I m pretty surprised by all the 5 star reviews. I feel it leans closer to 2 than 3, but I m rounding up giving the benefit of the doubt. The menu *sounds* phenomenal, but the execution fell flat. The brie bake was salty & plain, and meatballs underwhelming. The cocktails were extremely bad, however I recognize they re obviously more known for their wine list, which we did not get into. The pappardelle with duck was good, just not great. The smash burger was solid- ironically the best thing we tried. Maybe 7.8/10? The host was friendly. The server wasn t rude, but not very nice & welcoming either. We left pretty disappointed, only because we had high hopes from the online menu and excellent reviews. Overall 2.4/5. Not trying to sound harsh, just doing my best to give an honest assessment.

Visiting from Philly, we made reservations at Cork and we re not disappointed! The atmosphere was so calming and cozy. Our waitress Em was attentive and provided wine recommendations based on our taste. The pasta dishes and the focaccia bread appetizer were delicious - the pasta was so fresh. If you are looking for a great place to eat while in Stowe, definitely go to Cork.

A premium restaurant in Stowe, CORK has a bright and airy feel to it with welcoming staff. The menu is tight but has enough to satisfy most palettes plus they have extensive natural wines (a definite plus). We ordered the Big Salad (tasty), Cavatelli (very good), Baked Mushrooms (delicious) and Churros (ok) for dessert. Special call out to the Pamplemousse cocktail...very fresh, light and tasty. Enjoy!Parking: CORK is located just off of main street so you can find street parking there or there is a larger lot just down the street towards Green Mountain Inn.

My wife and I stopped here based on the 4.6 rating on Google. This was a very average, unremarkable meal, at an above average price. The writing skills exceed the cooking talent, as the descriptions of the food sets a high expectation that the food does not live up to. Nothing bad is happening here, but nothing really good is happening either. We had the focaccia, which could have benefitted from salt or a little acid as it was bland, the olive oil used was wonderful. The sweet potatoe fritters were really fun and tasty. We found the Monk fish to be tough, which was off putting, and the sauce was fighting itself, pine nuts too bitter for the not quite sweet enough raisins, the stand out of the dish being some delightful olives, which overpowered everything on the plate. We passed on dessert based on our experience to that point. The service and hostess were pleasant.

My wife and I had dinner there tonight for the first time and we will definitely be back. We both had the gnocchi and being a connoisseur of this dish and having had it at other fine establishments this was definitely the best. The sauce was delicious, mozzarella cheese not overly done and the outer edges of the gnocchi a nice crisp to it. The portion size was just right, I could have this dish every night. Bravo to your chef!!!

Cork is more than just a small local wine bar, and exceeded all of our expectations. The wine menu is unique- offering wines that you won t find almost anywhere else! Which we loved! The wines they select are made naturally, have a low environmental impact, and are all from family-run vineyards. I loved that so much that we bought 5 bottles to take home too!I ordered the kale salad and the chicken entree for dinner, and both blew me away. My husband ordered the corn poblano dip and the halibut and said that he could eat the corn dip every day! So good.We will definitely be back here.. often!

We had a great time at this restaurant. The food was amazing. Our waitress (em) was not great. She was a bit rude, did not seem to be having a good night.Taking everything into consideration still a 5

Our server, Mackenzie, went above and beyond to make our first, post-wedding, meal one to remember. We were greeted with two glasses of sparkling wine and Mackenzie was very knowledgeable about the wine selection and made certain we had the perfect pairing for our meals. The food and wine were wonderful and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend when you re in Stowe!

We keep going back for the mussels. A great find. Small but interesting menu. The staff is very knowledgeable and the service is very good.6/18/22 It has been a couple of years since our last visit to Cork and we were not disappointed. Mussels are no longer on the menu but great options. Loved the Summer Salad, Moroccan Roasted Vegetables and Rhubarb Custard Cake.Vegetarian options: The menu is limited but good vegetarian options and willingness to adapt for dietary restrictions.

Unfortunately my girlfriend and I both got food poisoning after dining here. The food was just OK, and we both agreed there are much better restaurants in the area and wouldn't come back to Cork. The atmosphere is very nice though. We got the fritters, focaccia, chicken wings, and brussels. The fritters and chicken wings were the best, but were both disappointed by the brussels, which we felt lacked any flavor and could make better at home.

