Very poor experience! Called to confirm availability and price and fees of a specific car on their website as I was driving 2.5 hours. I was encouraged to make an appointment, which I did. When we arrived, the car we were interested in was pretty dirty inside and out. Our assigned sales person was rather inexperienced and could not answer one of our questions about the vehicle (my son, who was purchasing the car, knew much more about it then the sales person). I was given conflicting answers about the warranty info over the phone then in person. I was then told ALL cars had an additional $4999.00 fee added to the price in addition the $999 fee. I asked to speak to someone more knowledgeable about the vehicle AND this fee and warranty and was told the manager was on a call and would be out shortly. We could hear him talking casually to multiple people in the next room as the door was open. After about 20 minutes we left and told them to call us if they were interested in talking to us and went to the next dealer who had the same car not far from there. They never even called us! Thank goodness! We had the best experience at the 2nd dealership and walked out with a much nicer car!

Merlex has a beautiful array of handpicked cars at reasonable prices. They advertise wholesale prices online since they sell to dealers and require mandatory purchase of powertrain warranties (that dealerships honor), so do expect to pay more than their internet price. Customer service is excellent, and they went above and beyond to assist with financing. Not only did they mail me a check for battery replacement as promised, communication by text was quick and professional. Received plates and registration in the mail with no issues, just remember to text them a heads up when the temp plates expiration gets close. The car we bought is stunning and we would buy from them again. Ryan and the whole team were very friendly and accommodating.

This was easily the best car dealership I ve been to in my life. The customer service was amazing, Walter especially. They took the time to break down and explain everything to us. No hassling, no smooth talking. Gave us the truth and nothing but. They weren t just there to sell a car. They truly wanted to give us a good deal and make sure we left satisfied. Next time I want/need a car I won t even go to another dealership, and if you re looking to buy a car, go to Merlex auto group. I promise you won t regret it, and you will leave very satisfied with everything.

I absolutely love Merlex and would definitely come back. The cars are beautiful, but don t let that distract you from the beautiful customer service given at this place. Never felt so open and comfortable anywhere, the guys are constantly looking to help and are very helpful. Got my 2020 Glc300 from here and am very satisfied with my purchase and experience and have absolutely no regrets!!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM THEY SOLD ME A CAR WITH A BOGUS EXTENDED WARRANTY!!!The car was online for about $41,000, which was a really good price!. I got to the dealer, and they added $4,995 to the price for certification. I purchased the car in March of 2023 for about $50,000 including taxes and fees. As part of the deal, they included a 3rd-party extended warranty. Several months later, the vehicle needs a $30,000 engine!!! When we reached out to the warranty company, we were informed that warranty was cancelled by Merlex a few days after the sale! I have made several calls to Merlex, and left several messages with employees who indicated that someone would call me back. Nobody ever does. I am now stuck paying $700 per month for the next 6 years for a car that can't be driven. I have referred the matter to the Virgina State Attorney's Office. I would encourage anyone in a similar situation to do the same

As a first time car buyer I was very nervous and skeptical about looking for the right dealership. Everything changed when I found Merlex. When I called to see if the car I wanted was there, Mike was so nice over the phone and made me feel like a valued customer and I wasn t even there yet. When I arrived it was all smiles and positive vibes. Unfortunately the original car in the color I wanted wasn t there when I arrived but Carlos made a call and brought a BETTER option to the lot the NEXT DAY!! You feel very welcomed and important at Merlex. Everyone here is friendly and personable and I absolutely love my car! If you are looking to purchase a vehicle and whatever dealership you are considering going to... FORGET IT! Please consider coming to Merlex Auto Group. They will get you in the car you want with no problem. (They also bought my whole family food which was so nice of them.) I cannot thank Walter and the whole team enough. Best Car Dealership in the DVM.

As a first time buyer, I was extremely skeptical about finding a trustworthy dealership. As soon as I arrived, Rano was very polite and helped me throughout the process. He explained everything in details and answered all my questions. Then, Pete took over and guided me through the finance process and made sure I got the best deal! I recommend this dealership with no doubt. Great prices, great cars and good deals!

