My wife and I have been J&F customers for nearly 40 years. We have uniformly been entirely satisfied with their work. Communication with them is direct and honest. They have been accommodating to our scheduling and other needs. Our repairs and maintenance have always been completed on time and as promised. Greg, Mike, and Charlie have always treated us like much more than just customers. In short, if you live in or near Arlington, Alexandria and Fairfax, and have a BMW in need ofservice or repair, J&F is the place to go, period.

I moved to DC from Boston and needed an oil change and general check of my Audi TT. These guys fit me into their schedule quickly, were efficient with their work and were kind and responsive when dealing with me. They even tolerated my crazy Maltese in the waiting area. I highly recommend them and will be back when my car needs additional service.

J&F Motors are exceptional! Charlie, the service manager is informative, knowledgeable and above all honest, a rare characteristics that are rare in the automotive service industry.I own an X-Drive 650i with an M-Sport package. In the past I received bad ( an expensive) advice about issues I experienced with my automobile. J&F Motors addressed these issues within a reasonable price range. I am more than satisfied with the quality of their work and I am planning to return for major brake/rotor replacements! Can t say enough good things about J&F Motors. They always take great care of our vehicles and are extremely easy to deal with. Professional, courteous, and just really great to talk to. Extremely honest and will make sure the job is done correctly and will do their best to save you money. Hard to fine this kind of service in the automotive industry. I had a very pleasant experience with J & F motors, I called and spoke to Greg initially who set up an appointment, Charlie assisted me the morning of my service appointment and communicated with me throughout my vehicles time with them. They were straightforward and advised me on services & parts I did and didn t need. Pricing was great compared to a dealership, my car is driving soooo smooth, I will be a repeat customer.

I have brought my here for regular service, and for a tire issue and both times were great! They worked with me to determine the most important things to do to stay within my budget. My tire had a nail in it and a tire store told me it could not be patched - but J&F said they would try their best to patch it if they could. I appreciated the effort to help me, which isn't my normal experience with car repairs. I will continue to go here for any of my cars needs!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I only discovered J&F 2 years ago but I will never go anyplace else in the DC area. I had been using the BMW dealership long after my warranty had expired and finally got tired of paying their outrageous prices. J and F offers the most personalized and friendly service you could ever imagine from a car repair shop. They focus on German cars, mostly BMWs but all other German cars as well. They keep in close touch throughout the day or days that your car is undergoing repairs and clearly explain various options and costs for you to make a decision. the owner seems to always be working at the front desk and truly is interested in every car and every person. They offer you a ride to the Metro and the best part of all is. if you are lucky Reagan the dog will bring toys to play with and come wait with you in the lounge. (Reagan: "Hey. mister, I think you will have fun if you play tug of war with me with this rope while you wait for your ride.")

I take my bmw here any time I have issues with it. Always trust them to tell me what s wrong and suggest any other work the car needs done. I recently brought my car in for an engine malfunction but also requested a state inspection and emissions test. Even though they do not offer these services they were still willing to take it to another a place that did and get those done for me. Highly recommend this place.

Exactly what you want. I was in the area from out of town, and J&F really helped me out in a pinch. Charlie was great to work with, and these guys provided honest and high quality service at a very fair price. If I lived in the area, this would be my shop, no doubt. J&F motors is one of those repair shops that actually cares about getting it right. They work on both our Volvo and VW, and are great about getting to the root cause of any problems and fixing them. I would not take my car anywhere but here. The diagnoses of problems is consistently accurate, the estimates are reliable, and the work is performed in a timely and quality manner. I couldn't give J&F a higher recommendation. Saw there reviews and thought they were a fair and genuine shop. Scammers,Called them and asked for a price to change a pin in my actuator. They said they don t replace the pin. They have to replace the whole actuator. Ok. Then is gives me 3 hours of labor for a job that requires literally 10 minutes and triples the price of the part. Total price he gave me over $700 for a job less than $50-100. Please be careful when getting estimates for them. It is not two hours as you stated and it took me literally 10-15 mins to fix it myself even when you replace the actuator itself it takes the same time You guys take advantage of people of lack knowledge about cars. Greg and Charlie know their stuff, their team is top notch and the service can't be beat! They give it to you straight and never try the up sell, they help you plan for repairs overtime like not other auto shop I ever dealt with.

