As a 24 year old woman it is always difficult to find a shop that will not take advantage of you but I can honestly say you do not have to worry about that here! I had such a wonderful experience with this shop! I would absolutely recommend them for all of your vehicle needs. They were very honest and did not try to sell me anything I did not need. Wahid is very kind, professional and really cares about his customers like family. I dropped my vehicle off on a Friday evening before they closed and had both of my front lower control arms, an engine mount and an engine mount torque rod replaced and I got my vehicle back by Saturday afternoon. I only paid $1600 for everything whereas the dealer had quoted me $3600 for the same work. My car is running better than it ever has. I will never take my vehicle anywhere else and will be coming back for my oil change soon! Thank you Capitol Auto Care for making this a stress free experience.

Not just my preferred mechanic but also an amazing human experience. Having issues with your car is never fun, but as soon as you walk in your greeted with a genuine smile and the knowledge that you won't be over charged. Once my oil was running low, although I didn't realize it. I pulled in because the check oil light came on and he filled it up for $20 flat. Beyond that the owner is a grateful, humble man who has a optimistic outlook on life and feels blessed for the life he leads. It's impossible to leave this place without feeling some sense of joy.... and I remind you, it's a mechanic shop.

I've taken my auto here for years and have been consistently happy with the service. I particularly appreciate Wahid's honesty - he will tell me what does and does not need to be done, what needs to be done now and what can wait. I've never felt like I've been upsold on services and parts that I don't need.I've occasionally sought a second opinion on large or complicated repairs, but for the most part, they've been in line with Capitol Auto's first assessment. Prices and wait times are reasonable given the quality of service. This will continue to be my first stop for auto repairs.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Steering & suspension replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

Dealer Sergio was rude and wouldn t even consider going down on a price on a vehicle that had 70,000 plus miles that has been there for 4 Months. I understand it was time to close I came to make a deal and he didn t wanna work with me or even try to work with me the vehicle isn t worth with the price. Three people went to see it and haven t even considered buying it I was going to buy but NVM see ya

I have gone to this shop a number of times and they are amazing. No BS, just simple facts. Took my car in with a number of issues and the price tag on repairs was great. He gave me an assessment of outstanding issues that was direct and accurate (as these are issues I was aware of previously) and I felt absolutely no pressure about the using their shop, which was refreshing. I had bad tires among other things and the mechanic was honest and said I could get the tires for a better deal elsewhere. Great place - will be coming back for all my future work.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

The most helpful, honest, polite and professional auto service provider in the area. On December 31st, the check engine light turned on just when the car had to be driven to Toronto. While most car mechanics were closed and others I called not willing to help, these folks did not refuse. Kabir figured out the problem with his expertise. Due to the urgency, he was willing to step away from the car he was working on and fix the issue as a priority. Now I know where to always take my car.

I'm going to give 2 stars as I want to give benefit of doubt to their team and actually believe that some of the customers get here an honest quote and repair. Unfortunately I think zip code has a lot to do with prices at this particular location. After our household got a second car I was in a situation that allowed a second opinion and to my surprise it was fraction of the cost that Capitol Auto Care team quoted me (I spent $250 instead of $1600) car passed the inspection without any issues. The owner seems to be a nice guy but the prices and recommendations are not right. To be honest he told me that the only customers he makes money of are the ones that still hold on to their older cars. I supported this local business for as long as I could but I don't trust the quotes and repairs that the shop is offering. Get a second opinion but not it the same zip code.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Had my car serviced at a good price back in November last year. Wahid was nice and offered good advice, but i was unhappy to find out after i got my car home that someone had apparently dropped a rachet on my car hood while replacing the spark plugs, damaging the paint. I know it was the ratchet by the pattern of the paint chips that chipped off. The price for the work was reasonable, but I would not take my car back here after that, especially when no one said anything about it to me. Unpleasant. Whoever worked on my car should have at the very least apologized.

I had my 2019 Nissan Pathfinder towed here after breaking down and reading the reviews, which solidified my decision. Wahid was amazing and kept me informed from start to finish. My driveshaft broke ( not sure andhow this happened) I was upset my policy didn't cover anything including my rental. Capital Auto Care provided me with such great service and price, that I calmed down and waited for the work to be done. Wahid also called about my brakes and got those done also. My truck drives like it's brand new again! I will definitely use them and refer them to everyone I know! Thanks guys!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Wahid and his staff know there stuff. They are friendly, knowledgeable and will give you there absolute honest opinion. They can be busy and if you need your car back quickly, you need to let them know. They are not speedy, so be sure to arrange alternate transportation. However, I don't trust easily. But I trust Wahid. When we were looking for a new car, I called him to get an opinion. I told him I didn't want to see him very much! Lol. And he gave an honest answer. He knows that car repair costs a lot and he helps us try to avoid that.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Fantastic service. I was able to drop my car last night after work for a check engine light. I got a call this morning that they'd diagnosed it and received a quote for a faulty valve and an hour of labor. By around 2pm this afternoon, I got a call for pickup. The quality of customer service is unparalleled for this area, and I'm impressed by the speed and quality of both service and customer care. 10/10 would recommend.

It s always hard to know when to trust an auto mechanic shop but through multiple interactions for 3 vehicles, I feel that Wahid and his shop provide great service and stand behind their work. Most recently we had an issue with one of our vehicles which took some time to diagnose and Capitol was able to repair it but Wahid was honest with us that the root cause was indeterminate. He was up front and gave me options to consider. Highly recommend this shop for your automotive needs.