Don t waste your time. They certainly will.Let s start with the test drive. We called ahead and made an appointment to see a low-mile S450. After loading in my kid s car seat and getting ready to start, the sales guy claims it is company policy that he has to ride along. I tell him no thanks, not happening. Manager comes out and is adamant, so I say okay, we ll go somewhere else. I unload the car seat, put it back into my car and we are about to pull away, and the manager flags me down saying that the owner happened to be there and okayed it, just for us. Okay. So this is how it s going to be . We reload the car seat again and do the test drive. We tell them we will think about it, and shockingly they don t try any high pressure tactics to keep us on the lot.Now, for the inspection. I call the next day to say we are interested in the car but first need a pre-purchase inspection with my mechanic. They flat refuse to let me use anyone but Mercedes of Arlington. I agree to this, but turns out MB Arlington doesn t do PPIs anymore. Neither does Tysons. Alexandria does, so I make an appointment. I let the sales guy know, he agrees, and I tell him I will be there the next day to pick up the car at 10:30. When I show up, he isn t there, no one knows about the PPI, and there is no manager who can release the car. I call MB to push back my appointment by an hour, thinking I will get this sorted. I get repeated promises that a manger should be there any minute. I ask them to get a manager on the phone. They claim no one is answering. After waiting almost an hour I get up to leave and a manger finally walks in. He now claims I can t take the car for insurance reasons and that the sales guy never had the authority to agree to the PPI. After making it clear that I m not buying a car without an inspection, he finally agrees to have one of his guys drive the car to MY mechanic to make up for the mixup. We call my guy together to arrange the appointment for the next day. I am still ticked, but I shake his hand and thank him for making it right, thinking we are back on track. Ha!The sales guy texts me a little later, asking for the address of my mechanic (despite the manager having that info), which I send him, along with the name of the shop. Late that night, he texts me saying he heard we had agreed to a different place. I told him to check with his manager, and that I was not interested in having this conversation again. The next morning I text the manager and asked him to confirm our agreement. He doesn t respond. No one shows up for the PPI appointment, so now they have wasted my time and my mechanic s. They didn t even have the courtesy to text or call or even apologize when I told them I was not interested in continuing to do business with them. Unbelievably disrespectful.I can only imagine the bullshit they would have pulled had I actually gotten to the negotiations and who knows what they were trying to hide by avoiding an inspection. Bullet dodged.

I was initially intending to go through Navy Federal, but it did not work out. However, Mr. Peter helped me out and got me the best financing through his banks. Thanks again to the team

If you are in the market for a luxury SUV or car, check out MerLex on Glebe Rd in Arlington, VA! My partner was seeking to buy a luxury SUV with all the smart features and enough room for the family, however, neither of us enjoy haggling with car salespeople nor have patience to spend all day at a dealership. After 2 unpleasant encounters at 2 other dealerships in No. VA, we happened to drive pass MerLex (Mercedes & Lexus) on Glebe Rd, and decided to stop after seeing all the high-end luxury cars and SUVs on their lot. We were greeted by Rand who is professional and genuine in his customer care delivery. Rand was not pushy or obnoxious, and he actually listened to what we said about the SUV we sought. Rand showed us 3 SUVs that were in stock, garaged (wow!), and MerLex had them in different colors! We test drove one of the SUVs on our own with no pressure to buy, and we loved that SUV but had an appointment, so after test driving it, we left. Later that evening, we called MerLex to let them know we were interested in that SUV we test drove but returned 2 days later to meet with the GSM, Alberto Cornejo, to purchase the vehicle. What an unexpected pleasant experience! Alberto was so knowledgeable about luxury vehicles his passion for these vehicles came through even while completing all the purchase paperwork. Alberto spent equal time going over paperwork as he did with showing us all the smart tech, bells and whistles of this SUV! Alberto gave a good deal on this SUV and a few perks detailed interior and exterior of this SUV, agreed to fix a small chipped area of paint, filled gas tank, and gave us 1 FREE detailing service at our convenience! We arrived at 6:30pm and my partner was driving off MerLex s lot in his white luxury SUV with tan interior at 9:30pm. MerLex closed at 8pm that day, but Alberto and Rand spent time with us. What a beautiful unexpected experience at a car dealership! See pics!

AMAZING!!! Got my lovely 2021 Acura from here and it s been a dream come true, everything was simple and straightforward and the process is easy. Great minds in this place as well I highly recommend you to ask for assistance they will help you with whatever you need and are very knowledgeable and respectful. 10/10 overall experience could not ask for more!!!

