Always a great experience working with Jack and his team. I ve had all my cars serviced there over the years; Mercedes E350, Lexus SUV, Infiniti QX80. They get you in/out and the work is always done correct and at a fair price. Most importantly, I trust them.

George s is one of the best repair shops in the area for European cars as well as others. They ve been servicing our vehicles for many years. Jack is fair and honest about what needs to be done to get our cars in perfect working order.

Jack is respectful and has always kept my Lexus 400 in top shape. The car has never run better and the first 100K miles has given me hope that I may see another.Shortly after my car was hit when I was parked. No note, just a lot of damage. After several estimates, I sent the car to Jack. There was damage to the suspension, tire and fender. Jack helped me with mechanical parts and set me up with a body shop. The car was restored to great shape. A 1996 Lexus 400 is a great car that parts are hard to find, so George's Foreign car service gets my vote every time. By the way, the other estimates were higher before the mechanical wheel damage was discovered .

I've taken some unique vehicles here over the past few years and I am always pleased with the service. Jack and his crew give an honest assessment of the maintenance needs and are extremely professional in getting the work done and communicating with me. The experience from drop off, to pick up, is exceptional. Had a serious issue after hours and had to have my car towed. Drop off was easy and secure. The customer interface (with links texted) was smooth and easy to use. Estimates were provided quickly and with detail. The technicians were extremely knowledgeable and communicative and made me feel confident and helped explain exactly what needed to be done. Work was wrapped up quickly and priced extremely competitively. Pick up was a pleasure. I never imagined I could enjoy sending my car to the shop, but after this great experience I can t recommend George s Foreign Car Service enough.

I have been coming here to get my Mini serviced for a few years. The service is always very friendly and quick. The prices are reasonable, and you get an estimate in advance, which is very helpful. I highly recommend!

Phenomenal service at a great price! Jack and Nelson took amazing care of my 1987 Toyota Land Cruiser and ensured that every aspect of it was safe and sound. Communication and attention to detail were amazing and I will not use any other shop in Alexandria! Thanks again, guys!

In addition to excellent work and advice, the work is fairly-priced especially considering vehicle age and complexity of our 20-year old Audi. Jack has earned my trust as the right mechanic for our car; we d likely not continue to own it if we didn t have someone with his capabilities. I appreciated a pricey option he once presented to us that he said was not worth it (passing up the revenue) and that he wouldn t do it for himself - thanks Jack!

Great auto mechanic shop , fully equipped with all diagnostic equipment for domestic and import vehicles. One stop shop for all your vehicle maintenance needs. Clean auto mechanic shop. oil change was done in less than hour .

I would give 6 stars if I could! After damaging my car close by (I got caught in a flash flood), I managed to get to George's Foreign Car Service. I had no appointment, and it was almost closing time, but I was helped immediately, shown great kindness, even offered a ride home. My car was fixed the next day for a VERY reasonable fee. I would recommend to anyone!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great service as always from an experienced family-run business! George and Jack are very accommodating to challenges in schedules for drop-off and pick-up. They recently did fine work on an old Subaru that came into my possession! Running like a top!

I wholehearted trust Jack and team - first with my Saab and now with my Volvo. They are knowledgeable, trustworthy, and competent. I feel like Jack treats me like I m his sister, and more importantly is honest and guides me just like he d do for his sister (for example if something doesn t really need done yet or can hold off until next time, he will say so). I am happy with the routine maintenance work on my Alfa Romeo. The shop was knowledgeable on a not so common brand. I am new to the area and saw the great reviews for GFCS and decided to give it a shot. I am happy with both the work and level of service. I would recommend to anyone looking for a dealer alternative.

EXCELLENT service. On this particular visit, Jack repaired an issue in the undercarriage of my A5 and also caught a warning light that I hadn't noticed regarding my tire pressure, which was a nail in the sidewall of a rear tire. He took care of everything with no drama and I had my car back the next day. I wish everyone was this good!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I ve been going to Jack for the better part of two years for all my car s maintenance and repairs. I ve had a fantastic experience with him, and I m convinced he s extended the life of my car. I ve gotten tires, shocks, brakes, oil changes, and he s worked one or two major issues with my car. He was able to diagnose and repair all the issues with my car, and his prices are reasonable when compared to the local BMW dealer. He also delivers what he promises. A word of advice, he s a small shop so it sometimes takes some patience with larger repairs, but they will be done right. All in all, I highly recommend him, and I m sorry to leave him when I move from the area.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

For several years I've been a happy customer of Jack Z. at George's Foreign Car Service. You can trust him to suggest necessary repairs as opposed to those that pad his bank account at your expense. The services are performed right the first time and are done when he promised. I recently had to go to the dealership for a recall and while there, they found an issue and gave me an estimate of $1,020. Because I trust Jack and would rather pay him for the repairs, he fixed it for $191.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, A/C installation & repair

