Tom was great and had me in and out within 15 mins for a battery replacement. Car had other minor issues but he didn t try to push a sale. Will definitely be back!

I have finally found my mechanic.I came to K&B Auto for a second opinion on services recommended for my 2015 Corolla by a highly rated local chain in the VA/MD area. Tom walked me through the services, what I did and did not need, and pricing (which was half of the competitor s!).Tom was not only transparent, but one of the kindest people I ve had the pleasure of speaking with. He has my business as long as I live in here, and I ll be recommending him to everyone I know.

I have been going to Tom for 15 years. anyone I have ever recommended to this shop has thanked me profusely and continues use these services. Without a doubt the best mechanic shop I ve ever been to. This is undeniably the best mechanic shop experience I ve EVER had. First off, Tom is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. They do wonderful work and are truly 100% honest. During a brake pad job he even told me they d broken a screw, and they not only told me about it, but they had the character and integrity to let me know it happened and they covered the cost to get the correct OEM Subaru parts to repair it properly. They have top notch attention to detail and they take care of your property as if it was their own. I honestly won t go anywhere else. K&B auto provides top notch work and they always keep their service prices reasonable. I trust them with my Subaru and I look forward to continued business! Thank you!!!

As a female going to the mechanic can be very intimidating. Not here. As others have said Tom is literally the most honest mechanic I ve ever met. My 08 Honda has never driven better!!

Everything you hear is true. I'd like this business to prosper because I found a mechanic I trust. I'd like to say the prices are far too low. I'm very knowledgeable about cars but not electronics. It drives me crazy when I take my Subaru to the dealership and I'm told things I know to be untrue.Tom at K & B auto could have charged me 3500. Like the dealer would have. He charged me 300 dollars. I'm going back to buy lunch for everyone.

I would absolutely recommend K&B. The owner, Tom, is exceptionally friendly and trustworthy. I needed my clutch replaced in my 2009 Subaru Impreza. Having lived in the area for only a couple of months, I called the local dealer who quoted my at over $3,000. Thank goodness I called K&B. Tom completed the work for less than half that amount and the car is running great and the clutch is so smooth. If you have a Japanese car, don t waste your time or money - go to K&B!

they are rubbing people and there is a female she is very rude and nasty be careful everybody. long story short i went to change two front wheel bearing and they asked for $700 labor for replacing a $31 part an believable.

I ve been bringing my cars to K&B for several years. I have never trusted a mechanic like I do with Tom. He is honest and thorough and will give you options, if needed. Best mechanic shop I have ever been to. Tom and his team were extremely helpful and professional. He personally went on a 20 minute test drive with me afterwards to make sure my issue was fixed. Prices were very fair for the service.

This is the best auto reapir shop around. These guys are kind and they know what to do.I ve been here a few times for oil change, battery replacement and control arms replacement they have done it quickly. It is much more affordable than other shops around. Highly recommended.

Honest, kind, and helpful mechanics. No upselling. Brought them my new used car, and they gave great consultations on how to prioritize repairs. Pretty quick, too. Heard about them from a friend and I drove thirty minutes out to drop off my car. It's so worth it. Tom is amazing.

The guys are very nice. They had my Jeep fixed in no time. My husband had his oil changed there in his Jeep. Both times we were taken care of quickly, professionally, and at very reasonable prices. We both are very happy with KB and will look to them for our car needs for sure!

THE BEST mechanic shop will find anywhere!!! If in the DMV area and in search of an honest, knowledgeable, reasonable and understanding auto repair shop K&B is the place to go! Tom and his team are ALWAYS very professional and transparent in communicating what repairs you really need. They don t charge outrageous rates and do amazing work! Not enough words that I could type or stars I could rate that would speak to how great they are! You won t regret giving them your business.

Honest and fair prices. Plus he knows what is wrong with a car. Wasted my time at 3 dealers. He correctly diagnosed in 15 minutes that it was an electrical issue and told me I needed a specialist. He was right. Has fixed 2 different cars for me. Another time my car failed inspection. A 15 year old car. I just wanted it fixed "good enough." Tome did that it was half the price I was quoted by the inspection place. 2 years later, I have had no problems at all with my old car. Great work.