This dealership was very professional in person, and had good customer service. however they delayed payoff of my trade-in vehicle and caused a missed payment to hit my credit report. My previous vehicle has still not been paid off and it s been going on 3 weeks. The vehicle I purchased also had a tail light out that I did not notice until after.

I found Merlex simply from searching on the web trying to purchase my first vehicle. As soon as i arrived i knew this is where i would be buying my first car. all of the salesmen and employees are great people welcomed me and all my family members with open arms. All vehicles were very well kept and you could tell maintenance was kept up to date.Not only did I buy my first car my sister came along without intent to purchase and ending up purchasing because of the hospitality. we were treated great by, Mike, Rakeem, Baker, Walter and everyone made sure me and my family were taken good care of even had the time to take me and my family to get lunch ON THEM! I highly doubt i will ever encounter an experience at a dealership like i did today with the Merlex auto group i felt at home and felt like they had my best interest at heart. i will never forget these people.If ANYONE is in need of a car in the DMV AREA come to Merlex auto and you will not be disappointed. And to finalize my review i would like to thank Walter the GM of the dealership a very Humble, Generous, and Respectful guy. I wont go into detail but he helped me out so much i am beyond thankful for meeting this man today a overall great human being.

Price too good to be true well that s because it is. Staff are super friendly, greet you well and take care of you. But when the finance guy (Rob) starts with, well obviously we can t advertise the real price otherwise people wouldn t come in you know it isn t going to be good. The advertised price of $23,999 quickly jumped to $34,000 (before taxes). I was polite, but pretty ticked to have wasted a few hours of my time on a car that their carfax showed only worth $29,000 as the suggested price. While the sales people are really nice, I would never return. Don t list a price that you plan to mark up almost $10K (almost 50% more) than what you advertise. Definitely felt predatory, do you research and just don t go. I'm sure the canned and very disingenuous response will be "thanks for bringing this to our attention, we will address it." This is obviously not true, as if you scroll past a few 5 star reviews (which I'm sure are completely legit ;), you will see more 1 stars that state the exact same scenario that I had.

Worst dealership I have ever encountered.Its been a little over 2 years sense I bought a vehicle from the dealership. This car has been nothing but hell to deal with. Consistent issues throughout the years. Also, year later, to find out the vehicle was originally imported from Canada, which was never mentioned in Carfax history. Also, to add to that six month after buying the vehicle, I got pulled over and was told the tags don t match the vehicle that I received from the dealership. To find out they never registered the vehicle properly, gave me tags that don't match the vehicle or registration. Also now I'm older i realized they took advantage off me not having knowledge in buying cars. Till this day I regret ever walking in to this dealership. If you get the chance to read this do your self a favor and find a different place to shop at.

The worst experience with a car dealer I have ever had. They are super disrespectful and customer service especially. The one named Brian who hung up on my wife for simply asking about a vehicle that is advertised on their website as being available. Do yourself a favor and resign if you don't know how to deal with people or give a good customer service and even more when it comes to a woman not with an animal or anything else.

Recently purchased a vehicle on 11/18/23 from this business. I test drove car and questioned sunroof closing tightly. I contacted dealer 7 days later to inform sunroof still was not closing properly. Dealer sent to a shop who gave estimate of 2500.00 -2800.00 to repair sunroof. Dealer stated I could use warranty and pay $100 which would be great if sunroof was covered in warranty. Unfortunately sunroof is not covered and now I have been awaiting help from a manager for days as I am paying for a car that cannot be driven if rain to avoid interior damage. Poor service after they receive check for car.

Don't waste your precious time, money or energy. They are same with Global Auto sales in Temple Hills. Bunch of bad business people using bait and switch techniques for a sale.They advertise cars for like 10k dollars what they are worth and then once you are lured in they sneak in a tonne of money to the set price.I went in for Mercedes GLS they had online but not on the store and they tried yo get me different car.They are also unprofessional, and lack basic courtesy when they are plainly lying. KEEP OFF

BUYER BEWARE: If their prices seem very reasonable, it is because you will be hit with $6000.00 in "fees" that will show up on your final paperwork. BTW, they also charge you taxes on the "fees". They are nice enough at the lot....because they want to sell you a car, but don't be fooled - these are top-notch hustlers....
