They were the only place in town even willing to look at my wife's emergency flat tire today. John was very helpful and was able to work me in to get her tire fixed so I could get her car on the road again. They were the last place I called today but will be the first place I call next time. Thank you!

Good luck. I took my van here for a brake job, within a week had a terrible vibration, brought it back and left it for three days for them to correct the issue, and finally had to take it to Honda of Kingsport for them to tell me that it had the wrong brake pads installed. Honda of Kingsport had a video documenting the faulty workmanship, which I showed the owner. I asked the owner to rectify the situation only to be given a number for their warranty company to try to work out a refund for the parts, which i had no chance of getting because the warranty was for the shop, not the customer. Why should I have to call their warranty company? The owner tried to say that I was ripped off by the Honda place, but my vehicle has run smoothly ever since Honda installed the correct pads. I will never bring another vehicle here, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If I want to pay dealership prices, I'll go to the dealership. At least there, I can get genuine parts.

I drove 5 hours from GA to have my car inspected. When I arrived, I was informed that the inspector had left for the day but would be available in the morning. I informed the manager I came up just for the inspection and plan to drive right back to GA. She asked me to wait and she would find someone to do it. And, she did. We were in and out in less than an hour. I cannot say enough about how well we were treated. We even got a recommendation for dinner before we got back on the road. Go to Gibson!! I am sure you will be treated right!!

I went in because my car was over heating they didn t but a scanner on they just assumed it was the water pump and changed it I was there from 930 to 430 after that they tell me it s good to drive as I get in the car start it and start the process of linking my phone to the car it over heated In The parking lot I have already paid 800 dollars at this point same issue no changes we ll I then watch him plug his scanner in and find out it s a 30 doller part that I then had to pay for and took him about 10 mins to change the car preformed fine after that I do not recommend going her at allServices: Electrical repair, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto maintenance

Daughter broke down on the interstate not far from her Auntie and Uncle car was towed there. As a father I always feel mechanics see women coming the see dollars. Didn t feel this way I got a quote sent to me and explained. I was very happy to have them in my pocket while my daughter is at college. Had a busted radiator hose while in town. Found the closest service center and I am thankful it was Gibson's. Had my parts there in 15 min and worked me into their busy schedule. Emily and the whole crew are awesome. We broke down on the highway late afternoon and Emily recommended a towing service that not only brought in our car, but took us to our hotel. Emily kept us in the loop with everything going on with our car and made sure we understood what was happening. They got us in and out within a day. They obviously care a great deal about their work and their customers, as I just got a text from the owner making sure that the work they did held up on our way home. Awesome place!

I came in near noon, needing an inspection on my car as I had just realized mine was out. I was told it would be 1:15 before they could get to it due to lunch break. That was understandable as my mistake should not make an emergency on their behalf. Thus, I walked down the road to an ice cream shop and settled in for what I thought would be well over an hour of waiting. However, imagine my surprise when I got a call at 12:35!!! My car was ready as the owner himself had went ahead and inspected it early for me!!! I was beyond happy and satisfied!!! I recently moved to this area and had no idea where to take my car. I'm so glad I took it to Gibson!!! They have offically earned a new life-long customer from me and my husband!!! Thank you!!!

We had an emergency break down at 11am on a Saturday. These guys close at noon on Saturdays and they were able to somehow diagnose and fix our problem in under an hour. Wow! The customer service was excellent and the time it took to fix the problem was miraculous. Everyone we encountered there was kind. Shawn was absolutely a master mechanic and made it all seamless and easy for us. What a high quality car service center. We will definitely go here again. Thank you Gibson for saving our day!

Parts I needed for a repair costed $50 total but Gibsons tried to charge me $545. Bought the parts myself and had it done within an hour. I'm new in town and had issues with my truck. Gibson's have a great name in town for treating people right. Emily was the best and the mechanics were very thorough. If you break down on the interstate, don't stop at this establishment! First words we heard, can you move your car? It was on a Thursday, second statement, it's 4:30 pm.....can't fix until Monday. (Did not even ask what was wrong?) The employee was rude as could be. No empathy or customer service whatsoever......southern hospitality? I think not......:(Service: Battery

The people here were very helpful and worked very hard to get us going the same day even though it was 3pm and they close at 5pm. If we need anymore work when in that area we will definitely go back. We were traveling when it happen. The price was reasonable as well. Definitely would recommend to anyone needing service. Thank You all!!!

My battery completely died and I needed to have it replaced. Called Saturday morning after trying to jump it and they scheduled a truck to come try and jump me Monday morning, and then get the car to the shop to replace it and check everything. They took the time to talk with the battery company and get the new one prorated, only charged $25 for the jump service, and cleaned all of my connectors and cables before installing. While I had to wait about 90 minutes past my scheduled time to get the car jump, they were extremely nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this location!

These people were great. I had an emergency situation bc alternator died and I'm from out of town and they fixed me up quickly. They didn't try to cheat me on hours and labors they were good honest people. Thank you for helping a stranger out and being friendly to boot. The ladies at the counter are awesome!!!

I recently moved to Abingdon..have a Volvo..takes month to get an appt with Volvo..I have used Gibsons for approximately a year now..I feel they are honest. And of course they have to make money but not a rip off..I am all about trust and so far...I feel they are fair...Caleb has been awesome...He is the tech that has done most of my repairs..I appreciate feeling comfortable with knowing I won't be ripped off...and the ladies at the front desk are very sweet and helpful....Thanks for your continued excellent service..Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto brake repair, Engine repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto battery maintenance, Wiper blade installation, Auto brake replacement, Oil change

Brought my own part catalytic converter took 6 hours to put on a 4 bolt. Bolt on no welding then I was informed I needed a new manifold my car had no other problems. They tried to charge me 150$ for a 80$ part then another 200 in labor. Car ran good for 1 day then emmison light come back on they probably cleared it on there computer. Will never take my car back there again. But they was professional and nice and did a good job on the part that was worked on.

Initially left my phone number out of their file. Was able to diagnose and fix a misfiring cylinder and CEL. Communicated well, listened to my input and concerns and got everything up and running for a very reasonable cost. Didn't try to upsell. Warned about the 3.5% fee on debit card processor. Followed up the next business day to make sure everything was still good.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

When my car overheated on the interstate as I was passing through Abingdon, I had it towed to Gibson s. Emily at the front desk and the service technicians worked hard to locate the part I needed and complete the repair in a timely fashion. I appreciated their friendliness, quick service, and reasonable prices. Recommended!

Will not go anywhere else. The crew at Gibson's Service Center is amazing. From the owner, to the gals up front to the awesome mechanics they have. Josh always works on my vehichle and I am never displeased. Prices are fair and they are honest.

Would not recommend. Had so many issues with them. First, had warranty on something. When it came to to use or, they said there was no warranty. Another time, we told them exactly what to fix. They go and try and replace everything else before saying out was what we told them. We ended up taking the car to Subaru to di the work. Lastly, they quoted us $160. Then they go a more expensive part (without calling to see if it's ok), and charge us almost $100 more.Do not come here, Gibson is horrible.

I brought my car in with several issues. They diagnosed each one and gave me peace of mind. They won my full trust. Reasonable and efficient and very nice. Making them my forever go-to garage
