This is my third time taking my car to Octane for Oil Change. This time I asked them to replace the brake fluid and tire rotation as well. Reasonable price, wait time is good. My recommendation is to give them a call in advance and bring the car to the shop early in the day.

Got a last minute oil change through them for an emergency road trip, and they were both quick and nice enough to also top off the air in my tires as well. My car had no problems with the drive there and back.

Called all the local repair shops after running over a ninja star and Octane was the only shop that took me in right away on a Saturday afternoon. Call it lucky but the service and wait time was worth the wait if there was one. Inspected my issue as soon as I arrived and went to find a replacement tire as the ninja star cut was too large. Issue was resolved promptly and I was able to go on with my day while my family was enjoying a meal while I went for this service. The owner took care of my issue as he mentioned he was covering for one of his employees, this made for an overall nice experience and felt good to thank the owner directly. This place is highly recommended!

It's always hard to find a shop that you feel you can trust. They know a lot more about these kinds of things than the average person, so how can you know if they're being honest or trying to fleece you? With that being said, I'm happy to have found this shop. I do trust them, and have taken my car here several times already, and plan to continue to take it here.

They're honest about their work. Never over-charge. They always seem to consider the less expensive route to fixing, which is something I really appreciate. A week after an oil change, my car made strange noises when I'm driving. I thought something terribly went wrong and I contacted this mechanic; he took the car and told me "there's not enough oil in the car." I paid $5 to top up the low engine oil; the problem was resolved. Others may have taken advantage of my lack of knowledge and said something else to collect 100 bucks or so. I could have given $100 easily without question because I thought something was wrong terribly but it wasn't so and he was honest enough to tell me he's just going to take $5 from me. This is why I recommend this place as the right spot to come.

A long time customer. I highly recommend this shop. Their services are trustworthy, reliable, and best-value; it's everything you can ask from your full services mechanic. On several occasions this shop helped me by recommending only the minimum required services compared to dealership estimates.

2023 Update: Still happy, so very grateful to these guys. They are so honest and good-natured. I have a brother who is an auto mechanic, and after 10 years of coming to Octane Auto, it feels like my auto-family has extended to them.2019: Fast, honest, and thorough work. Unlike dealership vibes of overselling and under-providing, Octane Auto is authentic about their work. Terrible communication both within the business and to the customer.Turned it in and didn t get it back for 16 days. Wouldn t have been so mad about it, but the reason everything took so long was because the receptionist never notified the mechanic that I authorized the repairs. Every person I spoke to on the phone told me a different ready date, so I turned my rental car in nearly a week too soon. After 14 days, they said it was ready, so I paid- but couldn t even leave the parking lot because it was actually not ready yet. They also did not let me know about a new issue I need to repair until the 14th day, and wouldn t tell me when they actually diagnosed the new problem Took 2 more days but they even tried to push that to 3.Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance

I m a first time car owner and it s my first time bringing a car in. The owner spoke English fluently and was to the point. No upselling and he leaves you alone after the initial diagnosis. He seems to be well loved in the community as others dropped by to say hello. Was in and out pretty quickly and the price was less than I expected. The battery was a good brand and I appreciate a no frills approach. Will be coming back here!Services: Tires, Battery, Oil change

Great service and efficient. I was there for an oil change and was in and out in about 30 minutes. They topped off all fluids and checked essential systems. Great place.

Excellent service!!! extremely hard to find a honest skilled mechanic nowadays but Ino definitely surpassed that bar! great prices!! and the most important thing honest assessments! I brought my f150 like 4 times already and will keep bringing it!! highly recommend this place!

We take 3 cars there for service, and have done so for over a year. They consistently meet or exceed our expectations. They are honest, reasonably priced and highly competent. They are usually very busy, but if you are patient, they will come through for you.

Great Service. I came here for an A/C evacuate and recharge because my A/C wasn't blowing cold.The bottles they sell at the store are not always going to fix your A/C problems and may make your A/C worse or even ruin your A/C system.I was charge $95 for an evacuate and recharge which is much cheaper than other places in the northern VA area. My A/C is super cold now. The Auto Service only took about 2 hours with no appointment.There are things you can do at home to save money and do a good job like an oil change, but leave the A/C evacuate and recharge for the professionals. For $95 it was worth it to fix the A/C the right way.

Best mechanic shop I've ever visited. Just honest people doing their best to get your car fix, no up sales or funny business. Always are packed with vehicles because of the quality of service. Wouldn t recommend this business to anyone. Took for them weeks to get car finished, wouldn t provide a written invoice and installed defective parts. Over-priced and poor service.

While I rarely post reviews, I feel compelled to post my experience with Octane Auto. I had a different service provider change the oil in my Highlander. Driving away I noted a clicking sound coming from the engine, returned to the provider, but unfortunately they were unable to find the cause. Fortunately he recommended I go to Octane. In 5 minutes the mechanic at Octane diagnosed the problem and quickly fixed it, yet refused payment to repair the prior provider s error. As an engineer I was impressed by his ability to quickly diagnose a hard to identify symptom, and as a customer I was impressed by his ethic. I think I found a new mechanic.

I am a former engineer and a DIY mechanic opting to do my car repairs myself to save money. These repairs include replacing engine mounts, oil changes, CV axles, brakes, driver-side window repair , radiator, emission systems, hoses, belts, headlights, plugs, wires, ignition coils, door handles, seat belts, and more.That said, Octane Auto Repair is my Goto Shop when I need help. This shop has highly-qualified, certified, and experienced mechanics. They even work on Postal vehicles.In contrast, many consumer experiences with auto shops have often been negative. These are the shops with incompetent mechanics who do not troubleshoot replacing parts which are not defective, or charge extra labor hours not required.Octane Auto provides quality service at the best price of any auto shop I have ever worked with. You will always be accommodated fairly and their turn around time is fast considering the volume of repairs they do.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

Fantastic service, affordable prices, very much no nonsense. They will not upsell you on stuff you don't need, they know what they are doing. As a result they are very busy, try to call ahead to make sure their garage has room!

Octane Auto is the the only Mechcanical shop that I would recommend. I don t live in the area anymore but I still take my cars to them. They are friendly, honest, and great prices.

It was really fortunate that I had a car problem not far from there. They were happy to come and solve problems. I felt that they put customers first, not money. best!!