I have an Audi A3 & needed to have some transmission work done. Based on the reviews, I felt more comfortable bringing my car here than the Audi Service close to me. I was very pleased with the service here. As a woman, I didn t feel like they were talking down to me or being condescending. They were transparent and respectful. They also offer a shuttle. I loved the shop dog, Reagan! She s sweet. Some time after the repair, they texted me, following up to make sure everything was still going okay. That was a nice touch.Several weeks later I drove over to the shop unannounced because I noticed a leak (unrelated to the transmission repair) and Greg was kind enough to come out & check it out. They fit me in the next morning to do the repair. They're usually pretty booked up, so I appreciated them fitting me in last minute.Once again, great service & transparent about the whole process & the estimate. It s a bit pricey BUT you get what you pay for. I definitely feel like the cost was worth it because they had service to match! If there s anything going on with my car, I will be taking it to J&F motors !Service: Transmission repair

My car was nearly due for a 60,000 mile check/service when I needed to take a long (1,000+ miles) trip for a family emergency. J&F checked the car, did the necessary maintenance, and said it would be fine for the trip. I didn't have time to take the car on a highway until we were on our way west on I-66, so I hoped they were right. They were. The car performed flawlessly and got good gas mileage too. Both Greg and Charlie were excellent and responsive to all my questions. For example they said the car needs new tires, but that it could wait until after the trip, and gave me options for getting new RF tires. Their invoice was very reasonable and I had total confidence in what they said. I'm delighted to have found J&F Motors and will return there whenever my car needs services they can provide. I have been bringing my now antique 1991 Volvo 240 4 Door Sedan to J&F since 1995 and my 1993 BMW 325i. I trust Charlie, Greg and the Team to take great care of my special automobiles! There's no one else I trust to take a look at my BMW than the folks at J&F Motors! They have repeatedly come through for me, and I trust Greg, Charlie, and the team there after 5 years of working with them. At one point, I moved out of the area and took my car elsewhere, only to return to J&F Motors, having wasted time and money elsewhere. Feel assured that you and your call will be in the best of hands with J&F Motors and that they will give you the best deal and treat you with fairness.

It s great to have a shop you can trust with the most prized cars in your collection or your daily commuter. You always interact with the same people- Charlie and Greg. Along with their technicians, they know the cars they service as well as anyone and better than you could find at the dealer these days. Brought my 435i to them for the first time and let them know I was looking for a quality indy shop in the area and had heard they provided quality service at honest prices. They gave me an oil change for $165 which I thought was a bit high - that's about what I expected a dealer to charge but I didn't get a quote from a dealer to compare so I didn't complain. Then they recommended changing my cabin and engine air filters. Fair enough, they haven't been changed yet and are probably due. They quoted me $52 for the engine air filter, $59 for the cabin air filter and $145 in labor for a total of $256.The genuine BMW engine air filter costs $35, the genuine cabin filter costs $46 and buying from an OEM supplier like Corteco cuts those prices in half. These are very easy to install as well, they both take about five minutes. An actual technician could install these with their eyes closed so I have no idea where they got $145 of labor from.Needless to say I realized I was bring ripped off and didn't have them change the filters. It's unfortunate because I wanted this to become my go-to shop but instead of getting all of my future business they tried to rip me off over some simple filters on my first visit immediately after I told them I heard they were a good place and wouldn't rip me off. My interactions with the staff were great, very friendly people, but I left insulted at that quote and won't be back as a result. Prioritizing a quick buck over a potential lifetime customer...

Used J&F to repair damage to my belts and tension system. This was the 2nd timing using J&F and they continue to impress me with their work, customer service, and fair pricing. I have been a BMW owner since 2006 and used multiple repair/maintenance shops over the years and J&F is the best to date.