The food and atmosphere were good, unfortunately we had a bad experience. We made and confirmed a reservation via Resy. When we arrived we confirmed the name and time of our reservation and were seated. After which we were questioned twice as to whether we actually had a reservation (after we had ordered), and were asked to provide proof multiple times (which we had). Its really unfortunate that this happened because this would have been a nice experience otherwise. So I guess if you're booking via Resy be aware, or double check that they have your reservation in the books before you are seated (which professional establishments generally do).

What a lovely place! The food was great, the drinks were amazing, the staff was friendly. We had beats salad, chicken and burger - everything was yummy. Especially, I highly recommend chicken - not many places cook it as good as at Cork. The overall atmosphere at the restaurant was cozy and festive. We had a great experience.

I m so glad we chose this spot while we were visiting Stowe! The interior is eclectic and cozy, the food is fantastic, and the wines were unique and amazing. I can t remember our server s name (long blonde hair, glasses) but she was super friendly and helpful as well when we had menu questions. We will be back!

Came for a wine tasting on a rainy day.Very interesting selection, but it was a busy day in the peak of the season on a weekend so was a bit rushed.Away from the wine tasting was much more relaxed and staff super friendly and helpful.

While the service and atmosphere was nice, my large plate of squash pasta with a cheese/white sauce was unimaginative and plain. Then I was told that I had to pay $4 extra to get heirloom tomatoes added, which I did (they should have been included with the fairly bland dish). My plate appeared with anemic looking square cut chunks of a clearly unripe tomato that was hard and had little flavor. (there were green sections of the tomato meat!) My waitress assured me that this WAS a local heirloom tomato, which of course, didn t make me feel any less disappointed. What was most surprising was that she didn t remove the upcharge for them off our tab. This issue points to problems with sourcing, with the judgement and competence of the kitchen staff, and the judgement of the wait staff.I won t be back until I hear of significant staff changes.BTW, I didn t send the plate back because, a) it took way too long to finally get served, and b) my date had already started her meal. It looks really bad when service providers try to brush off criticism as if they can t learn or improve from feedback. You CAN and should do better. There s so much to build on.

Place looked and sounded cool, but the staff seemed a little snotty (I felt the vibe that none of them were happy or wanted to be there). We tasted the recommended wines and they were either mediocre or sour at best. We ve had a lot of natural and orange wines and they talked the talk, but couldn t walk the walk. We were disappointed in the wine and atmosphere but didn t have any food.

Very nice place, cozy and well decorated. The server was amazing, she was so kind and patient, we had gluten intolerance and we could not decide on the wine...she helped us with the food and let us try different wines to choose!! the food was different and very good! we had the sausage and mussels, the salmon and the chicken, all delicious and very well prepared!!! thank you!!

Very small menu but they still ran out of their 1 of 6 options. Tight dining area and service was a bit slower than you might expect. Dessert was good, meal was well plated but both were asked to be medium rare/pink but both ended up cooked through. Wine list was good and we ended up enjoying our selections there. Not bad for a small town but other options in Stowe offer a better total experience.

Best dinner we ve had in Vermont in past 4 days! There were 3 of us, Burrata & a Pork appetizers, both excellent! Locally made bread & cheese, delicious red pepper jelly!Dinner was pumpkin gnocchi, chicken thighs braised with white wine white beans, and a short rib. Each was delicious!Desserts were an apple cake and a donut amazing. I don t love apple cake, but it made me a convert. We ve eaten at several great restaurants with great reviews the past 4 nights viewing fall foliage and this is the place we will book every time!Service was great! Cocktails and wine terrific too.

Glad we made reservations because the restaurant was busy on this Friday night in mud season. The 3 of us ordered curried lentils, pork tenderloin, and the winter squash salad with salmon. All were nicely presented and delicious. We didn't see a dessert that caught our eye so we ended the meal with cappuccino. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service excellent. We had a nice evening and would definitely dine at Cork again!

Stoped by to grab a drink before sitting down elsewhere for dinner. The space is beautiful, clean, simple. The wine selection was excellent and we loved the wines we chose! Would definitely come back to try their food. Highly recommend you get a reservation beforehand though..

Appetizers were great. Beet salad was stellar, dirty potatoes get an A+. However if you order the mussels be prepared to still be hungry. Only five mussels in the $17 dish. Mushroom risotto was grossly under seasoned, portion size for a toddler as well. Short ribs were underwhelming, too. Service was good, wine was great, but the food left much to be desired.
