replacement. They didn't just tell me, they showed me. I opted for plugs and coils to be replaced and the work was done quickly once the parts were in. The car has much improved power and I have not had another check engine light since then (4 months). I'll be bringing it back to these guys from now on.

The technician Matt was so helpful. He explained the whole process step by step. I called in about one issue turned out to be something less serious. They did not just take my money unlike other shops when women call in. They evaluated & fix the issue. Highly recommend especially if your a single woman!!!

Charlie, at the front desk, helped me replace my aftermarket exhaust in one day s time. He gave me multiple phone calls to ask if i wanted services done and answered specifics about the loudness of my new muffler and pipes. I picked up my truck late at night and Charlie called me back the next day to make sure that my brake lines weren t being interfered with by any of the new parts underneath. I greatly appreciated that gesture. At the same time i got my inspection and envisions tests done. It took 20 minutes and it was a very simple and enjoyable process. Honest and straightforward repair center. Matthew at the front desk is great to deal with and provides all options for repairs to allow you to make your own decision on how to proceed. Visited another Midas on S Glebe Rd earlier and was spoken to like I didn t know anything so I highly recommend this location over the one on S Glebe Rd.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I had a minor crisis driving into Arlington from loudoun County, where I live. Low oil light came on, car is dripping oil visibly...I pulled into Midas with no appointment or heads up and Charlie was very helpful. They got the car all fixed up and I was on my way again shortly. They were very kind to save me a tow back out to Loudoun, I would not have made it home without my engine seizing I am sure. Great shop!

Had a flat tire and rolled up on my spare. They were able to replace my tire, and get me in and out really quickly. Friendly, efficient, and explained everything. Not my usual mechanic, but will always keep them in mind when I'm in the area.

We pulled in to get some air in our tires the morning after Christmas and realized we had a flat. Thankfully Midas was open and was able to replace the flat, and we were on the road in 30 minutes. We received some great service from Matt Niaz and the staff, truly saved our day!

Matt from Midas was fantastic to work with. Not only did he do great work on our car, but he also saved us thousands of dollars in repairs the dealership was suggesting. He was extremely communicative about everything he was doing and extremely professional. I would highly, HIGHLY recommend taking your car to him. My tire pressure light came on the dashboard. I took the car here. The mechanic charged me $20 to add air to the tires. The light is still on. I googled the problem and found that it is the air pressure sensor that needs work. They could have made $65-99 for that work if they did it right. They are either incompetent or dishonest. In any case I m not going here again.Service: Tires

I don t often take the time to write review but when a business like this is consistently going above and beyond to surpass their client s expectations ITS WELL DESERVED!I took my car into Midas on Glebe Rd in Arlington Va to get looked at for one issue and they fixed multiple issues that could have been potentially life threatening, on a newer car I recently bought. I was so grateful and asked them how much the job was going to be and the owners told me don t worry about it, we just wanted to ensure your safety and only charged me for the original issue I brought my car in for WOW100/10These guys are great. I ll go here before I go to the dealership of the manufacture! We were just starting a road trip and had a flat before even leaving our residential neighborhood. We immediately went to Midas at Glebe and Columbia Pike, as the closest tire shop. They were able to fit us into a busy schedule and quickly got us a replacement tire, and we were back on the road in slightly more than an hour. Exceptional service, very helpful.Service: Tires

We needed an emergency repair before my daughter drove back across country after finishing college. Matthew was super busy but made every effort to squeeze us in, even putting in a rush order for parts. Somehow, he got the repair done timely and the steering is nice and tight again. Very expensive, disreputable sleazy employees, damaged my car and refused to acknowledge. Will not go back or recommend.Update with response to business owner's comments:I did not make a mistake about the store location and I will not remove my review as you requested. The logic that I could not have been to your shop because I posted the review on Sunday and you're not open on Sunday is absurd. Think about it.Consumers would do well to avoid major chains like Midas, and in particular poorly managed locations like this one, in favor of patronizing local garages, who actually care about providing a quality product and service at a reasonable cost.I will never go back to this location again, and would strongly recommend that other consumers consider doing the same.Service: Exhaust

Great experience here! Dropped off my car for some brake issues before I went to work. The shop is within walking distance from the East Falls Church Metro stop which was super convenient.They called me shortly after to tell me the diagnosis on the car and to let me know what the quote was (super polite and really nice). This was the second time I ve brought my car in and they have gone above and beyond by trying to fix my car key batteries that were dying.The team here is trustworthy and I can tell they genuinely have my best interests in mind and weren t trying to nickel and dime me. Will be bringing my car here from now on. Highly recommend!!

On Aug. 27th, my passenger side rear tire blew out during a severe thunderstorm with flash flooding. Upon calling Midas to find out whether or not my tire size was available, I was immediately provided the phone number for an affordable towing company to assist me. Though Midas didn't have my tire size in stock, they ordered it and had it ready on the morning of the very next business day. Due to a work emergency, I had to leave my car overnight again, and was ensured that my vehicle was parked safely inside and that there wouldn't be additional storage fees. When I arrived in person to pick up the car, the store manager took the time to doublecheck the pressure of all four tires prior to my pulling out, and also topped off my wiper fluid for free when he realized I was running low! This excellent level of customer service with my vehicle is almost unheard of; as a woman, I felt entirely comfortable with the shop, which also is rare. Thank you for taking such excellent care of my car! Rest assured, I will frequent Midas moving forward for all my vehicle needs. =)Service: Tires

Not having read the other reviews, I had TWO very good experiences here, specifically with Mr. Matt and the service techs. FIRST, my 17yo car (that's how I roll) began to swerve and shake under braking, terrifying on I66. Matt explained half a dozen potential explanations, but immediately described why several were very unlikely, one which was a logical first step, and another which was a potential second stop (worst case scenario). Note he called VERY promptly with early findings and, even though I told him I was busy at work at the time, he very pleasantly offered to move the car out of the service bay before proceeding so I could process the info - ZERO pressure. They made the repair to a bad brake lines, test drove it, problem solved. Second, I had 2 separately tires leaking and they found one leak from rim which was fixed with cleaning the wheel bead and second one with lead from valve, itself, which they were able to rebuild (O-ring, etc.) successfully, so no $190 new valve with TPS needed. In both repairs, they started with the most likely AND least expensive. 2 thumbs up!Service: Brakes

I returned to Midas Arlington after having exhaust work done several months ago because my ABS dash light was on and message center gave me a service warning.Counter staff explained the diagnostic process, and after the problem was identified he scheduled my repair for the next day when the part was not immediately available. I was pleased to see that the invoice was about what I expected -- a reasonable price for the work.I trust Midas Arlington to do the job right at a fair price, and I'm happy to be a repeat customer.