I researched a few auto shops before I came across George s Foreign Car Service. From my first call with Jack I knew this would be my home for repairs on my car. As a woman auto shops are always intimidating because you never know if people will try to get over on you. I called and spoke with Jack, we set my appointment, I received reminders via text and email and a call up until it was time for my car to be serviced. The reminders were super helpful. I dropped my car off at 12:30 for brakes and was given a pick up time at 4:30 pm. A text message came through just before 2:00 pm that my car was ready! Quicker than BMW!! The price was reasonable and everyone seemed pleasant at the shop! I love great service and rarely ever leave reviews! If you re looking for an honest, quick and reasonable service for your car, give this shop a try!! This will definitely be my new home for repairs!!! Jack even put my tags on for me!! I am thoroughly happy with the service, just in case you can t sense my exuberance through this review!!!Service: Brakes

We've been taking our Porsche Cayenne to George's for a couple of years now, and we are very happy with the service. Every time Jack works on the car, I have a moment remembering our prior experiences with the two dealerships near here. If you're looking for expert, inexpensive service, this is your place. I came in thinking that my car needed a new transmission, but after taking a thorough look Jack told me I just needed a transmission fluid change. I really appreciated him not taking advantage of me when I would have paid for a service I didn't need. I also price checked all the line items on his estimate, and based on my research his price for each was either market or below market rate. I spent a lot of time looking for a mechanic I could trust both to fix my car and to charge a fair price, and I found it here.

Always excellent work, but needs to keep appointments tight. No point in making an appointment 3 weeks in advance and dropping the car off at 900 am, when the mechanic doesn't even look at the car until 300 pm and then repair work is discovered. Another appointment, another delay until late afternoon, until the work is completed. If car looked at 930, work could have been completed before end of day.Service: Engine repair

I have found this business and the people who work there to be trustworthy. I had a very good idea what was wrong and they diagnosed the problem. They actually slightly underdiagnosed the problem, IMHO and I insisted that they do a little additional work. This indicates that they are not out to milk the customer for money. Sure it costs a lot to get your car repaired. But that is the world we live in. The people who work here have earned my trust. I am happy with the repair. I had a car that overheated. Fortunately, no major damage to anything other than the coolant system and some of the parts. It is fixed. The major wait was for relatively long delivery times for the parts. They do not control that. My suggestion is they look into providing loaner cars. They could be reserved just for repeat customers. They don't have to be too nice, just clean and functional. Just a thought. I know it would be a cost to them, but would be very nice for some people who are single and don't own multiple cars.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I've used a lot of shops over my 35 of owning and maintaining 15 different vehicles, everything from a Datsun B210 to a 2018 Audi A5, and I consider Jack (George's son) and his team to be among the best. Over the last year Jack has done extensive work on my and my kids' current 4 vehicles: replaced an alternator in a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder, diagnosed a troubling starter problem/replaced starter and valve covers on a 2006 Nissan Titan, replaced front suspension components and drive shaft on a 2013 Honda pilot, and routine maintenance as well as warranty work on my 2018 Audi A5. On Jack's advice I purchased the extended warranty on the Audi when I bought it used from Audi Arlington. I'm glad I took his advice as I've already racked up $3,500 in repairs on a warranty (Repairpal/Assurant) that cost me $5K, Jack was nice enough to also work directly with the warranty company and make everything seamless so I'll I had to do was drop the car off, pick it up, and pay my deductible; I never had to even call the warranty company. I have a 2007 Saab and took it previous locations where they couldn't diagnose the issue properly for a check engine light. Took it to George's, Jack was super friendly and professional. He figured out the problem and called me with what needed to be repaired. He didn't try to sell me on anything and prices were very reasonable. Replaced my ignition coils, sparkplug, and a suspension item. My car is riding better than ever. First off... Jack was awesome to work with. He was professional, straight forward and knowledgeable about Audi's.This shop is busy, but it's for a reason. If you can call ahead they will find the time to get you in.I brought my 2012 Audi A7 to George's on it last leg. Oil had somehow leaked in to the transmission and into some major electrical components. Nothing worked in my car, and I could barely drive it to the shop.After researching the issue it was a common flaw in Audi A7's that usually leads to them being totaled.I worked with Jack and he was able to save my Audi and fix it a fair price. They also fixed some minor issued while they were fixing my electrical wiring.The communication was consistent the entire time they had my car, and I never felt like I was being misled.If you have a foreign car... I've been using George's to service and repair my 2013 Jetta TDI for several years and they continue to impress me. I just had some more major work done on the diesel exhaust system, and they did a great job at a fair price that saved me a fortune off going to the VW dealer. I recommend George's highly and Jack, my main POC there, is excellent. George's is amazing! I became a loyal customer for life when Jack looked at my car FOR FREE when it was turning off randomly in the middle of the highway. Jack takes care of my car (a Mini Cooper Countryman) and she runs beautifully! Just got the timing belt replaced and Jack stuck to the estimate and finished with the work on time. I'm so happy to have found someone I can trust with my car.