We have been taking our cars to Wahid for at least the last 8 years for everything from major issues to oil changes. While I was this morning for an urgent issue with the brakes on my Ford, I met someone whose family has been bringing their cars to Wahid since the early 1990s (back when he worked at a gas station in Springfield). Wahid and his team are always friendly, helpful, and honest. His prices are good, and we we will never take our cars anywhere else as long as we live in this area. If I could give Wahid 6 stars, I would.

Had a good experience here. Getting your brakes repaired isn't a fun experience but at least they made it pretty painless. Wahid is a great guy and saved my torn up rotors to explain to me what went wrong and why they needed to be replaced. Quick service.

What a great experience! I had the misfortune of hitting a pothole so hard that it cracked my radiator and I broke down right in front of Capitol Auto Care by some twist of fate. I was at the mercy of being broken down far from my regular trusted mechanic. Wahid and his guys were nice enough to take a look at my dilemma and quickly diagnosed the cracked radiator, which had emptied my radiator in only two blocks. Wahid was very friendly and gave me a rough estimate on the spot which was quite reasonable. He had the car fixed within 24 hours at the very reasonable price as promised which was great considering I had to get a whole new radiator. The shop is kept in immaculate condition and you can tell that Wahid and his crew really care about their customers and their facility. I would highly recommend Capitol Auto Care and would not hesitate to return for any of my service needs.

First time visit - I came in based on the high Google ratings and was not disappointed. The service was outstanding as they were able to attend to my vehicle immediately. Costs were very reasonable and I did not feel "up sold" at all. For issues related to my car that they could not tackle, they recommended me to other repair shops near my home and even provided me their contact information. Will be coming back.

Do your homework and avoid this business!!We saw Wahid for a punctured tire because he was highly recommended on Google and in local community groups online. We were told he was reasonable with fair prices.We ended up needing all our tires replaced and he gave us a quote for a set new tires at $240 a tire plus installation. We are in the middle of being posted away from the area with Defence and with two small kids in the middle of a pandemic, we don t have a lot of time. I think a lot of people are in this position at the moment. We trusted that he would provide a fair quote based on his reviews and reputation and so agreed to the work to be done the same day.Thinking about it overnight the cost didn t seem right. Some research confirmed we were sold tires that retail for $160. His local competitors (NTB) sell these same tires for $180.We had a friend call and ask for a quote. She was quoted $240 a tire for a better set of tires. Seems like Wahid charges whatever he feels like on the day, regardless of the product and quality.When I called to discuss this he said he buys the tires he sold us for $200 and needs to make some money off them. He said if we liked other businesses prices we should shop with them; absolutely we will be doing this in the future and encourage other people to do this too! In the end he offered a big discount on our next set of tires. Needless to say there will never be a next set of tires from him based on the service this time.In the end we paid $320 more for a set of tires than market price. No dispute that we agreed to having the work done. Our mistake was trusting Wahid to provide a fair and reasonable quote.Do yourself a favor and support a different local business.Service: Tires

The shop was recommended by a nearby place that couldn't fit me in that day. Glad it it happened. Wahid, the owner, met me with a warm and cheerful smile and asked about my problem. After explaining my situation he said he'd take a look but wasn't sure if he could fit me in going into a holiday weekend. Wahid broke down the repair, part's options and labor costs. I was able to get my vehicle repaired and at a reasonable price. I will continue to use Capitol Auto Care for my repair needs.

Thanks wahid. You saved me $700 on my AC repair.The repair shop near my house in silver spring was asking $1750 to replace the compressor and condenser. I was like hell no.As previous customer of wahid I knew he would give me an honest opinion, and he eventually found out that my condenser was just fine since there were no leaks.I still go see him since I moved away. Honest and high quality work. Highly recommend his ship.V

Experienced great service at Capital Auto Care! Amazing staff, great prices and convenient location all make for a great auto shop. I had a tricky electrical/car computer system issue and they were able to solve it efficiently and kept me updated along the way. Would highly recommend!

I took my car here based on a roommates recommendation. My car had a mystery problem and they were so gracious in spending a week looking at it and figuring everything out. I recently bought a new car and they were the people I trusted to look it over! As long as I'm in the area I'll recommend this place and take my vehicles here. Great, fair service and friendly people! 5 stars.

I've been going to Capitol Auto Care since moving to the area a few years ago.The service that I receive is always outstanding.I know my way around a vehicle and have always tried to do my own maintenance when time and space allowed, but there are always those instances when it's best to let someone else handle the job.I always go to Capitol Auto Care knowing the repair will be done right the first time, on time and at the price quoted.I highly recommend Capitol Auto Care.

I take both of my BMW's here for annual inspection. Wahid is a stand up, honest, and professional guy. He's extremely trustworthy and goes the extra mile. His rates are more than fair. While I've never had any major repairs done here, my girlfriend needs some and we'll eventually get the car to Wahid. We did take her car here to have tires mounted. She drives a honda CRV with the 5th wheel on the back. We only bought 4 new tires and asked Washid to put the tire in best condition on the rear to be used as a spare. Wouldn't you know that when we picked the car up, there was a brand new, 5th tire, on the rear of her CRV. To say is plainly and simply, Wahid gave her a brand new tire for free!Wahid is great, the shop does good work, they are honest, trustworthy, and charge extremely reasonable rates. I'm very glad this shop is near my house and I will continue using Wahid and recommending people his way.

Update!!!Huge edit to this. I have to check my paperwork that came with the repair done here. This alternator failed within a year. I just had to replace it. I was thankfully here at home. Going to check my paperwork and see if I'm entitled to a refund. March 19, 2023!

The boys over at Capitol Auto Care replaced the timing belt + water pump in my Audi A4 for a fraction of the dealership quote. Wahid was knowledgeable and friendly just like the reviews described. Plus, one of the mechanics gave me rides to and from my office in Crystal City.Thank you.