My IS250 has been serviced by Tom and Team since 2013. With the exception of some major work, done by Pohanka or Lindsey, Tom has taken care of practically everything - to the point my car is now at 206K miles still sounding amazing!My car has been honestly looked over by Tom and Team members, test driven together with Tom himself, and I've even had the opportunity on many occasions to go into the garage to see what were causing noises. He has never charged me for issues he says it is not a concern, never tried to sell me anything I didn't need, and even at times told me if my brake pads have plenty of life to avoid having me replace them too soon for unnecessary costs during a routine 5K mile check.During times I used Wiguyl or other local shops, out of sheer convenience, I have regretted because I was overcharged or told to replace something I didn't need to. Tom, his wife, and Team have been taking care of me and my car for the last decade, and I will continue to be back with my IS250, and new car, so as long as Tom and team continue to be around!

Quick and quality serviceEdit: I got a safety inspection done at another mechanic and failed it because of my control arms. They quoted me $1300. I went to K&B because they gave me good service last time and asked them about it. Tom said it seemed sketchy and suggested I go get it tested again somewhere else. I passed with no problems. Tom knew I would do my repair at K&B, yet passed up $1300 by suggesting I get it inspected again. They are an honest mechanic with integrity, I'm not going anywhere else when I need auto work done.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

It's so hard to find a fair and honest mechanic..Tom is one of them. He quoted a price that was higher than the service costs and instead of charging the higher price, he told me about the price difference and charged the lower price. His honesty is rare in the DMV. He's earned a loyal customer with me. Not to mention he actually SHOWS you what's wrong with your car instead of just telling you.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I went in to check out a squeaking sound from my brakes. The mechanic was open and honest about the issue he found and I respected that he didn't try to sell me on the costly replacements that I was worried I'd have to get done. He also refused to take any money for taking a look at my car. Respectful and trustworthy guys working here.

Tom at K&B Auto was recommended to me after I went to a different automotive shop where I felt they were not being honest with me about what my vehicle needed. I drove straight to K&B to see Tom after the recommendation, and he confirmed what I thought and was extremely helpful and honest. He saved me $1,400. He also checked my vehicle over to make sure I was good to go! I ve officially found myself a trustworthy place to take my vehicle for service from now on. My brakes went out about .25 miles away from here. They took me on the spot and were honest, timely, and fair priced. Tom and his team are the best mechanics in the area. I've been going to K&B for years and they have taken great care of my car. The service is always top notch and their prices are fairly reasonable than other mechanics in the area. I had taken my car to another mechanic to have the AC recharged but something went wrong and the AC compressor fell apart. The other mechanic said it would take a week to get the part and replace it so I called K&B and they fixed it for me the same day. I saved hundreds of dollars so thank you Tom!

Tom from K&B is the nicest person. I was quoted $800 from Yates to clear the ducts around my sunroof in my Mazda cx5. The clogs were causing water to leak inside the car. I called K&B and Tom was so responsive and had me come by at a time where he was free. I was in and out in 15 minutes. He wouldnt take a penny from me. I think we found ourselves a new mechanic! I m very peculiar about the work that is done on my 2009 Outback so I do a ton of research before taking my car to a shop. Tom identified the risks of doing a ball joint and even said he d sometimes recommend letting the dealer do the job on these Subarus (+1 for honesty). However, his assessment lined up perfectly with my research and the price that he quoted me for a new spindle + ball joint was significantly less than the dealer (think 2 for the price of 1). From the beginning Tom came across as super honest and knowledgeable and so, I also had him do the rear shocks. I hope I don t have to see him again, but if I do I ll be coming back here for sure and will absolutely recommend him to others. The reasonable prices are the cherry on top. The 200+ 5 star reviews do not lie.

I would give 10 stars if possible. Tom and staff are personable, knowledgeable, and most of all, fair. Took it there after I was quoted thousands of dollars in repairs at another shop. Tom was honest and only told me what needed to be fixed to be safe. I wouldn t take it to any other place now as long as I m in the area. Top shelf.

Tom and everyone at K&B were absolutely phenomenal. I called later in the day today asking for estimates for new brakes and rotors and Tom asked me to come by so he could take a look before quoting me. I went down to the shop and he immediately took care of me and quoted me a lower price than a competitor down the street - even had the brakes and rotors installed on the spot.Tom was so personable with me and other customers in the shop and you can tell he is truly passionate about his work and the other employees at the shop. Would highly recommend and plan to go back for all my auto maintenance needs.Service: Brakes
