Honest car repair shop!Vaughan's Car Care and Jonathan are extremely honest about the repairs needed on your car. My best friend told me about them and I won't go anywhere else. I've gone there for oil changes, noises that the car is making that shouldn't be, and most recently a check engine light being on. They take a basic look at the codes for free then do a full-diagnostic if requested. My fix didn't need to be done and Jonathan told me that but it was the only way to clear the check engine light. It wasn't a big problem. The team is extremely honest and don't price gouge you because you're in a bind. I tell all my friends to go there.

Great people, great customer service, and go out of their way for their community!We had a house fire and needed to a bobcat to grade our yard. Mr. Vaughn went above and beyond with delivery and extensions for how long we needed to use his equipment.Thank you for the great customer service when it comes to renting, as well as mechanical repairs for our cars. Happy to say this company is in my community!

Vaughan's was Wonderful!!! I am going to make them my permanent place to take my car. Very friendly and informative. I felt at ease as soon as I walked in the door. Never felt like that before. Took great care of this old woman and didn't take advantage. Less than I expected the final bill to be. Love this place.

Looking to have state inspection on my Tesla.No one in or around Richmond would see me "today" so I started looking out in the country. Everyone was seemingly booked and could not squeeze me in.As I was looking over Google maps, it showed me everyone who does state inspections along with their last review.Vaughan had a bad review, so I figured they would be less busy.Vaughan did get me in "today" and Jonathan was fantastic. I would see these people again should the need ever arise.Very large waiting area with tv. I was in and out of there very quickly. You should check them out, but not in November 2024 which is when I will need my next state inspection

I seldom give reviews but Doug and his team deserve five stars all around. Not only did we get a brand new mower for hundreds less than the competitors, we got the best customer service I ve had year to date from anyone, anywhere. Doug took the time to show me how the mower works, explained every function and what to do and what to avoid. They even delivered the mower to me the same day. I see a lot of people on here giving subpar reviews and honestly you can chalk it up to people who don t take care of their equipment and are mad when they don t get their way. There was no upsell, no haggling, just a phenomenal experience all around. Oh yah the mower is awesome, thanks again Doug and team.

I love this shop. They always treat you like a person and not a invoice, very fair prices and prompt service. I ve been a customer for over ten years and plan to be for another ten + years. I ve also never felt that they would take advantage or sell something that wasn t needed or necessary. Highly recommended.

I took my car here and was treated with respect and kindness. My family has been in the car business since I was a kid and I can tell they care. When he took my car for a lengthy test drive I knew I was dealing with professionals. The prices are very fair and no hidden charges. Brought in my Honda fit to get a new AC compressor and my car gave them hell, one thing after another, part after part, the team was very helpful, kind, apologetic and patient during the whole ordeal. Great customer care! Honest and dedicated staff. Took care of my repairs and got me in and out in good timing. Now my go to shop for service and repairs. Definitely recommend you take your car to Vaughan's if you want it worked on properly and efficiently !!

I was very pleased with their service and availability. I called last minute and they were able to squeeze me in for a Virginia inspection. Very clean family operation. I will do business with them again if I can.

I will keep this short and sweet. I was having issues with my transmission. The fluid was bad and I didn't have the means of flushing it myself. I wasn't even sure if this would fix the issue but I figured I would try before other money intensive methods. I took it to them to be flushed (notice I said flush) and after about an hour I was told that my fluid was so bad that they wanted to know if I would like my filter replaced for an extra $10. I said sure red flag one I ignored. After another hour and a half my car is ready I pay and leave. Well I decide to check the fluid and low and behold it is at best a reddish brown. When a flush happens the fluid should be red red. So I look at my service ticket and it says I was charged for a transmission service. Not what I had asked for but what I had received. Also to note most fluid changes include a filter in the price. I made a phone call and I won't go into that detail but they will completely and utterly rip you off. The mechanic that worked on my car was very nice and polite and I am not mad at him. The owner however does not pay attention to what is being asked for and writes service tickets for whatever only to call them miscommunications.He will either over charge you, not do what you asked, or tell you there's a bunch of stuff that's (not) wrong with your car. If you want your car fixed by them you'll have to take it there twice because he will actually fix it for free the second time around.I am glad that what was wrong with my vehicle wasn't major and couldn't cause a possibly fatal accident had it malfunctioned.Please go anywhere else.Service: Transmission

These folks are professional, good prices, great customer service, I would never take my vehicle any place else. My cousin had Vaughn s put in a new motor in his truck, and I had the complete cooling system replaced on my Chevy. We are both completely satisfied.Service: Engine repairService: Engine repair

Great service honesty and integrity. I checked my car in last week expecting multiple parts needed to be replaced in the front suspension. It turned out it was only two, they could have easily sold me additional parts but they assured me it was not necessary and kept my bill from Breaking the Bank. You don't find that often these days. Also a great written warranty on their work. Highly recommend.

Vaughan s Car Care has always taken care of my automotive services 100%. They are honest and knowledgeable in auto repairs. The price for the work is what I agree to pay before the work is done and completed. People who claim they are over priced either like to complain or do not get an estimate before hand. When a person agrees to the price, there is no reason to complain. Also, some people expect free service because they tend to think everyone is out to screw them. This is not Vaughan s Car Care Service. They are a reputable business I stand behind. Keep up the great service!

Thanks so much for helping my friend today. With a quick phone call Doug immediately sent his guy to jump her battery. She then popped over for a new battery and was able to make her trip this weekend. Always wonderful customer service from Doug and his crew.

This place was great. They squeezed me in to get so tires onto my trailer wheels. Got it done in 45 minutes. Price was comparable to anywhere else. This is my new place for tires for sure.

I was driving from Alabama to Richmond and while cruising through Amelia Court House, Virginia, my car lost power. I coasted into a gas station and called Vaughan's because of the good reviews I saw. I was really stuck and Doug Vaughan saved the day. I was towed to Vaughan's and Doug and his team diagnosed the problem and got me on the road again for less than $150. Most excellent service in a clean, well-run shop. Thanks, Doug!

Super friendly staff and always very helpful. They have always been able to get my automobiles in and out quickly. They know you by name when you walk in and are always willing to discuss any issues you have.

Used them for years, never again after seeing the poor workmanship when installing my trans cooler and auxiliary fan. Bent my condenser to get the fan in, then used 5-6 hose clamps with fittings to tie the transmission lines in, which of course are now leaking

Great friendly staff. Only problem I have had was twice they have forgotten to put inspection sticker on the windshield after doing a state inspection.

Friendly staff. Had inspection done and signal was not fixed. Other work on oil leeks replace hose and belt done. Would go again.
